Mollete
Veronica L.

Do not sleep on this place. I just had breakfast here with a friend, and all I can say is WOW! Unassuming on the outside, but a total gem inside. The service is friendly and perfectly timed. The food was exceptional. I ate my entire meal of a mollete with an egg on top and a side of fruit. My friend had some eggs and bacon. The bacon was the star of her plate. The side of habañero salsa delivers just the right amount of heat. The fresh squeezed juice was perfect. I am looking forward to trying their night time restaurant too.

I came to Bubbles & Delights Cafe on a Sunday with a group of 11 girls for our girlfriends Bridal party. As soon as we walked in, it was decorated with beautiful flowers on the walls and a man singing live on a guitar. We were seated in the back in front of i'm assuming the private event room. There was a full house but spacious. We were greeted and sat, then given menu's and asked if we wanted to start off with some drinks. The waitress and all the staff were super friendly and very informative. We got some mimosa flights that were just divine, looked gorgeous and tasted amazing. We all had some of each others food and I can honestly say it was so good. Overall we had a great experience and will definitely be back.

Talk of the town, atleast through my ears. Talk of a great breakfast. Been wanting to try it for a while since it opened and just haven't had the moment until my aunt and I decided to take a brunch trip on a Monday (yes. . My work is gonna be like: "I saw that review!!). Worth it . I was craving their avocado jalapeño burger, after a late night out playing darts down the street, but something I craved just as much was the Benedict with smoked salmon. . Yummm. . Black coffee and smoked salmon Benedict with the crispy, fluffy potato's (with some brussel sprouts mixed in). . . Yum. My aunt ordered the champagne pancakes which she says: "make sure to say: it's the most fluffiest pancakes I've ever had". . . Service is remarkable. Extremely friendly . Place is beautiful, lots of tables, and some booths towards the back. Cool table and floor design. Was super busy last weekend when I showed up for another round. My friend and I went someplace else with the wait line, but glad to see this place is still popping, and will definitely check back to taste the other food they have to offer. Even try some bubbles next time. Located at the cvs center in Petaluma ( by O'rielys auto parts). So good chance of parking is expected. Staff -great. The kitchen- amazing food. In the words of a famous movie: "I'll be back"

Seriously, if you haven't been, GO! Great food with very generous portions, a beautiful venue inside, good, friendly service, what more can you ask for.

We got drawn in by Facebook ads and decided to check it out this weekend. I can't tell you guys how strongly I feel about you needing to check this place out! The presentation of food is phenomenal! The flavor!! The place is packed, and that's a good sign. But the service is on top of everything. They greeted us with a pastry to advertise the new bakery that they are opening, like any kind of good drug dealer. We got the Rome omelette and Oaxaca breakfast - do not even know where to start! The omelette is light and fluffy and full of flavor. It served with breakfast potatoes that have brussels sprouts mixed in which is a unique and delicious twist. The Oaxaca breakfast is savory black beans over corn tortillas packed with Oaxaca cheese! We're actually already making time on our schedules to come back and attack the rest of the menu. Not a criticism, just took a long time to narrow it down. Wishing I had two stomachs right now. Also, let's not forget how beautiful it is in here. The owners have taken the time to make a little place in a strip mall stand out.

On my husband's birthday, he wanted to go out for breakfast, so for some reason, we found ourselves here. I had been lurking around online reading the many terrible reviews of others that had dined here, and our own family members dined here with a bad experience as well. My question was " how many of you had issues with your order?" They replied - "everyone." Hahahah oh no... We arrived before their cook even though they were already open, but we were the first customers. After having worked food service myself, I know how important it is to have both closing shift and opening shift make sure the place is cleaned and ready for people. Neither did their jobs that day. The place was filthy. I was kicking myself for saying yes to this request, but hubby only turns 40 once. Our waitress was very nice, but the music was so loud, and again, we were the only customers, she could barely hear us. After ordering, we were left alone to ponder the disgusting floors covered in food, hair, paper, and the ceiling that looked like it hadn't been cleaned since Mary's used to be here. Despite being the only people, our food took a super long time. Once out, it was solidly average, and neither of us finished anything. The waitress brought out a ludicrously big birthday flamer which I'm pretty sure wasn't legal indoors haha, but it's the thought that counts. We definitely won't be back, not after all the reviews of the orders all being wrong, the absolutely disgusting filthy restaurant, and the very extremely average food. Unfortunately par for the course with the owner/manager Deb being the same lady with the failed pizza place over by target. Probably should look into another venture because restaurants don't seem to be a success for her.

I came in for my birthday with a friend and had a lovely time! The staff were all so kind and service was very quick. The drinks were just right, and the food delicious. The place is clean and inviting, the seats were cozy, and the music was a fun mix.

I heard about Bubbles and Delights Café and had to try it. The service is excellent, and the staff is very warm and welcoming. My husband had the loco moco and I had bacon, eggs and potatoes. We shared a side of pancakes with fresh fruit. Everything was delicious. My husband, who is not a big fan of pineapples, wasn't a fan of the pineapple mixed in the loco moco sauce. Overall, he enjoyed the dish, but will probably try something different next time. It's a big location. They have a lot of seating. It's very open and airy. Overall, it was a pleasant brunch.

This was my second visit... but now when you arrive, it has the name of two restaurants in front so it's a little confusing and disjointed at the same time ....first time 6 of us and service wasn't great... food was ok. Today my daughter got there first because they don't take reservations under 8... we were 5 and a high chair... she waited for about five minutes before someone greeted her then was told they had a big party coming in so they didn't know if there was any room. My daughter says the restaurant was empty. As the rest of our party arrived, We were finally getting a table. The music was very loud. You couldn't even hear each other talk. They really needed much more help for it being Mother's Day again service was not great. The feature wall on the restaurant is cute but the flowers all over the restaurant are just a bit much. But I was more disappointed in some of the entrees. The steak on my Oaxaca was so grisly, fatty and tough.. my dogs got a 16.99 steak for dinner.... I tried to be very quiet and let the waitress know my my steak was not great and. She got a little snotty. My daughter had bacon and eggs, toast was about a 3 inch piece of bread, not toasted or buttered she said that Country potatoes had chunks of brussels sprouts they weren't even cooked. ... chili chilies with arrabraacha steak was good, plantains were great... Conchas were lovely. At the end, she brought me my bill. I gave her my card then she returned to tell me she forgot to add all of our drinks to the bill and she had to redo my bill by then we were just done. I wanted to love this place but vote said we won't be returning ....

Enfrijoladas!

Classic Benedict with champagne Hollandaise

Bubbles & Delights Café was exactly that for me and three friends. We all agreed that this was an uplifting, delicious experience. We're a group of, shall we say, exuberant people, so being greeted with a pink loveseat with a neon pink sign above confirming that we are gorgeous kicked things off on a positive note. We immediately ordered classic mimosas, which came within 5 minutes, had plenty of bubbly, and were adorned with orchids, orange bites, and a small fruit gummy (see photo). Delicious. They brought a complementary concha, which was ample for the 4 of us to have a good pre-meal amount. Don't know if this will continue, as it's being served as a "teaser" for the bakery case soon to be added. The food was brought within 10 minutes of ordering and everyone's meals were delicious. Two classic benedicts, one Lolita (smoked salmon) benedict, and a CDMX omelet (Mexican inspired, but I can't remember the ingredients). Espresso was also on point. Lastly, the swing, also reminding us of our beauty was perfect for a second photo op. I highly recommend this place for the food, drink, and fun. (Didn't do a great job capturing everything, but have posted what I got.)

Here's a place that's been on my radar since it opened in the last few months. Taking over a spot that formerly housed Mary's Pizza Shack in Petaluma next to the 24 hour CVS and SMART train station, this breakfast and brunch spot came with some fanfare and recent press. Finally made it. I want to like this place. I appreciate the effort in the time and the passion of people who want to make a lovely spot that becomes a "go-to" destination in a town. Petaluma has some great spots with sometimes a healthy wait for brunch already -- let's add another! Sadly, it's just not to be, from my perspective. First the bubbles: it's nice to have a few different choices of half decent bubbles on the menu by the glass. I chose Chandon Brut. Note to the ownership: might be nice to have some 750 mL bottles rather than only these tiny one serving bottles. Also, you could have even a larger variety of local sparkling wines to choose from. I'd like a glass of Iron Horse, for example. While we were waiting, we were brought a complementary bread - I think conchas - with the sweet and crispy top. We were told they are looking to add a bakery. It was pleasant and had good flavor dipping in coffee as suggested. The menu has your normal brunch staples, but a few extras also. There is a page of omelettes that represent different cuisine from different countries. My daughter enjoyed the Tokyo omelette. For me, I ordered the chicken and waffles. Chicken and waffles can come in many different forms I've discovered as I've had them in different restaurants. The best that I've ever had so far are from (now closed) restaurant in Petaluma, Easy Rider. Their chicken and waffles was absolutely perfect, combining sweet, savory and spicy. I probably ordered it 50 times over a few years. I recognize each is its own -- but talking about chicken and waffles here. I have had bone in or nit and prefer boneless. I also prefer breast. The photo on the menu seems to show a boneless breast on top of a thin waffle. When I ordered, I asked the waitress how the chicken came - she really did not have a firm answer. It's almost as if they don't really have a plan for their chicken on their waffle. She said some people wanted bone in some people don't. I basically wanted what the menu pictured - which is how I think of chicken and waffles. What I received is pictured in my photos. Absolutely flattened chicken of some kind, batter fried where the batter was more than the chicken itself. And with no spice or flavoring whatsoever other than batter and chicken. Extraordinarily bland. I could not even eat it. The waffle had a flavor I did not prefer, artificially sweet. Last: no pure maple syrup at this restaurant. Please, all brunch spots should provide pure maple syrup. It is a game changer. So basically, I spend a bunch of money on a dish that I couldn't eat because it really had no flavor and had low quality ingredients. To say I'm disappointed as an understatement. To be completely clear, I was not expecting chicken and waffles like I had before. I'm not trying to compare something. But honestly, this wasn't even edible for me. Even basic chicken and waffles is supposed to be a comfort food, southern, flavorful and delicious. The bone in or bone out situation is a preference. But flavor is absolutely not a preference, it's a requirement. The staff was courteous, the restaurant was clean and presentable, there were flowers, absolutely everywhere probably even more than needed - maybe some other decor would be a nice compliment to the abundant floral motif. But as far as setting, it was all decent and good. I will say that nobody came to check on us and ask how the food was. I absolutely 100% would have sent my dish back and just asked for it to not be included on my bill. I would not have even chosen a replacement. I take my Yelp reviews very seriously. I recognize that my words can possibly positively or negatively influence a restaurant. It's hard for me to criticize good people who are trying hard. But I hope this is constructive criticism that is received well by the establishment: -Get that dish off the menu, first of all. Just don't try. It is obvious that the concept of chicken and waffles is not understood here. -Make a better waffle batter. Try a buttermilk base, perhaps, not something out of a box please. -Invest in pure maple syrup for your guests. Once again, sad and disappointed. I will drive near and far for amazing food and a dining and breakfast experience. Sometimes even an hour to go to brunch. This is 10 minutes away, and I can't even dream of going again without knowing of some kind of major change. I certainly wish them well and hopefully they have their niche audience to support their livelihood and business. And I hope they will take this constructive criticism to heart and realize that it's not coming from a bad place.

Good morning Huevos Matulenos

What a great new restaurant in petaluma! My mom and I decided to try this place out on a Tuesday mid morning, everything was amazing from the service to the food, everything was great! If you can visit this place when its during the week, theres usually no wait times and everything is smooth! The floors were beautiful and all the decor was top notch instagram worthy! The prices are very reasonable! The service was perfect, the young lady who helpped us and the entire restaurant was so kind. She told us about all the dishes they offered and took time to chat with us even though she was taking care of alot of tables. She did a great job of keeping everyone happy while keeping a smile! I loved that! She made us feel so welcomed! The food was delicious, we were immediately given a warm complimentary concha pastry! It was a great start to a wonderful meal! I had the red sauce chipaquiles with chorizo added, omg what a flavor bomb! The chips were crispy and fresh, the red sauce was really tasty & plentiful! The super nice server brought me their really spicy hot sauce and I couldn't get enough! My mom had their Good Morning, Atlantis - Huevos Matulenos which is a Caribbean classic of theirs with sunny side eggs, crispy chips, a black bean puree & lots of goodies on top like pickled onions, creama, queso fresco & their delicious fried plantains on the side! Everything was so good and I highly recommend trying one of their specials! They have a large menu to choose from, definitely something for every kind of eater! The seating is super accommodating for all sizes, they have booths & tables available. They are child friendly and I saw lots of high chairs available & booster seats! The ambiance is very laid back and meant for all types, casual and you can dress up too since theres lots of photos opts. Theres lots of cute spots for photo opportunities too so be sure to take a couple before you go! Definitely give this place a try!! 5 stars all around, I will be back!

I'm actually glad it's not closer to home, because I'd be here all the time. The portions are generous, the service is friendly, and the whole place has a great 1950s diner vibe with old photos, memorabilia, and music from that era. I had the eggs benedict both mornings, once with the house potatoes and once with the hash browns. Both potato sides were excellent. The house potatoes had crispy bits, creamy centers, and a dollop of sour cream, while the hash browns were crisp outside and soft inside. I swear I cannot make potatoes like that at home. The eggs benedict were also outstanding. Instead of a thin slice of ham or Canadian bacon, they used a real ham steak. I love eggs benedict, and these were some of the best I've had. My partner had the chicken fried chicken one morning and chicken and waffles the next, and loved both. He also shared a biscuit with me, which was very good. I was tempted by the biscuits and gravy on day two, but the eggs benedict were too good not to order again.

My lunch friend mentioned that the restaurant is owned and operated by a husband and wife team: Annette and Brian. The regulars were greeted with familiarity. It wasn't the kind of place where you're rushed for your order, nor is it a dine and dash location. The menu - both food and drink - has tantalizing options, so it's best to come back repeatedly. My Turkish Coffee arrived quickly after I ordered it, despite Annette being the only server on the floor. I enjoyed the Bocadillo too, especially the pickled vegetables that accompany the sandwich. For those complaining that the portions were small or that the prices were high, the quality of ingredients and depth of flavor are worth the cost and my portion was more than enough to satisfy my appetite, plus I left with the other half of my sandwich as an offering for my hungry twenty-something at home. If I could give half stars I'd probably rate cafe mimosa a 3.5 but am rounding up to 4 for the fast and attentive service and will have to come back and try what they specialize in... mimosas and a different breakfast option.
