Walked into Black Oak Coffee expecting a cup of joe. Left questioning my entire relationship status, because I think I'm now dating a peanut butter mocha. The indoor space greets you with ceilings so soaring you half expect a choir to descend and start harmonizing about espresso beans. The ambiance makes you want to stay well after you've actually finished your drink. My friend, a certified drink connoisseur, insisted I order the peanut butter mocha. I did. It ruined me. This drink walked in, introduced itself, and immediately filed for a permanent spot in my life. Love this place! The drinks are always delish never disappointed. One drawback if you're thinking of staying inside is that it gets so loud in there. FEB2026 We stopped in real quick for a caffeine fix after eating brunch close by. The space is open with a lot of locals and visitors going through. Throughout the time, there were a number of people waiting. The space is pretty open and streamlined for people moving through, though it can get somewhat congested depending on how many people are waiting. Service was great, they were able to answer any questions that we had and help with suggestions for what to get. 1/5 Apparently, posted business hours are just a suggestion at Black Oak Coffee. I'm beyond tired of showing up during their advertised operating hours only to find that they've decided to close early. This isn't an isolated incident--it's a recurring problem, and it's incredibly frustrating. If you advertise that you're open until a certain time, then STAY OPEN UNTIL THAT TIME. Customers plan their days around your posted hours, drive to your location, and expect you to actually be operating when you say you will be. Apparently, that's too much to ask. What makes this especially irritating is the complete lack of consistency. Why should anyone bother making the trip when there's no guarantee you'll even be open? Running a business means respecting your customers' time, not expecting them to gamble on whether you've decided to close up shop early. Either honor your advertised hours or change them to reflect when you actually intend to be open. It's really not that complicated. Until Black Oak Coffee figures out how to operate on a consistent schedule, I'll be taking my business somewhere that actually values its customers' time. read more

Service was friendly and fast, coffee was off the charts good! I had my normal hot almond milk decaf latte. The flavor was so unique! Almost had a slight licorice / anice flavor. I don't know how else to describe it. But seriously the best latte I've ever had, and if you read my reviews, you know I'm no novice! Also had a yummy potato, cheese, and egg burrito. Located near the square, Black Oak is quite popular in the morning. A line isn't an unfamiliar sight. If you can find a table, you should be able to order via QR code. So efficient! They've got some great combos of teas, coffee, desserts, breakfast sandwiches and more. We enjoyed our cute matcha lattes with the foam leaves. That breakfast burrito with the bacon, egg, and potato was inhaled- so delicious with that side of green sauce. Such a pleasant coffee breakfast spot to dine in. I was in the area as a visitor and wanted to get some local food and coffee before I head home. I found this local place on Yelp. The place was busy and very clean. They offered outdoor and some indoor seating. I ordered a lavender latte and egg and potato burrito. The latte was good and not sweet at all. The burrito was not the best. Even with the sour cream and salsa on the side I felt the burrito was not seasoned well and fell flat. I would not be ordering any food from this location if I were to come back in this area. Black Oak Coffee Roasters is a popular and busy shop located in Downtown. Nice place with a lot of tables and seats to relax and chill. The staff is friendly and nice. I tried their signature mocha. Peanut Butter: dark chocolate, peanut butter, and a touch of sea salt (3/5). I am glad I tried one of their specialty drinks though I thought it was ok. You could taste the dark chocolate and peanut butter which I love but this drink was ok. Be warned, it has 4 expresso shots. I was also eyeing their seasonal Raspberry Mocha. Next time. This place made a good impression from the beginning. Pleasant, great interior space with plenty of room for seating and great decor. Very clean and bright. Full restroom. Outdoor seating area. Coffee: excellent, the latte foam was so thick, and the coffee tasted heavenly. Sent an email to Black Oak's customer support last week and 7 days later, still no reply. Cellular is sketchy throughout Healdsburg.so WiFi is helpful to use Black Oak's online site to order. I spotted Black Oak while wandering in the plaza, and went the next morning. I had heard good things about Black Oak's other location from a friend, and I'm glad I went to this spot! There was a crowd, but the line moved very fast with the place well staffed and a combination of counter and QR codes to place your order. Staff were especially energetic and friendly despite the morning crowd. Interior has warm wood decor and is well lit. Most of the space is for standing around the order counter but there are some tables inside, along with the plaza outside, as well as the alleyway seating, for plenty of spots to enjoy your coffee at. There's some bicycle stands outside on the sidewalk too. Coffee itself was great. My partner and I both got lattes and we really enjoyed them. I got the chai latte: perfectly balanced with warm, aromatic spices and just the right amount of creamy sweetness. My partner got the lavender latte and she loved it. Delicious espresso and americano: nutty and toasty. Not acidic or fruity at all. We just do black or with some cream. There are tons of coffees to choose from. Black Oak is one of my favorite Sonoma County coffee shops. I have been up to their original location in Ukiah, but I'm very glad they have one in Healdsburg! I had a friend who was visiting from the East Coast try all my favorite local coffee shops. He is basically the most picky person I know when it comes to coffee. He said that Black Oak's light roast Geisha pour over was the best he had not just in Sonoma County, but possibly anywhere. I would also agree that their roasts are particularly good all around. I actually love their Duomo brew, it's one of my favorite roasts to do at home. They have a nice, seasonal menu during the year. Their Pumpkin Spice latte is fantastic! The service here is always very friendly and helpful. I love how open the coffee shop is and it is always packed with locals and tourists. It is well lit and the tables are comfortable. My only complaint is they only have one bathroom. Love this place! Come check them out! read more

I've stopped in twice to have pourover coffee and they always pour a delicious cup, regardless of whether you want it hot or cold (and yes, they will adjust the ratios to account for the ice). Awesome and super knowledgeable baristas and honestly, quite an exceptional selection of single origin and specialty beans, including a Colombian Gesha. Don't be afraid to tell the barista what types of coffee you normally drink and the flavor profile you're looking for and they'll help you select the best coffee and suggest some modifications to the brew to help achieve the profile you like. I have yet to visit another coffee shop with this level of knowledge and expertise as it relates to pourover coffee. Highly recommended and just off the main plaza so super convenient to get to. The only challenge is parking can be somewhat difficult in the area when the weather is nice on the weekends. read more

Giving it 4 stars instead of 5 as we had to sit outside, even though it was a bit chilly out, because there isn't tons of indoor seating. Might be one of my favorite cafes in Sonoma County, they have really unique seasonal lattes I haven't seen typically offered at other places. So I ordered their roasted Thai latte and it was great! Didn't think I'd like the hint of corn with the sesame but it works! I'd love to come back and test how their matcha is too.
