I think inside was a bit busier so they didn't check on us that often - When we did ask for things, we did get them fairly quickly Food: - Bagel & Lox: interesting dish since it was basically deconstructed and you had to build it yourself. Comes with a very small amount of smoked salmon that isn't enough for both slices of the bagel - Burrito: tasty and quite filling. Lita's is good & I've been going here for years but have now moved out of town so it's easier for me to see the prices ratcheting up as i only make it once or twice yearly now. $40 is just too much for two easy-to-make adult breakfasts. Before my two boys grew up I was a single parent and there is no way I could have treated them out to breakfast once per month at these prices. Come to think of it, there were no kids present this visit on Sunday morning when we went. The food is good but sadly I think we'll have to look for more reasonable options. You should try it at least once though to see what you think. read more

My Sister Deborah took me to Lita's Cafe for breakfast. We've been there before but it had been a few years. The first thing I noticed was how quaint and welcoming you feel when you walk in. We were greeted by a very nice young lady with a nice and friendly smile named Diana. She showed us to our table and presented us with the menu. She asked if we wanted to start our morning with a breakfast beverage. We decided on having a mocha coffee. The selection on the menu was impressive! It wasn't an easy decision and it took me a moment to settle on the Lita's omelet and a glass of cranberry juice. Sis decided to try the Ortega Chile omelet with gluten-free toast l. The food arrived very quickly. The portion is a good size and everything was absolutely delicious, including our mochas! All in all, I am very glad we decided on Lita's and look forward to our next visit. What a hidden gem Lita's is. We came here for brunch today, it wasn't too busy. The menu has so many delicious options. We got the New York steak and eggs, We ordered the steak well done with scrambled eggs, and hash browns. The steak was tender, it was just missing some flavor. The eggs were scrambled perfectly. The hash browns were crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. First time trying the loco moco, the gravy was a little thick, but it was so flavorful. First time eating at Lita's Cafe, it was everything I'd hoped it would be and more! My party wanted breakfast but I was more in the mood for a hot sandwich and French fries so we thought to check this place out. I'd never known it was here had it not been for Yelp, tucked away in a shopping center, one of those hole-in-the-wall places only locals know is a great find. There were at least four pages of menu options to choose from. Everything from typical favorites to some more unique items like quiche. I wanted to change the bread selection for my sandwich which the server happily accommodated. The sandwich was loaded with goodies and the fries were piping hot. So many places are charging $16+ for just a sandwich nowadays, it's nice to find a place that includes a side for less $. The decor was light and bright with watercolor paintings surrounding the dining area. Great outdoor patio seating and plenty of parking. No wait on a Saturday morning and although they were busy, our food came up fast. Breakfast may be their specialty but please don't overlook this spot as a lunch option. For $6.95 the meal was clean. The crispy bacon was not greasy. The biscuit was fluffy. The $4.70 glass of fresh squeezed orange juice tasted like it was made many hours previously. I decided to try this new place because my coworkers kept raving about it. My coworkers explained how all of their food tasted homemade I thought, " how could it be that good?" it was my first time trying it, and I could not say I was disappointed. It exceeded my expectations and everything was quite literally perfect flavor wise!! the girl serving us was so helpful and so sweet. I wish I would have checked their hours of service beforehand because I went in at 1:30 and they closed at two. She did not make me feel rushed nor did she serve me below perfect food I hope to come back soon ( at an earlier time ) because i know how annoying it could be to have someone dine in 30 min before close ! They have a full breakfast menu with many choices, you can choose to eat hearty, or small like I did on the "senior/childrens" menu!. The prices are reasonable. And, the cook there definately knows how to poach an egg to your specification! Mine was perfect! They even offer turkey bacon as an alternative to pork. Breakfast was great, my spouse enjoyed French Toast and I enjoyed my Chicken Fried Steak. Both our egg orders were cooked as requested and the link sausage was fresh sausage, not the frozen Brown and Serve type used by some lesser quality restaurants. This is a hidden gem in Santa Rosa. I always seem to forget about this place. Maybe it's because of the location. Maybe I have no idea what I seem to block this out of my memory banks when thinking about somewhere to go for breakfast. You know what though? This place has some real good food. I've been here a handful of times over the years, maybe a couple handfuls. Service is always outstanding. The food is never bad. The menu is fairly extensive for a small little diner in a strip mall. No, this really isn't a secret, it's always busy. There is also TV where sports are usually on (at least when I show up on the weekends). Today, they surprised me with their special...Loco Moco. They had two different styles, hamburger w/ brown gravy or Spam w/ country gravy. I chose the burger w/ brown gravy. Yes, this was very good. I hope this is put on the menu full time. Don't be put off by the outside area of the Big Lots shopping center. You cannot go wrong with Lita's. It is only open for breakfast and lunch, so don't show up for dinner. read more

Looks like an average hole-in-the-wall, but the service is fantastic, the food is fresh and delicious, and the inside is clean and gives a great at-home feel.
