There are only a few seats inside near the windows where you can people watch or be watched by the incoming line while you enjoy a delicious assortment of pastries. I got the prosciutto, fig and jam puff pastry. So yummy and the crunch on the layers were definitely on point. I also grabbed me a chocolate chip cookie which is huge and probably the same size as my face. And of course my sweet tooth wouldn't let me walk away from the register without grabbing a brownie. Took my girlfriends here for some pregame breakfast bites before one of our tournaments and they loved everything they got. So many things to choose from, you'll probably leave with a box. Cute little bakery and cafe in downtown Petaluma. This is a busy little shop so if you don't mind the wait, you'll be glad you stopped. They seem to be organized and keep the line moving quickly. Found this location after driving around Petaluma and decided to give it a try. came around noon and initially there was no line however after we ordered the line blew up. We ordered: 1. Strawberry maritozzi: Of all of the pastries this was actually my last favorite. I felt like the bread was a bit dry and flavorless. The cream was good however and not too sweet like your typical American dessert. I think if they could some how use a different type of bun that isn't as dry, this would be amazing. 2. Caprese Sandwich (wrap): This was incredible. I really liked this sandwich. It was so flavorful and the balance of the pesto and chicken was amazing. Highly recommend. Very large and filling too. 3. Mushroom focaccia: Loved this! Focaccia was fluffy and a very generous amount of mushrooms on top. 4. Passion Fruit pasty: I LOVED this! It reminds me of being in hawaii again and reminded me of the malasalas there however in a pastry dough form. 5. Chocolate pistachio croissant: High quality pasty very fluffy and light with huge amount of chocolate. Overall, I felt like the savory items were incredible and overshadowed the sweet items. Stellina Pronto is an absolute must visit! We were staying nearby and rolled in around 7:00 am on a Saturday craving some authentic morning pastries, and let me just tell you, there was already a substantial crowd for a reason.  Be careful because you might honestly end up buying out the whole store. The variety is unreal and it is flaky pastry galore. It is my first time in Petaluma, and I was chatting with a local who said she has tried everywhere and this is hands down the best pastry shop in town. I didn't even need to try anywhere else because everything I got was incredible. I tried the goat cheese and onion pastry and it was out of this world. So I was in the area for the day, and wanted some delicious coffee and pastries. I looked up Stellina Pronto, on here and decided to make the 5 minute walk up the street. I wasn't disappointed! The pasties were absolutely delicious, and the coffee was top tier! I'm never in Petaluma, so I'm glad I stopped by and grabbed some goodies. It's a great sign, when the line is out the door! Stellina Pronto is usually busy and has lines out the door. Thus, we decided to grab coffee from a coffeehouse first and sip while waiting in line and waiting for the food. Stellina Pronto has many options. This time, we decided to go there specifically for their pastries to compliment our coffee. We ordered at the front counter and waited several minutes for our pastries - which was odd because it wasn't heated nor any extras were added so they could've easily grabbed the pastry from the front counter instead of verbally calling us back by name. A better workflow will greatly benefit the speed of processing orders. Parking could be a challenge during peak times but there are parking lots and street parking nearby. The pastry was flaky, puffy, and the fruit was ripe and not sour. I'll be back when I'm in the area to try their other pastries and dishes. read more

Cute little bakery in downtown Petaluma-- it's bright, airy, and has a friendly neighborhood joint vibe. They have specialty shelf stable chocolate and snacks and a display full of beautiful desserts! ** pistachio cream puff (4.5/5): unlike the more traditional choux shell, this one was laminated like croissant dough-- fun! The cream was also thick enough to not leak everywhere and didn't taste artificial. Really enjoy this one! ** strawberry and cream chiffon cake slice (3.5/5): didn't really feel like a chiffon cake or maybe it was on the drier side. It worked well with the mascarpone frosting though, which was smooth and a little too rich for me by itself. There wasn't too much strawberry besides the sweet jam layer in the middle. ** Brutta mi buoni (4/5): translated to "ugly but delicious," this craggly meringue actually caught my eye and curiosity for its looks. I'm usually not a fan of meringues, but this one was loaded with nuts and was tasty. Kind of tastes like a refined version of those Lucky Charms cereal marshallows in a good way! Happy with my little haul at Stellina Pronto! They were friendly and had a few window seats + outdoor seating. I'll probably stop by next time I'm in the area to try some new items. We noticed a line outside Stellina Pronto the first day we were in Petaluma so we knew we had to visit. We went for breakfast, there was a constant flow of customers, visitors, as well as many who appeared to be locals. The bakery is small, but the service flow was efficient. My croissant was fresh and very buttery. There was a great selection of pastries, sweet as well as savory. Employees were pleasant and service was quick. We enjoyed our coffee and pastries at the window bar where we could see people enjoying the pleasant spring morning in downtown Petaluma. We were in Petaluma and stumbled into Stellina Pronto when we were looking for some breakfast and what a find! The line out the door when we arrived was the first sign we were in for something special. When you walk in, there's a beautiful spread of freshly made salads, packaged cookies, baked goods, drinks, and all kinds of seasonal treats. Everything looked so good it was almost overwhelming in the best way possible. You order at the front after moving through the line (which, by the way, moves quickly thanks to the super friendly staff). The pastry selection is incredible, and it was hard to choose. They also had frittatas and a variety of savory sandwiches that looked just as tempting. We ended up trying the Pronto pull-apart muffin, which had layers of flaky puff pastry and apples--absolutely delicious. We also got the vanilla brioche bread pudding, and it was divine--rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. They also serve pizza for lunch, and if it's anything like their pastries, I'm sure it's fantastic. The coffee bar is just as impressive. I ordered a cortado, and it was perfectly made with just the right amount of milk. There are a few seats inside and some outside, making it a great spot to sit and enjoy your coffee and treats if you can snag a spot. We were in Petaluma for the weekend celebrating my birthday, and each morning I tried a new local breakfast spot--supporting local is my jam. But OMG, this place is next-level (in the best way!). Whether you're craving something savory, sweet, or right in between, they've got you covered. The pastries are absolutely over the top--fair warning, the prices are too--but they're as stunning to look at as they are delicious to eat. They also sell pre‑packaged foods, and in the afternoons you can grab pizzas baked in their authentic Italian pizza oven. There was a long line when I visited, but it moved quickly and was well worth the wait. They serve lattes and coffee drinks too, which made the experience even better. But I was here this morning, shortly after another Yelper actually - her review mentioned the "trash service" by the workers here, and I have to agree. It was terrible. The prices here are crazy, and it's not that hard to actually be kind to people. I asked specifically how to heat the corned beef pastry at home, and I followed the instructions and it was stone cold in the middle and I had to pull it out of the oven because it was starting to burn inside. It was deeply disappointing. Customer service was lacking, and when my order was ready, the female staffer wouldn't even look at me - she was just concerned with chatting about plans with her coworker. I really wanted a container for that corned beef pastry so it wouldn't get smashed on my drive home, but she could not be bothered to stop her chit-chat. Stellina Pronto is the Italian bakery of my dreams. I grew up in an Italian American family in Providence, RI. There are very few places out here on the West Coast that remind me of the foods I grew up with. This is one of those places. In many ways, this bakery steps up even more than places I grew up with. The flavors, the textures and the quality of ingredients really shine here. On my visit the other day, I got one of their pre-made salads and two pastries. Their lemon ricotta puff is has a custard that is so delicious. The pastry is light and flaky. The passion freight kouign Amman is a similar pastry but it's baked longer with more caramelization on it. The passion fruit custard here is so tart and sweet. I wish there was more of it! I got the Tuscan Cobb salad as well. There are many elements in this salad and I love that. It has crunchiness from the chick peas and pancetta, the blue cheese crumbles have a strong flavor but I love it, the red wine-marinated egg is unique and fun, plus the chicken is really good. I need to come back here and try the piadini's and the pizza, which looked awesome as well! Very happy this bakery is here! read more

While visiting the grand bambino's our son told us to try this little gem and Stellina Pronto did not disappoint. Don't be surprised that there is a small wait because everything in this place is delizioso. There is a variety of decadent pastries to choose from as well as sandwiches and pizzas. An assortment of packaged goods as well. The place is small but offers both outdoor seating for al fresco and some indoor counter area. Do not get discouraged if the line is out the door, it moves quickly but gives you an opportunity of checking out the goods and taking their vibe in. The staff is friendly and patient and does recognize their long time customers. So when in Petaluma grab a coffee and a pastry and take a "passigata" on the streets of this wonderful little town. Although crowded, ambience is friendly and service is efficient. On weekends, this place has a line out the door for hours. During the weekday it's practically the same, just not as long a wait ( except for lunchtime). Catrina is an exquisitely tuned in manager who takes great care to ensure the food is top-quality and delectable. On weekends, parking can be tricky, but there is parking two blocks down by the banks. During the week, you'll you could easily get a spot right on Kentucky Street. This is my favorite bakery. I love their gluten free Blondie, it tastes like heaven. Their chocolate chip cookie is also one of the best I've ever had. The crinkle cookie is great, the caprese piadine is delicious... haven't tried anything I haven't liked from here. My dad loved the vegetarian croissant, and my mom enjoyed the blueberry croissant. Everything was delicious, though the pastries were a little on the denser side. If you like highway robbery, be my guest, and lap it up! Tell your friends you have been there to make an impression, if you need the most expensive! Anytime I'm in Petaluma, I have to make a stop at Stellina Pronto. It is such a cute, neighborhood bakery that serves beautiful and delicious pastries, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas. It's hard for me to get out of there without committing to a days worth of calories in one sitting, but somehow I manage... It's a tight fit, so you can expect to stand in line in a cramped space for a bit before ordering, but it gives you plenty of time to peruse their gorgeous creations and make up your mind before reaching the counter. I especially love the pistachio cream puff and can't say no to it whenever it's available. It has crunchy pistachio on top and an insane custardy filling that is unreal. They also have a variety of savory pastries that I try to kid myself and say I can eat in addition to my sweets because it's not sugary, but, yeah...
