    Ortega chile omelet

Ordered DoorDash this morning. Food was delivered fast, packaged well and tasted great. Food was fresh and had a plentiful serving. Omelet was tasty with perfect touch of spice. Definitely want to give some other items a try!

This is our usual spot for breakfast when we visit Santa Rosa. The food is always on point. This time we both got sandwiches. I got a turkey and avocado sandwich on sourdough with a side of sweet potato fries. So good and fresh! The fries were crunchy just like I like them. My boyfriend got the BLT with regular potato fries. The ladies here are friendly and fun! It's very quaint and cozy place and always clean. The bathrooms are also very clean. They are located in a shopping center with plenty of parking. The prices are super reasonable.

I've been here quite a few times over the years since it's close to my home. It's definitely not my favorite, but it's serviceable for a quick, okay breakfast. The service is always quick and friends. It's standard diner set up, but always clean. The pancakes are probably the best item. My kids love the Mickey Mouse pancakes. The bacon is over crispy. Hash browns are bland.

My Sister Deborah took me to Lita's Cafe for breakfast. We've been there before but it had been a few years. The first thing I noticed was how quaint and welcoming you feel when you walk in. We were greeted by a very nice young lady with a nice and friendly smile named Diana. She showed us to our table and presented us with the menu. She asked if we wanted to start our morning with a breakfast beverage. We decided on having a mocha coffee. The selection on the menu was impressive! It wasn't an easy decision and it took me a moment to settle on the Lita's omelet and a glass of cranberry juice. Sis decided to try the Ortega Chile omelet with gluten-free toast l. The food arrived very quickly. The portion is a good size and everything was absolutely delicious, including our mochas! All in all, I am very glad we decided on Lita's and look forward to our next visit. As a side note, anytime the leftovers you bring home from the restaurant look and taste just as good the next day, is a blue ribbon winner!

Excellent service and great food! Homemade sopes were great! I will come back if the opportunity arises!

    Weekday special
    Melissa L.

Came in for breakfast during the week. Looks like they have a few regulars and the wait staff knew them by first name. I ordered their weekday special which came with two eggs, choice of protein, choice of bread, and home style fries or hash browns. Sometimes I just have a hankering for the classics breakfast plate. Everyone tasted well and I had no complaints. My husband ordered the loco moco. He said it was ok no thrills. Service was great and felt well attended too! Their menu had a lot of other good looking things.

My wife and I had breakfast at Lita's Cafe today. I had the breakfast burrito and my wife had the New York steak and eggs with country potatoes. The steak was very thin, underwhelming and over cooked. Not seasoned well. I'd give it a 2 out of 10. The breakfast burrito however was very good. 8 out of 10. The fresh tomato pico on the side was delicious! I'd go back for sure.

Great family run business and good food with excellent service. My coffee cup was never empty. Quick service and nice employees gives this restaurant a very pleasant place to eat,and a warm feeling of a family establishment.

Great food, casual ambience with quick service. The waitress was constantly checking the table and refilling the coffee. Prices are reasonable.

Serivce was amazing! Welcoming from the moment we opened the door. We have a list of all the places we have tried biscuits and gravy and we make notes, 9/10 recommend. Daughter had the croissant breakfast sandwich, she is a foodie and she said *chefs kiss* Fiancé had the chicken fried steak, same response! Hand browns were perfect. The breakfast tostada Delicious! Bonus for us it's down the street from our home and we can walk.

On the wall was a chalkboard with the list of local farmers and vendors that they used to supply their restaurant. I loved how fresh and flavorful all the food was, but I loved their collaboration with small local business owners to provide them with things like eggs and dairy. I had an omelette with spinach, caramelized, tomatoes, chicken sausage, and goat cheese. This was one of the most delicious bites I've had at a breakfast spot in a long time. We also shared an order of beignets that came with some fresh apple butter, which was to die for! It felt like taking a bit off fall weather if that makes sense. My boyfriend had some biscuits and country gravy with a side of sausage and fried eggs. He loved everything that he ate as well. He also had a bloody Mary, which was made with Soju. The flavor and quality was top notch and you hardly missed the vodka from the drink. Our server was very friendly, and he offered some insight into the quality of the Soju and the vendors that they work with. I just really loved the care that this restaurant put into not only service but the food that they're producing.

The beer took forever (we were thirsty) ‍ biscuits were ok but dry. We ordered a side of gravy which made them better. The lentil soup was absolutely delicious! Overall a good experience. We had also tried Grossman's Noshery & Bar from the same restaurant group and were happy with the food there. I also heard good things about their other restaurants, so it should not have been a surprise that we were also impressed with the food here. Food is served tapas style and honestly, all the dishes sound appetizing. On this visit, we tried a few dishes. I wish I came with a more empty stomach to try more things. We ordered their crispy maitake mushrooms, steamed local black cod, and grilled house-made lamb sausage. Everything was delicious! The crispy maitake mushrooms came with a fish sauce which gave a nice brightening note to eat with fried food. Lemon was also fried with them to help cut any grease, so overall this dish did not feel oily or heavy. The steamed local black cod's ginger scallion oil surprisingly paired very well with the black truffle pesto. It had an earthy flavor profile that was brightened by the ginger. The cod was perfectly cooked and the mushrooms soaked up all of that saucy goodness. I loved this dish! The grilled house-made lamb sausage was Thai inspired and you could definitely taste the spices in the sausage. I actually would've liked more of the tamarind BBQ sauce and basil salad on this dish to help counter the lamb's spiciness a bit, but I enjoyed the dish. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and came out quickly. The restaurant is housed in what looks like a historic house, so it was a very cozy environment. They have a patio where you could eat while enjoying nice weather. I would definitely come again if I'm in the area!

The original brew master became the co-owner when the winery left the beer business in 2003. It was then moved this location in 2004, opening as a brewpub. It's been on my list of places to visit for a while, so my wife, her mom, and I took the opportunity to stop in for a Thursday night dinner on our way to San Francisco from Fort Bragg. The inaugural double IPA (aka Imperial IPA) was made by the current co-owner at a different brewery in 1994. Double means it uses double the hops and malts, and the ABV is quite a bit higher. He then created Pliny the Elder (ABV 8.0%) in 2000, recognized as the most famous DIPA. The track continued, with Pliny the Younger in 2005, a triple IPA (using triple the hops and malts with ABV of 10.25%). This version is available once a year in the spring, since it costs so much money and time to make. With so much malt being used, a large amount of time (and hops) is needed to balance. I've had Pliny the Elder in bottles before, and really liked it: I don't like the hoppy 'piney' taste in my beers, but also recognize that not enough will make the beer too sweet (which I've been facing with a lot my island beers lately). Parking is street only, but there was a lot of it, with the metered parking only requiring payment till 6 pm. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and immediately seated at a table near the bar. As expected, it was quite loud, with after work folks having a good time. We got menus, ordered our food, and then decided what to do about flights. The brewery is also known for their Belgian style and thus offers two different flights. It was my first time, and didn't know how much my wife could help, so decided to order the California Sampler (a selection of 12 different West Coast 5 oz. pours of ales and lagers for $15.45) to start: O.V.L. Stout (Old Vic Loyals) - Irish nitro stout - really beginning to love stouts, and this one was good. Velvet Glow - lager - solid. Ending up buying 6 pack to bring home ($12.99) STS Pils - pilsner. Bought a 6-pack for $12.99. Russian River Porter - Blind Pig IPA - West Coast IPA Happy Hops - Juicy IPA Mosaic Stack - West Coast IPA SimCoe 25 - West Coast IPA Citra Flash Mob - West Coast IPA Mind Circus - Hazy IPA DDH Pliny the Elder - really good. bought two cans at $5.99 each. Pliny the Elder - the original Felt pretty good, so decided to order the Belgian Sampler (9 different for $13.63), Surprisingly, I didn't like it nearly as much (my favorite fruit beer during this trip was the Howzit Punch beer). Petite Robert - table beer Little White Lie - Belgian White Robert - saison Perdition - biere de sonoma Damnation - golden strong ale Mortification - quad Supplication - sour brown ale Intinction - barrel aged pilsner Consecration - sour dark ale In terms of the food, it was solid. The 8 pc chicken wings ($17) were good, and the cheesy garlic bread ($10) was filling. I had the meatball sandwich ($16) and upgraded the fries to a spinach salad (+$4): it was tasty, loved the toasted French bread and marinara sauce, with the meatballs being OK (tasted from frozen)...loved the spinach salad with strawberries and blue cheese. We finished off our meal with a Vinnies (co-owner) sundae: good vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and a lot of almond slivers. Payment was at the table, and me being again very pleasantly surprised at how little the flights were (a typical brewpub where they charge $3-$4 per 5 oz, would have cost 4 times as much...though of course I wouldn't have drunk as much either).
