My friends and I enjoyed a Saturday morning brunch at Tiny Lou's. I've visited the restaurant for dinner last year and the server told us to try the brunch. I'm so glad we did. When we arrived, the valet received our vehicle and let us know parking is $5 with validation from the restaurant. I was able to easily secure our reservation on open table. We were greeted by a very sweet hostess, who asked each person in our party about food allergies and put the notes in for the server. We were seated next to a sunny window and the server quickly welcomed us. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and even went and found some hot tea for me. We enjoyed all of our food and the portions were so generous that most of us took food home. We look forward to returning. read more

We were so excited to try Tiny Lou's great ambiance, cozy tables. Makes you wanna order a cocktail or three and splurge. However ... five of us made a reservation, for 5:30, our plan was to eat a celebratory birthday dinner ( two birthdays) then catch the sunset on the roof. We should've known there would be issues from the drink order: A vodka tonic order yielded a vodka soda even after she confirmed he wanted tonic, not soda. The other drinks came out at different times. We ordered bread and our salads and entrees. Then the server brought out a plate of deviled eggs " a gift from the chef!" How nice. They were good, we appreciated it. Our entrees were OK: Short ribs were rich and meaty, redfish was good but a bit overcooked and dried out, pork was OK, mussels were good, but the bread wasn't grillled and was slathered with almost inedibly salty garlic butter. The salads were meh. We had wine and water and asked for our checks so we could make sunset. She brought back one check for two couples and a single. We asked if she could split it. She came back a few minutes later, after we sent the birthday folks to the roof for sunset, she said we could "just throw a card down" for the combined check. We reminded her that we wanted to split the check. She completely forgot. Several minutes later, we go our checks. Those deviled eggs that were supposed to be a "a gift from the chef?" They were on one of the checks. Thanks so much for the gift. Anyway, we quickly paid and made it upstairs before the sun was below the horizon. The roof is awesome. But Tiny Lou's is a one and done. I've been hearing about Tiny Lou's for a while and finally snapped at a chance to have dinner with my friends here...WOW!!! The restaurant is located on the terrace level of The Hotel Clermont. It's quite the sexy space- incredibly inviting...our server Tori - was wonderful, she offered great suggestions and worked out a lovely vegetarian offering for one my dinner companions. We ordered the Watermelon Salad which was sweet pieces of yellow watermelon with feta, Vidalia onion and mint - so refreshing- we also ordered one of the side items as an appetizer Brussels Sprouts- really tasty. My entree was steak frites which needs no introduction- it was prepared perfectly medium and I order a side of roasted mushrooms-there were a variety in the mix and they added so much depth to the steak - a great choice, along with the pepper corns it was truly next level. One of my dinner companions ordered Salmon En Croute - beautifully presented on a broccoli puree..it reminds me of a presentation of "Wellington" I had a few bites and it was delicious. Drinks were offered and replenished- we had a bottle of wine and Tori brought us a complimentary glass of sparkling wine to toast our Birthday Girl - dessert was Pain Perdu - think bread pudding - only much better paired with a scoop of coconut ice cream- they naturally complimented each other - another highly recommended item. We also had a slice of Chocolate layer cake - also delicious..we split the dessert among the 3 of us. All in all ...I will most definitely be back. Very cute and unique dining area at the basement of the Clermont Hotel! I had the duck, which was very delicious and came with a bed of greens and grains. The service was good, and the interior was a nice, dark, and intimate vibe. My friend tried the mushroom cocktail, which she liked. As someone who likes sweet cocktails, it wasn't for me, but if you like a more earthy flavor I would recommend it since it's pretty unique! There is valet parking up front, or free street parking on the neighborhood road nearby. Make sure your entire party is present to be seated, otherwise you will have to wait. They have a bar at the main level which was nice, had good seating options, and cool drink options. I'd definitely come back again! read more

Tiny Lou's is a fun spot to check out! Located in Hotel Clermont, it has a fun speakeasy kind of vibe as you have to go into the restaurant down a flight of stairs. The ambiance feels elegant and is perfect for a date night or special occasion. Our server was very friendly and involved without being overbearing. We split the brioche bread service ($11) and French onion soup ($16). The bread was delicious and the soup was also, although I can understand some other reviews noting the broth is pretty salty. We also tried the bouillabaisse ($30), the grilled pork chop ($35), and couldn't resist a side of the truffle fries ($12) to share. I enjoyed the pork chop as well as the truffle fries, but we both felt the bouillabaisse was pretty bland and not seasoned very well. In general we really enjoyed Tiny Lou's and would like to return, as the menu often changes seasonally. read more

LOVED - the rise and brine cocktail - the cocktail with coca cola in it - fresh bread (both of them) - chips and caviar were ok - beef tartare - onion soup (was salty per reviews but i like that) - truffle fries - deviled eggs - the actual plates they used DIDNT LIKE - bouillabaisse had little flavor, the sauce on the bread was bad IMO - creamed spinach; not one person at the table of 6 liked it - speed of drinks coming out, literally 20-30 minutes to get a drink, so i guess that kept the tab cheap because we literally couldn't drink more service was good but slow. so in short i would definitely come again but not all the dishes are slam dunks and i would be ordering 2 drinks at a time. read more

I was staying at the hotel for the night so since it was a Friday night, I decided to do something special. The restaurant is French along with the decor having a charming flare. I started my meal with the French Onion Soup. I love soup and will almost always try some over a salad any day. This soup was so rich in flavor and delicious. I was so surprised at how good it tasted. I also ordered a cheeseburger and fries. I kept it simple with the food but even so I was not disappointed at all. It was great. To finish the meal I had dessert call Le Salon. It was top tier good and the presentation was exceptional. Every detail of the meal was great. I will return with my family very soon. read more

We heard that Tiny Lou's had a Michelin recommendation and had really high expectations but unfortunately Tiny Lou's did not live up to what we had hoped. The brunch was mediocre and our staff was not very helpful. I've been to other Michelin recommended restaurants and the experience was superb so in comparison Tiny Lou's was quite underwhelming. Had I not known about the Michelin star, I would have given a higher rating, but considering the previous reviews, it is not at the same caliber as other highly recommended restaurants. Maybe it was an off day but the waitress was rude, took quite a long time to take out orders, and when we asked for her recommendations on what to order she said "I don't know y'all are the ones eating." My husband and i celebrated our anniversary at the very cute and romantic Tiny Lou's inside Hotel Clermont. We loved the neon pink sign as you head down the stairs to the restaurant. Our server, Unique was very attentive and gave wonderful recommendations on the dessert. We got the chips and caviar appetizer which was delicious. I only wish it had just a little more caviar. Beautiful decor and lighting. Tiny Lou's has a nostalgic old world feel, and is a treat for the senses. Service was friendly, a bit hands off which was nice to enjoy the ambiance and forget where you were for a moment. Great for a small group or even solo diners. We were seeking lighter dishes tonight since we were dining a bit late. The menu offers a delightful selection that changes with the seasons, allowing you to savor the freshest in-season greens and proteins. I started off with the espresso martini which was one of the best I've had! We also had the brioche bread service which was incredible! Definitely a must have. I had the salmon dish and it was very bland. There was no seasoning on it. The lentils that came with it were not great either. I do not recommend that dish. We celebrated one of our anniversaries here and were so happy we chose to eat at Tiny Lou's. The ambiance was romantic and intimate with beautiful decor of European and French influence. The restaurant was filled with people and great chatter, but not uncomfortably crowded. When it was time for our reservation we were seated quickly and greeted promptly by our server. She was wonderful. She obviously read our reservation note and gave us each a glass of champagne on the house to help us celebrate another year together. And dinner was splendid. We were staying at the hotel where Tiny Lou's is located so we decided to have an early dinner there. We made reservations and were the only people there initially. Then 2 other small tables joined. The host who checked us in was nice. The decor of the restaurant is really beautiful. Lovely table set up, great decor and furniture and good music playing. Our server was okay, she seemed to be in a constant rush to leave our table whenever we ordered anything, which was odd given the restaurant was empty. She wasn't the friendliest either. So I wouldn't say the service was the best. When we asked for the check, she didn't even bring a pen. I tried to get her attention but she didn't seem to hear me or come around so I had to get up and ask the host for a pen. The actual dinner menu has a lot of options, but not too many vegetarian options. A bit on the pricey side as well. My partner ordered the Garden Party cocktail which was pretty good, a little sweet but definitely refreshing. We weren't too hungry so we thought an appetizer, entree and dessert should be enough. We ordered the roasted heirloom carrots to start. They were so delicious. The lentils and carrots were perfect and packed with flavor. For the entree we ordered the tagliatelle. It's made with tomato conserva and parmigiano. The plate looked big initially but the portion was actually super small. It was a tiny amount of pasta and a lot of tomatoes and sauce. The flavor was pretty good but was not filing at all. The appetizer was bigger than the entree. The pasta was $29 and it was definitely not worth the price. For dessert we tried the crepe cake. It was a huge portion for the almost $20 it costs. First bite, I immediately did not like it. There was something very odd about the taste. Turns out the menu they have on their website isn't updated and it was a different compote on the cake. Something I just could not enjoy. I kindly sent it back as I could not eat more of it. The crepe cake from Cake Culture at Ponce City Market was a better experience if you're looking for a crepe cake. Tiny Lou's is a beautiful restaurant but I was quite disappointed. I am grateful for the heirloom carrots as it was the only thing that made my meal enjoyable. read more

Fine dining at it's best. As soon as you walk in, you feel you're at a good place to enjoy an intimate dinner with great food and service. Located in the nice Hotel Clermont we were excited for a nice outing. We were seated off to the corner, table for two and our server graciously arrived welcoming us with a menu and some of the best bread we have ever eaten! French cuisine is almost always expected to be heavy but very flavorful - but this place was on point on everything! The duck confit I ordered was savory and tender, as well as the lentils that accompanied the dish. My wife ordered the Heritage Pork Chop which was absolutely flavorful and delicious! For dessert - an off the chain Toffee Carrot Cake - mind you we are not ones to order carrot cake anywhere. But this one, we could not stop taking spoonful's! The truffle fries were good but very truffle-y (others loved that, just not my personal fave). Music and ambiance are lovely, tables well spaced so you don't feel cramped. Really, the only downside is the parking. Valet is supposedly for hotel guests only, so we had to search for street parking and ended up pretty far away. My only regret is that we didn't get dessert. visited tiny lou's on a holiday, so definitely taking my experience with a grain of salt. my family visited for one of the prix fixe menus. the cocktails were ordered were very sweet, and the old fashioned was just okay. while we all really enjoyed the appetizers, i found all the mains surprisingly bland and underseasoned (fish, beef wellington, chicken). While the menu came with multiple sides to share, they were all underwhelming and underseasoned (potatoes, mac and cheese, greens, cassoulet). overall, i was pretty disappointed. the ambiance was very young; while it wasn't too loud, the music was definitely mostly pop which wasnt the vibe we were expecting. the staff was all very friendly, however, service was decidedly not up to standard. this may be due to understaffing , but we were constantly needing to flag down our server to ask for things like silverware, drinks, and the check. while it was not a bad experience, i definitely don't think it was worth the $95pp price; ultimately, we chose tiny lou's because we thought it would be the type of high quality food and service you might expect from a michelin-recommended hotel restaurant, but it was simply not up to that standard. read more

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night. It wasn't overly crowded but we did notice the lobby bar was much more crowded when we came in. We got seated. The service was good not amazing. Also the drink I originally wanted was sold out. So I had to choose another one. The food was great though. Drinks took a little while because the bar upstairs was crowded. The house bread is unique and tasty. The salmon entree was good sized and delicious. Come with unique greens too and doesn't even need the dressing. Would definitely order this again. For the price of the salmon it's really great because for fine dining it doesn't seem expensive. read more
