Homemade Chicken Fried Steak & 2 Eggs. Yummy!!
    Jeanette T.

The food was good, the coffee was hot and kept coming. Lil Mom n Pop cafe, they had a very nice menu with lots to choose from. I ordered a chicken fried steak, with has browns and sourdough toast. The server gave us a sample of their homemade salsa, YUMMY and FRESH! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Upon entering there were lots of tables taken.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We opted for a middle 4 seater against the wall. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The air con was on but it was pretty early and we got cold. The server kindly turned off the air con for us. It was a nice gesture.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We ended moving to another table over but then the wind from outside kept blowing in. We decided to just eat! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place was cute especially with the local artists photos and adorable salt n pepper shakers collection.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Nice people.

Chili Verde omelette with country potatoes

I'm very picky about where I eat but always ready to try a new restaurant, especially if it's recommended. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Norm's Kitchen is a cozy little diner tucked away behind Exchange Bank in Larkfield and well worth your time and effort![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I met a group of friends there for breakfast and I must say it was excellent! Service was fast and accurate and we never felt rushed. Food was very delicious and plentiful ( I had the chili verde omelette) and coffee - very satisfying! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Go early because seats fill in fast and reserve if you have a large party.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Enjoy Norm's Kitchen once and I guarantee you will come back again.

Hidden gem behind Molberry's Market in Larkfield.
    Cathy W.

A trip from Napa to Windsor found hubby and I at Norms Kitchen. It in a small strip mall behind Molberrys Market on the Old Redwood Hwy. Boy were we happy that our friend suggested this little gem to us. Entering we were greeted by a very sweet and happy young lady as she motioned to "Sit wherever you'd like". Ok! The menu is extensive, but it was 10:30 am and breakfast was our mission. Mary, our very nice server with the prettiest smile, took our order. I ordered the standard fare...2 Eggs OE, Hashbrowns, and a Country Sausage Patty with Toast and a side if Gravy. Hubby a Ham/Cheese Omlette with Hashbrowns as well. The place was crowded so it took a while for our food to arrive. Bring your patience with you cause I promise it's worth the wait!! When Mary set those plates in front of us I could hear angels singing! (SEE PHOTOS). The eggs were cooked perfectly and for a second I thought they had given me a steak? Lol! The sausage patty was huge! But the REAL hero was the Crispy, yummy Hashbrowns. OMG! I like Gravy on mine and Norms did not disappoint one bit. My husband meal was delicious too. Norms was truly a place I'd travel an hour to experience and we'll definitely be back. Thank you!

With all of the options around it is sometimes hard to pick a place to go on a Saturday morning. Jeffrey's is a charming, family friendly establishment that is attached to a small inn off Highway 12. Other inside is pretty small, but they do have some outdoor tables. The interior has some lovely art on the walls as well as positive phrases making you feel like you're home. The service is also great here, and I feel like I've seen the same folks working here for many years. My wife and I ordered two different Hashes to share. The Brussel Sprouts and Bacon Hash is fantastic, which has this blue cheese aioli that gives the dish so much flavor. The Brussel sprouts seem like they're steamed and then tossed in the hash with sautéed diced onions, bell peppers and bacon. The aioli is on the side, but just adding a little bit to each bite gives it so much extra. We also ordered the special of the day which was a Smoked Chicken and Butternut Squash Hash. It has some of the same elements of sautéed onions and bell peppers, but this was served with a cilantro aioli. This dish, while not as amazing at the other Hash, was still really good. My daughter ordered the Buttermilk pancakes (added blueberries to them) with sausage and eggs. She certainly enjoyed them!

Food: Needs work. Ordered the Eggs Benedict. The poached eggs were on point. Absolutely perfect. The champagne hollandaise was a fun twist but couldn't save the meal. The English muffin might have been hard track. It was paper thin and I had to saw through it. Ham had no flavor at all. I don't think it was ham. Maybe thin sliced and unseasoned pork but not ham. Worst part was the county potatoes. They came out slightly above room temperature and hard. They're parboiled then flash fried. Not a bad way to get crisp but I can only assume they do this ahead of the rush and then they sit in a container to be served. My wife ordered her's extra crispy and they come out much better. Coffee smelled and tasted like an ashtray. Overall, I wanted to like this place and the service itself is amazing, but the back of the house needs some work.

Not only was I satisfied, I am exhilarated to report the expertly seasoned flavor, golden crisp texture and assortment of syrups, fruit and whipped cream all played a role in this master piece. Bonus - there's no risk of cross contamination because gf is the only option. Excellent choice. The Santa Rosa omelette had me at the goat cheese (one of my favorite combinations is eggs and goat cheese) but the chicken sausage was the star of the show. Chilaquiles with red and green salsa was perfection, too. The texture of the chips was on point; it is a HUGE serving, easily 2.5 meals a bit sooo good. Hashbrowns are insanely delicious and perfectly seasoned - no salt needed! Chai made expertly by our server was the best we've ever had z no notes. Cold brew w/their house made vanilla syrup was splendid!! Syrup was also great on the waffle.

First of all, since it was $17, I asked the server how big the waffle would be, and he reassured me that it would be large, thick, and filling. It looked nothing like that. In my opinion, there also wasn't nearly enough whipped cream. I definitely expected more for $17. Second of all, it was NOT cooked through at all. It was literally dough. After that, I completely lost my appetite and didn't want to order anything else. For $17 I expected it to be the best waffle of my life. Instead, it was the worst one I've ever had. My husband ordered the Breakfast Burrito with Bacon and green sauce. He said it was just ok. He couldn't say anything good or bad about it. The service was good. Our server even comped the entire bill, which was very kind of him and we really appreciated it. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is because of our server. The food is bad and extremely overpriced. We will not be back.

My boyfriend and I ordered wine, the artichoke dip, mussels, tagliatelle, 1/2 chicken, and bread pudding. There was a good variety of wine to choose from and the waitress was nice enough to give me a couple samples before ordering a full glass. We were surprised by the lemon / tangy flavor in the artichoke dip but really enjoyed it! We LOVED the mussels--this was a generous serving, and this was a great combination with the broth and sausage. The tagliatelle was clearly homemade and fresh, and the sauce was flavorful but light; the only thing I would change is the amount of peas / pea flavor. The chicken skin was perfectly crispy! Lastly, the bread pudding was literally baked fresh to the point where we almost couldn't order it. The staff told us it would be a bit of a wait, but when it took a little longer than expected, they continued to check in on us and whether we still wanted to wait. It was definitely worth it! It wasn't as sweet / cinnamon-y as other bread puddings that I've had, but was moist without being soggy and felt like a true homemade recipe. The ambiance was casual yet intimate, and despite being busy, didn't feel crowded or loud. We also appreciated that the wait staff didn't rush us out!

My hubby got the corned bread hash topped with 2 eggs as you like and cheddar ($19.50). He loved it and ate the whole thing.
