I love this place. I often get the kimchi bowl with protein and it's so delicious. I only wish it is open for dinner as well. Great for people with wheat allergies as there are gluten free options and vegan options as well. They also have lots of items from other shops for you to pick up. It's healthy but really DELICIOUS. No, seriously it is tasty filling stuff. You can get GF or vegan or vegetarian or omnivorous dishes. Grab and go salads, amazing bowls , soup, and pizza slices. The pizza is not greasy NY style but yum square slices, and usually a few options. They use great grains ( farro, brown rice) and you can add chicken or salmon to most anything. And locally sourced and organic ingredients. My only negative is the drink selection. Water is free (yay!) but otherwise you better like overpriced kumbucha or other options like that. We came here to get a quick lunch. I wouldn't say the food was amazing but the staff is super nice so I gave it an extra star. They were also doing donations for BLM support. We got the following: brunch bowl - wasn't too flavorful, almost bland. I think it needed salt or something, but the flavors were also overpowered by the spinach. Caesar salad - nothing special but it was good! Mushroom and pancetta pizza -- small in size and a bit over toasted, flavor was good Pepperoni - same, small and a little over toasted but good. I love salad and I especially love salad that surprises you by introducing ingredients you hand't thought of before (smoked trout, sumac dressing, etc). There are so many of these salads at Lunchette it's hard to decide on which salad to get. The last one I ate had curried pickled cauliflower in it (they pickle all their own vegetables) and it was delightful! One of my favorite lunch places in town! Good grab-and-go salads that are way more interesting than your typical cold case caesar or mixed greens. My favorite item is not a salad but the brunch bowl made to order: pesto brown rice with greens, sweet potato, avocado, and a poached egg. They are open for curbside pick-up, so I stopped in today and picked up a Farro Salad w/Chicken. It's just the absolutely best marriage of flavors - Farro with farm lettuces, harissa-roasted chicken, goat cheese, little bites of apple, these delicious candied almonds and then pickled onions - all with this absolutely fabulous mustard vinaigrette.. OMG! And it was the freshest tasting too - like the lettuce was just picked and the dressing just whipped up. There was a large portion too, and had it not been so delicious, I could have saved half for another meal... but that did not happen! This salad was about the best I have had. What a treat! My wife and I have been getting take out from Lunchette ever since COVID-19 shelter in place orders were issued. We love their food and are pleased that the to-go containers are compostable. My wife especially likes the Tahini Bowl (a warm dish with brown rice, spinach, sweet potatoes, and more; she says the Tahini dressing is wonderful and it makes for a winning dish). Lunchette is a gem! Located in the heart of downtown the place resonates with good energy and awesome wholesome food. I had a Caesar salad today but that common name doesn't do justice to the high quality of the salad with its very fresh appealing greens, thin sliced radishes, Parmesan cheese, roasted harissa chicken and fresh herbal croutons. The salad was awesome but I was also admiring my friends' dishes that they were enjoying around me. The indoor environment was clean and attractive and there was a nice table with long benches that we used just outside. I had some yummy chocolate bark with cashews and Japanese salt that was made by the owner's step father. I highly recommend that too. The prices reflect the high quality of the food. You can't go wrong here and to make things even more amazing they are now offering "warm brown rice bowls" for the cold weather. This place is too intensely organic / vegan for its own good. I just asked if the salad that i ordered for the first time trying this place had any cheese in it and I got yelled at , "ITS VEGAN!" Damn! Sorry i guess. I didn't know this place was being run by a bunch of vegan Klingon Warriors. I just don't like cheese or anything that is trying to taste like cheese.
