They have specialty shelf stable chocolate and snacks and a display full of beautiful desserts! ** pistachio cream puff (4.5/5): unlike the more traditional choux shell, this one was laminated like croissant dough-- fun! The cream was also thick enough to not leak everywhere and didn't taste artificial. Really enjoy this one! ** strawberry and cream chiffon cake slice (3.5/5): didn't really feel like a chiffon cake or maybe it was on the drier side. It worked well with the mascarpone frosting though, which was smooth and a little too rich for me by itself. There wasn't too much strawberry besides the sweet jam layer in the middle. ** Brutta mi buoni (4/5): translated to "ugly but delicious," this craggly meringue actually caught my eye and curiosity for its looks. I'm usually not a fan of meringues, but this one was loaded with nuts and was tasty. Kind of tastes like a refined version of those Lucky Charms cereal marshallows in a good way! We were in Petaluma and stumbled into Stellina Pronto when we were looking for some breakfast and what a find! The line out the door when we arrived was the first sign we were in for something special. When you walk in, there's a beautiful spread of freshly made salads, packaged cookies, baked goods, drinks, and all kinds of seasonal treats. Everything looked so good it was almost overwhelming in the best way possible. You order at the front after moving through the line (which, by the way, moves quickly thanks to the super friendly staff). The pastry selection is incredible, and it was hard to choose. They also had frittatas and a variety of savory sandwiches that looked just as tempting. We ended up trying the Pronto pull-apart muffin, which had layers of flaky puff pastry and apples--absolutely delicious. We also got the vanilla brioche bread pudding, and it was divine--rich, comforting, and perfectly balanced. They also serve pizza for lunch, and if it's anything like their pastries, I'm sure it's fantastic. The coffee bar is just as impressive. I ordered a cortado, and it was perfectly made with just the right amount of milk. There are a few seats inside and some outside, making it a great spot to sit and enjoy your coffee and treats if you can snag a spot. We noticed a line outside Stellina Pronto the first day we were in Petaluma so we knew we had to visit. We went for breakfast, there was a constant flow of customers, visitors, as well as many who appeared to be locals. The bakery is small, but the service flow was efficient. My croissant was fresh and very buttery. There was a great selection of pastries, sweet as well as savory. Employees were pleasant and service was quick. We enjoyed our coffee and pastries at the window bar where we could see people enjoying the pleasant spring morning in downtown Petaluma. We were in Petaluma for the weekend celebrating my birthday, and each morning I tried a new local breakfast spot--supporting local is my jam. But OMG, this place is next-level (in the best way!). Whether you're craving something savory, sweet, or right in between, they've got you covered. The pastries are absolutely over the top--fair warning, the prices are too--but they're as stunning to look at as they are delicious to eat. They also sell pre‑packaged foods, and in the afternoons you can grab pizzas baked in their authentic Italian pizza oven. There was a long line when I visited, but it moved quickly and was well worth the wait. They serve lattes and coffee drinks too, which made the experience even better. Stellina Pronto is the Italian bakery of my dreams. I grew up in an Italian American family in Providence, RI. There are very few places out here on the West Coast that remind me of the foods I grew up with. This is one of those places. In many ways, this bakery steps up even more than places I grew up with. The flavors, the textures and the quality of ingredients really shine here. On my visit the other day, I got one of their pre-made salads and two pastries. Their lemon ricotta puff is has a custard that is so delicious. The pastry is light and flaky. The passion freight kouign Amman is a similar pastry but it's baked longer with more caramelization on it. The passion fruit custard here is so tart and sweet. I wish there was more of it! I got the Tuscan Cobb salad as well. There are many elements in this salad and I love that. It has crunchiness from the chick peas and pancetta, the blue cheese crumbles have a strong flavor but I love it, the red wine-marinated egg is unique and fun, plus the chicken is really good. I need to come back here and try the piadini's and the pizza, which looked awesome as well! Very happy this bakery is here! read more

While visiting the grand bambino's our son told us to try this little gem and Stellina Pronto did not disappoint. Don't be surprised that there is a small wait because everything in this place is delizioso. There is a variety of decadent pastries to choose from as well as sandwiches and pizzas. An assortment of packaged goods as well. The place is small but offers both outdoor seating for al fresco and some indoor counter area. Do not get discouraged if the line is out the door, it moves quickly but gives you an opportunity of checking out the goods and taking their vibe in. The staff is friendly and patient and does recognize their long time customers. So when in Petaluma grab a coffee and a pastry and take a "passigata" on the streets of this wonderful little town. I originally rated this place about 1.5 - 2 years ago. Since then, their selection of high-quality food and Italian delectables have burgeoned . Although crowded, ambience is friendly and service is efficient. On weekends, this place has a line out the door for hours. During the weekday it's practically the same, just not as long a wait ( except for lunchtime). Catrina is an exquisitely tuned in manager who takes great care to ensure the food is top-quality and delectable. On weekends, parking can be tricky, but there is parking two blocks down by the banks. During the week, you'll you could easily get a spot right on Kentucky Street. Anytime I'm in Petaluma, I have to make a stop at Stellina Pronto. It is such a cute, neighborhood bakery that serves beautiful and delicious pastries, salads, sandwiches, and pizzas. It's hard for me to get out of there without committing to a days worth of calories in one sitting, but somehow I manage... It's a tight fit, so you can expect to stand in line in a cramped space for a bit before ordering, but it gives you plenty of time to peruse their gorgeous creations and make up your mind before reaching the counter. I especially love the pistachio cream puff and can't say no to it whenever it's available. It has crunchy pistachio on top and an insane custardy filling that is unreal. They also have a variety of savory pastries that I try to kid myself and say I can eat in addition to my sweets because it's not sugary, but, yeah... I have picked up a few things here, mainly little pastries and little cakes. They have a perfect princess cake. I've tried the eclair. It was light and crispy and sweet without being too sweet--the kind of yummy where you feel like you could eat maybe two or three because they're definitely delicious. I've tried their croissants. The plain one is good but the chocolate of course, is my all-time favorite one of those with a great cup of coffee, and by the way, they serve great coffee as well, a match made in heaven. And they have these cookies, raspberry almond thumbprint cookies with a raspberry Center nice and thick enough with the raspberry the cookie itself is like an almond pastry light and crispy, and it takes everything I have not to shovel the whole bag in my mouth they are that dang good! They also have real food like pizzas and sandwiches made with fresh bread and you can get bread to go as well. and of course, lots of delicious pastries. I haven't tried everything, but I'm working on that. I will tackle that pastry Mountain lol there's much to offer at this place and their hours are amazing 6:30am to 8:00pm you can order online as well such as ordering cakes or pastries or pizzas, sandwiches, just about anything your little hearts desire. My friends from our gym has introduced me to Stellina Pronto and have never looked back since! I would say I love this cozy little space with mouthwatering pastries and savories! The service is always warm and welcoming. There is a line most of the time because they are so good but If you come in at the perfect time, lines don't get too long! I have been here many times, I ordered pastries and matcha latte. I have ordered their pistachio cake as well for Thanksgiving and my in laws enjoyed it so much. The chicken saltimbocca is so good! More pricey than I'm used to, but well worth it. You're definitely paying for quality! I got a pistachio cream puff, spinach and feta torta, and another puff pastry with brie, figs, and prosciutto. Every one of them was so good and the texture of the pastry itself was amazingly crisp, with all of the layers being well defined. It was so good that I ended up eating all of them in one sitting instead of saving one of then for the next day as I had intended... The atmosphere is very cute, not much seating if it's really busy, as the store is small.
