The squash soup was incredible and the lobster mac n cheese. Not ce ambiance, the waiter was attentive. Really good!

I chose two tacos w/ roasted sweet potatoes and Brussels sprouts; one w/ grilled salmon.

Cozy. Indoor seating: 11 at small 4-top tables, and 5 tall chairs at the high counter. You can hear kitchen noises over the 1960s rock music in the corner speaker (Monkees' I'm a Believer; Mamas & Papas' CA Dreaming). Outdoor seating. For the restroom, you go outside and across the way to the back of the Big Easy venue; it's dimly-lit until around 6-630pm when it opens for the eve performance. Tacos were tasty. Other menu items included a seafood pasta special and salads. You can also order from here for The Big Easy later--just not online the day of the performance.

Restaurant tab showing total, but they charged my card MORE

One star for the food, not that it was bad but the way that they handle business overweigh their food. I came here for Sunday brunch after a long morning of kayaking and I thought everything was fine. I always take pictures of my receipts for this specific reason, and I don't make it a habit to tip waitstaff on my card because what they do with their tips and the IRS is none of my business. I went ahead and left them a cash tip and wrote "cash" on the tip line, when I got home, I checked my account and noticed that I was charged $4 more than what my receipt showed. I contacted them Tuesday afternoon and was told that a manager would be calling the following day. I called back Wednesday around 4:30 because I hadnt received a call and was told by the manager (Victoria I believe she said), that she saw my note from the previous day and the only way to give me the difference would be if I went in and picked up cash from them. Well, I dont live in Petaluma so that wasnt an option. I told her I would just dispute it with my bank and since they were acknowledging what happened there should be no reason for them to try to fight it. She agreed. She mentioned that she was going to talk to "the girls" to make sure it doesnt happen again, huh?? So they're in the business of just adding additional tips on cards? This place wont be getting any business from me. If you decide to check them out please check your accounts afterwards.

These guys are amazing! Got there at the last minute before closing in a Wednesday and they left the door open for me and got me a pretty amazing steak and beer to boot. Thank you!

My partner and I came in on Sunday around 11am! The first red flag should have been that it was completely empty and we spent around 1 hour there and only one other couple came in during that time. We were on our way to a restaurant around the corner but the wait time was about 1 hour and we saw a sign saying the speakeasy had brunch. This place was smaller than expected but I love the outside seating area. The waitress was very nice and attentive. The hot chocolate tasted like water The chicken and waffles was not good at all. In the picture you can see just about how much I ate, I ended getting food somewhere else after. The waffles literally fell apart in pieces when I picked it up. The chicken was similar to the chicken you get in the prepackaged Caesar salads. I tried my partners dish and it was bland and honestly just not good either. He did finish his dish because he was very hungry. I will not be back, this place has good reviews and I'm just very confused. I think maybe this place might have good dinner but please DO NOT stop here for brunch.

Had such a lovely brunch at speakeasy and would highly recommend it! Very delicious and affordable for a downtown petaluma spot. Staff is always great and their food is consistently good day or night. Their outdoor area is dog friendly and the atmosphere overall is welcoming and cozy. A great downtown gem on all levels! Also don't forget that they're literally one of the only places in town that stays open past 9:00 on weekdays if you're looking for food in the later hours as well.

Taco trio -- sweet potato and Brussels sprouts, fried plantain, and short rib

I've walked past so many times and thought, "what a cute patio." Finally took the opportunity to sit there and order brunch/lunch. They serve brunch all day on Saturday and Sunday. My husband got biscuits and gravy, which he said was amazing. I tried the pork gravy -- really tasty. I opted for the taco trio based on other Yelp reviews. My favorite was the coconut crusted plantain. I've had lots of brussels sprout tacos at a few other places, and these are "healthier" -- which could be good or bad, depending on what' you're looking for. Short rib was really yummy but could have used some more crunchy slaw to set off the juicy texture.

    Vegan Taco trio to go!

Seemed to have a chill vibe with indoor and outdoor seating...plus they were open. The food was incredible. We started with wings, then went on to the foghorn pizza (think that's the name of it). Our waiter, Arthur then asked if we wanted dessert. We were stuffed but everything was amazing up to that point, so we opted for carrot cake. It was the right decision. Looking for a reason to get back to Petaluma so I can visit again. Next time I'll try to take photos before eating...it was so good I had to stop mid-bite so I could share on yelp.

Christine was fabulous in helping me figure out sauces and ingredients. She was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and deserves a big raise. :) I was already eyeballing the polenta fries (heart Polenta). I switched the sauce to a marinara that was perfect. I also ordered the wings with their homemade caesar dressing and the chipotle sauce. Both were amazing with the chicken. Husband loved their cheeseburger. We both had plenty of leftovers for lunch tomorrow. We ordered a Fog Lifter pizza with GF Crust and goat cheese to-go for dinner tonight. Thank you for a fabulous lunch after a stressful morning. It made our day. Plus the wine helped too. :)

It had been a while since we had last come here, so it was fun to be back and enjoy some of our favorite beers. It was a beautiful day, and they had live music. They also had a couple of large-screen TVs set up showing the World Cup game. Our server was very helpful, answering our questions about beer and bringing us a couple of samples before deciding what to order. I asked for my favorite light beer, DayTime, and we decided to share an order of chicken wings, fries, and their P-Town Chop Salad. The beer was as good as I remembered, and the food was well-made and delicious, especially the wings (with Buffalo sauce). They allow dogs, as long as they are well-behaved and on a leash, so our little guy had fun saying hello to a couple of dogs that were sitting nearby in between his breaks from begging for treats from the table. Definitely not a welcoming place ONLY because of the staff. People there were very cool to me and my friend, but as a female, the female staff were the absolute rudest possible. What an awful attitude and experience. Wow. I even had the real "pleasure" to talk to a couple girls that were there but off that night (employed there, sadly). Their pretentious attitudes wouldn't make it anywhere with any class... but apparently they get away with discrimination just fine. Outright discrimination and bullying. I won't describe here why, but ladies... if people there talk to you... they won't like you, because you take from their tips?! Apparently. The female bartenders I met are horrendous bullies. They seem like they never got out of high school. I literally cried there. Yea, not cool as a grown woman. Shame on them. So my kind message to them... if you want better for your lives and are THAT miserable to treat a human being or any life that way, DO better.
