OK so let's start with the outside, the outside is a little sketchy, and it smells like the cow pastures all around Petaluma. I don't visit Petaluma very often, but my family was hungry so we decided to stop because this restaurant got very good reviews. We went inside the restaurant which was very small, and extremely hot. There were fans but no air-conditioning it was really uncomfortable however, the food made up for it. I got pad Thai with chicken, my food was very good. Maybe not the best pad Thai that I've ever had, the noodles were a little bit sticky whereas I prefer there to be perhaps a bit more sauce to separate them more, add a little more flavor but overall, eight out of 10. My husband got the tofu pumpkin curry which was an interesting choice for him because he's not a vegetarian like my daughter. His food was very good, unique interesting flavor, that came with a side of rice. My son got barbecued pork chops, they come out very thin but they had that nice char to them, that also came with rice and a salad, he's 11 and he ate every single bite, and it was a lot of food too! My daughter got vegetarian eggrolls and TOM - KA soup with vegetables added. The only flop was that soup. Normally I love this soup but even though the flavor was good, the vegetables were kind of weird in it, I don't think it's their fault I think she just ordered the wrong thing. The eggrolls were very basic, crunchy good flavor but without meat not my jam. Everybody was really happy with their food, the tofu in my pad Thai was cooked very well, not overcooked or dry or rubbery, same as the chicken. It wasn't overcooked or dry or rubbery just done properly. We do head out that way from time to time, but not often. But if given the opportunity I can't say I wouldn't eat there again. Such a nice family run spot tucked in a shopping center. The place was smaller than we expected, but cozy and we walked in right before closing. Even though we were there at closing the staff were welcoming and didn't rush us at all. We ordered the crispy rolls, curry and pad see ew. My son got the veggie crispy rolls and was satisfied. The yellow curry was the standout for us. It was flavorful, with a hint of sweetness, the potatoes were soft and def the best part of the meal. Spot is tiny so it can easily missed. Free parking is shared throughout the entire plaza. Seating are avaliable both inside and outside. It wasn't busy when I came to dine-in so I was taken care of pretty quickly. Another group came after me but sat outside and was served water. I never got water, I think it was because I had a water bottle with me. Ordered chicken satay with a side of rice and cucumber salad which I recommend for anyone to try. I was disappointed with the papaya salad, it came out too salty (too much fish sauce) and wasn't enjoyable to eat so I didn't touched it for the most part. When someone came to check up on my food, I mentioned the papaya salad and he apologized and asked if there's anything I would like so I just asked for more of the cucumber salad. Such an expectingly pleasant find tucked into a shopping center. Clean, bright and airy space. Lunch for 3 on a Monday afternoon. You order and pay at the counter or table side using a QR code. We ordered the Mixed BBQ Special, Papaya Salad, Pad Thai with Tofu, Mango Sticky Rice dine in and Pumpkin Curry Togo. Portions we generous and presented beautifully in the gorgeous bowls and platters. Waiting for food was 10-15 minutes. BBQ meat was marinated well and moist. Three sauces accompanied the platter and not necessary but very delicious. Chicken was the census favorite. Papaya salad was refreshing but less authentic than we like, meaning not fishy/sticky enough. Pad Thai noodles were cooked to perfection. I like mine with a kiss of lemon. Mango sticky rice was devoured shortly after it hit the table. I only sampled the mango and it was perfectly ripe. An orchid was presented in almost every dish. I have an inkling it was one man show. The gentleman took our order, cooked the food, served it and refilled our waters. It was also good to see there are a family friendly restaurant with outdoor seating as well. First time here. We ordered 3 apps, angel wings, chicken satay, and crispy spring rolls. Everything was delicious. I got myself the tom yum soup. Wish there was more broth and less tofu because the soup flavor was great. For entrees we ordered large special bbq platter that came with chicken, ribs, and steak. Years ago I took cooking lessons at The Oriental Hotel in Bangkok. When I came home I really learned how to cook under Joyce Jue. I even helped her with a few events for fun. My point is I know good Thai food and I'm picky. I think this is the best Thai food in the county. It's consistently delicious, portions are very generous and prepared by a lovely family whose well-mannered kiddos are often in the restaurant. One of the best tom ka soups EVER!! The soup was flavorful and had actual content: mushrooms, onions, chicken (I chose chicken), and carrots. I asked for mild and I got mild!! (A rare occurrence for me). Such an enjoyable flavor without all the heat. The Pad See Ew was made with very wide noodles (maybe homemade ?) and the vegetables were cooked to a nice crispness. Flavorful, even with carrots, broccoli, & napa cabbage added to the noodles and pork. Service was friendly and helpful. I came here when they first opened and everything was so delicious, and they had generous portions. This last visit was very disappointing, it's been about a year since we ate there so we decided to try a 45 dollar plater that looks beautiful. But when we got the food the cuts of meat were paper thin? They are using the cuts for like a hot pot but grilling them and service one slice of pork and one of beef? What a rip off, when we asked what came in the platter the owner said new York steak, pork chop, chicken thigh and BBQ pork ribs. Yes all of that came on the platter but was so little, I can't get over them serving a slice of shaved meat as a serving lol. I don't recommend getting the pork ribs, they tasted old and gamy smothered in some sauce that was salty with pineapple chunks. Not a fan. The papaya salad was super salty, I'm just glad that we only ordered one platter to sample before placing more orders. read more

I've been ordering here regularly over the past year and the food is consistently delicious. At this point, I've tried all their meats (chicken, beef, pork, etc.) and they're all very tasty. I like their fried rice a lot too and their salads are solid. Their prices are good and the food is always prepared rather quickly. I've only done takeout here, but the ambiance seems nice and warm. There are often people dining here and they always seem to be having a good time. The inside seating area is small, but they have a more expensive outdoor seating area which also seems well-set-up and nicely lit at night. read more

Wow, this was a great find. We were at Barn 5400 for an event and wanted to grab some lunch before going home. The food was beautifully plated and delicious. The staff were really friendly. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. You can order at the register or via your phone from your table. The outdoor area is a sectioned off portion of the parking lot, but the tables with umbrellas and the plants really give it a peaceful feeling. We could hear the birds chirping as we ate our lunch. The food came pretty quickly and even though we ordered it all at once, they brought us the appetizers first, then the main dish and then gave us time before serving the sticky rice with mango. Often one expects to be ignored when sitting outside a restaurant but they were very attentive. The salad that came with the samosas had a wonderful sweet oil and vinegar dressing. I would definitely come here again. There is a feeling that they care about what they do here, what they make and it's beauty, and I think that care makes the food taste better. read more

Thai BBQ House, fka OSHA Thai, is under new ownership with a similar menu. It's located east of 101 in a shopping center near Angela's Ice Cream, Cafe Giostra, and Magdelena's. They open at 5:00pm and we popped in at 5:15pm on a Wednesday for a quick bite. The parking lot was busy but we found a spot. You order and pay at the counter, and the food is then brought out to you. Some of the staff seemed newer, so be kind and give them time. There are only 6 or so tables inside but we found one without a problem. I believe that they also have a few outdoor tables when it's nice out. I ordered: Pad See Ew: Flat rice noodle, egg, Chinese broccoli with black bean sauce - $17 It was a substantial portion and piping hot, fresh from the kitchen. I really enjoyed the flavors and textures and would definitely order this again. I took half home and it tasted great a few hours later. My friend ordered: Yellow Curry: Thai yellow curry powder, coconut milk, potatoes, bell pepper & onion paste with tofu (you have a choice of Chicken, Beef, Shrimp, Tofu, or Veggie), with steamed rice. I didn't try hers but it smelled delicious and she said that it was tasty. The food is brought out as it's ready, so her food came out a few minutes before mine. We enjoyed a big family meal here together. Five of us, three generations enjoyed the food. We started with Thai iced tea for some and wine for my mother-in-law. The pad Thai was great topped with fresh crunchy peanuts. The barbecue combo came with a yummy green papaya salad. The barbecue chicken salad was excellent too with a lovely light dressing. There are three options for rice, fried, white or sticky. The sticky rice is a combination of white and forbidden rice, which gives it an exotic purple color. Order at the bar and the food is delivered to your table. Service was excellent with refills on our water and checking in a few times to make sure everything was to our liking. This place doesn't look like much from the strip mall on the outside. The decor isn't fancy, but there are a few nice touches like huge tropical plants and flowers and a lovely display of fresh pineapple and mangoes. We will be back for sure! read more

Driving from "The Graton Resort and Casino" we stopped in Petaluma for a late dinner last night, picked from yelp and the reviews. This was the best choice we could have made, at first we got there and it was empty, but very nice and clean inside. We order our dinner directly from the table using the QR code. Our food was delicious, great strong flavors and perfect serving size. This was a gem, the only bad part is that is 2 hours from home and we can't just come for dinner any time. The Pad Thai came out next and it was savory sweet not so spicy skip mild go for medium nothing we ordered mild was even spicy so if you like that kick you have to get medium. The star of the show was the small BBQ combo plate it came out in like a charcuterie board pleasantly curated and presented this did not disappoint. The chicken was juicy same with the beef but the pork was OMG nice marbeling and crisp grilled edges. This came with three different sauces a classic Nam Jim Jaew and a sesame sauce and a sweet chili sauce. I like the classic and sesame couldn't get enough. We had plenty of food to take home.
