My parents are creatures of habit, and so they asked me to find a different spot for breakfast. We tried Skillets, and were very happy with the results. The eggs were well cooked, the portions generous, but not overwhelming. More than that, they had a nice variety and the potatoes were excellent in all their iterations. Not soggy, not over or undercooked, and that is a true test of a breakfast place. There was a touch of a wait on a Sunday morning, but I think that's to be expected. Service was polite and quick. My dad has a walker, and they were kind and found a place to store it while he ate, and made sure to help him with the door when we left. This is a small, cozy, space hidden in plain sight. It has a wonderfully warm environment and seems to pack up quite fast. I came in with a table of five (5) and only waited about 10-15 minutes with a seemingly full house. The waiter was relatively attentive and kind. Wait for food was also not bad, waiting about 15 minutes. I ordered the Florentine Benedict. The plate was a quaint, fresh delight. There was a hint of missing seasoning which would have been nice. The tomato and spinach added a freshness that was guite enjoyable. The egg was also cooked perfectly, with a fluffy, light flavor, and texture. I'm not a big fan of green onions which this plate has a substantial amount of, although not breaking the dish entirely. The hash browns were the star of the dish, toasted the perfect amount with a softer inside. The portions of the dish was overall okay. As someone who eats a little more than the rest, the dish wasn't entirely filling. I do see it filling someone with a smaller or average appetite. I also ordered a plate of the french toast, an adequate dish overall. The french toast was an adequate size, coming with two slices and a small side. I substituted the side option for another side of hash browns (yes, they were really that good). Pricing was also very affordable (considering other options) with the most expensive dish costing around $18.75. They also have a nice Kids menu with equally great prices. The food overall was good and I was satisfied with the meal. I do see myself coming here again, although probably not a first choice. read more

Decided to come here and help local businesses and staff during the somewhat reopen on restaurants. Walked in with my two boys, and girlfriend. We were emediatly sat down at a booth, with plexi glass barriers between booths. The place was clean and the staff was very friendly and busy at the time. Now for the food, I ordered the southern skillet and an Ice tea for my drink. My girlfriend decided on the eggs Benedict. When my plate arrived I was blown away by the size, and after my first bite the flavor did not disappoint as well. It was pretty much chicken fried steak cut up, with all the fixings you would get at a restaurant when ordering chicken fried steak meal. Except all I'd a skillet, the green onions were a well welcomed addition. The ice tea was just how I like mine when making it at home, a good ice tea seems hard to come by these days. Just today 8/13/25: I hadn't been to Skillets in awhile and decided it was a good place to take to take my dad and husband for brunch. I remember the food being really good so I was happy to check it out again. Service was great and very friendly and attentive. The place is relaxing and roomy enough for a wheelchair. We received our food timely, however, mid-way through my food, I took a bite of my spinach and mushroom omelet and I felt sickened as it went down. I wasn't sure what happened or why, just that it made me sick. I couldn't eat anymore of it. Now, hours later, I'm still feeling nauseous. I'm hoping it won't get worse. I'm truly disappointed. Maybe it was just a fluke, but I do wonder what the heck was in that omelet. The bad thing is, I may not be able to go back, which makes me more disappointed. My husband's and dad's food was fine, so they probably would have rated it a 4 or 5. read more

Skillets was an UNCOMFORTABLE experience that felt discriminatory and questionable thanks to Pam. Ambiance: I came to Skillets with the expectation of good food and service. I called ahead of time as it was New Year's Eve and they said that it was a small wait. When I came to the restaurant the servers glared at me and even gave me a look of what do I want. I said I needed a table and she said it would be a moment. I waited a few minutes and then the server said just sit there. She didn't motion to a table just said to sit there. It was clean and the booth chair has seen better days as it caved in. Service I ordered a hot chocolate and she basically tossed it to me. Three tables sat after me and they all ordered and it wasn't until I started pointing at the other tables that a server came over. The people working there continued to stare, glare, and act unkind and unapproachable. I watched as they checked on table after table making conversation. It was an uncomfortable experience. Food I ordered a side of country potatoes, pancakes, eggs, and toast and waited over 15 minutes. The country potatoes were bland and needed salt and pepper. Honestly a McDonalds hash brown would have been a better option. The toast was toast and you can't really go wrong with it. The pancakes were very basic and bisquick would be a tastier and cheaper option if that. I questioned the total because before taxes it was $35 and my total was $47. There was no point to argue as she input her own undeserved tip. You're welcome Pam, and thank you for exposing your establishment as greedy and unwelcoming. How is it that it took me so long to eat here???? The food here is amazing!...to start with, the waitstaff is super friendly. It looks like they are enjoying their job and actually want to make the diners experience a great one. The menu is your typical breakfast menu of eggs, omelets, pancakes, French toast, Sandos...all with a touch a Skillets to it (Which btw, they have skillets entrees). I had a turkey sandwich which sounds simple but man did it have major flavor! The bread is not just toasted, but coated in a garlic, Parmesan and butter which is toasted to a nice crisp. The avocado was slightly warmed in the middle and to my surprise, I really enjoyed it! I also had a chowder soup which was absolutely delicious and paired well with the sandwich. Skillets Cafe is at this level. The staff was all very friendly and you can tell that they have built relationships with their regulars. They have a lot of variety of their breakfast and lunch foods. The quality of the breakfast tastes fresh and not overly greasy. The omelet I had was so tasty, my hubby loved his French toast and even my kiddo finished the whole plate which says a lot. All this and the price is right. We recently went to a place where all their breakfasts were priced at $19 a plate. Like who charges $20 a plate for breakfast???!?! When you're hungry time is everything! Skillets' menu had plenty to choose from for breakfast or lunch. Since I was feeling breakfast I went with the Mushroom Omelette with hash browns & toast. No complaints from me as serving size was quite filling and tasty. Service was also very good as our server periodically checked on us to see how we were doing. Came during lunch to check things out. Seating seems somewhat limited, but it wasn't busy at all when I came in. The service checked in frequently and water refills were on point. I had gotten the veggie omelette with avocado added and sourdough toast. The omelette was good, and the avocado added plentiful. I'd say I just wanted more veggies in it. The hashbrowns were decently crispy. Clean and simple, nothing wrong with it. Not much of a wow factor on that end though so it depends on what you're looking for. Quaint, lil breakfast spot near Healdsburg. It's in a strip mall, next to a grocery store, with plenty of parking. Service was great. We were sat immediately upon arriving. Our server was super sweet and took good care of us from start to finish. My southern skillet was pretty good. The chicken fried steak was crispy, the potatoes could've been crispier, tho. I had the eggs over easy, versus scrambled in, it was bomb. Topped with a biscuit and some gravy, bacon and green onions, okurrrrrr. Also had the banana and cream waffle to share with the table. It was delish, but the middle of the waffle was soggy by the time we ate it, so maybe don't wait for it to be dessert, or get the cream on the side. All was good.
