With Papa Murphy pizza on Lakeville Rd. it's a hit and miss . I wrote a review years ago and updating it now. Yesterday I picked up a lg mushroom pizza. After looking at it before paying I decided to add more mushrooms. They were sparse this time. When I got home and took off the wrapping it didn't smelled off, almost bad. Papa Murphy's, we have all had it, what is there left to say? While some excel over others, I found this location to be better than most. Service was spot on and when arriving everything was ready to go and everyone had a smile on their face and willing to help. When it comes to a chain, that is always a plus! Pizza itself was done perfectly with absolutely no complaints on my end, so cheers to the staff at this location. I was going to give on this place after arguing with untrained teenagers on what was/was not allowed to be put on my freakin' pizza. Even the manager years ago was unfit and untrained. Brad the manager has made everything perfect. He gives me the pizza I want the way I want it. No arguing. That's the way it's supposed to be. I ordered a pizza online a two topping medium with sausage and pepperoni. When I walked in to pick it up I was greeted politely asked if I pre powdered and was shown the rack to find my pizza it was there waiting for me. I noticed the cleanliness of the place and the employees all looked clean and well dressed. Also I noticed a help wanted sign saying they pay $5 above minimum wage. I've been frequenting this store for 5 years. Each year the pizza gets more tasteless. Ordered a Cowboy and Mediterranean Herb Chicken tonight. The Cowboy was a 4/10 scale, the MHC was a 2/10. I hate to say it, but out of all the years that Papa Murphy's has been in Petaluma I have never been in nor have I ever had their pizzas until 12/02/17. I know, you're thinking "WTH?? Has she been living under a rock????" But honestly I don't do a lot of pizza and have never thought about getting one from them except when I've already got my meals planned. Well a few days before I ventured in, I asked my brother if he and his son wanted one as I was going to get one to which he replied yes. Then I asked if he knew what "take & bake" was and he didn't so I explained and then it was "oh forget it." I know talk about being a lazy butt about having to bake it yourself. Geez!!!! (ha ha) So with that I decided I've got food in the refrigerator so I'll skip it. Then on the 2nd I decided to do it, take the leap, take the plunge and got 2 pizzas. One was a family size half Hawaiian and half pepperoni & sausage and the other was a large 5 meat stuff pizza. The young lady that took my order was very helpful, friendly and personable. The place was clean and seemed very well organized. (I even picked up their cookie dough which made some yummy cookies.) And it was just few short minutes after I placed my order that the 2 pizzas were made, wrapped & ready. I took these bad boys home, turned the oven on and cooked the family size one for my brother. Boy it barely fit in my oven, it was huge!! After it was done I popped the stuffed pizza in as it would take longer and it would allow me the time to drive the first pizza to my brother & his son. Now I have to say that the stuffed pizza was delicious! I mean you can't go wrong with 5 different meats stuffed inside all the yummy pizza dough!! I asked my brother the next day how the half Hawaiian & half pepperoni & sausage was and he said it was very good! So with that, this gal is hooked on Papa Murphy's! Can't wait to try a different type of pizza. A Papas Fan from way back! I know from my frequency at multiple locations and 59 years in customer service that you guys work hard. But I also feel I owe you the honest feedback at this location. You have sent me reviews in the past which usually reflect your commitment to quality but sometimes lacking in friendly service. Today was not a good experience as it seems "service" has expired. I fully realize the workforce we are dealing with and it's associated challenges but I've always felt when an error is made it's an opportunity to win over a guest, not annoy them even more. I had to phone in to request an online order be moved up 30 minutes and was told "no problem". Wonderful! Except when I arrived I was greeted with "Oh, a little early?" I explained and was told they would start the order; it's now 5 minutes late and 15 before I left, which defeated the entire purpose of ordering online. Walk ins left before I. I can easily forgive the error, but not the indifferent and even sassy employees. I want you to succeed, please coach your employees. read more

This was my first visit. I did an online order about 8AM to be picked up about 12:15. I found the place, parked & went in. The pizza was ready. Very clean & orderly. They were very nice & I walked out. I went around to put my order in the car. A fellow parked next to me asked me questions about my car (21 Corvette) and as we talked a girl from Papa Murphys came out to talk about how she loved my car. Really great experience here. Had Papa's last night, 1st time in a while. This little store has always been consistent, my all time favorite is pepperoni with their white garlic sauce. Makes the whole pizza fabulous. Heck any of the pizzas with their garlic sauce instead of marinara is great. The veggie or BBQ chicken pizzas are really good too. Calzones are huge and can easily feed 3. This store made a mistake on my pizza order once in the last 5-6 years and they made it right by comping my entire order the next time I ordered from them. Service has always been polite and helpful.
