Dog wall - dog friendly cafe
Drea U.

This coffee spot is AMAZING! I came here for the first time last weekend and had such a good time. It's a great way to start a morning. I got the popular breakfast sando and it's by far one of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had in Sonoma county. I also ordered the el cubano americano and it was very flavorful! The service and ambiance is hard to beat. Miguel was very friendly and made my order quickly. The inside and outside of the shop has amazing views of the Marina. It's perfect for a breakfast date or just a relaxing place to wind down. Will be coming back!

Absolutely amazing service and coffee! I was looking for coffee as we were staying at the Sheraton nearby. The owner Miguel was such a friendly face, he welcomed us in immediately and offered us suggestions. He was even open on New Years Day! He allows dogs and took a picture of our puppy to put on his dog wall. I was so impressed by his shop that I had questions about myself opening up a shop in the future. He was even generous enough to give me a coffee tutorial and took the time to teach and chat with me. Absolutely amazing experience and would come back again!

Great place with the CUTEST outdoor seating area right in the harbor. I got an iced latte with whole milk and it was amazing. Highly recommend if you're looking for some place to relax.

Terrible s'mores mocha
Leah S.

After hearing about this location on FB, I found them on Instagram and thought they looked like something I would want to know more about. I was specifically intrigued by their seasonal lunches and the s'mores mocha. Getting to the location is a little weird- for some reason I thought they were located inside of the hotel but they're in a completely different building. Parking was ample and free and we were the only ones in the cafe the whole time we were there. The lady behind the counter greeted us and we asked some questions about the menu. After finding out that they were out of some things, I opted for the BLT and he opted for the breakfast sandwich. For drinks of course I ordered the s'mores mocha and he had a plain drip coffee. While we waited for things be made, we walked down the boardwalk and took in the sights (and smells) of the bay. It was windy but beautiful but unfortunately it was also full of flies so we ended up going back inside. Once back in the restaurant, the lady behind the counter had a long phone conversation that sounded very private and probably needed to be taken in her car or at a time where she was not with customers in a tiny Cafe. Our food arrived a while later since she was on her personal call for a long time. My BLT was very mediocre. The bread was dry, the lettuce and tomatoes tasted like water and there was nothing on the bread to redeem it other than the bacon. His breakfast sandwich was also very bland and very lackluster, he said it tasted premade and very bland. Unfortunately the drinks were no better. His coffee tasted burned and so did my s'mores mocha which looked nothing like what they posted on their Instagram. I only got down two sips before I threw in the towel the mess of that beverage. It's really a shame because this could be a really cute place to hang out and do some work and sip on a beverage- but the food was terrible and so were the drinks.... I really had high hopes but this was a pretty huge disappointment.

Ice Cubans with cold foam.

This local coffee shop is such a hidden gem! The iced Cubano is top tier. We felt welcomed the moment we walked in. The shop itself is super cute and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that makes it the perfect place to sit and enjoy your drink. They have both indoor and outdoor sitting. Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in Sonoma County.

Strawberry Matcha

As a non-coffee drinker, I was pleasantly surprised by how good this matcha strawberry foam drink was. I definitely recommend and the ambience was wonderful. Miguel, the barrista, was very charismatic and kind. He definitely made the experience worth while as well. If you are ever in the area, please visit!!! It's tucked around the corner so be weary.

I also had the breakfast sando which is local egg frittata with nice chunks of peas, corn, and other veggies.

I'm actually glad it's not closer to home, because I'd be here all the time. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the whole place has a great 1950s diner vibe with old photos, memorabilia, and music from that era. I had the eggs benedict both mornings, once with the house potatoes and once with the hash browns. Both potato sides were excellent. The house potatoes had crispy bits, creamy centers, and a dollop of sour cream, while the hash browns were crisp outside and soft inside. I swear I cannot make potatoes like that at home. The eggs benedict were also outstanding. Instead of a thin slice of ham or Canadian bacon, they used a real ham steak. I love eggs benedict, and these were some of the best I've had. My partner had the chicken fried chicken one morning and chicken and waffles the next, and loved both. He also shared a biscuit with me, which was very good. I was tempted by the biscuits and gravy on day two, but the eggs benedict were too good not to order again.

My boyfriend ordered biscuits and gravy with a side of bacon, and I ordered the crab cake bene. Both plates were huge! The biscuits were big and fluffy, and the side of bacon was generous, thick and crispy. The poached eggs on my bene were cooked perfectly and I liked the crab cakes, but they weren't the best I've had (I felt like there could've been a little more crab). Lastly, I don't normally go for sweet breakfasts, but the French toast passing by looked amazing! Service was friendly and quick, and the price point for the amount of food was very reasonable. This is a fun and cute little spot, and I'd definitely recommend!

What I ordered: The Sonoma County burrito for $19. You're given the choice between bacon, sausage or chorizo for your protein. I went with the sausage and for my side I got a fruit cup for an additional $3 instead of the breakfast potato's. Additionally, I ordered coffee which comes diner style for $4. They brought out milk and sugar and when they noticed our cups were empty they filled them up promptly. The coffee was nothing to write home about but it did the job. My husband and dad both ordered the steak and eggs which come with a side of toast and I know they had options but looking back it's not listed on the menu. My husband got the rye, my dad got the sourdough and his partner got the English muffin which looked fluffy, inviting and home made. Overall my burrito was okay, good flavors but a little underwhelming. It lacked protein and was not evenly distributed with the protein that there was. I do wish I went with another option for breakfast. If I were to come back, I'd try another offering. If I could give half stars I'd probably rate cafe mimosa a 3.5 but am rounding up to 4 for the fast and attentive service and will have to come back and try what they specialize in... mimosas and a different breakfast option.

The seasonal menu's offerings were ideal for a rainy April day, when their cassoulet, bocadillo and other cozy options provided the comfort food we were craving. I loved the colorful tables and tasteful decor. It was clearly a regular lunch destination for many of the diners. The bar was packed during the rush, around noon, as well as the other indoor seats. My lunch friend mentioned that the restaurant is owned and operated by a husband and wife team: Annette and Brian. The regulars were greeted with familiarity. It wasn't the kind of place where you're rushed for your order, nor is it a dine and dash location. The menu - both food and drink - has tantalizing options, so it's best to come back repeatedly. My Turkish Coffee arrived quickly after I ordered it, despite Annette being the only server on the floor. I enjoyed the Bocadillo too, especially the pickled vegetables that accompany the sandwich. For those complaining that the portions were small or that the prices were high, the quality of ingredients and depth of flavor are worth the cost and my portion was more than enough to satisfy my appetite, plus I left with the other half of my sandwich as an offering for my hungry twenty-something at home. We ordered a rice pudding for dessert and dug in before I was able to snap a picture! It was delicious though, with the poached blueberries and almonds offering an ideal balance of texture and flavor to earn this simple dessert my esteem. Next time I want to try the beet & sour cream cake though!
