It had been a long time since we'd last eaten here, and the food and service didn't disappoint. We tried the fried whole red snapper, and it was absolutely delicious.

Valet parking is easy and located directly in front of the restaurant. Very quiet at 5:30pm. Beautiful decor inside and out! I absolutely love all of the seafood dishes here including the snapper! It's so flavorful! The drinks are also delicious as well.

Super nice restaurant and vibe! I went for lunch with a friend on my birthday. I enjoyed the lychee martini. It was nice and strong and one of the best I've had. I loved the garlic noodles and the shaking beef. The green beans were super flavorful. I was hoping for a little something special for my birthday other than just a sparkler but maybe that's all they give out for lunch. The service was great. I'll definitely be back!

Le Colonial remains one of my absolute go-to spots in Atlanta; I end up here three to four times a year and it never misses. It's easily a top-10 restaurant in the city, no debate. The French and Vietnamese fusion gives the menu a personality you don't find anywhere else, and every dish feels like it was crafted with intention. The service is consistently sharp, warm, and on point, which is a rare combo these days. The chicken and mushroom ravioli was the star for me this time. The flavors were ridiculously good, rich yet balanced, the kind of dish that makes you pause mid-conversation just to appreciate what's happening on your palate. The patio is always a win, cozy and inviting even on cooler nights. Inside, the décor nails that elevated, colonial-era charm without feeling stuffy. It's elegant in a way that sets the tone the moment you walk in. If you're looking for a place that delivers atmosphere, flavor, and service every single time, Le Colonial deserves to be on your shortlist. I'll keep coming back.

Located in Buckhead Village; Came here for a Friday afternoon lunch. I was coming from work, but please note that they have a dress code. No athletic wear. The sign is posted downstairs near the elevator entrance. Once you enter, they have a patio area and then you have to walk inside to check in. The patio area is a vibe, as the weather was nice. I was greeted by Tori, our waitress and she provided us with various menu options but thoroughly explained each dish. To drink, I order the Green Makrut Gimlet; I had 2. If you like gin, you will enjoy this. Also the lychee martini was chose and it was good. To start, we had the dumplings and the egg rolls. The dumplings, in fact, did not look appealing at first, but it was AMAZING!! I would have those again. The entrees we chose were the salmon and the beef and a side of garlic noodles. I have been wanting to try this place for a very long time; for brunch. I truly enjoyed lunch and will be back.

Le Colonial looks phenomenal! The ambience is amazing. The staff is neatly dressed and very professional. The food was okay. We had the chicken dumplings - very good, fried rice - good and beef stir fry(okay). I also had a really yummy mint colada mocktail. Lastly, the bathrooms were super clean and smelled good.

Great food, nice clean restaurant, decent service. The crowd there is just alittle conservative, ask to sit near the bar.

I came to Le Colonial last year and they had an amazing happy hour at the bar. I was very disappointed to find out it has since been removed.

I loved the ambiance here as it was upscale but relaxed at the same time! I came here for dinner with a large group so was lucky enough to try a bunch of different dishes as well as some wine/ cocktails. - Le Colonial Cocktail: light and refreshing. The fish design was pretty but was actually a sticky jelly substance which wasn't as fun when it hit my lip - Crispy Shrimp & Pork Roll: So delicious! I could've eaten all of them myself - Chilled Shrimp Roll: OK with the peanut sauce but I'd probably skip these if going back - Brussels Sprouts: Amazing! They're technically a side but were perfect as an appetizer as well! - Pam Seared Chicken Dumplings: Good as well! Had a nice flavor to them! - Seabass w/ La Vong: Good but not my favorite of the entrees. I'd rather have Seabass elsewhere - Shaking Beef: Favorite dish here and definitely a must order! - Fried Rice: Some of the best I've ever had! Delish! All in all, the ambiance was great as was the service and the food... I'll definitely go ahead at the location in houston! We had a great time!

Shrimp Stir-Fry

Le Colonial delivered on both flavor and atmosphere. We kicked things off with the Spicy Chicken Coconut Soup, which was rich, aromatic, and had just the right amount of heat--an ideal appetizer to warm things up. For entrées, the Spicy Chicken Stir Fry and Shrimp Stir Fry were both excellent. Fresh ingredients, bold flavors, and perfectly cooked proteins made each bite memorable. The balance of spice and savory was on point. The Sangria was a nice surprise--refreshing, not too sweet, and paired well with the food. The ambience on a Sunday afternoon was amazing--real chill, relaxed, and stylish without being over the top. It was the kind of vibe that makes you want to stay a little longer. Highly recommend for anyone looking for great food and a laid-back yet elevated dining experience. The service was really good and top notch.. Very friendly staff!

What an incredible experience at Le Colonial. The food was excellent, and every recommendation from our helpful waiter was spot on. The absolute standout was the ribs -- a true 10/10. I had to stop myself from ordering another round, especially since they were just the appetizer. The shaking beef, also recommended by our waiter, was a fantastic choice. I can't wait to go back and try the duck for dinner.

Yolanda W.

Thank you BK and the staff! Your service and attentiveness continues to make me feel at home when at the Le Colonial. I enjoy dining alone because I feel that I'm not alone. Happy Holidays

Ask the Community - Le Colonial - Atlanta

If I select Outdoor dining, as it's the only selection available for the date I'm looking at, given how cold it's been, would we be comfortable on the Outdoor patio? Is it heated/covered?

The outdoor dining area is covered and heated. It will be comfortable barring any strong winds.

What is the parking situation like?

There is an unground parking garage for retail parking, but it does fill up extremely quick so try to go early. There is some street parking but it is not reliable

Do they still have a dj in the lounge? If so, what days?

They do not. Music is played over the speakers via the sound system.

Can groups of 6 receive individual checks instead of just 1 check for the entire table?

They usually do only 1 check from the times I've been there. I believe you can put 2/3 cards down to split equally but they don't itemize it.

Is the food halal?

Unsure what the producers of their meat are. But you can ask them if it’s cornerstone beef ? But I highly doubt it is halal. I have yet to hear about it being halal.

Hi - Unfortunately, my server forgot to pack my green curry shrimp. This was for check 133571. Can you please advise?

Hi! I was your server. We kept your curry in the fridge just in case you came back for it! We've tried to contact you multiple times. Let me know if you still want it. Thanks!

Can I or your DJ play my single? I am Jewleyouse, a head strong rapper artist from Chicago, determined to leave an impact on the rap game.

Probably not, this is an upscale restaurant.

I have never been to a higher end French Restaurant that only offered three white wines by the glass. Pushing bottles perhaps? The only white that even sounded half way decent was a boring Chardonnay at $17 for a 4-5 ounce pour. Insanity. The room we were seated in was fine, drapery everywhere which I'm sure was used to create a cozy intimate atmosphere - but the result missed the mark. Our server was gracious and attentive to start, but then became a bit absent once more guests arrived. My husband started with the much touted onion soup. No French chef would incorporate such a mass of cheese and salt to this classic preparation. There was nothing epic or outstanding about it. (even after our server said something like "the NY Times said it was the best in the country.") Yeah, right. For the mains I went with the duck confit accompanied by potatoes sarladasies. The spuds, if correctly prepared, are supposed to be garlicky and crisp after being pan fried in duck or goose fat. Mine were limp and bland. I have no idea what was in their sauce verte - as it added nothing flavor wise, and sadly just soaked the potatoes. The duck was OK. Again, nothing memorable. My husband ordered the $34 burger after hearing the $70 plus price tag for the Dover Sole Meunière. Lunacy. I mean the beef patty was tasty, but nothing better than an old fashioned cook-out one grilled in your own backyard. The frites were just weird. We have been to France on several occasions and never encountered such a preparation. Would we ever go back? Nope.

However ... five of us made a reservation, for 5:30, our plan was to eat a celebratory birthday dinner ( two birthdays) then catch the sunset on the roof. We should've known there would be issues from the drink order: A vodka tonic order yielded a vodka soda even after she confirmed he wanted tonic, not soda. The other drinks came out at different times. We ordered bread and our salads and entrees. Then the server brought out a plate of deviled eggs " a gift from the chef!" How nice. They were good, we appreciated it. Our entrees were OK: Short ribs were rich and meaty, redfish was good but a bit overcooked and dried out, pork was OK, mussels were good, but the bread wasn't grillled and was slathered with almost inedibly salty garlic butter. The salads were meh. We had wine and water and asked for our checks so we could make sunset. She brought back one check for two couples and a single. We asked if she could split it. She came back a few minutes later, after we sent the birthday folks to the roof for sunset, she said we could "just throw a card down" for the combined check. We reminded her that we wanted to split the check. She completely forgot. Several minutes later, we go our checks. Those deviled eggs that were supposed to be a "a gift from the chef?" They were on one of the checks. Thanks so much for the gift. Anyway, we quickly paid and made it upstairs before the sun was below the horizon. The roof is awesome. But Tiny Lou's is a one and done. Not worth the price. Not special. Would rather just eat at home post-sunset.
