Had such a delicious impromptu brunch. The crab cake is always so perfect and the wine offerings bring me joy. It's all so perfectly curated. I recommend just trying anything on the menu, they haven't let me down. The service is attentive without being too attentive, and the ambiance is small, streetside cafe. Very cute.
On the search for a Sunday brunch spot we ended up at Bread and Butterfly. Extremely crowded but the host was kind and patient. Amazing potato's so crispy and fresh but I was not a huge fan of the salmon toast. I loved the jamaican mule and music selection. Great aesthetics for pictures but not really made for large parties or hearty breakfast.
What a cute little restaurant. More of a bakery than anything. A few friends and I went to this restaurant to catch up and it was perfect. The wait was pretty long to get seated even with us having a reservation so that was upsetting. In terms of the food, this is not a place with your typical brunch menu which was refreshing. I ordered the pancake which received rave reviews and I'll agree. The pancake was fluffy, dense and served warm. For my protein I ordered prosciutto fried and thoroughly enjoyed it. Great restaurant for a quick yummy meal before walking the belt line.
Is it me or is this place too hyped up? I mean yeah it's cute inside and the service is decent, but for me, it's just okay. Like it's not a place I could come back to for the food; but I could definitely come back for the coffee . That oat milk rosemary latte? Whew. So freakin good. And I would've never thought to add Rosemary syrup to my latte as my sweetener but let it be known that as soon as I got home, I made my own batch. For food, I had the shrimp n grits and like it said, it was just okay. 3 out of 5. It wasn't nasty but nothing that had me craving more or raving about. It was just average and the presentation lacked for me. My friend told me the biscuits were a popular item so I did order one and our server said it takes 25 minutes to prep and bake. The food definitely came from the biscuit fyi. And even the biscuit for me was just okay. Flaky for sure and a big portion for six bucks but I thought it was a bit dry. I did order a capparelli spritz after our meal which is their version of an aperol spritz. Presentation was beautiful; wouldn't order again. A little too bitter for me. There's parking in the garage that's attached to the cafe. $9 bucks and card only. Also they don't take reservations so it's first come first served and when they call your name, you're only given a 5 minute window. Yeah they are that strict. Our server was meh. Young guy. Didn't check on us and I felt a bit rushed. That's one of the things I hate about American dining. I think some of these servers today forget that dining is supposed to be an experience. The bartender service was better. I'd be open to coming back to try a different food item and definitely for the latte.
I got such a good vibe from this place the moment I walked in. Ambiance is super cute, very intimate. There is outdoor seating, but we chose to sit inside. Our server was great, and very personable. It was my first time there, so she was helpful on guiding me on my choices. To kick off our brunch we ordered the Martinique Mimosa, and the Summer Jam for our drinks and the toasted baguette with jam as our started. The seasonal jam/ burrata plus that warm bread? Already off to a great start! For our entrée's we ordered the Avocado Toast and the B&B Giant Pancake. My friend really liked her avocado toast, but that pancake? WOW. I am rarely in the mood for pancakes when I brunch, because not everyone makes them how I like. But this pancake was PERFECT. It was so soft and fluffy I could've just wrapped myself in it. And since it is so big in size, it's large enough to save for later or the next day. Overall it was a delightful and satisfying experience. Now their dinner menu?! Left me intrigued so I will be back for a review on their dinner options.

I truly enjoyed my breakfast date here! The French omelette was perfect and the fruit salad was nothing like I expected! It was fresh watermelon and peaches with olive oil, mint, and crispy prosciutto, omg it was so perfect! I can't wait to come back for dinner!
This is such a cute brunch spot in Inman Park! There was a short wait on Saturday morning to eat inside, but it was worth the wait because the inside of the cafe was really charming. It resembled a European cafe, with a lot of natural lighting coming in. I really enjoyed the service, as our waiter was very attentive and nice. My friend and I each got a salmon toast and we also got a pancake to share. The salmon toast was very pretty and delicious. I also really liked the pancake, and it was very big! They were not kidding when they said giant. I would love to come here again for brunch or try their dinner menu sometime.
Me and my wife came to Bread & Butterfly (B&B) to start our day. I had never really heard about this place, until I searched for somewhere on the beltline that has good brunch-esque food. I came across B&B and loved the menu. It's a Parisian type bistro with a pretty decent sized menu, so you should definitely be able to find something you will enjoy. I got the Croque Monsieur, my wife got the Salmon Toast (w/o the egg), and we shared the crispy potatoes. All our food was really good. The portions were perfect for the both of us, and we ate everything. The potatoes were nice and crispy and had this really good aioli sauce that paired with it. My croque monsieur was really good too. Sooooo nice and cheesy. My wife also loved her salmon toast. It comes with a poached egg, but my wife got it w/o, as she refrains from eating too much dairy. I also got an iced coffee with some brown sugar syrup. You get 1 free refill with the iced coffees, which was nice. They have 6 flavored syrups to choose from too. My wife got a glass of champagne. The service was excellent here too. We were able to get a table super quickly and didn't have to wait at all. We were constantly being checked on throughout out entire time there, which was really nice. You can make reservations, but we just did a walk-in. Bread & Butterfly is located in the Inman Park neighborhood near all those restaurants. We Ubered here, so I am not too sure about parking. I do believe there is a lot further down, and there is definitely street parking. It's a really nice vibe here and the atmosphere is really fun. It's casual but can still feel nice and fancy at times too. I would definitely come back here again.
B&B is a charming place that offers excellent costumer service, great ambience and delicious food. I've visited a couple of times and I'll always recommend it to people. I think the menu offers something for different tastes. Today I treated myself with their delicious pancake and a very tasty cafe au lait
Amazing!! This place has been on my to-try list since college. I finally got to visit 2 years after graduating haha! We were able to get seated immediately around 1 pm as a group of 5 walk-in (they don't take reservations unless for large parties of 7). They have bag holders for your purse which is extremely thoughtful. They were also super accommodating because we originally said 4 people, but we had a surprise friend join. The waitress was extremely sweet as well! My friend and I shared the tomato toast and giant pancake. Both were delicious, but the tomato toast was my favorite. Everyone liked their food & everything was excellently priced.
Food was so mid. Service was great (Murphy). Drinks were ok. But again, food had no seasoning and the steak was flavorless and didn't taste too fresh.
Amazing breakfast joint that has the perfect french cafe vibe. food ordered included- butter croissant- honestly maybe i havent had a croissant in a hit minute but this was the best ive ever had, 12/10 Crispy potatoes- 10/10 cruncy outside soft inside wonderful seasoning. the aioli they pair with it is top notch and thr flavor combo is lovely B+B pancake- 10/10 my dad says he loved it and ate the whole thing, It really is huge!! iced Vanilla cappuccino- 12/10 im so picky with my coffee and i got one to go aswell because i loved it so much. * Our server dylan was so kind and attentive, it seems like he really enjoys his job. Thank you for the wonderful breakfast
Great brunch spot. Wish they took reservations but it was only 20 min on a Saturday morning and there's plenty to walk around and see in the area while you wait. Everyone was super nice. Service was solid. Had the pancake which is solid, nothing over the top or too froofroo which I appreciated. Love a nice solid pancake. The salmon toast was also something that exceeded my expectations. Ambiance is nice. A cute little joint. Bloody Marys were also solid, although could use a bit more kick. I always get turned off when a place includes gratuity of 22% empirically. Not that it's not warranted it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Overall worth a visit and a return. read more
I came in for a late lunch after my flight landed and I needed to kill some time. This place was super cute and caught my eye, so I decided to come in for a bite and a drink. The lavender latte was delicious and I absolutely loved the quiche and beets. I actually finished my whole meal, which doesn't always happen. The espresso martini was *chefs kiss* Staff were all great, and since it was quiet and a weird hour, almost everyone came over and checked on me at some point. Very nice and I appreciated being doted on. The restaurant itself is again, super cute, and I loved the pretty decor. read more
Asked a few friends for recommendations for the best pancakes in Atlanta and this was one of the places suggested. I looked at the menu before I planned to go so I already knew what I wanted to order. When I arrived I was greeted promptly. I decided to sit at the bar as I was by myself. My server/bartender was Sherry. I ordered an iced brown sugar oat milk latte it was ok nothing special about it. When I went to order I was informed that they were out of steak and eggs which was a bummer but sherry suggested a few things. I ended up with: Pancake- huge! But had great flavor. Charging for extra syrup when you give me a pancake bigger than the plate is a little crazy to me. The flaky salt on top was a nice touch Eggs scrambled- no issues cooked perfectly Potatoes- well seasoned the rosemary paired well with the garlic aioli. I would give this place another try to try the steak and eggs. read more

Yayyyyy to having an amazing brunch experience in ATL. We were so hungry and needed something to eat before heading to our friend's birthday party but every brunch spot was so chaotic. A quick google search landed me on Bread & Butterfly. I called to see if they had any availability and the owner told me it'd be a 30 min wait. We immediately sped there which took us 12 mins and lucky for us, the same owner was at the host stand, recognized my voice, and sat us at the bar within five minutes. Everything was 5 stars! To start, I got a mock-tail, which was so refreshing. Then for food, I got the omelette (no cheese) and a pancake for us to share. The portions were just enough and the prices were also decent. The best part was the service from both the bartender and the owner. He came over to chat with us about our trip, which I thought was so kind. B&B was an amazing experience. Bread and Butterfly has been on my brunch list for the longest time and I'm so glad I finally had the chance to go! We waited around half an hour and got seated inside. We ordered their signature giant pancake, salmon toast, fried potatoes, and the server recommended the burrata and a side of bread. Honestly one of the best pancakes I've ever had, and I was so happy with the assortment we ordered. Service was great, interior was super cute, and am definitely coming again! read more

Brunch at Bread & Butterfly comes with one small catch--you can't make reservations. But trust me, the food is absolutely worth the wait. I recommend stopping by, putting your name on the list, and taking a stroll along the Beltline to pass the time. Service was a bit slow--our server seemed overwhelmed--but he was such a sweetheart that it was hard to be upset. Now, onto the food: * Patatas Bravas - Perfectly crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. * Pancake - Huge. It can easily be split between two, maybe even three people depending on appetites. Golden, buttery, with just a hint of salt--perfection. * Steak & Eggs - The true showstopper. The steak was cooked perfectly medium-rare and packed with flavor. * Biscuit - A nice touch, though we were so full we could only manage half! If you're in the area and don't mind a little wait, this spot is a must-visit. read more

We came here for brunch on a Monday (long weekend). We waited for around 20 mins for a table for two and got a seat outside since we had our dog with us. The waiter was really nice, she checked in with us, answered any questions we had on the menu, and also gave our dog some water! The restaurant had a cute Parisian vibe and the food was presented really nicely on the plate! The portion of the food is on the smaller side, so make sure to order more items so you can try different dishes and be more full! The crispy fried potatoes were my favorite despite it being the side, the texture itself was amazing, definitely order it! Their biscuits were also delicious, it takes a bit longer to come since I believe it's made in house. I would definitely come back with my friends or during dinner to try their dinner menu. read more
Ended up meeting up with my cousin for a late birthday celebration. I had never been to bread and butterfly, but I saw the menu after seeing the Chef was going to be at Atlanta Food Wine Festival, and I was very much so intrigued. As I hate an American and I do try to give the Caribbean restaurants some love when I can, and I was very much so intrigued by the menu. We decided to try the entire PT or small plates menu which came to about $85 before tips not including drinks and I'm glad that we did it that way. The food was really good. Obviously, it's not your typical Haitian cuisine. They were little things here and there that I had opinions on but overall I definitely think coming in and trying the entire PC menu gives you good options. It was enough for two people. We took the beef patty home. We didn't even try that at the restaurant. I think we ate that the next day, we also took the plantain beignets home, which in our honesty we kind of forgot in the fridge, but I would say try it in the restaurant. I feel like that has potential. I would definitely come back to get something on the large plates menu. The music was great definitely nostalgic. I was hearing like their 1804 playlist. I was definitely hearing some classics some songs that I've never heard of. It was nice hearing Haitian music being played in an establishment that as nice as this one. The service was great, our waitress and everyone that we spoke to were very kind knowledgeable definitely helped to point us in directions with cocktails and drinks. I immediately told my cousins about this place and the dinner service which apparently has been going on for maybe two years now if I'm not mistaken. Overall, four stars. read more

Bread and Butterfly was a walk-in and for 5 people, I waited around an hour. I got the eggs Benedict and they weren't super runny, overall a good breakfast but nothing to write home about. the service was excellent and they were all nice and we were outside enjoying the nice breeze. I did get a lavender latte and that was divine, not too overwhelming and a great yummy sip! read more

Service was great and the atmosphere was a great brunch vibe. They have outdoor seating available and a seating area with large windows and plenty of sunlight. The food and coffee were good. I highly recommend the cinnamon sugar croissant. It's buttery, flaky, and served warm. read more
It was all right, but I expected better. I had the French omelette and a side of salmon and was quite underwhelmed. I had heard such great things from everyone that lives in the area about this place so I had very high expectations. Unfortunately, the omelette was very underwhelming. It was borderline tasteless and needed something extra. Others at our table felt the same about their meals, but we would definitely come back to try some different items as the service was great and the ambience of the place was very nice. Our server was awesome and he really made the experience a lot better. I must say, though the woman at the host stand was not the friendliest. I would definitely come back to try it again, but I'm not rushing in. read more
4 stars for the amazing croissants and nice service. Several items were communicated to the kitchen incorrectly - wrong kind of croissant was brought, egg was missing from sandwich - but they quickly amended and generously. Several of us at the table had eggs Benedict which was delicious. My husband had ham, lettuce, tomato and fried egg on focaccia. Iced lattes were ok, the glasses are too small to get the correct ratio of espresso to milk so they were pretty bitter and we had to ask for additional milk. Overall cute place! Spent about $100 for 4 people for brunch. read more

I can't believe I've never done a review for this place! Long story short I LOVE IT HERE!!! But I'm gonna give yall the long story too. Things you can't pass up in my opinion would be the espresso martini and those fresh baked pastries that are made daily. My go to when I order is the French omelet. Absolutely perfect every time just outstanding egg cookery and believe it or not it's hard for people to cook eggs. The lattes are delicious as well. Ohhh those potatoes during breakfast lunch hours and a must add on. Just perfect little crunchy yet soft potatoes of goodness. Service here is unmatched in Atlanta. And the atmosphere takes you out of the city life and allows you to breathe for a moment and just enjoy. If you haven't been and you're debating stop debating and head on over you won't regret it! read more

Bread & Butterfly is a lovely bistro style restaurant with quaint decor and delicious food. Depending on when you come, you may have to wait a bit but it's so worth it. During the day, they have all of the Parisian feels with croissants and other pastries, omelettes, cappuccino, and other things you'd find in many European cafés. Each time we've come for breakfast, I've had the French omelette with greens, pecorino and carrot top pesto. I'm very particular about my eggs, and the omelette is divine! My husband also loves the omelette as well as the quiche and the giant pancake. He loves "The Biscuit", which is made with duck fat, which he's made at home on many occasions. So, he was excited to see something similar on their menu... I love that it's a bit of an homage to the South and French cuisine. I've also had the Burger Americain, and it did not disappoint. Also, the 16-month prosciutto is a favorite! And the lattes too. We've been back again and again, and we'll be back some more. Haven't had the pleasure of enjoying the dinner menu with its blend of flavors representing the African diaspora and other cultures, but we've seen the menu and it's on our list! read more

This was my second time dining at this establishment. The service is always a 10/10. The food however is good but not great! Maybe I'm ordering the wrong things. I was definitely expecting more when I ordered avocado toast. I was a bit taken back at the lack of texture from the avocado spread. I was hoping it was fresh and not pre packaged my salad was FIRE! Bread & Butterfly Café was a wonderful experience. The avocado toast with sliced fresh avocado, perfectly poached eggs, and salad--paired with a side of salmon--was excellent. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Highly recommend! read more

Date of visit: 2.15.25 Easily a 10/10! Everything my sister and I ordered was absolutely delicious. We went for breakfast on a Saturday morning; I'd suggest arriving early b/c the line forms quickly and tables fill up fast! If you can, sit at the bar (fast and friendly service). I'd recommend the big ass pancake! It was my favorite of the items I ordered. We also split an order of crispy prosciutto and eggs. We also had dessert for breakfast: their brown butter chocolate chip cookies, which are served warm. Oh, and I had a latte to wash it all down lol. Again, everything was amazing. I'm looking forward to returning for dinner service soon! read more

I really enjoyed Bread and Butterfly! We came for brunch after a friend recommended it to me (she and her fiancé apparently come here almost every weekend for brunch so they obviously love it) and I'm glad we did! The food is well made and tastes great. My bf got the eggs Benedict and liked it, I thought I'd try the French countryside sandwich because it sounded different and interesting and ended up really enjoying that too! We got some potatoes to share and as expected they were good. I will say the portions aren't "American sized" which I didn't mind too much because I could stand to eat smaller (more appropriate?) portions haha, but while at some other brunch spots if you order something like the Eggs Benedict it might come with potatoes already, here you'll have to order (and pay) for them separately, which does make the meal more expensive. read more
Bread & Butterfly has been on my Atlanta bucket list for ages and while downtown one day, we decided to venture to Inman Park for a late lunch. We don't have a reservation and we had a pup in tow but we were seated on the heated covered patio so we were good to go. How cheesy is it for me to order a French 75 at a French restaurant? Too bad because it was delicious. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely perfection, not just taste but also super photogenic. From the hot and flakey tomato soup with puff pastry to the juicy burger americain, and even a simple buttered baguette with jam. The croque madame was just ok - pretty basic. But still hit the spot. I ordered a classic omelette that was wet and runny with nothing on the inside. The potatoes were over cooked and flavorless. The space is nicely decorated and the service is friendly but the food was not edible. read more

When I moved into the neighborhood, Bread + Butterfly quickly became my favorite restaurant. The only problem was that it was so difficult to get a table. B+B has changed hands. The new executive chef is Demetrius Brown and thanks to an event hosted by "Slow Food," we had a chance to meet the chef and taste a range of his cooking as well as the bar's best mixed drinks. What an evening! The standouts: 1. amazing crab cakes. They were light and super tasty. I'd love a plate f them for an appetizer. 2. Fabulous bao. The fried chicken in the bao were light and had a hint of some fabulous taste. Bao? Wow! 3. Lamb belly. I didn't even know that lamb belly was a thing. It is and you don't want to miss it. It was a taste explosion in my mouth. I can't wait to go back and order it as a main course. Chef Brown explained that B+B was always a French restaurant but that it will now focus Afro-French cuisine with dishes from Senegal, Haiti, and of course France. Chef has family roots in Trinidad, my favorite place in the Caribbean. Thanks Marian and Ben for inviting us to bread and Butterfly. We'll be back often. read more

Cute brunch spot with a glassed in porch with lots of natural light. I got the quiche and it was small but tasty and hit the spot as I only wanted a light bite. The service was very good as well. The only downside was it's quite pricey based on the amount you get. But glad I stopped in to meet a friend on the way to the airport. read more

How busy is the restaurant on a Friday morning in wintertime? Likely to have a wait?
Every time I have gone on a weekend, it has been busy, with a wait of 30 to 45 minutes. It may be less crowded on a Friday however.
Do I need reservations?
Hey. I've only been there for breakfast, brunch and late night. I didn't have a reservation and was ok. Short wait one time. You might need one for dinner or peak brunch hours.
Would this be a place to get coffee and a light breakfast alone? Just wondering if it is more of a sit down type restaurant or an order and sit place like Panera or a coffee shop.
Very much so! They have a little bar with a massive copper coffee machine behind the counter and fresh croissants and other yummy things to choose from!
