Asked a few friends for recommendations for the best pancakes in Atlanta and this was one of the places suggested. I looked at the menu before I planned to go so I already knew what I wanted to order. When I arrived I was greeted promptly. I decided to sit at the bar as I was by myself. My server/bartender was Sherry. I ordered an iced brown sugar oat milk latte it was ok nothing special about it. When I went to order I was informed that they were out of steak and eggs which was a bummer but sherry suggested a few things. I ended up with: Pancake- huge! But had great flavor. Charging for extra syrup when you give me a pancake bigger than the plate is a little crazy to me. The flaky salt on top was a nice touch Eggs scrambled- no issues cooked perfectly Potatoes- well seasoned the rosemary paired well with the garlic aioli. What a cute little restaurant. More of a bakery than anything. A few friends and I went to this restaurant to catch up and it was perfect. The wait was pretty long to get seated even with us having a reservation so that was upsetting. In terms of the food, this is not a place with your typical brunch menu which was refreshing. This is such a cute brunch spot in Inman Park! There was a short wait on Saturday morning to eat inside, but it was worth the wait because the inside of the cafe was really charming. It resembled a European cafe, with a lot of natural lighting coming in. I really enjoyed the service, as our waiter was very attentive and nice. My friend and I each got a salmon toast and we also got a pancake to share. The salmon toast was very pretty and delicious. I also really liked the pancake, and it was very big! Is it me or is this place too hyped up? I mean yeah it's cute inside and the service is decent, but for me, it's just okay. Like it's not a place I could come back to for the food; but I could definitely come back for the coffee . That oat milk rosemary latte? Whew. So freakin good. And I would've never thought to add Rosemary syrup to my latte as my sweetener but let it be known that as soon as I got home, I made my own batch. For food, I had the shrimp n grits and like it said, it was just okay. 3 out of 5. It wasn't nasty but nothing that had me craving more or raving about. It was just average and the presentation lacked for me. My friend told me the biscuits were a popular item so I did order one and our server said it takes 25 minutes to prep and bake. The food definitely came from the biscuit fyi. And even the biscuit for me was just okay. Flaky for sure and a big portion for six bucks but I thought it was a bit dry. I did order a capparelli spritz after our meal which is their version of an aperol spritz. Presentation was beautiful; wouldn't order again. A little too bitter for me. There's parking in the garage that's attached to the cafe. $9 bucks and card only. Also they don't take reservations so it's first come first served and when they call your name, you're only given a 5 minute window. Yeah they are that strict. Our server was meh. Young guy. Didn't check on us and I felt a bit rushed. That's one of the things I hate about American dining. I think some of these servers today forget that dining is supposed to be an experience. I got such a good vibe from this place the moment I walked in. Ambiance is super cute, very intimate. There is outdoor seating, but we chose to sit inside. Our server was great, and very personable. It was my first time there, so she was helpful on guiding me on my choices. To kick off our brunch we ordered the Martinique Mimosa, and the Summer Jam for our drinks and the toasted baguette with jam as our started. The seasonal jam/ burrata plus that warm bread? Already off to a great start! For our entrée's we ordered the Avocado Toast and the B&B Giant Pancake. My friend really liked her avocado toast, but that pancake? WOW. I am rarely in the mood for pancakes when I brunch, because not everyone makes them how I like. But this pancake was PERFECT. It was so soft and fluffy I could've just wrapped myself in it. Me and my wife came to Bread & Butterfly (B&B) to start our day. I had never really heard about this place, until I searched for somewhere on the beltline that has good brunch-esque food. I came across B&B and loved the menu. It's a Parisian type bistro with a pretty decent sized menu, so you should definitely be able to find something you will enjoy. I got the Croque Monsieur, my wife got the Salmon Toast (w/o the egg), and we shared the crispy potatoes. All our food was really good. The portions were perfect for the both of us, and we ate everything. The potatoes were nice and crispy and had this really good aioli sauce that paired with it. My croque monsieur was really good too. Sooooo nice and cheesy. My wife also loved her salmon toast. It comes with a poached egg, but my wife got it w/o, as she refrains from eating too much dairy. I also got an iced coffee with some brown sugar syrup. You get 1 free refill with the iced coffees, which was nice. They have 6 flavored syrups to choose from too. My wife got a glass of champagne. The service was excellent here too. We were able to get a table super quickly and didn't have to wait at all. We were constantly being checked on throughout out entire time there, which was really nice. You can make reservations, but we just did a walk-in. Bread & Butterfly is located in the Inman Park neighborhood near all those restaurants. We Ubered here, so I am not too sure about parking. I do believe there is a lot further down, and there is definitely street parking. It's a really nice vibe here and the atmosphere is really fun. We were able to get seated immediately around 1 pm as a group of 5 walk-in (they don't take reservations unless for large parties of 7). Yayyyyy to having an amazing brunch experience in ATL. We were so hungry and needed something to eat before heading to our friend's birthday party but every brunch spot was so chaotic. A quick google search landed me on Bread & Butterfly. I called to see if they had any availability and the owner told me it'd be a 30 min wait. We immediately sped there which took us 12 mins and lucky for us, the same owner was at the host stand, recognized my voice, and sat us at the bar within five minutes. Everything was 5 stars! To start, I got a mock-tail, which was so refreshing. Then for food, I got the omelette (no cheese) and a pancake for us to share. The portions were just enough and the prices were also decent. We came here for brunch on a Monday (long weekend). We waited for around 20 mins for a table for two and got a seat outside since we had our dog with us. The waiter was really nice, she checked in with us, answered any questions we had on the menu, and also gave our dog some water! The restaurant had a cute Parisian vibe and the food was presented really nicely on the plate! The portion of the food is on the smaller side, so make sure to order more items so you can try different dishes and be more full! Ended up meeting up with my cousin for a late birthday celebration. I had never been to bread and butterfly, but I saw the menu after seeing the Chef was going to be at Atlanta Food Wine Festival, and I was very much so intrigued. As I hate an American and I do try to give the Caribbean restaurants some love when I can, and I was very much so intrigued by the menu. We decided to try the entire PT or small plates menu which came to about $85 before tips not including drinks and I'm glad that we did it that way. The food was really good. Obviously, it's not your typical Haitian cuisine. They were little things here and there that I had opinions on but overall I definitely think coming in and trying the entire PC menu gives you good options. It was enough for two people. We took the beef patty home. We didn't even try that at the restaurant. I think we ate that the next day, we also took the plantain beignets home, which in our honesty we kind of forgot in the fridge, but I would say try it in the restaurant. I feel like that has potential. I would definitely come back to get something on the large plates menu. The music was great definitely nostalgic. I was hearing like their 1804 playlist. I was definitely hearing some classics some songs that I've never heard of. It was nice hearing Haitian music being played in an establishment that as nice as this one. The service was great, our waitress and everyone that we spoke to were very kind knowledgeable definitely helped to point us in directions with cocktails and drinks. Things you can't pass up in my opinion would be the espresso martini and those fresh baked pastries that are made daily. My go to when I order is the French omelet. Bread & Butterfly is a lovely bistro style restaurant with quaint decor and delicious food. Depending on when you come, you may have to wait a bit but it's so worth it. During the day, they have all of the Parisian feels with croissants and other pastries, omelettes, cappuccino, and other things you'd find in many European cafés. Each time we've come for breakfast, I've had the French omelette with greens, pecorino and carrot top pesto. I'm very particular about my eggs, and the omelette is divine! My husband also loves the omelette as well as the quiche and the giant pancake. He loves "The Biscuit", which is made with duck fat, which he's made at home on many occasions. So, he was excited to see something similar on their menu... I love that it's a bit of an homage to the South and French cuisine. I've also had the Burger Americain, and it did not disappoint. Also, the 16-month prosciutto is a favorite! And the lattes too. We've been back again and again, and we'll be back some more. We came for brunch after a friend recommended it to me (she and her fiancé apparently come here almost every weekend for brunch so they obviously love it) and I'm glad we did! The food is well made and tastes great. My bf got the eggs Benedict and liked it, I thought I'd try the French countryside sandwich because it sounded different and interesting and ended up really enjoying that too! We got some potatoes to share and as expected they were good. I will say the portions aren't "American sized" which I didn't mind too much because I could stand to eat smaller (more appropriate?) portions haha, but while at some other brunch spots if you order something like the Eggs Benedict it might come with potatoes already, here you'll have to order (and pay) for them separately, which does make the meal more expensive. read more

We started with two lavender lattes which were perfect and the burrata with grilled peaches. The server suggested the baguette to go with it and it was toasted perfectly with the right amount of butter. This burrata was the perfect start and was an experience for our taste buds. Bread & Butterfly has been on my Atlanta bucket list for ages and while downtown one day, we decided to venture to Inman Park for a late lunch. We don't have a reservation and we had a pup in tow but we were seated on the heated covered patio so we were good to go. How cheesy is it for me to order a French 75 at a French restaurant? Too bad because it was delicious. Every single thing we ordered was absolutely perfection, not just taste but also super photogenic. From the hot and flakey tomato soup with puff pastry to the juicy burger americain, and even a simple buttered baguette with jam. The croque madame was just ok - pretty basic. But still hit the spot. When I moved into the neighborhood, Bread + Butterfly quickly became my favorite restaurant. The only problem was that it was so difficult to get a table. B+B has changed hands. The new executive chef is Demetrius Brown and thanks to an event hosted by "Slow Food," we had a chance to meet the chef and taste a range of his cooking as well as the bar's best mixed drinks. What an evening! The standouts: 1. amazing crab cakes. They were light and super tasty. I'd love a plate f them for an appetizer. 2. Fabulous bao. The fried chicken in the bao were light and had a hint of some fabulous taste. Bao? Wow! 3. Lamb belly. I didn't even know that lamb belly was a thing. It is and you don't want to miss it. It was a taste explosion in my mouth. I can't wait to go back and order it as a main course. Chef Brown explained that B+B was always a French restaurant but that it will now focus Afro-French cuisine with dishes from Senegal, Haiti, and of course France.
