BBQ Chicken

Unexpected Thai Treasure! Sometimes the best meals come from the places you least expect and this charming, tucked-away Thai restaurant was one of those magical last-minute finds that totally delivered. From the moment we walked in, the warm hospitality and welcoming atmosphere made us feel right at home. The service was attentive and kind, and the food absolutely incredible. BBQ Chicken Plate Perfectly grilled, tender, and full of flavor. The plate came with a crisp salad, a mound of fried rice, and a delicious dipping sauce. It was hearty, satisfying, and beautifully presented. Pad See Ew A comforting plate of wide rice noodles stir-fried with broccoli, egg, and savory sauce, smoky, just the right amount of spice, and incredibly fresh. Tom Kha Soup A personal favorite, and this one did not disappoint. Creamy coconut broth, aromatic lemongrass, and a medley of mushrooms and chicken, each spoonful was warming and soul-soothing. Fresh Spring Rolls Light, vibrant, and loaded with crisp veggies and herbs. The dipping sauce was the perfect sweet-savory match. Fried Tofu Crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, paired with crushed peanut sauce that added texture and depth. An underrated star! Every dish brought authentic Thai flavors, generous portions, and so much care in its preparation. We left full, happy, and already planning our return. Moral of the story? Don't underestimate those little spots you find by chance, they just might become your new favorite.

Such a nice family run spot tucked in a shopping center. The place was smaller than we expected, but cozy and we walked in right before closing. Even though we were there at closing the staff were welcoming and didn't rush us at all. We ordered the crispy rolls, curry and pad see ew. My son got the veggie crispy rolls and was satisfied. The yellow curry was the standout for us. It was flavorful, with a hint of sweetness, the potatoes were soft and def the best part of the meal. The pad see ew was also good and tasted like a solid classic version of the dish. We don't live in the area so we are glad to have stumbled upon this little spot.

Great service! We had a late lunch, so we were the only ones in the restaurant. Small little restaurant but perfect. Food was very flavorful. I like the option between regular salad and papaya salad. The side of papaya salad was one of the best papaya salads I've ever had. Highly recommend.

Spot is tiny so it can easily missed. Free parking is shared throughout the entire plaza. Seating are avaliable both inside and outside. It wasn't busy when I came to dine-in so I was taken care of pretty quickly. Another group came after me but sat outside and was served water. I never got water, I think it was because I had a water bottle with me. Ordered chicken satay with a side of rice and cucumber salad which I recommend for anyone to try. I was disappointed with the papaya salad, it came out too salty (too much fish sauce) and wasn't enjoyable to eat so I didn't touched it for the most part. When someone came to check up on my food, I mentioned the papaya salad and he apologized and asked if there's anything I would like so I just asked for more of the cucumber salad. It was a good thing I didn't order the full sized portion of the papaya salad or that would've been a waste. Still paid for it too.

Sticky Rice w/ Mango

Such an expectingly pleasant find tucked into a shopping center. Clean, bright and airy space. Lunch for 3 on a Monday afternoon. You order and pay at the counter or table side using a QR code. We ordered the Mixed BBQ Special, Papaya Salad, Pad Thai with Tofu, Mango Sticky Rice dine in and Pumpkin Curry Togo. Portions we generous and presented beautifully in the gorgeous bowls and platters. Waiting for food was 10-15 minutes. BBQ meat was marinated well and moist. Three sauces accompanied the platter and not necessary but very delicious. Chicken was the census favorite. Papaya salad was refreshing but less authentic than we like, meaning not fishy/sticky enough. Pad Thai noodles were cooked to perfection. I like mine with a kiss of lemon. Mango sticky rice was devoured shortly after it hit the table. I only sampled the mango and it was perfectly ripe. An orchid was presented in almost every dish. I have an inkling it was one man show. The gentleman took our order, cooked the food, served it and refilled our waters. It was also good to see there are a family friendly restaurant with outdoor seating as well. Will be back when in town to try the soups and other noodle dishes.

I've been wanting to check out this place for a while. So last night was the night. Cute, clean restaurant. Kind and helpful staff. Menu smallish yet perfect. I ordered 2 dinners and a soup for my granddaughters to go. I had my dinner there. I ordered the coconut base soup with tofu. Ordered the hot sour soup and BBQ Pork plate with house salad and rice. Everything was amazing. Looking forward to next time.

One paper thin piece of pork, beef, a healthy chicken thigh and two drenched pork ribs

I came here when they first opened and everything was so delicious, and they had generous portions. This last visit was very disappointing, it's been about a year since we ate there so we decided to try a 45 dollar plater that looks beautiful. But when we got the food the cuts of meat were paper thin? They are using the cuts for like a hot pot but grilling them and service one slice of pork and one of beef? What a rip off, when we asked what came in the platter the owner said new York steak, pork chop, chicken thigh and BBQ pork ribs. Yes all of that came on the platter but was so little, I can't get over them serving a slice of shaved meat as a serving lol. I don't recommend getting the pork ribs, they tasted old and gamy smothered in some sauce that was salty with pineapple chunks. Not a fan. The papaya salad was super salty, I'm just glad that we only ordered one platter to sample before placing more orders.

Best Thai in the area! The food is always fresh, perfectly prepared and delicious! The vegetable fried rice is to die for. The BBQ plate is my son's ultimate favorite. They have outdoor and indoor seating.

Ask the Community - Thai BBQ House

Do they serve beer and, if so, anything on tap?

Yes there are beers, but nothing on tab. Singha, Lagunitas IPA, Tom Yum Beer, and Tom Kha Beer.

Thank you for your quick answer. How do you protect gluten free food from cross contamination in the kitchen?

We keep all food separate. We use different pans for the curries and soups. We clean the wok and brush the grill after every order.

Anything gluten free?

Hi Eric, for gluten free items we have: Pad Thai, papaya salad, chicken satay, chicken noodle soup, sticky rice mango, and all curries.

Do you take reservations?

No. Walk in casual restaurant.

This is a lovely family run restaurant worth supporting, and I highly recommend eating here!…read moreWe wanted to try something new and decided on Pho Sonoma. It was a mellow Tuesday night and when we walked in the restaurant was mostly empty, which was a little unnerving, but we were greeted promptly and warmly. We ordered an appetizer and 4 entrees between 2 adults and 2 toddlers, and nearly licked the plates clean. The banh mi sandwich, garlic noodles, and BBQ pork are to die for! But, what made the visit truly special was meeting Jenny, the owner and chef, and her husband. They came out personally to check on our table, introduced themselves, and made my husband, our two young kids, and me feel completely at home. Their warmth and genuine hospitality are rare, and it showed in every interaction. This is the kind of family-run gem you hope to stumble upon -- where the people behind the food are just as wonderful as the food itself. We'll absolutely be back! Thank you for such a wonderful experience!

Quality of food is also beyond my expectations. Waitress recommended the clay pot so I gave that a try and don't regret it one bit. It's everything I love. Lots of tofu, veggies (that weren't over cooked) and rice. I have a big appetite and the amount of food was just the right amount. I did not leave hungry at all. while I waited for my food, they brought my appetizer. It was delicious. The shrimp spring rolls were fresh, and peanut sauce that came with it was loaded with little peanut pieces (I love a crunchier sauce over a smooth sauce). I also enjoyed a Thai iced tea. I'm not a fan of almond milk, but whichever brand they use, was better than any other I've had at other places. I want to go back and try the bahn mi sandwich. Service was really good and restaurant offered booth seating and open table seating. Can't wait to go back!

Located on Lakeville Highway, just east of Hwy 101, it would make a good place to stop for a nice lunch or dinner. I was there on a warm Saturday, at around 11:30 am. The dining room has a contemporary asian decor. The AC kept the air cool and comfortable. There's several 2,4, and 6 seat tables. Just before lunchtime, the place was 1/3 full with customers. I was seated along the wall. I was offered a menu, and choice of hot tea or ice water. I asked for chopsticks, because the place setting had a fork. I ordered the Mongolian Beef lunch plate w/ fried rice. Also, I asked for an order of (Lightly Breaded) Fried Prawns. Service was excellent. My waiter was very attentive, and served my food as soon as it was ready. He told me if there were any delays. I didn't have to ask for anything. The Fried Prawns were large and plump. They were served with various sauces to choose from. The Mongolian Beef lunch plate had a nice presentation. The portion size was fair. The fried rice was moist, and blended well with the Mongolian Beef. The Mongolian Beef was spicy and tasted just right. Hot 'n Sour soup came with the lunch plate. Lily Kai's recipe for hot 'n sour soup is a little different than what you might get in most other chinese restaurants. They make it with alot of mushrooms. The familiar flavor was there, but it lacked several expected ingredients. Well, as long as it tasted good, I'm okay with it. ----------------------------------------------- So I had a great first time experience here. The plaza has a free shared parking lot. There's a Starbucks Coffee shop in the same plaza. Also, this place is down the street from the Kaiser Medical Offices. Also, they have clean and large restrooms. UPDATE mid-May 2026…read more They've reopened a few days a week due to popular demand! They were focused on their catering for a bit. No hot pot until the winter. Only open on weekends. Lunch is takeout only. Yay! Their bbq pork is their specialty along with other roasted meats.

I would rather eat lobster or…read moreartichokes than chicken or green beans, and given the choice I'd gladly eat my body weight in dim sum over basically any other food. That hasn't changed at all for me as an adult! In Sonoma county there was really just one place with dim sum, and lots of people wanted more options. I tried other restaurants with their dim sum adjacent menus, but they were pretty mediocre and mostly focused on fried pot stickers or the occasional steamed siu mai. Once I heard fantasy was starting a true dim sum menu, I knew we had to try it. The day we arrived I was solidly in my third trimester of pregnancy and getting around was a chore, but that wasn't going to keep me from dim sum. We were the only guests the whole time on the day we went there, which was weird to me given how good the food ended up being! Service was great, super friendly and just lovely folks. The restaurant was clean and we'll organized, and the menu was a good mix of traditional favorites and some trendy BAO for the insta. We ordered a little of everything , which to me is why dim sum is so fun. Food came out super fast, and we tucked right in. Surprisingly to me, my favorite dish is one hubs picked on a whim, the spicy won tons. The flavors and textures were on point, and even with pregnancy heartburn, the spice on these things was well worth it. Super delicious. I felt the pandan and black sesame bao were overly trendy for my taste, but I'm sure those who are new to dim sum could see these options as easy introduction into the food. Really good experience here with very tasty food, nice people and quality dishes. I'm still getting over the idea of expensive dim sum because of growing up eating it in SF with low costs in a humble setting, but for this overall experience I felt the prices were fine. I will definitely be back, and eager to try the rest of the items on their menu.

As a parent of teenage boys who can put away serious amounts of food, I'm not sure whether to thank GoHan or blame them... but here we are. That said, the quality makes it completely worth it. The fish is incredibly fresh, and the rolls are outstanding. Our go-to favorites have been the 'My Hot Valentine' and 'Rainbow Roll' both are consistently excellent and seem to disappear from the table in about 30 seconds. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and they've made it easy (and fun) for our whole family--even the newer sushi eaters--to find things they love. It's become one of those places where everyone is happy, which is no small feat. If you're in Petaluma and want consistently great sushi in a relaxed, family-friendly setting, this place absolutely delivers. I enjoyed a split of champagne to go with our meal, which was a nice touch. I definitely would come back here again.
