Always stop at Acre Pizza when near Petaluma. Solid vegan options featuring Miiyoko's vegan mozzarella. Fantastic crust, sauce, toppings. 5 stars. If I lived closer I'd be fatter. Pinball, pool table, very family friendly. Beer and wine selection looks nice. Fantastic diet fountain cola.

Brown lettuce in a very small, wilted salad for $18.95. Do you love your customers? Its friggin lettuce, cmon. Never serve brown lettuce at your restaurant. Seriously. Massive disappointment

Pizza was delicious! A bit pricy but really good flavor. I was obsessed with the flavor of their ranch too. Skip the marinara on the side - it was pretty bland

Ok, we've been here a number of times, now and I have to say it's one of our go to pizza spots, definitely has the best atmosphere, clean, fun, open space, with some games. They have a good selection of vegan options here, I love the Detroit pizza and potato pizza! You order at the counter and seat where you want, always good service. And they have NA beer! We have also been to trivia night here (Tuesdays, if it's still going on?) and had a good time! Definitely recommend this spot and we will definitely be back!!

I love Acre pizza. I was introduced to it a few years ago when delivered for a company party. My friend suggested we go there for game day lunch. What fun we had. The pizza is offered by the slice when sitting inside. One slice pizza order is 2 slices of pizza. For $5-8, you get 2 slices of pizza and you get to enjoy the ambiance of the restaurant and giant TVs. I was amazed. The pizza by the slice comes in deep-dish Sicilian style or thin-crust pizza. I heard someone talking about a gluten-free option as well but I can't confirm . The restaurant has an open feel with plenty of space for families with kids. Some restaurants welcome families however kids are right on top of adults trying to enjoy their meals. Perveyers offer a pool table, and fooze-ball table for customers to enjoy. Game day specials include wine and beer with a slice of pizza for $5. What a deal and what fun.

Light-filled dining area with high ceilings, pool table, and arcade

If I was somehow stuck inside any dining establishment for a few days (don't ask why or how), this would be among my top choices (don't ask why I would have a choice of which place). Why? 1. The food: The fungi pizza is amazing--a toothsome and chewy crust along with a healthy top layer of mushrooms and a smattering of lemon peel on top. (Last year I had the same pizza at the Sebastopol location and it didn't have the lemon peel, but I felt that this small add really elevated the taste by a wide margin.) You can also get it made vegan if you wish. 2. The interior: Abundant natural light, high vaulted/wood beam ceiling, airy space, minimal decor...all of this combined creates the perfect relaxed atmosphere. It helps to go during off times so you and your dining companion(s) have the place pretty much to yourself as we did on this weekend afternoon. 3. Recreational extras: Arcade games and pool. The pizza was so good that another one was ordered to go, but for some reason this one did not have the lemon peel. So my only suggestion for the kitchen is: please don't forget the lemon peel for the to go orders!

Acre pizza is our go to spot!! We love the vibes of each of the locations and that you can enjoy a drink while eating amazing pizza! I can't have dairy so the fact that they offer vegan cheese is great but what makes it better is it's a local vegan cheese to Sonoma county and tastes really good making missing real cheese a bit easier. Great for date night or family fun!

Definitely our favorite pizza place in town. Great menu: pizza is delicious...we love the crust, good beer and wine selection and atmosphere. Booths but also tables for larger groups. Easy parking. Music playing but not too loud. Also, individual slices available.

    Yuck!

We've ordered three times from Acre. First time the pizza was perfect . Crispy crust and plenty of toppings. The second time pizza was soft , mushy and floppy crust. So figured we'd try again and SPECIFICALLY asked for CRISPY crust . Nope. Super floppy and soggy again. Terrible actually Sorry but 1 out of 3 isn't good enough on quality control. Asking for a crispy crust should be an easy order request and is very common at good pizzerias. The inconsistency of Acre Pizza isn't worth it. That first pizza we had was perfectly crispy....that cook must have quit. PS: When taking orders to cars please include a few packs of Parmesan and pepper flakes....like every single other pizza place o town does . Got nothing

We got pepperoni pizza with sausage and two slices with cheese.

Really expensive average pizza. I paid $14 for an arugula salad that was basically a box of arugula with one topping.

Miyoko's Kitchen has many unique options, including the very different approach to melting cheese - the pourable liquid mozzarella in a bottle. What they discovered is that when they had to add starches / fillers to get grated "cheese" to hold up, it didn't melt well. So they decided to just keep the liquid, lose the starch, and see what happens when it's spread thinly and broiled. Success! It works on pizza, and even grilled cheese. Takes a bit of time to get used to how much to use, how thinly to spread it, and how long to broil, but the resulting melted cheesy effect is great. Haven't tried making my own mac & "cheese" with it, but I'm going to give it a try. It should be great when making French onion soup, and topping with a baguette slice, drizzling the liquid cheese on top and broiling it to get the slightly browned melted effect. Their plant-based butter is pretty darn close in flavor to the real thing, so I don't feel deprived on that score. It is pricey, so I keep an eye out when I'm at stores like Sprouts to see if they ever have a sale on their items. I want to try some of the more exotic wheels with flavors like Black Ash, Smoked Gouda, Herbes de Provence, or European Truffle. Hmm, maybe I'll get some and take it to a BBQ party we're attending for the 4th! With some gourmet crackers. . .yum!

I was very surprised to try and like Soban, especially here in Petaluma. The menu is limited, but I think it rivals authentic Korean food found in the city or peninsula just the same. Sadly a lot of the dishes were lacking. Banchan: Good selection, their kimchi was more mature and sou. I don't love that they charge for refills. Gimmari: was one of the best things we ate at Soban. Crispy on the outside and the noodles on the inside were perfect. Soban Chicken: This was the most disappointing Korean fried chicken I have had in a long time. It was dry and lacked flavor. Pan Fried Mackerel: This was okay. Slightly overcooked but my toddler and I enjoyed it. Kimchi Bibim Guksoo: The noodles were good but the Kimchi again was on the more mature side which made the noodles overly sour. I would still come back to Soban given it is one of the few options for authentic Korean food in the North Bay.

A Great Lunch Stop with Amazing Tacos and Fresh Flavors!…read more We stopped at Quiote in downtown Petaluma for a quick lunch while en route to Oregon. The restaurant has decent seating inside, and the staff are incredibly friendly. A really nice touch, especially for hot summer days, is that each table gets complimentary diced chilled watermelons to start. The food was fantastic from start to finish: * Tortilla Chips & Salsa: We ordered their special house-made tortilla chips, which came with green and spicy salsa dips. They were fresh, crispy, and highly flavorful. Definitely highly recommended! * Carne Asada Tacos: This was my absolute favorite taco. The steak was one of the best I've had, and the flavors were awesome. * Grilled Cod Fish Tacos: Our second favorite was the fresh grilled cod fish tacos, which were absolutely fantastic. * Chicken and Shrimp Tacos: We also ordered the chicken and special shrimp tacos, which my wife and kids loved. * Rice and Beans: My kiddos got a side of rice and beans, and they were very flavorful. * Flan: For dessert, we ordered the flan. It came topped with a unique whipped cream infused with orange flavor, which was excellent. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing through or in the area!

Is this the Best Mexican restaurant in Sonoma County?…read more Don't let the simple, unfussy interior fool you -- Quiote is quietly doing some of the most exciting Mexican cooking in the Bay Area. This family-run Jalisco-style spot in downtown Petaluma sources quality ingredients (heirloom maize, Rancho Gordo beans, fresh local seafood), and it shows in every bite. And, of course, the staff is warm, personable, and genuinely happy to walk you through the menu -- take them up on it. Guac & Salsa -- I've had a lot of chips. These might be the best I've ever had. The raspadas are the move here: thin, crispy, shatteringly light corn chips with a texture unlike anything you'd expect. Not your standard tortilla chip -- closer to something airier and more delicate. The guac and salsa alongside are equally solid. Molotes -- Traditional Mexican street snack: golden, torpedo-shaped corn masa dough fried crisp on the outside, packed with savory filling (think potato, chorizo, cheese), and served with salsa and crema. The exterior crunch giving way to the warm filling is deeply satisfying. Highly recommended. Tacos ($7.50 each) -- Yes, $7.50. And yes, worth it. The 100% maiz handmade tortillas are the foundation everything is built on, and they're exceptional. I worked through a lot of the menu and didn't find a miss -- al pastor, barbacoa, cochinita pibil, carne asada, fish -- all executed with care. If you're not sure where to start, just ask. The staff knows the menu cold and will point you right. Quiote isn't trying to be flashy. It's trying to be correct -- and it nails it. One of the best Mexican meals I've had, full stop.

Well I just gotta say, the Rotisserie chicken is just out of this world! Yummy in my tummy! Oh yeah! And being in person with the atmosphere and seeing the chicken there in the kitchen just made it even more special and tasty and did the say good customer service as well even though they are busy? This location inside is like a warehouse setting gray with long communal seating or some tables scattered. There are also seating outside the plaza in the back with a shared fountain out in plaza. I could just sit and lounge outside as it's so relaxing on a nice warm afternoon. So for first timers be sure to order the chicken. Yummy. As the summary online states it has delicious and flavorful Puerto Rican food, with popular dishes like Pollo Rostizado, Bistec encebollado, and Cubano sandwiches. The portion sizes and the reasonable prices for the quality and quantity of food is nice. Guests mention the lively atmosphere, the clean dining areas, and the friendly, attentive staff. This is definitely worth a stop by or if you in rush, order to go! I promise you won't be disappointed.

"I left my soul...near downtown Petaluma....high on a hill, it calls to me..." Okay Tony Bennett…read morethis location of Sol Food may be no where near San Francisco, try as they might, or a hill, but it is centrally located near Sonoma wine country, which makes it the perfect place to grab a quick bite there or for the road with a meal filled with authentic Latin cuisine with a true emphasis in Puerto Rican cuisine. Open for over four years since 2022, this location of Sol Food is symbolic of the success that founders and owners Marisol "Sol" Hernandez and her husband, Victor Cielo have found themselves in ever since they opened back in 2004 with their first brick and mortar location in downtown San Rafael after being such a success with their Farmers Market stand. After a second location opened in Mill Valley, many other cities have been clamoring for Sol Food to open in their neck of the woods with no such luck, but somehow Petaluma got lucky as the perfect confluence of factors presented themselves with this huge location in a still relatively new complex that previously hosted Sauced BBQ for a number of years. This location along Petaluma Boulevard South and D Street is perfect for both locals and out-of-towners to make a beeline for their third location. What brought me here finally was the fact that I was in town to meet a friend, but somehow managed to get in the area so early that I thought to myself what if I finally get to this location of Sol Food and order some food to take home, but also casually nosh on a little bit of my order beforehand? Parking along Petaluma Boulevard South was surprisingly easy, as I think I got here early enough to find enough decent parking available. When I arrived at Sol Food they had a decent amount of customers sitting inside their dining room, but they were not filled to maximum capacity. The takeout ordering counter is actually located towards the rear of the restaurant towards the inner courtyard where they have additional outdoor seating. With a fast-casual kind of vibe where visitors can order from a kiosk screen, everything was super orderly at this vast location. The menu at Sol Food is separated into categories including Desayuno (Breakfast); Caldos, Sopas y Guisos (Soups, Stews & Broths; Combinacions (Combinations); Sandwiches, with a majority served on French Roll; Ensaladas Frías (Cold Salads); Ensaladas Calientes (Hot Salads); Plátanos y Cosas Fritas (Plantains & Fried Thangs); A La Carta and Sides; Postres (Desserts); Refrescos (Beverages); and Café (Espresso Drinks). With this big of a menu, obviously there is a lot to choose from. Since I have been to their San Rafael location, and having the knowledge that Sol Food is famous for their Pollo Al Horno which is their signature baked chicken thighs, I decided to gear my appetite towards the sandwich section of their menu, and their Sándwich De Pollo which was made with baked chicken, ham, sautéed onions, Swiss cheese, tomatoes, organic greens, and spread with cilantro-lime mayonnaise was calling my name. After clicking through my lunchtime order with my sandwich, there were additional items on their Specials of the Day section of their menu that I didn't even know existed and their Spicy Coconutty Stew, that had the benefit of being served with cooked shrimp at an additional cost, of which I passed on, sounded appetizing thanks to the spicy and coconutty broth that was topped with fresh cilantro. Served with steamed rice and their deep fried plantains on the side. This dish put the spice in a spicy Puerto Rican inspired meal! My total bill was $29.66 before gratuity was added in, which made for a rather moderately priced lunchtime meal considering how much food I was about to get in my brown paper bag. It wouldn't take too long for my food to be brought to where I was patiently sitting along a small counter with stools that seemed made for people waiting to pick up their orders. I could not resist and I decided to eat half of my chicken sandwich right there outside in their courtyard area and I was not disappointed as it was juicy, flavorful and piping hot with every bite. I took a few spoonfuls of my stew and it too was a real tasty winner and upon returning home and reheated this daily special menu item was just as flavorful when I first tasted it earlier. I am so glad I not only got the opportunity to try the wonderful dishes at Sol Food Petaluma finally, but even with them opening here with this prime location, I now have a spot to make a brief stop to get all my favorite savory dishes ordered in quick succession. "When I come home to you, Sol Food Petaluma, your golden sun will shine for me..." never sung so true when visiting Sol Food Petaluma!
