When you are craving a good old homeschool diner breakfast this is where you should immediately go. It's warm and fuzzy and makes you feel good. Also, they just redid all the boots inside and they're very comfortable and attractive to look at! Very good homemade salsa!

Drove through the area with my brother-in-law who loves going to diners, so we decided to try the Skillets Cafe. It turned out to be an excellent choice. It is a cozy little restaurant with the classic diner vibe. It's lunch time, so we had lunch food rather than breakfast. We had a Cheeseburger, a Skillets Melt, and a Buttermilk Pancake. Everything was delicious and portions were generous. Even the sides such as Potato Salad and Fruits tasted great. The fruits were very fresh. Service was excellent: friendly and attentive. We were checked on frequently by more than one waitress; and all of them wore a big smile. They really knew how to make customers feel welcome and appreciated.

The staff is super friendly and the food fresh and tasty. It's simple breakfast food done right. It's close to the airport and makes a great stopover if you're looking for an expansive menu with high quality ingredients at a reasonable price.

I love a good diner! This is a good one! Locally owned and operated. Great service, good food and cozy too! One of the few times I remembered to take a picture before digging in and ruining the photo op!

Skillets Cafe has a relaxed vibe to it and is an amazing place for both breakfast and lunch. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. We were warmly welcomed and the people here were the friendliest and nicest people ever! The service was excellent and the food came out quickly after ordering it. The food was delicious and made me wonder why I don't eat out more for breakfast! The portion sizes are generous, especially for the prices. We truly loved everything about our breakfast experience here from start to finish! Highly recommend and we will definitely be back!

The service is what brings us back! The waitress already knows what we are thinking before we even say it. We love it here! The food of course is delicious. You can be in and out with a fully stomach in no time. Small outside area but it's a must stop breakfast spot!

We had breakfast here on a girls trip to Windsor. We were not disappointed. Their scrambles were amazing. The crunchy potatoes on the bottom were spot on. The mushrooms and cheese and egg and spinach. All made this a fantastic dish. I'd love to go back and try more things and you should go to.

Oh my gosh!! Order the crispy fried potatoes!! I got the Irish Benedict and it is out of this world delish. Others got the burrito and California Skillet, both were delicious. Definitely visit here!!

This place is awesome! We were in town for two days and went both days because the food was so good! They have really great hours especially for early risers and the customer service is excellent. It has a diner feel and is very cozy. The skillet was so good my husband got it both days and my eggs Benedict were so amazing I had it both days as well! Yum! Can't wait to go back!

Americana (with wheat toast, chicken apple sausage, hashbrowns, and scrambled eggs)

The food is great at skillets! I also go for the Americana, it is quite a lot of food so come hungry. The staff are always friendly and the atmosphere is great--feels like a classic, cozy diner.

Breakfast tacos with chorizo

Was able to be seated immediately around 8 am on a Thursday. There was only one server working but they hustled and made sure you are taken care of. This place is a more modern diner so it's fine just feels a little sterile. I decided to go with the breakfast tacos and they were good just nothing ground breaking here. The hashbrowns were fine I just thought they could have used some more flavor. But the thing that left me wanting more was the diner coffee. That traditional diner coffee that is like a nectar of the gods for weary travelers and the hungover alike, but this coffee... was too watered down and didn't smack me in the face with the traditional bold coffee diner experience.

Wow! I can't say enough great things about Skillets...it came highly recommended from the locals, we came right in we're seated and greeted by a friendly waitress. She made me feel so comfortable and walked me thru the menu with great patience. I ended up getting the yummy American skillet and my husband LOVED the Southern skillet. I wish we lived nearby because we would be regulars!

Breakfast quesadilla

This is a regular go-to spot for us. Outside dining area is nothing fancy, but the food and servers never disappoint. They have an extensive menu of breakfast items, burgers, wraps and salads. My favorite is the breakfast quesadilla, (scrambled eggs, cheese, ham, tomato) and hash browns. We also ordered the chorizo scramble with hash browns and wheat toast. The food is always excellent. The employees are efficient, hard working and pleasant. They are always busy, rain or shine. Plenty of parking shared with other businesses and Raleys. They close at 2:00 daily.

The move to the new Mill Street location has elevated the Quail & Condor experience significantly…read more The space is exactly what Healdsburg needed: open, airy, and modern, yet it manages to retain an intimate vibe that doesn't feel like a cavernous warehouse. It's a stunning backdrop for what remains some of the best baking in Sonoma County. As for the food, it remains predictably--and exceptionally--amazing. A few highlights from this visit: * **Ham & Cheese Croissant:** Perfectly laminated with that elusive shatter-crisp exterior and a savory, high-quality center. * **Veggie Quiche:** Often an afterthought elsewhere, here it was custard-like and rich, accompanied by a surprisingly delightful, bright side salad. * **The Sweets:** Both the OBG (Oatmeal Brown Butter Ginger) and the apricot cookies were standout treats, balancing texture and nuanced sweetness. * **Baguette:** A masterclass in crust and crumb; it's a must-grab for the ride home. * **Cappuccino:** Precisely pulled and well-textured, easily competing with the dedicated third-wave coffee shops in the area. The service was polite and welcoming, though it leaned a bit toward the slower side. However, given the quality of the output and the inviting nature of the new space, it's a minor concession. If you are looking for top-tier pastry craft in a beautiful setting, this new iteration of Quail & Condor is an absolute win.

When you walk in, there is a lot of open space and the inside felt comfortable. There was an open and flowing environment. That was great! So, where did it go wrong? The prices were just sky rocketed into another dimension. $7 a muffin and $7 a scone. I seem to have much better luck at the Farmers Market for less. I get it, there is a fancy building that needs to be paid for. Don't come here for dairy free option if you're looking for something in the sweet and savory department. There are GF options but those are still rittled and laced with butter and dairy. Like, bread is your only choice if you're dairy free. The gentlemen that helped me told me to get a loaf of bread. So I did. $12. I went with the Rosemary, olive oil and sea salt focaccia bread. The good news is, it was nice and soft like an Air b n b pillow. The bad news is, it had more salt than the ocean. With copious amounts of olive oil saturated the bag before I left the parking lot (see attached pic). My husband was not a fan either and we left the loaf of bread out for the pigeons.

There were four of us, and we shared a bit of everything: the beet and goat cheese salad, the steak sando, a smoothie, and a side of fries (this actually came complimentary as we found a bug in the salad but they were SO accommodating and apologetic about that). Surprisingly, the standout was their seasonal Mi Goreng--actually really good! We managed to nab a table on the dog-friendly patio, and the weather was divine. It's also right across from Lioco, which made hitting the next tasting room a breeze. Great vibe, light food, and straightforward. Will definitely be back!

I originally coordinated everything with their event planner Ally over email, and the entire process was very smooth. At first they suggested hosting at one of their sister restaurants, but when that didn't work out they were kind enough to accommodate my birthday event at Acorn Café instead, which I really appreciated. When we arrived, about half of the restaurant had been reserved for our group. It looked so sweet and festive. We had a face painter set up along the wall for the kids, huge balloon bouquets decorating our side of the room, and fresh floral arrangements on the tables. It was beautiful and thoughtful, and my guests absolutely loved the atmosphere. The aesthetic was perfect for a relaxed birthday brunch. This was more of a family-style celebration, so the space worked out wonderfully. The kids were able to enjoy themselves, and everyone felt comfortable. It happened to be raining that day, otherwise I would have loved to sit on their covered patio (which does have heaters). Still, having everything set up inside actually turned out to be perfect. The staff was incredible. They were extremely helpful and very organized. Since we had a cutoff time before the kitchen closed, they made sure to come to our tables and take everyone's orders so we could get everything in on time. I did place a deposit ahead of time, which went toward the final bill at the end. Food-wise, we pretty much ordered everything and tried a little of it all. My favorites were the lemon ricotta pancakes, tiramisu French toast, and the breakfast burger. The portions were generous, and we had so much food that many of us ended up taking leftovers home and enjoying them later. Overall, it was such a lovely place to host a birthday brunch. Great food, a welcoming team, and a space that worked perfectly for a family gathering. I'm absolutely planning to come back again, hopefully on a sunny day so I can finally enjoy that patio.

I ended up ordering the smoked salmon toast, which had cream cheese, cucumbers, amazingly high quality smoked salmon, capers, pickled shallots, and it was supposed to have microgreens, but they were out so, they put avocado on top on levain bread. It was seriously delicious. So fresh and high quality, portioned perfectly for lunch. As I get older, I kinda just want a well-portioned lunch that's healthy. I love my greasy heavy options every once in a while, but for 'everyday fare' - you want something that is good, high quality and doesn't weigh you down. This is perfect for that! With everything so expensive nowadays, I'd rather pay a decent price for something high quality and well portioned... there's so much mediocrity out there, it makes me tired thinking I have to pay $20 for lunch nowadays and it's not even that good. ... Might as well stay home and heat up a trader joe's frozen meal. :P But sometimes, I don't wanna do that! So for those days, I guess I'll be coming here to try another menu item. Plus, the cafe is cute, and a place you want to sit in and eat your food, making it comfy. And I like comfy! I need comfy, nowadays. Glad I found this hidden gem!
