Cafe Mimosa is such a great brunch spot in Petaluma! The food is consistently delicious, the portions are generous, and there are so many great options on the menu that it's hard to choose. The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the staff always make the experience enjoyable. It's the perfect place for a weekend brunch, breakfast with family, or catching up with friends over mimosas. We love having places like Cafe Mimosa right here in Petaluma and will definitely continue coming back. A wonderful local spot that's always worth a visit! read more

After a luxurious couples spa date what to do for brunch? Hint: not me in the kitchen. My husband ordered breakfast from this lovely cafe through DoorDash. We shared the eggs Benedict with house whisked hollandaise (not gloop from a can OMG gross) while drinking obscene amounts of espresso while our little enjoyed pancakes with fresh berries. The food was delicious! Sometimes you want a brunch that is freshly cooked to order delivered right to your front door. I love my house, why go to a restaurant when I can eat restaurant food in the comfort of my lovely home? My sole constructive critique? The garlic potatoes didn't have even a hint of garlic. Otherwise, everyone was happy, I am putting this on my list for easy peasy weekend brunch at home. Fin. read more

Walked into Cafe Mimosa in Petaluma for brunch and the whole place smelled like absolute garbage. Not food smells. Straight-up foul, stagnant, sewage-meets-old-grease stench the second the door opened. Sat down for five minutes and it was still in my nose. Tried to power through but it was so bad I lost my appetite and left. Place was packed so clearly some people don't care, but if you have a working sense of smell this is a hard pass. Food never even made it to the table because the air was that off. Fix the drains, the grease traps, the ventilation, whatever is going on in there. read more

We had a great breakfast here! The service was fast (but still quality food) and everyone working was very kind and accommodating. Our table had the waffles, French toast, and chilaquiles and they were all delicious. We will be back to try the mimosas :) read more

What a pleasant surprise and a great experience. You wouldn't think it from the way it looks on the outside (pretty bland), but this place not only serves up amazing food but also has extremely good service. The inside is very clean, spacious, and modern, which is a big plus. Their music playlist was also super cool. We were visiting the area from SF for an event and decided to check this place out because it was close to our hotel and let me tell you I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there. You should give it a try! We got the breakfast burrito on tomato wrap and huevos rancheros with a side of a single banana oat pancake. The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful and they had about 8 waitresses on rotation serving everyone, super efficient operation and amazing food served up fast! Highly recommend! read more

Cafe Mimosa - Breakfast burrito and huevos rancheros - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Petaluma, California

Hey, I love this place. I went there for the first time today. Really enjoyed the corned beef hash Benedict. It was a lovely environment. This restaurant is located in a good part of Petaluma so it's easy to get to and there was plenty of parking. You could see was popular because there was a good amount of people, but it wasn't so crowded that I couldn't just get in and make my order immediately, which I was able to do. The Waite staff were amazing. And I have to say the acoustics were spectacular. I work in SOUND and Music so I understand the acoustics of environmenta. Sometimes when you're in restaurants, it gets so loud from the kitchen or from people talking that you can't just enjoy a quiet meal. This place had it down. The kitchen noise was minimal as well as the people talking. I can hear them, but it wasn't overwhelming. In fact, a big party of 8 sat next to me just after I had ordered and they're talking did not bother me either. I would definitely recommend this to anybody who likes a good meal, delicious food and a harmonious involved with a great service. I actually under tipped the waiter because either I was gonna give him three small Bills or one large one. One of reflect on my experience I should've gave him a large one. I hope he forgives me. I do not know his name. Go enjoy a lovely brunch or breakfast when you can. They also serve lunch. I took some photos, but I can't really add them right now because Yelp has this thing where they don't let you add photos unless you add them to the library. That's one thing I wish Yelp would correct because now when I'm posting this, I can't find the photos of the delicious meal. read more

Our visit took place on a Sunday morning at 10 am. Although the breakfast spot was busy, we were seated immediately with indoor booth seating. What I ordered: The Sonoma County burrito for $19. You're given the choice between bacon, sausage or chorizo for your protein. I went with the sausage and for my side I got a fruit cup for an additional $3 instead of the breakfast potato's. Additionally, I ordered coffee which comes diner style for $4. They brought out milk and sugar and when they noticed our cups were empty they filled them up promptly. The coffee was nothing to write home about but it did the job. My husband and dad both ordered the steak and eggs which come with a side of toast and I know they had options but looking back it's not listed on the menu. My husband got the rye, my dad got the sourdough and his partner got the English muffin which looked fluffy, inviting and home made. Overall my burrito was okay, good flavors but a little underwhelming. It lacked protein and was not evenly distributed with the protein that there was. I do wish I went with another option for breakfast. If I were to come back, I'd try another offering. If I could give half stars I'd probably rate cafe mimosa a 3.5 but am rounding up to 4 for the fast and attentive service and will have to come back and try what they specialize in... mimosas and a different breakfast option. read more

I have to be honest, brunch spots tend to be somewhat plentiful. Something has to set it apart to be something worthy of returning. Cafe Mimosa does everything better than average. I don't think it's super duper high-end experience and food, but it's definitely competent and capable any reasonable "go to". I recently moved near this location. It's easy to stop by and have a good meal. The good: food really doesn't let me down. It's not exemplary, but it's solid. The medium: for a place that prides itself on mimosas, the bubbles aren't that great. Sure, I don't prefer orange juice in my sparkling wine. The standard sparkling wine by the glass mediocre at best. I buy a $10 bottle of bubbles at Costco that gives me 4 glasses that are so much better than the one I buy for $11 here. It's not about the markup, it's about the quality of the beverage that they are hanging their hat on. Sure, maybe it mixes with orange juice well. But it would really be helpful to have a baseline. I often have the breakfast burrito, which is delicious honestly. They serve it with your choice of meat inside, with pico de gallo, salsa, and sour cream. They serve it with potatoes, which frankly aren't my favorite. I think it's kind of their little trademark, they serve these breakfast potatoes with every darn dish, and I really wish they were hashbrowns or just not even there. We have had the fried chicken sandwich and omelettes as well. The food is always... Better than average. The restaurant is a normal brunch spot, which is actually pretty clean and relatively well kept. The waiting staff is attentive and friendly. I recommend this spot for an easy, no nonsense brunch. But for a place with a name that honors a favorite brunch drink, I'm disappointed that the bubbles aren't better. read more

Cafe Mimosa - Mimosa flight! - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Petaluma, California

The food was great as well as the service. Was the best French toast ever! Unfortunately it was a bit pricey.

Went to Cafe Mimosa for breakfast yesterday. First impression....it's very nicely decorated, clean and modern. Love the atmosphere. Ordered Waffles and a side of bacon. My partner had Cornbeef Hash and eggs. Both were amazing and great presentation. So was my Peach Mimosa. Great service, very attentive but not overbearing. They have an outdoor patio, but we opted for the cool, booth inside. I definitely will go back, lots more to try on the menu. read more

Cafe mimosa is a great casual brunch spot! It's not super fancy, but it's a nice place to go with friends or family. Service has been quick every time I have come and staff is friendly. It's also not as pricey as some of the brunch places in downtown. I love getting the crispy chicken sandwich and chorizo hash. Mimosa's are great too! So may different flavors. read more

We had a wonderful time at Cafe Mimosa! Upon entering, we immediately noticed how spotless and well-maintained the restaurant was, which we truly appreciated. We were greeted by the friendly waiter, who provided us his favorite choices of food and mimosa flavors. We decided to order the Sonoma County burrito with Chorizo! The burrito was packed with flavors with the house pico de gallo. The garlic rosemary smashed potatoes were amazing, we would come back just for those. We also ordered a mimosa flight, with Mango, Strawberry and Guava. We requested light juice so they were not too sweet. Enjoyed these mimosas and the price was not too bad at $22 for 3 full mimosas. read more

I love this place for brunch. My favorite dish is the Chillaquilles. It is delicious. I have ordered the standard eggs, bacon and pancakes before, but this Mexican dish is the ultimate for me. It's pretty big and I have never had to wait more than 15 minutes for a table. I've been lucky to have the same server each time and she is fantastic. Unfortunately, I don't know her name. She's very attentive and makes sure that our table has everything we need. Will I come back? Yes. Do I recommend it? Yes. read more

First review here, and I chose well. I tried Cafe Mimosa for the first time after recently moving to a new town and it's become my new favorite restaurant! Upon entering, the restaurant is clean and the staff is so welcoming, they make sure to check in on you as often as they can. To drink, ordered the mimosa sampler which consisted of raspberry, peach and mango flavors. They were delicious, and all three drinks were paired off with a delicious slice of extra, sweet flavor. I asked to coat the glass rim with chamoy, which adds a nice tangy taste or kick to it. My meal was the Sonoma County Burrito, which consisted scrambled eggs, jack and cheddar cheese, scallions, and choice of meat with sour cream, pico de gallo and potatoes on the side. So far, it's my favorite dish on the menu. the scallions added a subtle earthy flavor which complemented the smokiness of the bacon. My compliments to the chef and to the staff! This restaurant is by far one of the best Ive encountered and I highly recommend it to people looking for a new breakfast/brunch spot to call their own! Thank you Cafe Mimosa! read more

Came for lunch and ordered the truffle burger, fried chicken sandwich and classic eggs benedict. The burger was fine however, the classic Benedict had practically no hollandaise sauce and very few potatoes. In addition, it tasted bland and we weren't able to finish it. This was not a plate worthy of $21 (see picture). I was disappointed in my entree, the fried chicken sandwich ($20) on their website menu says it comes with avocado & chipotle aioli slaw (see second photo) yet I didn't get either on my sandwich. I brought this to my waitress' attention and showed her their websites menu. She checked her tablet and said that the owners updated the menu three months ago and must not have changed it because her tablet showed that the sandwich no longer comes with those items. I ended up with a chicken sandwich with cheese, sauce & pickles. It honestly sucked and after a few bites, I couldn't force myself to finish it. Positives: The waitress was kind & I understand there isn't much she can do about menu changes. The restaurant was clean as well. Areas they could improve: Menus should match online & in-person. In the incident they don't, you should accommodate the customer who is paying for the specified item. The eggs Benedict should never have left the kitchen looking the way that it did. The cooks saw what they put on the plate & sent it out seeing how barren the plate looked. I believe they can easily improve these concerns but until then, I will spend my money at restaurants that meet these basics instead of wasting $40+ on food that we didn't even eat/enjoy. read more

I've gone back to Cafe Mimosa quite a few times, it's a spot I know won't disappoint- yummy food and great mimosas (and coffee). Service is always friendly when I go. My Petaluma visit the waiter made a special request to the chef to put Chorizo Scramble with my steak when I couldn't decide on the two, super friendly. Eggs Benedict has always been my go- to though . Been to Petaluma and the Santa Rosa locations a few times. I do notice the Petaluma one has a wait time more often when I go (but I don't know if that's just a coincidence ). I usually go for Santa Rosa, since I lived there for a little while, but both locations are great. Both provide a warm, dining, type setting with some higher- quality diner breakfast food. Good atmosphere all around. You'd think for that quality of food, it would be a little intimidating, but the diner setting they got makes it all feel at ease. Ingredients all seem to be really great. If you're looking for an easy, tasty, breakfast place, then this is a safe bet. Don't forget to try their mimosa flight!! read more

We checked this place out while exploring near Petaluma & fell in love with the food! We expected it to have a more "small diner" vibe, but were pleasantly surprised with how much bigger & modern it was. We were seated quickly, but it got a lot busier, so the service was occasionally slow towards the end. Still, we would definitely come back again! We ordered two bottomless mimosas, with the choice of OJ or peach for the juice. Little heavy on the juice, but I personally make mine with just a splash of juice. The food was incredible! We ordered the chilaquiles & the veggie hash. Both had delicious flavor & were big portions of food. The menu also has several vegetarian options, & some can be modified to be vegan. read more

Such an awesome place for breakfast/brunch! Came here with a friend to catch up, per his recommendation, and absolutely loved it! We came on a Wednesday morning, around 10:30am, so it wasn't extremely busy, But there was a good amount of people dining in. We were greeted immediately at the door, and was seated in the next couple of minutes. For food, my friend got the eggs benedict, and I got the protein hash, plus we got the French Toast to share. Everything was so delicious! The protein hash was delicious, great flavor, and very, very filling. Ooh and the French toast was perfect! I loved the addition of mixed berries on top. A sweet finish to our meal! Oh, and of course, we had to get a mimosa each. They have such an abundance of different flavors, plus seasonal ones that all sounded so yummy! The dragonfruit one I got was sweet and nicely balanced with the champagne. I love that they do bottomless and have a sampler for us who are indecisive haha. Our server was fantastic. Very attentive, checked in with us multiple times throughout our meal. Definitely loved the vibes of this place and will be back again soon! read more

We ended up at this lovely spot unexpectedly due to car trouble--and what a pleasant surprise! The place was packed, which immediately gave us confidence that we were in for a good meal. I ordered the Chilaquiles, and they were so good my son nearly finished my plate--we definitely should've ordered two! He had the pancakes, and my husband went with a classic combo of eggs, bacon, and potatoes. But the real standout? The Chilaquiles topped with over-easy eggs and served with beans on the side. So to start ill note the good things: This place looks very clean. Now for the bad things: This looks like a generic buffet style restaurant. No charm no character. It makes you feel like you're in a cheap hotel lobby We ordered a country fried steak with fruit and a waffle. The chicken fried steak had decent flavor but the bread was 2 times the size of the steak, which was pounded to be thin as paper. The amount of food given was too small for $23 and the side of fruit was inedible given it was soaked in sugar water or covered in syrup. The waffles had good texture but were too sugary on top of being covered in syrup and and powdered sugar. It came with an odd bright pink frosting? Turned out it was strawberry flavored butter. We asked for regular butter and got whipped butter...not much better. Seems like this would be good for just mimosas and not food, but in that case it should be called something else, and id still go elsewhere than here just out of ambience. 2/5 stars read more

Cafe Mimosa is a wonderful brunch spot! The service was really quick, despite the restaurant being completely full. The atmosphere inside is great, and they also have decent patio seating as well! We started off by sharing the mimosa flight, and we got to choose three mimosas off the menu to have. The raspberry mimosa is my favorite, it's so yummy! We also tried out the guava and peach bellini, both of which were delicious. For my meal, I got the strawberry mimosa salad topped with chicken, and it is one of the best salads I have ever had! Fresh strawberries, candied walnuts, and feta cheese all came together perfectly. Plus, they served the strawberry vinaigrette on the side, which was great because I'm not a huge fan of overdressed salads. I will definitely be back for the bottomless mimosas! read more

I've come here many times and never had an experience like this before. We arrived around 8:40 a.m., ON MOTHERS DAY.. ordered food and drinks, and the food took an unusually long time to come out. By the time everything arrived and we actually got to enjoy our meal, the OWNER came over to our table and told us we had been there too long. We asked for a check right around 10 a.m. hit, so it's not like we stayed for hours taking up space without ordering. What made this especially disappointing was the way it was handled. Instead of checking in respectfully or acknowledging the delay in service, we were made to feel rushed and unwelcome while simply trying to finish the experience we paid for. As regular customers, that treatment was honestly embarrassing and left a bad impression. Customer service and hospitality matter just as much as the food and drinks, and unfortunately this visit completely changed how I view this place. read more

First time trying this place and it was solid! Service was friendly and attentive and the omelettes and eggs benedict were all done well. The pancakes were light and fluffy and we skipped the powdered sugar which looked excessive. One thing that could be improved is more seating for larger parties. Most booths we saw would be comfortable for 4 adults. For a party of 6, we only saw two suitable tables which may end up in a longer wait if you have a larger group of people. read more

Tiny portion of eggs, 8 potato wedges lined up on the plate to fill the emptiness, bacon looked like it had been reused multiple times. The coffee was so bitter I had to ask for a fresh pot & the coffee cup so tiny my coffee didn't stay hot & had to wait for waitress to notice to ask for more. The single cocktail napkins provided were as thin as toilet paper. No condiments on the table, owner gravely afraid of theft? No jelly, no butter, no napkins, no syrup no nothing. When you are not generous you will not stay in business. I predict this place will disappear in less than five years. It will take a while for other people to notice what we noticed. Stingy, stingy portions, bitter coffee in teeny tiny cups, thin cocktail napkins, zero condiments on the table & a surcharge to boot. Thank you but no thank you. This experience is why we don't go out to eat anymore. High prices, low level customer service and low quality food with small portions will continue to encourage me to eat at home. read more

FOOD When the grandchildren come to visit Cafe Mimosa is our "go to" lunch place. The top players are the hamburger and the waffle with fruit. And when my wife and I hungry we go there on our own. My wife likes the BLT, the Fish 'n' Chips, and the Waffle with Fruit. I go for the hamburger because most of time when I order it rare it comes out rare! I like to upgrade to the Onion rings which almost always just the way I like 'em. And I like the Fish 'n' Chips too, but it's a lot of fish, so I ask to swap out one of the three fish (the expensive bit!) and replace it was an additional small amount of coleslaw. Drinks are lemonade or soda for the kids, hot tea for my wife, and I'm a big Arnold Palmer (lemonade and Iced tea) fan. SERVICE The service is regularly darn good. E.g. one gave me the idea of the cod for coleslaw "swap." AMBIANCE The only slide negative is the booths really need a seating upgrade. I'm 5' 7" and feel like a 7 year old because the seats have lost their "puff" and I feel like I need a cushion to reach the table sometimes. :-) I grew up in the 50s and 60s and this place feels VERY familiar to me.
