Great pit stop for a beer. Feels like a friendly, local crowd. Beer with a side of peanuts.

Wow!! Hands down the best pastries in Petaluma (and maybe further)…read more The selection of both sweet and savory options is out of this world. SO many croissant, muffins, bread, cake, and other pastries to choose from. You can never leave with just one (hence my order of 5 items) Coffee is also delish and the quality of all the food is top tier. Lovely customer service as well. Nice outdoor seating on a sunny day :)

They have specialty shelf stable chocolate and snacks and a display full of beautiful desserts! ** pistachio cream puff (4.5/5): unlike the more traditional choux shell, this one was laminated like croissant dough-- fun! The cream was also thick enough to not leak everywhere and didn't taste artificial. Really enjoy this one! ** strawberry and cream chiffon cake slice (3.5/5): didn't really feel like a chiffon cake or maybe it was on the drier side. It worked well with the mascarpone frosting though, which was smooth and a little too rich for me by itself. There wasn't too much strawberry besides the sweet jam layer in the middle. ** Brutta mi buoni (4/5): translated to "ugly but delicious," this craggly meringue actually caught my eye and curiosity for its looks. I'm usually not a fan of meringues, but this one was loaded with nuts and was tasty. Kind of tastes like a refined version of those Lucky Charms cereal marshallows in a good way! Happy with my little haul at Stellina Pronto! They were friendly and had a few window seats + outdoor seating. I'll probably stop by next time I'm in the area to try some new items. Definitely check them out if you're nearby!

Precise, well-designed, unfussy, harmonious, felt very Swedish…read more Wanting to keep that calm Sunday morning feeling yet needing to be alert for an all-day swim meet, we stopped for coffee nearby, almost directly across from Sonoma Valley High School. Småstad Coffee Roasters is a tidy shop with cafe tables inside and a large wood table on the terrace. They welcomed me warmly as soon as I stepped inside. I chose a large cardamom brown sugar latte and 2 small cardamom, lingonberry and black currant cakes ($4) that were dense but moist and surprisingly filling. Were they milk cakes? I should have asked. The latte was lightly sweet with a kiss of cardamom. I recommend this little shop tucked away off the main road. There's a private drive out front.

Last month AFTER a family group out of town visitors sleeping in my rumpus room on the pull out…read morecouch, get up and return the room to a nice orderly rumpus room. I was ready for them to vacate my home and get themselves back to the east coast to get everything ready for the Winter Holidays there. I had plans to go shopping in New York City. I dragged my cousin out of the rumpus room and we threw on our clothes and went out for coffee. Pure exhaustion caused every bone in my body to ache in tiredness. I needed peace and quiet and some liquid fuel. I needed liquid gold to inject into my veins. The liquid gold of choice is tar black thick sugary cup of coffee. However, I am a tea snob at times and tea steep from tea leaves that is so caffinated that it causes me to vomit due to its caffeine content so high, in fact higher than light roast coffee. I admit I am a tea snob and a coffee snob. Back to this coffee shop though is my intention after I thoroughly enjoyed its hot coffee with my cousin. We both were extremely into enjoying ourselves. The fresh roasted beans are particularly fresh. Fresh roasted beans make the best pot of coffee. I normally purchase on a pretty regular basis cofff from this coffee shop because of its focus on Swedish decor. I also can attest to the real tasty muffins and some of their other food selections. My words to you all tea snobs unite and all coffee snobs unit. All snobs of coffee and tea are united today and forever. Those who arrive 1st make sure to be very nice to employees so they continue returning to their jobs and making their customers feel valued. Remember the small business owner is an employee who worked themselves up in life to have enough money to open their dream business.

Right when I came in I just knew it was good and I got to ordering Parking is pretty open and convenient so it was easy to walk right over. I ordered on the kiosk which makes it easier and gives me more time to look at items. I kept it simple and got a strawberry lemonade which was very good and also in cute packaging. The interior of this place felt like I was in Dubai or something because of the gold and how fancy this place looks lol overall I love it and the music playing.

My new favorite go to coffee spot in Marin, especially if I am in downtown San Rafael…read more I tried two things I have never eaten before, and they both changed my world. I don't say that lightly. I'll start with Arabic light roast coffee that was a golden color and infused with cardamom. It was exactly what I was looking for that day. It tasted great, and it gave me to pick me up. I needed for the rest of the afternoon. I have never seen coffee that color. It was delightful. As for the fatayer, it is basically the Yemeni version of an empanada. I am very much a savory breakfast person, so this was a special treat. The spices were amazing, and it was cooked to perfection. This is one of the items you can see in the display case that they warm up for you on the spot. There were also many desserts and other food options. I should also note that I ordered on a large tablet display, which included several different drink, and food options. Honestly, the menu was a little bit overwhelming given the number of choices, but it also makes me think that there is so much more that I need to try next time. I needed to get some work done, so I sa myself down on the very comfortable couch, which conveniently contained a Wi-Fi password stuck to the edge of the adjacent table. It was very chill, and if I didn't have an appointment to get you I certainly could've stayed there all day. I am excited to try some other things on the menu and continue to support this local business.
