    Chorizo omelette w/country potatoes

Finally, made it to Piner Cafe! This place is usually busy but we were able to get a table on arrival. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. Had the chorizo omelette that was served with country potatoes and toast. Inside is clean and has sort of a hometown vibe. Service was fast and friendly. Price seemed on point and left quite full. They do charge a 3% fee for credit card use so bring cash if you prefer to save a minimal fee.

This is a basic diner next to an auto repair shop. Parking is a bit difficult as the lot is small and street parking seems to be taken by the repair shop. They were rather busy when I went. Luckily, there was a seat at the counter or I'd have had to wait. The waitress took my drink order, though it was a bit before she got back to me and I hadn't been given a menu, nor a setup, so couldn't stir the sugar in my coffee. I had bacon and eggs with hashbrowns. Everything was cooked well and came out fairly quickly once my order was place. Forgot to take pictures of the food. Next time.

When you're looking for something quick and simple, Piner Cafe is the spot to go. With smiling faces from the staff to speedy service, we loved the food and decor on the walls. There were people who were getting to go orders and they were taken care of quickly as well. This was a great experience to start my morning with my wife before heading into work.

Service was great, ambiance was classic breakfast/ diner vibes, food was very meh for me unfortunately. Just did not hit the spot. I decided to check out Piner Cafe on a random Sunday before moving. Parking was easy as they have a lot in the back and street parking. When we entered we were told to pick a table. It was around 9am and they had plenty of seating available at this time. They instantly started us off with drinks, I just ordered a water and my partner got a coffee. I also ordered a vegetarian omelette and a single pancake. My partner got two scrambled eggs with bacon and English muffin. Food came out pretty quick. My single pancake was huge, definitely a big fluffy treat there. However, I wasn't impressed with my omelette. The menu didn't exactly explain what was in the vegetarian omelette. Perhaps it was my bad for not asking, but I wasn't expecting broccoli, cauliflower, and mushrooms laid on the side. Wasn't my favorite combination in an omelette, and no cheese. :( Not a good first impression, but perhaps I'll come back to try something else since it's so close to my new house.

This is a greasy spoon style diner and we loved it so much we went two days in a row. The restaurant itself is old building that is definitely in need of a remodel but that had no impact of the yummy food and exceptional service. This place is a solid 5 stars and I can't wait to go back.

Can't have breakfast without a mimosa to wash it down!

The morning after attending a wine tasting event and enjoying a bottle of wine later that evening, my wife and I needed a hearty breakfast to soak up the alcohol. After doing a quick "around me" Yelp search, I found the Piner Cafe. The cafe had stellar reviews and the food looked delicious, so we were excited for what was to come. Upon arrival we were greeted by a small line at the front entrance. A friendly employee encouraged us to add our names to the wait list and informed us that the wait was 25 minutes. Roughly 15 minutes later we were being summoned by an employee (unfortunately I did not get her name) who seated us. She quickly provided us with water and menus. I ordered the eggs Benedict and a mimosa. Less than 20 minutes later our food arrived at the table looking as delicious as they did on Yelp. Our food not only looked the part, but tasted the part as well. It was so good that I made sure that I took time to savor each bite. Our server did a great job of attending to us without hovering. I have to mention the unique and much appreciated style of how they serve a mimosa. Instead of mixing the orange juice and sparkling wine for you, they give you a flute with a small portion of orange juice (perfect for folks like myself that prefer a higher percentage of sparkling wine vs. orange juice). We both enjoyed our meals and will definitely make a return visit whenever we're in the area. If you're looking for a good customer service experience and scrumptious food, I highly recommend Piner Cafe.

Country fried steak and farmers omelette

We were on our way to a different breakfast spot, but when we got there, it was closed and we seen this place and decided to give it a try. And it was everything ! The ambience and the seating makes it very nostalgic and cozy. But the service is great. Everyone seems very nice and happy to be at work. Which really makes a difference in customer service. But the food is what brought it all together. We ordered country fried steak and the farmers omelette. The country fried steak was crispy and had good flavor. The farmers omelette was topped with the lot of meat. They were not skimpy on the bacon like most places. The toast was perfect. And the orange slice was sweet. Although this is not where I had to attend it to come I am extremely satisfied. This was the best spot to go!

Piner Cafe is our local favorite breakfast spot! The food is always delicious and the service is great. Our favorite server is Alex, he has a great personality and quick service that keeps us coming back!

Great local diner with down home simple but flavorful breakfast options. The indoor seating area is small but cozy. Not a lot of room for large parties. I enjoyed the traditional diner feel. The food service was very quick and the wait staff was super friendly. A very down home place. I had the chorizo scramble, nice portion of eggs and chorizo to go along with the a perfectly cooked hash brown and toast! My wife had the stuffed French Toast with fruit. I had a taste, they were amazing!

Have eaten breakfast here several times since my somewhat bad dinner in 2014. Today, ate the biscuits / gravy / eggs / bacon. $14. Lots of food. Tasty. Biscuit is extra fluffy. Service person is super friendly, welcoming, helpful, prompt. I like the breakfast food here. I was told that the burgers are massive and delicious. Good enough reason for me to return.

I love this place for breakfast! It's one of my regular spots. Food is always great - consistent. Love their coffee! They are always busy! Have yet to try anything on their lunch menu. The chicken fried steak with extra crispy potatoes is my favorite!

On the wall was a chalkboard with the list of local farmers and vendors that they used to supply their restaurant. I loved how fresh and flavorful all the food was, but I loved their collaboration with small local business owners to provide them with things like eggs and dairy. I had an omelette with spinach, caramelized, tomatoes, chicken sausage, and goat cheese. This was one of the most delicious bites I've had at a breakfast spot in a long time. We also shared an order of beignets that came with some fresh apple butter, which was to die for! It felt like taking a bit off fall weather if that makes sense. My boyfriend had some biscuits and country gravy with a side of sausage and fried eggs. He loved everything that he ate as well. He also had a bloody Mary, which was made with Soju. The flavor and quality was top notch and you hardly missed the vodka from the drink. Our server was very friendly, and he offered some insight into the quality of the Soju and the vendors that they work with. I just really loved the care that this restaurant put into not only service but the food that they're producing.

The original brew master became the co-owner when the winery left the beer business in 2003. It was then moved this location in 2004, opening as a brewpub. It's been on my list of places to visit for a while, so my wife, her mom, and I took the opportunity to stop in for a Thursday night dinner on our way to San Francisco from Fort Bragg. The inaugural double IPA (aka Imperial IPA) was made by the current co-owner at a different brewery in 1994. Double means it uses double the hops and malts, and the ABV is quite a bit higher. He then created Pliny the Elder (ABV 8.0%) in 2000, recognized as the most famous DIPA. The track continued, with Pliny the Younger in 2005, a triple IPA (using triple the hops and malts with ABV of 10.25%). This version is available once a year in the spring, since it costs so much money and time to make. With so much malt being used, a large amount of time (and hops) is needed to balance. I've had Pliny the Elder in bottles before, and really liked it: I don't like the hoppy 'piney' taste in my beers, but also recognize that not enough will make the beer too sweet (which I've been facing with a lot my island beers lately). Parking is street only, but there was a lot of it, with the metered parking only requiring payment till 6 pm. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and immediately seated at a table near the bar. As expected, it was quite loud, with after work folks having a good time. We got menus, ordered our food, and then decided what to do about flights. The brewery is also known for their Belgian style and thus offers two different flights. It was my first time, and didn't know how much my wife could help, so decided to order the California Sampler (a selection of 12 different West Coast 5 oz. pours of ales and lagers for $15.45) to start: O.V.L. Stout (Old Vic Loyals) - Irish nitro stout - really beginning to love stouts, and this one was good. Velvet Glow - lager - solid. Ending up buying 6 pack to bring home ($12.99) STS Pils - pilsner. Bought a 6-pack for $12.99. Russian River Porter - Blind Pig IPA - West Coast IPA Happy Hops - Juicy IPA Mosaic Stack - West Coast IPA SimCoe 25 - West Coast IPA Citra Flash Mob - West Coast IPA Mind Circus - Hazy IPA DDH Pliny the Elder - really good. bought two cans at $5.99 each. Pliny the Elder - the original Felt pretty good, so decided to order the Belgian Sampler (9 different for $13.63), Surprisingly, I didn't like it nearly as much (my favorite fruit beer during this trip was the Howzit Punch beer). Petite Robert - table beer Little White Lie - Belgian White Robert - saison Perdition - biere de sonoma Damnation - golden strong ale Mortification - quad Supplication - sour brown ale Intinction - barrel aged pilsner Consecration - sour dark ale In terms of the food, it was solid. The 8 pc chicken wings ($17) were good, and the cheesy garlic bread ($10) was filling. I had the meatball sandwich ($16) and upgraded the fries to a spinach salad (+$4): it was tasty, loved the toasted French bread and marinara sauce, with the meatballs being OK (tasted from frozen)...loved the spinach salad with strawberries and blue cheese. We finished off our meal with a Vinnies (co-owner) sundae: good vanilla ice cream with whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and a lot of almond slivers. Payment was at the table, and me being again very pleasantly surprised at how little the flights were (a typical brewpub where they charge $3-$4 per 5 oz, would have cost 4 times as much...though of course I wouldn't have drunk as much either).
