The focaccia! Perfection. I could eat a loaf of this crusty olive oil-drizzled deliciousness. Every time I go I'm reminded that this place has the most high-quality ingredients of any sandwich place in Petaluma.

Do you love a sandwich? I really do especially with great bread and Stellina Alimentari has so many to choose from. I do have a current favorite 'The Bobby'- egg salad, olive tapenade, pickled onions on focaccia! Oh my it's so yummy! The entire store makes me feel like I should have one bottle of perfect olive oil and some sun-dried tomatoes and I'll make amazing Italian dishes! It feels really good inside and you can eat in or take food to go. It's not just sandwiches they have salads and risotto cakes etc. Love this place!

My sandwich tasted incredibly fresh! I added the roasted eggplant to the carmine and it made my day!!

Really enjoyed the sandwiches, even though they were expensive. There's not much seating. The space is packed with cheeses, imported pastas and olives, a beverage case, and bottles of vino There's maybe room for 10 people to dine at small bistro tables and a counter in the window. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The sandwiches were very good. They come on house made focaccia bread, which is light and airy, salty and olive oiley, but still with a delicate crust. My favorite was the Il Paesano which had sopresetta, cheve, caper berries, and a tangy red pepper marinated situation that comes together beautifully on that bread. The Marcella was also quite good, but my wife and I agreed that it really could have used some lemon zest to balance out the creaminess. Also on the particular specimen we received, the distribution of the ingredients was not even. You really need all the things in each bite for the sandwich to work, but when you pay $16 and you get bites without pistachio creme, it's kind of a let down. All the ingredients were high quality and delicious. Parking can be difficult depending on the time of day. Recommend ordering ahead for pick up. Will definitely return and hope that the next sandwich is prepared well.

Gourmet Italian deli/cafe in Petaluma! Yes, please! Recently went in with a friend for a late lunch. I had and loved an A'Siciliana Limonata to drink (a sweet treat that brought me back to Italy) and to eat: The American sandwich -smoked turkey, bacon, provolone, calabrian aioli, pesto, and romain - $16 My friend had an iced latte and the daily special, a chicken gyro, and also loved both! The ingredients are fresh and delicious. They offer a curated menu of sandwiches, salads/side, snacks (think charcuterie board, bruschetta...), and a few sweets (hello cannoli and zeppole!). The setting is bright and inviting: order counter and display case straight ahead, cold drinks to the right, a few small two-top dining tables (maybe 5 of them) along the back right wall, a few bar seats in the window, and marketplace items available throughout (think pasta, sauce, wines, cheeses, imported Italian treats...). Look forward to many more visits!

    The highlight of my meal!

Second time stopping by Stellina Alimentari. Nice casual vibe to the place and friendly staff. But most importantly great food highlighting great ingredients. The charcuterie board was excellent loved adding the fresh thyme to the bites, the meats were cut thin so they almost melt in your mouth. The sandwich was great however the bread was better the first time we came. I wish there was just a slight crunch to the bread. There were also a few pieces of the arugula that were from the stem of the plant. Those pieces were inedible and off putting. Seems like an easy fix. Now let's talk about the Cookie I saw it right before checking out and added it to the order and I'm happy I did! This cookie will haunt my dreams it was pure perfection the new standard two which every cookie will now have to live up to (in my head) I highly recommend the cookie if you go to stellina's

Very delicious sandwiches. The meat is sliced so thinly it practically melts in your mouth. The people were nice. The inside is really cute. The only negative thing I have to say is we got charged 10$ for a bag of chips which is just insane but the sandwich made up for it. The beet salad was also very good

I've been to this particular sandwich shop a handful of ties. I truly love their bakery around the corner!! This particular day I bought a slice of the gluten-free pistachio cake at the bakery, and then walked the block over and came to get a sandwich with a lovely glass of white wine. Lunch: 6. The Americano without bacon and : Aia Del Colombia Fallanghia Del Sannio white wine. (See pix) The cashier was very polite and friendly and informed me the only hot sandwich was a pork based one which sadly I'm allergic to, but she said the Americano was also also very popular so I got that one on her recommendation. The white wine had a incredibly long name and she said it's so eloquently, I didn't dare repeat it. Lol but for$11 a glass it was adequate. I think the white should've been a bit colder though, granted I waited to sip the wine with my sandwich, so my glass might've been adjusting to the room temperature. Hee. The lobby area is quite spacious and homey feeling. I loved the lighting and decided to sit at the window stool for a candied pix opt. Hee

Very clean and well staffed Italian deli serving deliciuous authentic Italian sandos and other foods, wines and condiments to ramp up your collection of goodies. You can see a few pics of my favorite sandos and don't forget the unforgettable chocolate chip cookie baked by their sister bakery Stellina Pronto. Mangia my friends

Really enjoy this one! ** strawberry and cream chiffon cake slice (3.5/5): didn't really feel like a chiffon cake or maybe it was on the drier side. It worked well with the mascarpone frosting though, which was smooth and a little too rich for me by itself. There wasn't too much strawberry besides the sweet jam layer in the middle. ** Brutta mi buoni (4/5): translated to "ugly but delicious," this craggly meringue actually caught my eye and curiosity for its looks. The experience was a bit strange from the start and the two people working (one at the register and one behind the deli counter) were both pretty aloof. The individual working the register was too busy engaged in what I can only assume was a very engaging conversation with another customer and the one behind the deli was MIA for almost 10 minutes while I waited awkwardly, unsure if the deli was even open. When someone finally came to the deli counter, I decided to order, pay, and get out of there as quickly as possible. I ordered a reuben sandwich, grabbed a beer, and paid. Then I was prompted to leave a tip - I was a bit shocked by this that I didn't even know what to do. I instinctually hit 20% and it wasn't until I was in the car that I realized I just tipped on a can of beer I grabbed out of the fridge and for a sandwich that I waited 10 minutes for, just to place the order.. lol. All other things aside, the sandwich was okay. A pretty good reuben, but far from the best. The bread was super thin and not well toasted so it became really soggy. Soggy reubens are the worst. We've all had one before - the bread just disintegrated and it just started to fall apart. Overall, the sandwich was okay but there are far better places in town to grab a sandwich that will at least pretend they are happy you stopped by, and won't ask you for a tip for the privilege of doing so.
