    Brunch Grain Bowl, Luchette
    Camille G.

This place has quickly become one of my favorite spots in Petaluma. From my grain bowl to salads to their brownies- it's all good and makes healthy taste delicious ! My go to is their brunch bowl and would love to learn how to make some of these myself as I like them so so much. I stand behind what Lunchette represents and believe their prices reflect the quality and sustainability of your meal. The people working there are always on top of service and nice. It's a really well run lunch spot! I look forward to lots more meals here and hopefully teaching myself to cook a little more like this! They have some chairs and tables outside to eat.

    Biodegradable container.

Pretentious menu with almost nothing I would want to order. The tiny pizza slice for $4.00 slice was a total ripoff.

There was the host who seated us and one waiter working the front of the house. The host gave us menus and explained that they were out of the Parker House rolls and one of the beef entrees which was replaced with lamb shanks. when asked about the soup de jour, I was told they only had 2 bowls left. They did, however , offer beef Wellington which was not on the menu. We waited 15-20 minutes for the waiter to take our order. we had not been asked about beverages or starters either. In a word, the service was very slow. that being said, our waiter was congenial. And all the food we ordered was delicious. we ordered the house fried potatoes for a starter. They were delicious but the serving was pretty small. What seemed odd to us was that the potatoes that were served as a side with the hamburgers were not the same as what was served as the starter. The starter was clearly made from fresh cut porates and were well seasoned. the potatoes with the entree seemed like run of the mill food service fries. The beet salad and entrees were also very tasty. however, we asked for the mustard aioli on the side with the hamburgers but that's not what we got. For dessert we ordered the milk chocolate mousse and the crème boule. They were okay but nothing extraordinary . Given all the outstanding restaurants to choose from in Sonoma County, think it's unlikely we will go back.

The bar and the dining room area appeared very modern and clean. Started our meal with the Gochujang glazed cauliflower wings and they were phenomenal! Beneath the deliciously flavored glaze was a crunchy fried cauliflower that maintained its veggie tenderness! The allium dip was a bonus because it elevated the flavor to another dimension. This was definitely one of our favorite items of the night! The Parker rolls were served with a homemade butter and they were light and airy which made them pair nicely with the fresh golden beet salad. They served a very generous portion of lettuce and added all kinds of goodies in it- the burrata, pumpkin seeds , homemade french bread croutons , tomatoe and beets lightly coated with the balsamic dressing - yum! Moving onto the main entrees: the Lamb Rigatoni was served with al dente pasta in a light lemony cream sauce that combined shredded lamb shank with green peas. Was quite tasty and it was a nice change of pace from eating pasta with beef bolognese . The other entree was the Beef Wellington and it was rich ; the filet was cooked perfectly! We enjoyed every bite of this superb dish. Our meal ended with the chocolate mousse and the panna cotta which were equally delicious! Overall , we had a spectacular meal and can't wait to go back and try the bijou burger and other menu items.

I went in February mainly because they were having a February special and collaboration with Ji's Kimchi. They offered three choices: The Kimchi Rice Bowl The Gina (a fantastic vegetarian option) The Ji Street )It was absolutely amazing)! I truly wish they would make these items a permanent part of the regular menu because they were that good. It's a combination of the good, fresh and premium ingredients they purchase and use and in this instance that also included Ji's Kimchi! Beyond their specials, their standard sandwiches, smoothies, and salads are always top-tier. I highly recommend checking them out if you want a great meal!

I tried the Petaluma sandwich with fresh sourdough, turkey, cheddar, pickled onion, avocado, and arugula. It's a classic sandwich, but every ingredient felt elevated. The sourdough tasted freshly baked, the turkey portion was generous and clearly good quality, and everything came together in a way that felt carefully crafted for freshness and flavor. I especially liked the pickled onion, which added a nice vinegar bite, and the arugula, which gave it a peppery finish. Overall, it was simple, fresh, and really well done. A great sandwich shop if you appreciate quality ingredients.

The music-themed decor on the walls added a bit of character to the space. We sat ourselves at a table, grabbed a menu we saw sitting near the bar at the center of the venue, and found an employee walking around to place our food order. He was friendly and helpful and provided excellent service. It took about 25 minutes for our food to be ready which was kinda long, but after trying our dishes, it was totally worth the wait. The potato skins were like mini loaded baked potatoes, but fluffier and easier to eat. It was super cheesy and tastier than I expected, especially with the ranch and sour cream that came on the side. The classic pot pie was a large dish and quite filling, with plenty of sizable chunks of chicken and veggies mixed together nicely in a thick and flavorful roux. Not to mention the flaky buttery crust on top. Wow, I really liked this. And my bf finished every last bite of his grilled salmon dish, no complaints. The lemon drop cocktail was yummy, just the right sweetness and a good amount of alcohol without ruining the flavor. All in all, we had a 5-star experience at Torches and wouldn't hesitate to return.

The prices are more than fair for the generous portions. I hope the community continues to support this family owned restaurant as much as this restaurant continues supporting the community.
