Owner is absolutely unhinged. Came in with family from out of state and the entire time we waited he complained about everything under the sun. Every hand written note in the shop or on windows is something negative and uninviting. You're right, Ralph. I must be remembering a different Fregene's where the owner didn't go on a 15 minute diatribe about his former business partner to the extent that half our party decided to wait in the car instead. read more

Fregene's Pizza - Owner's insanity. - Pizza Near Me - Petaluma, California

Great place to go to if you want quality food! We've gotten the daily special before ($3 slice + drink), but today we wanted to try a whole pizza. We got the Silsiccia and added bell peppers. Thin crust, flavorful sauce, right amount of cheese - overall quality ingredients. It was $30 for the large and it was definitely worth it! The owner even threw in some free brownies. The interior has a fun vibe to it and was very clean. We also noticed some freshly grown basil plants at the window! 10/10 experience - yummy quality food, kind owner, fun interior & so close to downtown. Will definitely be coming back! Note: payment options are only cash or Zelle. read more

Had a badass talk with the owner about the town, great customer service and strait up owner to plate food service. The homie was honest and genuinely looking to please. The elephant in the room is the street light pole out front . No F_@&$ given here 10 out of 10 on the offending mugshots being posted in the window. read more

Been coming here to this spot for a long time and it's always been the best owners super cool always good to chat with.

Ate here on a weekday afternoon. Had a few slices and the aroma just waiting for your slices a minute. Delicious sauce and thin crust slices ready. Ended up buying 4 extra slices togo. My daughter was so happy to get home and have more pizza. Can't wait to go back and order a pizza. read more

I've never been a "chicken on pizza" kinda person, but the Spicy Bacon Chicken Ranch is AMAZING. My friend recommended this place as a spot she orders from regularly, and I was not disappointed! The owner has been running it solo for years, so each pie is consistent and the service shows how dedicated he is to his craft. I always get a couple of brownies for afters. The dining area is clean, welcoming, and I can't wait to try everything on the menu! read more

My 9 year olds favorite pizza! Slam dunk every time for him! It's our go to spot for a quick slice at the right price!

Fregene's Pizza - Comfortable place to chill out! - Pizza Near Me - Petaluma, California

The food was OK but the service here is asinine and the owner here absolutely is someone that I would never work for let alone buy food from ever again To go on after three years of commenting and getting negative reviews from customers to not allowing them back in your business because you are a poor business person is poor business practice, and this is one business in Petaluma. I hope to see go out of business. Not much of an ambience place that sells pizza slice & doesn't even have a restroom for its customers Fregene's can rot read more

Fregene's has been a staple of Petaluma for as long as I can remember. I've been a happy customer for over 15 years. I started coming here as a teenager for a quick bite on the walk home after school. He was the first place I was a regular to! Ralph has been a one man show to this place for years and I swear his ranch is the best in town! His thin crust pizza deal is the best in town and a quick call will always have my pizza ready in minutes! Love this place, and it's a part of home for me. read more

Fregene's Pizza - My happy face after having this pizza and soda for a great price and seeing a great nice man who runs it - Pizza Near Me - Petaluma, California

Overall, the pizza was pretty good! You can tell it was made by a good man who knows how to cook!! The place is owned by one man and he does all the pizza making himself! A nice dude! The pizza had just the right amount of sauce, cheese, and was generous with the pepperoni! It wasn't too salty or bland, it was just right! It definitely doesn't taste like your normal pizza, but it's so good and I just can't pin-point why! Definitely have to try for yourself to understand how good it is! ALSO A PLUS, the ranch was super duper good!! I love my ranch and BRO, it is so good and definitely 5x better than your typical hidden valley!! Overall, a pretty good local pizza place and a small pizza was only $12-$13 for a pretty good size!! Support your local places!!! :)) read more

Extremely slow service. Waiting 45+ min for a pizza is absolutely not ok. And the pizza crust is not a crust. It's a cracker. Not worth the wait nor the price read more

The people working there are very rude, the food was not a 4+ pizza, very mid, Acme pizza is just a walk away.

How on earth is this place still in business?!? I just got a slice of cheese pizza there, and it was by far the most disgusting pizza I have ever tried, And I am including frozen pizzas when I say that. Little Caesars pizza is way more delicious. Dipping a saltine cracker and good quality pasta sauce would be way more delicious. The Pizza H such a vanishingly small amount of cheese that it contributed absolutely nothing to the taste or texture, so my "cheese" pizza just tasted like thin pizza crust with bargain basement Ragu pasta sauce on top and no cheese. And I was extremely hungry when I went there, which usually makes food taste much better, not worse, which says a lot about how incredibly crappy this pizza is. If you want cheese pizza, get frozen pizza. Do not go to this horrible place!!! read more

The pizza is delicious. We stop everytime we are passing through Petaluma. My kids love it and the owner is wonderful. Ralph makes you feel like family. The pizza is fantastic! We've been coming here since my son was about 2 years old, and he's now 11! Both my son and 6-year-old daughter prefer Fregene's over any big chain pizza place. They always make my husband and me drive from Santa Rosa, where we live, all the way down to Petaluma for some delicious pizza. We don't mind the drive at all because it's definitely worth it! read more

first time at this pizza place!! i was craving for a slice of pizza because some pizza places only sell a whole slice and then i found this place on google maps so i decided to check it out! they only accept cash or zelle! i ordered a slice of pepperoni and was talking a bit with the owner, he is very sweet! the pizza was so good i love a thin slice of pizza, the only downside of it is I should've bought more than 1 slice. i will come back again soon ^.^ read more

Fregene's Pizza - Verde pizza slice. Yum - Pizza Near Me - Petaluma, California

This place proves that pizza isn't just about cheese, tomato sauce and dough. With so many pizza places around, there must be a secret ingredient for your pizza to stand out. And this place delivers the secret no doubt. Like a blast of favors hitting your taste buds, this pizza picks you up and delivers you, first class, straight into classic Italy. No fluff or gimmicks. Just a real, tasty, yummy, delicious pizza pie. And once again, it proves the ancient idiom: It doesn't take magic to make a good pizza. It's all in the ingredients. Oh, and of course the amount of love you put into it. And that's probably what makes Fregene's Pizza so distinct. It utilizes excellent ingredients. The cheese and crust are absolutely to die for. And the home-made tomato sauce recipe which is used to bind the two together, is, without a doubt, a home run. It's quite surprising to find such a pizza gem in....Petaluma, CA. I know what you're thinking. True, it may not be the "Big Apple", nor is it Chicago. But the concert and harmony of flavors hidden inside this pizza box, are no less of an affair. So beware if you visit the place with your spouse... Surprisingly affordable, enchanting-friendly service - complement the amazing pizza-experience, in making this place a true 5-star pizzeria. As my Italian friend would say: Molto bene! Eccellente! read more

Classic "Hole In The Wall" Gem. I always order no more than 3 toppings on an XL. Ralph the Owner might seem gruff at first, but he's actually the best. Interior is eclectic, embrace it! He tells you when you call when the pizza is ready and never misses the mark. I take it home. While en route I call in and ask someone in the house to preheat the oven, then reheat the slices. Hidden fact- best chili flakes, seriously. Just gotta ask. This is a thin crust house, no BS pizza. Don't believe the negative yelpers. Try Ralph's work and decide for yourself. read more

A very unique and tasty thin crust pizza joint owned by a wonderful man named Ralph who also lives above the restaurant!
