We noticed a line outside Stellina Pronto the first day we were in Petaluma so we knew we had to visit. We went for breakfast, there was a constant flow of customers, visitors, as well as many who appeared to be locals. The bakery is small, but the service flow was efficient. My croissant was fresh and very buttery. There was a great selection of pastries, sweet as well as savory. Employees were pleasant and service was quick. We enjoyed our coffee and pastries at the window bar where we could see people enjoying the pleasant spring morning in downtown Petaluma. When in Petaluma, I recommend a visit to Stellina Pronto.

I see why the line was put the door. These gems are worth the wait. A well oiled machine of a French bakery, this place has everything you could ever want in a baked morning sweet or savory treat!

We wanted to start w some savory pastries , so we ordered the mushroom fuccacia and the goat and mushroom pastry - both were amazing: dough , filling , everything . 4.5 stars . We then decided to get some sweet pastries - I got the pistachio croissant which just ok (3.2) and my wife got the pear pastry which was better but not amazing (3.5). It's a nice place all together , worth it for the savory items

Stellina Pronto is the Italian bakery of my dreams. I grew up in an Italian American family in Providence, RI. There are very few places out here on the West Coast that remind me of the foods I grew up with. This is one of those places. In many ways, this bakery steps up even more than places I grew up with. The flavors, the textures and the quality of ingredients really shine here. On my visit the other day, I got one of their pre-made salads and two pastries. Their lemon ricotta puff is has a custard that is so delicious. The pastry is light and flaky. The passion freight kouign Amman is a similar pastry but it's baked longer with more caramelization on it. The passion fruit custard here is so tart and sweet. I wish there was more of it! I got the Tuscan Cobb salad as well. There are many elements in this salad and I love that. It has crunchiness from the chick peas and pancetta, the blue cheese crumbles have a strong flavor but I love it, the red wine-marinated egg is unique and fun, plus the chicken is really good. I need to come back here and try the piadini's and the pizza, which looked awesome as well! Very happy this bakery is here!

Pastries are SO FLAKY - fillings have good flavor. The wait line appears long but it moves quickly - very patient and friendly staff.

As always, everything beautifully done. This is a tight and lovely setting. Warmer days outside seating is quaint and charming. Always consistent, spot on and delicious. Brought my bestie here. She loved it as much as I do. We got ours to go to our respective homes. Hers in Menlo Park and mine in Sebastopol.

I lined up around 8:15 in the morning and there was a fresh round of pastries being arranged in the display case. Everything is stunning. I bought a few pastries to take home to my family. I do wish for the few pastries I bought that they would offer to put it in a box for me rather than a bag , and the prices are definitely up there, but taste and creativity are phenomenal. Lots of street parking in the morning.

While visiting the grand bambino's our son told us to try this little gem and Stellina Pronto did not disappoint. Don't be surprised that there is a small wait because everything in this place is delizioso. There is a variety of decadent pastries to choose from as well as sandwiches and pizzas. An assortment of packaged goods as well. The place is small but offers both outdoor seating for al fresco and some indoor counter area. Do not get discouraged if the line is out the door, it moves quickly but gives you an opportunity of checking out the goods and taking their vibe in. The staff is friendly and patient and does recognize their long time customers. So when in Petaluma grab a coffee and a pastry and take a "passigata" on the streets of this wonderful little town. I will be back to enjoy all that you offer. Bravissimo Stellina Pront! Ciao

Super quaint, super city, super cool vibe. Except some longer wait times, but for good reason. Really good pastries, definitely coming back to try the pizza later!

Love this bakery. They always have new items that I feel I have to try!! Their cake on display seems to change daily and I've tried a piece everytime I went. The packaging is nice to give away as a gift too!

I originally rated this place about 1.5 - 2 years ago. Since then, their selection of high-quality food and Italian delectables have burgeoned . Although crowded, ambience is friendly and service is efficient. On weekends, this place has a line out the door for hours. During the weekday it's practically the same, just not as long a wait ( except for lunchtime). Catrina is an exquisitely tuned in manager who takes great care to ensure the food is top-quality and delectable. On weekends, parking can be tricky, but there is parking two blocks down by the banks. During the week, you'll you could easily get a spot right on Kentucky Street. Check out there, mouthwatering exquisite Thanksgiving offerings!

Huge pastry display!! Made it hard to decide whether to go sweet or savory. Ultimately decided to get the cinnamon scone and my husband got the pistachio chocolate croissant. Both were verrrrry delectable and satisfying. Honestly I trust that anything you get, you'll have your cafe/bakery needs met. There's also outside seating to eat with your puppers (if applicable). Stop looking at other cafes nearby and just go here if you want to start off your morning on a high note and a satisfied tummy!

Delicious! Will definitely be back. They have a wide selection of pastries, salads and pizza. They also made a great iced chai. The staff was incredibly friendly.

    All the goodies!

Seriously, you might think pie is pie, but no, there's pie, and then there's pie from Petaluma Pie Company. Friendly employee and clean area outside the shop is well. So that's good. They recently underwent an ownership change in 2024 from the OGs, but fortunately, instead of selling to a corporation, they sold it to an employee and his mother to help ensure the original ethos and quality remain intact. The Good: * Their pies are made with locally-sourced and organic ingredients bought from the local farmers market--as well as some fruit that they grow themselves! * Outdoor dog-friendly seating * As mentioned above, they have both sweet and savory pies. We only tried the sweet *oink oink* * Friendly service * Love that they have both full sized pies and smaller ones, so you don't have to commit to a big ol' pie. * We tried their Elvis (PB, banana, and chocolate) and their Black & Blue Crumble and they were both fabulous! I leaned a bit more to the B&B, as I absolutely adored that granola crumble on top, but the Elvis was no slouch either. The Meh: * Interior is small and very cramped. Definitely a grab-and-go type operation. The Ugly: * Parking in DT Petaluma can be a hassle, as it's street parking only, but at least it's free. Conclusion: Fantastic spot to scratch that 3.14 itch--and I'm always itchy!

I was leaving a restaurant & walked right smack dab in the middle of the farmer's market. After drooling, I mean looking at the various flavors that Simply Strudels had to offer I ended up buying a whole vanilla bean strudel mainly because the person selling the strudels said that it can be kept in the freezer until ready to serve whether it be whole or just slicing a piece off to defrost & eat. I took my first bite & was sold, hook, line & strudel, I mean sinker! I had seen over the years that Simply Strudels had opened a store front but never had the opportunity to stop by as their hours of operation conflicted with work. But one fine early morning I happened to be driving on Petaluma Blvd., South & noticed the open sign & thought to myself "self, you haven't had breakfast so stop in & get some strudel." So glad I listened to myself! So on this particular day I opted to buy 2 savory portions (1 for that morning & 1 for the next day. Bacon, cheddar & potato and garlic, spinach potato) as well as one sweet portion (fresh meyer lemon cheese strudel). OMG TOO DIE FOR!!! The savory strudels were perfection, I mean I could eat those every day for breakfast! I that fresh meyer lemon cheese strudel was Heaven on a plate, so fresh, crisp & lemony! I think it's worth it!
