Teriyaki Burger with Sweet Potato Fries
    Shaguna W.

A nice diner with a good menu. Service is exceptional. Our server was quick and checked just enough to ensure we had all we needed. Menu had a variety of sandwiches, burgers, some salads and a lot of snacks. Had the pulled pork quesadilla- good pork. My husband enjoyed it a lot. The teriyaki burger which was good. A bit overcooked but flavorful. Cabo Cobb Salad was light a flavorful. Also had a yummy, thick chocolate shake! The patio dining was great. Lots of space. A variety of different types of seating and large fans to circulate the air. A great place for a casual dine.

We came out early on a cold, rainy weekday morning. We had our little dog, so we sat on the patio, but found the outdoor space to be warm and actually comfortable even though the weather was not. I ordered one of the potato pancake meals: "loaded potato pancake" on the menu. I've got to say I think I would've been happier with just the side of hashbrowns. I was hoping that my order would've been nice and crispy, but sadly it wasn't. I wasn't too impressed with the potato pancakes. The bacon was tasty, but really chewy. I'm a crisp bacon type of gal. My husband ordered the waffle and it was absolutely delicious. The flavor was so yummy. My potato pancakes came with a choice of bread and I decided I would choose the biscuit. Big mistake. It was super weird flavored. It was a drop biscuit, not a traditional biscuit. I flagged down a server and she graciously, and cheerfully took the biscuit back and brought me rye toast. If we ever come back, it would be for the waffle alone, and that's the only reason why I gave it three stars.

Just went here yet again for brunch and delicious as always! Had a short wait for a table since it was around 11:15 am and they were super busy. Fast, friendly service and good food. Always love it here at KC's! We got the eggs Benedict Blackstone and the California Eggs Benedict. Both yummy and satisfying:-) Busy, lively atmosphere.

We rolled in ~16 deep without a reservation and they handled us like pros! The food was wonderful, and the service was even better! I ordered a "I love animals" burger, and my daughter ordered a "sassy waitress" sandwich. Both were well prepared, but what really impressed me was that they had our orders in quickly, and we were all eating in ~15 minutes time. They split the parties/checks up perfectly, and they were on top of drinks and requests the entire time. The ambiance is Americana/diner, well curated and maintained. The owner clearly takes good care of their restaurant as well as their employees. :)

Hillbilly Benedict - biscuit, sausage patty, egg, sausage gravy

Been here a few times for lunch and have always had a pretty good experience. Yesterday the husband and I decided to try their breakfast offerings. The restaurant was packed on a busy Saturday morning but we were able to snag a table inside. I love their outdoor covered patio, they have a great fire pit out there. They have a wide breakfast offering with menu items that are very unique. My husband decided on the Hillbilly Benedict (biscuit, sausage patty, egg, and sausage gravy) and I went for the Big Boss Benedict (English muffin, ham, avocado, egg, and hollandaise). Both were served with county potatoes (hashbrowns or fruit are also options). The food was delicious, however my poached eggs were way overcooked which was a big disappointment as I love a runny egg. The hollandaise was a tad thin but had great flavor. My husband loved his meal and cleared his plate. Service was attentive and friendly throughout. The ambiance is fun with lots of decor to look at. We live in Santa Rosa so this place isn't super close but it will definitely be a top pick when we're in the area.

I want to love this place! I love the ambiance, and always, the service is great! The location is lovely! But I'm striking out on the food. Once I ordered the meatloaf sandwich; it was beautiful presentation but it was dry and without flavor. It's served open face, no sauce on the bread, mashed potato's grilled onions and a BBQ sauce drizzle... each layer is dry and flavorless. Even the grilled onions don't have any flavor. The only flavor was from the BBQ sauce garnish. Today, I tried the Steak and Bleu ( tri-tip and Bleu cheese) sandwich, it comes with grilled onions again it was dry and flavorless; maybe some aioli? Or some seasoning? The tri tip was well done and then reheated in a flat grill surface from the looks of the meat. Again it is great presentation, fantastic service, but the food is bland, REALLY bland; I have tried twice in the last month.. I am afraid I won't be back, which really is unfortunate, I really wanted to love it!

Got a sourdough burger and got thru eating half and found a pube under my burger and tangled up in the onions. Pretty gross , I thought I was going to throw up after seeing it. Definitely last time I give them a chance.

Stopped here again on another Roadtrip. Hubby had his usual "I Love Animals" burger and I had the BLT. AWESOME service from Keaton. YOU ROCK!!! He should train everyone to be as friendly and efficient as he is. What a great personality! Love this place, we'll be back, had a great time!

Brunch anyone? A wonderful dining exoerience at KC's American Grill on the Town Green. I must say, the brunch was absolutely fabulous. The mimosas were perfectly mixed, the Poiche Garden Burger Benedict was delectable, and the pancakes were the perfect sweet touch to round out the meal. A perfect location for a delicious brunch experience in a charming setting. Perk: dog friendly

When you walk into this restaurant, you are thrown back into time. The decorations are very fun, nostalgic and give this restaurant a lot of character. There are so many fun-loving phrases on these pictures that adorn the whole restaurant! The restaurant has both inside and outside seating. The outside seating is covered, and there are heat lamps to keep you warm. Service was super friendly, attentive, patient, and made our experience here enjoyable! Thank you again, Katherine P, for taking good care of us! [Descriptions per their own menu. Very clever names on some of their menu items] Pulled Pork Nachos: KCs house-made tortilla chips smothered in their famous BBQ pulled pork thats been kicked up with their amazing salsa plus grilled peppers, onions & melted cheeses. Added jalapeño (extra $1) for some spiciness, but they were too spicy at all. The pork was tender but juicy. "The chips did not get soggy but stayed crispy/crunchy." Baja Fish Tacos: Crispy Icelandic haddock in corn tortillas topped with crunchy slaw & served with our own Baja sauce on the side. Served with French fries & coleslaw. Our friend enjoyed the tacos and liked the coleslaw. Freedom Dip: A patriotic version of the classic French dip, American Style. Layers of lean roast beef, Swiss cheese & tomatoes on a soft Freedom roll with au jus. Served with Freedom Fries. Our friend really liked his sandwich a lot and enjoyed this twist on the classic sandwich! Big Fish Sandwich: This one didnt get away! Super sized, crispy haddock on a roll with lettuce, tomato, and tartar sauce. Very simple and no frills sandwich. Nice crunch on this fried haddock, which was firm but cooked well. My sandwich came with French Fries. The fries were nice and crispy on the edges but soft in the middle. Perfect! Hollywood Cobb Salad: A Hollywood tradition since 1942. Mixed salad greens topped with sliced chicken breast, avocado, Bleu cheese crumbles, bacon, tomato & chopped egg. Choice of dressings - Ranch, 1,000 Island, Bleu Cheese, Honey Mustard, or Basalmic Vinaigrette dressing. This was a fairly large and tasty salad. The ingredients were fresh and delicious. The Cilantro Mango dressing was very delicious! The portion size was pretty good on all the things we ordered. My only complaint would be that it was smoky in the restaurant. It was like the kitchen vent/exhaust fan was not working that well. It was coming from the cooks making all the delicious food for us diners or takeout. Great ambiance, service, and food! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely return to try some of their other items!

Great diner serving American breakfasts. Had the crab cake benedict and it was delicious. Ask for well done country potatoes. The hash brown was a huge chunk and not as crispy as expected. There's a large outdoor covered patio and lots of seating inside. We were seated inside and I was happy we were because there were so many funny signs with an eclectic decor. Lots of parking in front of the restaurant. We went on a Sunday morning at 9am and there were lots of seating and parking spots available.

KC's is always consistent. If you have a big appetite or are hungry for any reason KC's is the best choice. They have a great menu and the food is always fresh and cooked to order. The employees work hard and are very kind. The atmosphere is great with a funky diner design, funny signs and great music. Whenever I'm in Windsor, I always have to dine in or carry out. Thank you all for running a great business that keeps me and others coming back again and again

There were four of us, and we shared a bit of everything: the beet and goat cheese salad, the steak sando, a smoothie, and a side of fries (this actually came complimentary as we found a bug in the salad but they were SO accommodating and apologetic about that). Surprisingly, the standout was their seasonal Mi Goreng--actually really good! We managed to nab a table on the dog-friendly patio, and the weather was divine. It's also right across from Lioco, which made hitting the next tasting room a breeze. Great vibe, light food, and straightforward. Will definitely be back!

I originally coordinated everything with their event planner Ally over email, and the entire process was very smooth. At first they suggested hosting at one of their sister restaurants, but when that didn't work out they were kind enough to accommodate my birthday event at Acorn Café instead, which I really appreciated. When we arrived, about half of the restaurant had been reserved for our group. It looked so sweet and festive. We had a face painter set up along the wall for the kids, huge balloon bouquets decorating our side of the room, and fresh floral arrangements on the tables. It was beautiful and thoughtful, and my guests absolutely loved the atmosphere. The aesthetic was perfect for a relaxed birthday brunch. This was more of a family-style celebration, so the space worked out wonderfully. The kids were able to enjoy themselves, and everyone felt comfortable. It happened to be raining that day, otherwise I would have loved to sit on their covered patio (which does have heaters). Still, having everything set up inside actually turned out to be perfect. The staff was incredible. They were extremely helpful and very organized. Since we had a cutoff time before the kitchen closed, they made sure to come to our tables and take everyone's orders so we could get everything in on time. I did place a deposit ahead of time, which went toward the final bill at the end. Food-wise, we pretty much ordered everything and tried a little of it all. My favorites were the lemon ricotta pancakes, tiramisu French toast, and the breakfast burger. The portions were generous, and we had so much food that many of us ended up taking leftovers home and enjoying them later. Overall, it was such a lovely place to host a birthday brunch. Great food, a welcoming team, and a space that worked perfectly for a family gathering. I'm absolutely planning to come back again, hopefully on a sunny day so I can finally enjoy that patio.

The menudo was excellent, they don't skimp on the tripe and it tasted great, especially with the chili oil at end of the buffet. The Birria was also very good and I had to try the nopales con huevos which was okay. I wish I could have the tortillas that are made in site, my wife loved them enough to wrap a few up to take home. The lasagna is hands-down my favorite item on the menu, followed closely by the menudo, and the pecan pie is absolutely phenomenal. I used to love the chicken and waffles, though it seems the recipe has changed--while it's still good, it's not quite as magical as it once was. A couple of years ago, I had a seasonal tomato salad that I still dream about to this day. The menu rotates, so I've never seen it return, but it clearly left an impression. If you're stopping in before 3 p.m. to visit the café, the golden milk is excellent, and nearly every puff pastry in the glass case is worth trying. As much as I adore this place, I do wish the prices were more affordable--especially since the food isn't explicitly organic, which makes the cost feel a bit harder to justify. I also wish the upstairs area weren't limited to VIP pricing, as it would be wonderful for all guests to enjoy the full space. Lastly, every time I've sat at the bar to eat, my service has been less deliberate and much slower. I recommend sitting at a proper table to get the full dining experience as the service has typically been really great when I was seated at a table. Overall, this is an impressive and memorable vegan restaurant that I'd happily recommend, especially as a follow-up stop after visiting the local farmers market held on weekends in the parking lot across the way.
