Yum Yum Yum! I mean what more can I say?! I was very impressed with my experience here. From the food to the service, everything was amazing. The bartenders were very attentive; even with the busyness of the bar because of happy hour. I didn't order any food items from the HH menu but I did order a cocktail which was the limoncello spritz. It was good. A little tart for my palette. I tend to venture more on the sweet side but decided to order the spritz since it's springtime. The star of my visit was the Caesar salad which they call the grilled gems. There's 3 whole wedges of lettuce, grilled and drizzled with Caesar dressing and a hemp of Parmesan cheese. And they did not skimp on the cheese. And honestly that's how you're a Caesar salad is supposed to be. I would've LOVED to have croutons or maybe almonds just for the crunch but it was still good. I'd definitely come back just for that. I didn't order a full on entree but I did get dessert. The Crème Fraiche gelato to be exact. The olive oil drizzle sold me. While I don't think this is gelato, it was still good. To me, the texture gave regular vanilla ice cream. The olive oil gelato at Iberian pig is still number one in my book. He got the pizza which he enjoyed. I had the sea bass which was tasty. The star of the show was the dessert for me. I love sweets so I may be biased. It had been years since we last went to Ecco, and dining here again recently reminded me why. The menu was already small, and when I asked about specials, there weren't any. Add in that a couple of items were sold out, and suddenly the already limited menu felt tiny. That said, the goat cheese balls are as memorable as ever, crisp, creamy, and delicious. The margarita pie was a cute personal-size pizza (four slices), and the mezzaluna pasta was delicate and well made. All good... but not quite enough. Three items plus a single beer totaled nearly $80. For that price, I expect either a more substantial meal or a menu with enough variety to build one. I get that Buckhead rent isn't cheap, but guests should leave feeling satisfied, not like they just had tapas for dinner. So was it good? Sure. Was it worth it? Not really. Not the place for you if you have kids. Food was mediocre at best and the service was subpar. All of that would've warranted a 2 star from me, but ambiance was a huge disappointment. We were a party of 5 adults and six kids ranging from 1 to 10. First they put a drink very close to my 1 year old and spilled it and took a while to clean it up. I had to move my toddler away so she wouldn't touch the spilled alcohol. Our kids were excitedly talking as kids do, but at one point, some patron patronizingly stuck her face among our kids and shushed them very loudly and they got a bit scared. I said to her that if she thought our kids were loud, she could tell us and we would quiet them down. She got in my face like three inches away and started rambling about how she was a teacher and it didn't seem like we knew how to control our kids. She was clearly not sober and getting belligerent. I repeatedly told her to go back to her seat and don't try to discipline our kids again. She finally took her seat but I have never experienced anything like that at what's supposedly to be a nice restaurant. Service was also slow and the restaurant was half empty. The kids' food came out first and my son's pasta was barely cooked and very hard. And then they also forgot one of the meals; so, one of the kids just sat there for 30 mins without any food; waiting. Her food eventually came out after we asked our server multiple times to get her food. Our apps came out and we finished them and were just waiting on our entrees and we just kept on waiting. I had to change my 1 year old and there was no changing area for her and asked the manager if there was somewhere to change her. He first pointed to a very small and wobbly table, and I said no bc it didn't look safe to change her there. He did go in the back and bring out a push cart that I was able to change her on. I asked him if they weren't very kid friendly. Response was we don't get a lot of kids, but we try to cater to all ages. I told him about the episode with the belligerent patron and he said sorry that happened. We got back to our table and our entrees (burgers, which are the fastest things to make) still hadn't arrived even though we ordered an hour ago. We asked our servers and her response was that she had to clear our app plates before she can bring our entrees. Our app plates had long been empty and just sitting there. We told her to clear the table and get our entrees out. At that point, she told us that she had to put in our order. We waited a bit more and the kids were all done with their food for a while and started to get restless. I asked the server to get our burgers to go and her response was I didn't know you were in a rush. I didn't know expecting to get your entrees over an hour after you order means you're in a rush. The manager did come over and say to me that he hopes that we would return even though it wasn't the best experience and handed our burgers to go. They did take off the spilled drink and the delayed kid meal. Some of the burgers were dry and one of them severely undercooked. Suffice to say, I won't g back. read more

The ambiance gets a 10/10 as soon as you walk in. The lighting had a good balance of not being too dark but not obnoxiously bright either. Really sets the tone for a nice evening. What really set the tone was my server Leonardo. So now for dinner, I ordered the 14 oz NY strip, I was going to order it with frites , but Leonardo suggested to pair it with the Patatas Bravas, and what a good recommendation that was. At this point I was beyond full, I had asked for a to-go container because I "thought" I was done....until..... Leonardo recommended a dessert that had Italian rainbow cookies. Me who sat there with my stomach about to pop, said YES, I will have that. A cappuccino too? Sure! As full as I was the dessert did not disappoint! It was called a "Pots de Créme" it was a chocolate mousse with cocoa nibs and the cookies on top. Beautiful restaurant behind Phipps Plaza. We sat at the bar for a nightcap after dinner at another restaurant and I'm so glad that we decided to stop here. It was conveniently located next to our hotel. I tried the Dreams of Amalfi cocktail and it was perfect. It was a busy night for the bartenders but they made sure to check in with the bar patrons frequently. This was my second time going to Ecco, and it did not disappoint. I went for a date night with my fiancé on a Sunday night. We made a reservation for 6:30 and were promptly seated as soon as we came in. For food, we got two appetizers, and each got our own main course. We started with some bread for the table, nothing special here really. Just your standard toasted bread with olive oil. For starters, we got the fried goat cheese and the yellowfin tuna. The goat cheese is HEAVENLY. It's so creamy inside, but has a nice subtle crisp on the outside. You have to get these. The yellowfin tuna was good, but not great. It didn't come with too much tuna, and it was paired with some thin pieces of apple, which in my opinion, didn't go too well together. For the mains, I got the Pappardelle, and my fiancé got the Blue Crab Casarecce. My Pappardelle was really good. It was a lamb based dish, so it had some decent pieces of shredded lamb in there. Lamb is my favorite meat, so I had to get this dish. I tried the Blue Crab dish, but it was just too fishy for me. I am not a fan of seafood in pasta, so I did not like it. My fiancé enjoyed it, but she also said it was very crabby, in the sense, that the crab just over-powered the entire dish. For drinks, we both got a glass of Prosecco and then each got our own individual drink. She got the Dreams of Amalfi and I got the Pink Panther. My drink was a tequila based drink, and it was good. Nothing too special there. Her drink was very strong. It had vodka and limoncello in it, so definitely very strong. I don't recommend it. Ecco has a nice ambience to it. It's dimly lit, so it can be quite intimate. We went on a Sunday night, so it wasn't too busy. The time I had gone before, it was on a Friday night, and it was quite loud. But that happens when it's Friday night. The service was a little slow, which I was quite confused with, since it was a Sunday. But our server was really nice. He was knowledgeable about the menu as well. The food is not expensive, but it's not cheap either. Somewhere kind of right in the middle. I would definitely come back here and I do recommend Ecco to anyone in the mood for an Italian date night kind of vibe. read more

My friend and I came here for happy hour (4-6pm) and had the best time! They have a great assortment of appetizers (that were delicious) as well as drinks. We did go a little earlier so the place was pretty empty but I imagine that it gets pretty busy closer to dinner time. Currently, there is a lot of construction around the restaurant. We parked in the Phipps Plaza parking lot in front of Nordstrom and walked over - there was a little walkway/bridge which was super convenient. read more

Parking- There was valet right at the front of the establishment who was very friendly. Cost is $3. Car was promptly brought around when I was ready to leave. Honestly I was sold when we entered because it smelled soooo good - the kitchen was open and you could smell and see all of the food being cooked. Our waitress gave good recs and we ended up with one of the flatbreads, pappardelle, and a side of fingerling potatoes and brussels sprouts to share. If I could eat their Brussels sprouts everyday, I definitely would! The pasta was also really good and definitely a must have. As "things happen", I actually ended up changing our reservation on the day of like three times, smh, as our day was not working out as it should The young lady at the desk was so patient, I was excited to meet her in person once we (finally) arrived and her smile was just as welcoming as her voice on the phone. We were quickly seated in the bustling restaurant, and what an interior! Ecco is luxe in decor and perfect for a special night out. We started with drinks and the Fried Goat Cheese. What a portion! If you're a TRUE lover of Goat Cheese, it's definitely worth a try! My boyfriend thought they were too rich but that's what I expect of Goat Cheese lol the honey was a great sweet kick as well, but after about 3 of them, I was stuffed lol. For dinner, we were both immediately drawn to the Lemon Bucatini Scampi and listen. WOW. Upon first look, the portion doesn't seem like much but baby. It is. The meal is so rich and flavorful, phew! I have been going to the original Ecco Midtown location for years so you know your girl had to check out the Buckhead location to see how it compares. The décor at this location is very bright and the space seems more inviting than at the Midtown location. There is also an outdoor patio seating area off the main dining area that is separated by garage-like doors. Ordered the Fried Goat Cheese as an appetizer and the Grilled Half Chicken, Braised Pork Pappardelle, and Pommes Frites for the main course. I ordered a cocktail to drink and although I can't recall the name, I do recall it was good. The fried goat cheese was good and as consistent as it is at the original location, the chicken was very tender and delicious, and the pasta tasted fresh and homemade. The pommes frites were a bit too overcooked for my liking so that was not my favorite. I also ordered the Bee Sting cake for dessert and it was light with fresh cut peaches that were slightly tart and complimented the sweetness. This place is everything all the reviews say! From the decor to the food to the service , everything was top notch. I hosted a work event here and everything came out perfect . They have a private room that is separated from the main dinning area by a curtain - honestly couldn't tell the difference even if there was an actual wall there - sound wise I could hear everyone in our group and the main dinning area noise was not a problem for us. They also have A/V which was crucial to my event . For food I was told they are known for their fried goat cheese and wow those were amazing ! For my entree I had their wood grilled ribeye and had a side of Brussel sprouts - yum !! For dessert we had the lemon tart , so delicious. We had a company dinner at Ecco and couldn't have been more pleased. We were seated in their private patio area which was more than accommodating for our group of 16. It was a beautiful setting with a fireplace just outside of us. The patio was enclosed, as it is January, but climate controlled and comfortable. I imagine during a spring night it would be even a better experience. Our server, Tiera, took care of our party in a warm and kind manner. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! The Hamachi appetizer and the NY steak were delicious. I look forward to my next visit to Buckhead and coming back to Ecco. read more

I was at Ecco last Saturday night and it was an experience. My date didn't realized he needed to make reservation but we were still seated, so definitely kudos to the staff for being accommodating. The ambiance is dark, low light, somewhat romantic. It's a vibe and good for date nights. We asked our server for his recommendations and after looking through the menu, we decided on getting all appetizers to try. Here's what we ordered: -Blue Crab Montadito -Fried goat cheese -Stuffed piquillo peppers -Yellowfin Tuna Crudo -Golden Beets & Kale Desserts: -Hazelnut cake -Dark chocolate gelato My favorites were definitely the stuffed piquillo peppers, fried goat cheese (extra honey please), and Yellowfin Tuna Crudo. I wasn't a fan of the Blue Crab Montadio because there were some sort of sour pickle relish on top and I'm not a pickle anything kind of gal. Definitely passed on that dish next time. The Fried goat cheese balls were really good, I like the fried thin layered of dough with honey drizzled on top. The cheese was abit strong so I gave my date most of the cheese. I wonder if I can get less cheese next time lol. The stuffed piquillo peppers were beef protein but since it's like pulled beef, it was very tender and so this was my favorite of the night. Yellowfin Tuna Crudo was ahi tuna with thinly shaved apple slices on top, with a somewhat tart dressing that made this dish very refreshing. For the desserts, the hazelnut cake had a nice mocha frosting inside so that was really good. But my favorite would have to be my date's dark chocolate gelato. I'm still thinking about it.
