Walked into Cafe Carrusel expecting lunch, left questioning whether I'd wandered into a rose parade float that had gained sentience and opened a restaurant. This place is Disneyland's fever dream, and I mean that as the highest compliment. Reservations? Don't be cute. They don't take them, and honestly they don't need to -- swing by after 1:30pm and you'll walk right in like you own the place (you don't, the roses own the place, you're just visiting). The menu is deceptively massive for a spot that looks like it was decorated by a unicorn with a glue gun and a grudge against blank space. There's even a solid cocktail list, which feels almost transgressive amid all the pink. Staff are sharp -- all black uniforms with pink aprons, like a very polite, very committed goth-adjacent flower shop. We showed up at noon and the place was PACKED, mostly with tiny humans (overwhelmingly of the "future princess" demographic). This is ground zero for birthday parties -- the staff roams table to table singing to kids like a roaming pink-clad Greek chorus. Every water glass is pink. The utensils are gold-plated, because apparently at Cafe Carrusel even your fork deserves a crown. The straws are heart-shaped. I have never felt more like a Disney princess while eating my chicken sandwich. The food itself was legitimately good, the service solid, and the whole vibe screams "we are here to have an unreasonable amount of fun." Every single surface -- walls, ceiling, probably the bathroom grout -- is covered in roses, horses, and butterflies. It's a lot. It's also kind of great. One warning: if this place ever launches a happy hour, Santa Rosa may never recover.

My friends wanted to try this place, so I came with them. The decor was definitely a bit over the top for my taste, but I can see why people like it. It's very colorful, Instagram-worthy, and great for taking pictures. The servers even wear pink vests, which fits the whole carousel theme. The menu is extensive, with everything from classic American breakfast to Mexican dishes and Asian-inspired options like ube pancakes, matcha pancakes, and Japanese soufflé pancakes. I originally wanted to order the Japanese pancakes, but after discussing my order, the server came back and told me the bakery wasn't open yet, so they couldn't make them. I ended up ordering the salmon Benedict instead. Unfortunately, I really didn't enjoy my meal. The "smoked salmon" turned out to be cooked salmon crumbles rather than traditional smoked salmon, which was very disappointing. The hollandaise sauce also wasn't very good. On the other hand, my friends enjoyed their meals. They ordered huevos rancheros, avocado toast and birria Benedict. The service was also disappointing. When I ordered the Japanese pancakes, the server repeatedly warned me that they would take 45-60 minutes to prepare and kept asking if I was sure I was okay with the wait. I told him several times that I was fine with it. He then turned to my friend and asked her the same question in Spanish, even though I was the one ordering. That made me feel uncomfortable because it felt like my order was being discussed with someone else instead of directly with me in a different language. In the end, it didn't matter anyway because he later returned and told me they couldn't make the pancakes since the bakery was closed. (Not sure they have a bakery?) Throughout the meal, he checked on our table several times. When speaking to my friend, he offered coffee refills, mimosas, and asked if she needed anything else in Spanish. With me, he would simply ask if everything was okay and start walking away. Each time, I had to stop him to ask for a coffee refill because it was never offered to me. I'm not sure if it was a language barrier, but I honestly didn't get that impression. He spoke English well, understood my order without any issues, brought me a to-go box when I asked, and even got me a small container for my leftover sauce. We didn't seem to have any communication problems. I may have just had an unfortunate experience, because my friend had great food and excellent service. That's why I'm giving this place 2 stars instead of 1. It seems like you can have a good experience here unfortunately it just wasn't mine this time.

Finally made it to Cafe Carousel. The first thing that stood out is the ambiance it's pretty, pink and definitely Instagram-worthy. Every corner feels photo-ready, making it a fun spot for brunch or catching up with friends or family. I visited with a group of eight coworkers. The food was good overall, my drink raspberry truffle latte was so good. Service was friendly, but with a larger party, it felt like our table could have used a bit more attention and preparation.I'd come back for the experience and to try a few more menu items.

This restaurant captures the cute brunch photo op appeal, clearly putting effort into capturing this cutesy style throughout the restaurant and patio. Tasteful music plays in the background mostly pop. Family friendly with a nice menu selection for "little riders". Restrooms are unisex and parking was easy with options on street side or parking garage across the street.

This place is great for girls parties of all ages ! Dates ! Girls night out ! Mother's Day ! And all around pink unity ! The bar is great for men and woman ! The birra tacos were on point and the silverware and place is really clean ! The owner and the servers were all very friendly ! It's really outside the box ! Who doesn't love taking pictures now and days ! Great place for cute and happy photos ! Nice quotes on the wall that are inspiring ! We need more love in the world like this ! Latina/ latino owned and operated ! I myself as a business owner can see why this is revolutionary and one of kind! This place should be on T.V.! 100 stars ! They also do back pack drives for children ! They help the community in so many ways ! You can't help but smile when you are in this cafe !

I had the opportunity to attend Café Carousel's grand opening, and I left genuinely impressed. From the moment I walked in, it felt like stepping into a beautifully curated experience. The pink décor is absolutely stunning and every detail of the space is thoughtfully designed. If you love aesthetically pleasing brunch spots, this one definitely delivers. The grand opening was such a vibe! A live mariachi band brought incredible energy to the room, champagne was flowing, and the bartenders put on entertaining flair shows that added to the fun. It wasn't just a meal, it was an immersive experience. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made everyone feel welcome. Now for the food... everything we tried was delicious! You can tell they put just as much care into the menu as they did the atmosphere. Whether you're planning a girls' brunch, celebrating with family, or just looking for a fun place to enjoy great food, Café Carousel is a spot I'd absolutely recommend. It's the kind of place where you want to linger, take photos, enjoy the entertainment, and soak in the atmosphere. Congratulations to the team on such a successful grand opening. I can't wait to come back!

new huge space in downtown santa rosa with explosions of pink everywhere. fun for brunch and to take your kids as it is family friendly. they serve in the morning and dinner from 4-10 pm. Food and drinks is tasty but looks like service is lacking and not knowledgeable of what they are serving.

Tried this new brunch spot with the girls and had such a great experience! We walked in around 11:30 and there was about a 30-minute wait, but we were able to grab seats at the bar while we waited. It ended up being the perfect way to start brunch--we ordered a few of their fun drinks to share, and they were delicious. Once we were seated, we shared several dishes so we could try a little of everything, and every single thing was amazing. The food was fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth the wait. A big shoutout to Monica, who took great care of us at the bar, and Maria, our server, who was friendly and attentive. We even got to meet the owner, who was so sweet and welcoming. She took the time to chat with us, and we had to get a picture with her before we left. Great food, fun atmosphere, and genuinely kind people. We'll definitely be back!

This is the newest addition to the downtown Santa Rosa food scene... If we are talking about trying to up the game in creativity, ambience, attention to detail, service, and exquisite food, Café Carrusel fits the bill The chile relleno omelette was scrumptious and big enough to share! Now we need to come back and try EVERYTHING else on the menu!! "Breakfast is a meal, Brunch is a Culture!"

I was really excited to try this place because of all the hype, but it was honestly DISAPPOINTING. After waiting so long to be served , the avocado toast and the chilaquiles both came very soggy and lacked any texture or flavor. I also ordered the breakfast burrito, which is supposed to come with chorizo, but mine didn't have any at all. It felt like an important ingredient was completely forgotten. Overall, I don't think the food lived up to the hype, especially for the price. Hopefully they pay more attention to quality and accuracy with orders in the future.

I really like how to receipt was also pink! But overallI really liked the service and the ambiance! I also met the owner and she was very kind. Food also lived up to expectations and I love how everything is pink and feminine. Would recommend trying

Food was good, prices were a bit crazy. 5 dollars for a soft drink is a little crazy and 8 dollars for an orange juice is insane. Service was subpar, seemed like everyone in a rush even though it wasn't busy. The ambiance was nice, really popped. There is a surcharge for groups of 5 or more which was never disclosed so that was a little disappointing that it was almost 30 bucks extra on top of everything.

    Monica D.

Such a cute addition to the breakfast scene! The atmosphere is adorable, and despite how busy it was, the staff stayed friendly and attentive. I really appreciated that they weren't short staffed and were more than happy to take photos for guests it made the experience feel welcoming and personal. We ordered the green chilaquiles, an omelette, a latte, and the Mexican hot chocolate. The drinks were absolutely delicious, and the food itself was flavorful. My omelette wasn't made exactly as ordered, but it was still tasty, so I wasn't bothered enough to send it back. The only downside was the wait. Our food took about 50 minutes to come out, and unfortunately, the stack of pancakes we ordered never arrived. That said, it was clear they were very busy, and I noticed the owners were out on the floor helping the staff and interacting with customers, which says a lot about how much they care about their restaurant. Overall, it was a positive experience, and I'm looking forward to coming back once the initial rush settles down. I think this place has a lot of potential, and I'm excited to give it another try!

With all of the options around it is sometimes hard to pick a place to go on a Saturday morning. Jeffrey's is a charming, family friendly establishment that is attached to a small inn off Highway 12. Other inside is pretty small, but they do have some outdoor tables. The interior has some lovely art on the walls as well as positive phrases making you feel like you're home. The service is also great here, and I feel like I've seen the same folks working here for many years. My wife and I ordered two different Hashes to share. The Brussel Sprouts and Bacon Hash is fantastic, which has this blue cheese aioli that gives the dish so much flavor. The Brussel sprouts seem like they're steamed and then tossed in the hash with sautéed diced onions, bell peppers and bacon. The aioli is on the side, but just adding a little bit to each bite gives it so much extra. We also ordered the special of the day which was a Smoked Chicken and Butternut Squash Hash. It has some of the same elements of sautéed onions and bell peppers, but this was served with a cilantro aioli. This dish, while not as amazing at the other Hash, was still really good. My daughter ordered the Buttermilk pancakes (added blueberries to them) with sausage and eggs. She certainly enjoyed them!

Food: Needs work. Ordered the Eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were on point. Absolutely perfect. The champagne hollandaise was a fun twist but couldn't save the meal. The English muffin might have been hard track. It was paper thin and I had to saw through it. Ham had no flavor at all. I don't think it was ham. Maybe thin sliced and unseasoned pork but not ham. Worst part was the county potatoes. They came out slightly above room temperature and hard. They're parboiled then flash fried. Not a bad way to get crisp but I can only assume they do this ahead of the rush and then they sit in a container to be served. My wife ordered her's extra crispy and they come out much better. Coffee smelled and tasted like an ashtray. Overall, I wanted to like this place and the service itself is amazing, but the back of the house needs some work.

In my opinion, there also wasn't nearly enough whipped cream. I definitely expected more for $17. Second of all, it was NOT cooked through at all. It was literally dough. After that, I completely lost my appetite and didn't want to order anything else. For $17 I expected it to be the best waffle of my life. Instead, it was the worst one I've ever had. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it.
