Looking for a great breakfast place? Then look no more. Hop on the Smart train and exit at Railroad square in Santa Rosa. Surrounded by antique stores and other shops, you will find this quirky breakfast/lunch spot. My husband is always looking for the best biscuits and gravy and he claims he found it here! Upon walking in, you will see high up on the walls, the front grills on some great vintage cars. The smaller room on the right is much quieter than the larger room. If you can grab a window table it's fun to watch the passerby's. I ordered a standard eggs, potatoes and bacon. The country potatoes are perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside and soft and creamy inside. They have an extensive breakfast and lunch menu. $30 for breakfast for 2, including 2 juices. Great service, great food and a fun spot for breakfast or lunch.

It was a soggy Sunday morning in Santa Rosa. I was incredibly hungry and wanted a good diner meal. Omlette Express seemed small and sleepy from the outside. Once we walked in, we caught the live action kitchen and the amazing smells. We were seated immediately. I grabbed menus from the host stand and got to business. I ordered the mushroom omelette with a side biscuit and breakfast potatoes. He ordered the California Benedict. House coffee was refilled often. The hot chocolate made me feel like a kid again. The house salsa served with breakfast was incredible. Definitely ask for it. We both cleaned our plates. I really enjoyed watching the action in the open kitchen. People were coming and going. The restrooms are tucked in the back corner of the restaurant. I had no idea the restaurant opened up in the connecting room. Every seat was filled and I know why. This is a fantastic breakfast spot.

Tucked away in Santa Rosa is a delicious destination for egg lovers! Omelette express provides huge omelettes and sides for your taste buds! The atmosphere of this place is very homely and I do enjoy the wall decor of vintage cars. I'm definitely zapped back to a simpler time when I'm there, and I'm taken aback with how they make their food. This is a must try, I do recommend trying the sprouts omelette when you're there! Service is always there with a friendly smile, and they're quick to serve the food. This is a nice place to bring the family!

We stopped in for a late breakfast from an e-bike ride. Wow wow wow the grilled chicken sandwich was huge. Definitely get what you pay for. Very tasty. I thought it was pricey for the more simple a la carte items. Eggs, bacon and English muffin about $16. It was standard taste. If you like your toast dry let your server know because it will come out with butter. Service was great.

Homemade salsa, local Franco American sourdough and local coffee. The minute we walked in we were warmly greeted and sat right away. Our server Jess was on top of it from the get go, offering up awesome recommendations when we asked. We has the #7 Omelete and the huevos rancheros. Both were delicious, cooked perfectly. The breakfast potatoes were seasoned nicely, and had a great texture to them. The star of the show was the sourdough bread. We loved it so much we asked Jess and she directed us to the bakery that makes it, Franco American, just a couple of blocks away. We also loved the salsa, wish they sold it by the pint. All in all, a warm and inviting restaurant that is doing it right. Great food and amazing customer service. We will be back!

Ate here since the place across the street was packed. We got seated right away, and our friendly server took our order quickly. There's plenty of seating inside since it's split into two sections, and I love the fun decor on the ceilings and walls--car bumpers and all kinds of stuff. I ordered the anchovy and spinach omelette with wheat sourdough and potatoes. It was delicious, but definitely not for everyone (my friend wasn't a fan, lol).

Super cute restaurant with 50's feel. Love the kitchy vibe. Lots of old car parts on the wall. They kept a lot of the original building. I was greeted immediately and didn't have to wait to be seated. All of the tables are unique, with no matching chairs. I ordered the Sonoma omelet with gluten-free toast. The food and atmosphere was wonderful. I enjoyed it.

While we were visiting Santa Rosa we find this gem in downtown. Front of the establishment was inviting enough to convince us to dine at the Omelette Express. We were seated promptly. Dinning room was clean with old fashioned vibe to it. Menu is large contains mostly different version of omelettes. Our server was really nice and attentive. She took our order, shortly after our breakfast arrived. Very well made omelettes with house potatoes and toasted sourdough bread. All and all food was satisfying. Portions are big enough and can be shared between two diner. Coffee was decent but fresh. This place can get very busy over weekends. We will back soon.

Had a great breakfast here last weekend. I hadn't been back since my last review. I had an omelet that was loaded with chiles and bacon. Potato's were good and the bread that comes with it is spectacular. Prices were fair for the portion size but $50 breakfast for 2 people drinking water is still pricey. Overall this breakfast was one of the better ones I've had around town lately! Our server was great as well!!

Three of us came here on a Monday during a three day weekend at about 11am. The friendly hostess greeted us right away and told us to sit at any open table. There were only two open tables with four seats available plus two or three open large tables that sat six. We decided to sit near the front near the emergency exit. While choosing a table, a server almost bumped into us as she was in a hurry and then on the way to the table, we almost bumped into the same server because she turned around super fast. She looked very annoyed and growled but we had just crossed the threshold into the dining room so we didn't see her. Once we sat down, a much friendlier server came by promptly with menus and took our drink order. She came back with our drinks and took our order. Our server was very efficient and calm when serving tables around us whereas the other seemed like she had a hard time managing her load. The menu didn't have Huevo Rancheros so my husband asked for something close. The server suggested the Spanish Omelette dish with salsa, avocado mash, sour cream, and cheese with toast. I was able to order the Pacific Benedict with gluten free bread so when it arrived, I was super happy to see how the hollandaise looked over the eggs and smoked salmon. There were a lot of cooked onions. Luckily I loved onions. The food came out of the kitchen unbelievably fast which made our morning. My husband liked the omelette he ordered and my son loved the kids Cheese Omelette. They have a kids menu. Both my son and I had fruit instead of the potatoes. The fruit was very fresh. You could tell they had just cut the bananas. The restaurant is nicely decorated with the front end of old cars and the place is extremely clean without dust!!! We were impressed how they kept all the car fixtures so clean. Even the lights by the door have been dusted. We will be back on our next trip! We loved Omelette Express.

Omelette #7 and cowboy eggs Benedict
    Amelia D.

The owner greeted us on a holiday weekend as we walked into the restaurant. I liked the eggs Benedict and my partner preferred the omelette; the omelette is 3-eggs and easily split. The kitchen was kind enough to divide both of our dishes for us. Loved the cars on the walls, the vintage bicycles hanging in the back, and the news clips on the walls. I felt like I learned a bit about Santa Rosa by being there. It's also walking distance from the train, although we stayed at a nearby hotels

Wifey and I split the Pacific eggs Bene w/smoked salmon.

Used Yelp to find this cute eatery within walking distance from the Hyatt. The owner, Danwelcomed us, and Ellie served our table well. The food, service, and ambiance were a comfort. We will return.

We work in the hospitality industry and we know that it's customary to always let your customers know BEFORE they make substitutions like this it will cost extra. But in what world does a veggie substitution cost you $7.25? It doesn't require you to. Plus an extra $1 for gluten free bread without letting us know first. Also, the biscuits were not good, they had no meat or sausage in the gravy and the biscuits were sweet as if made with pancake batter instead of biscuit batter. What happened here? We had also tried Grossman's Noshery & Bar from the same restaurant group and were happy with the food there. I also heard good things about their other restaurants, so it should not have been a surprise that we were also impressed with the food here. Food is served tapas style and honestly, all the dishes sound appetizing. On this visit, we tried a few dishes. I wish I came with a more empty stomach to try more things. We ordered their crispy maitake mushrooms, steamed local black cod, and grilled house-made lamb sausage. Everything was delicious! The crispy maitake mushrooms came with a fish sauce which gave a nice brightening note to eat with fried food. Lemon was also fried with them to help cut any grease, so overall this dish did not feel oily or heavy. The steamed local black cod's ginger scallion oil surprisingly paired very well with the black truffle pesto. It had an earthy flavor profile that was brightened by the ginger. The cod was perfectly cooked and the mushrooms soaked up all of that saucy goodness. I loved this dish! The grilled house-made lamb sausage was Thai inspired and you could definitely taste the spices in the sausage. I actually would've liked more of the tamarind BBQ sauce and basil salad on this dish to help counter the lamb's spiciness a bit, but I enjoyed the dish. Staff was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and came out quickly. The restaurant is housed in what looks like a historic house, so it was a very cozy environment. We were surprised by the lemon / tangy flavor in the artichoke dip but really enjoyed it! We LOVED the mussels--this was a generous serving, and this was a great combination with the broth and sausage. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it.
