Super cute spot. It almost felt like I walked into someone's kitchen. The assortment of pastries, cookies, biscuits, pies- oh my!!! There were serving Guatemala as drip of the day. It's light to medium the tasting notes say nectarine, honey, and milk chocolate. It was really good. For the delight my husband and I picked the savory pie. Luckily they had corner prices so we could taste the crust, which was buttery, flaky, and delicious. There are pretty cool breakfast options too. Needless to say this is a for sure return for us. The crowd coming and out is validation of a cool spot. It would not be right for me to miss an opportunity to shoutout their team. The man that helped us did everything to make our experience great. I'm in Healdsburg all the time but had finally tried this spot before hitting the road back to the Bay Area.. Indoor and outdoor seating, we fell in line to get some coffee and breakfast to soak up the leftover wine and other alcohol in our systems. I got a plain black coffee, the egg and cheese bagel with "sausage," and my friend got a biscuit sandwich. It was a busy kitchen, and a busy interior. The layout seemed like I could walk right into the kitchen, so wasn't sure which part was for employees or which was for customers. LOL Just wow. I got the bagel sandwich with a jalapeno bagel. Let me tell you, this bagel sandwich and the biscuit sandwich were massive. Massive. It lasted me 2 meals. What's even more impressive is if you didn't tell me the sausage was not meat... I stopped into Plank Coffee in Healdsburg a few times while SCW and I were staying in the area. I looked at the reviews and walked over from our hotel. I was glad I did. The entrance is nice and the interior has some tables to dine in as well as some outside. The menu is written all across the sides and back of the establishment and they also have some by the front before ordering. I got SCW teas a few times while going here which they have a great selection of both caffeinated and non caffeinated herbal teas. I ordered the vegan BLAT once which was really good. All the veggies were fresh, the bread was great and the tempeh was delicious. On a different trip I got a green smoothie (forget what it's called) and it was amazing. They have lots of vegetarian and vegan options which I really appreciate. The employees are so kind and helpful, it really adds to the positive experience. I like that all of their to go containers were recyclable or compostable which where I live is not nearly as common unfortunately. I highly recommend Plank Coffee Healdsburg. While not the best bagel in the world, I appreciate it being home made. The sandwich itself was huge and filling with cream cheese, avo and a bounty of fresh micro greens. I felt healthy eating this bagel. When do you get to say that? The vegan bran muffin was solid. The honey latte was tasty with wonderful hints of that local wildflower honey. This massive biscuit would be perfect to share; especially since it's comes with 3 different butter flavors to try. I decided to stop at Plank Coffee on my way to work because I was craving a bagel. I am so glad I did! It was my first time visiting. The inside of this coffee shop is so cute, and warm. It's definitely cozy, however still ample of space. I got the Joe Zee bagel, which was perfect. The tomato's were so fresh and literally melted in my mouth with each bite. I also for a green juice, and it was delicious and not bitter at all. It was balanced in flavor, and just sweet enough. I think I found my new favorite coffee shop! I love this place for several reasons. In my opinion, the coffee is the most important thing at a coffee shop, so I will address that : The coffee is good. If you get an espresso-based drink, it tastes like coffee. So many coffee shops make lattes (even cappuccinos!) that taste like coffee flavored milk. Plank consistently delivers good coffee. Now let's get to the GREAT! Their avocado toast is delicious. I am an avocado toast connoisseur, as I have it almost every single day of my life, and they do it right here. Normally I don't like a little salad on top of my toast, but for some reason, it works here. Special mention that there are edible flowers on top as well. I just scrape the salad off and eat it on the side. It's very lightly dressed with a delicious dressing. I typically order it with an egg, and they always cook the egg just as you request. The avocado is not avocado spread. (The worst!), and the bread is great. It's a little hard to pick up and eat, more of a fork and knife meal. If you like avocado toast, you won't be disappointed. Now to the AMAZING: the walnut chocolate chip cookie. I know this is a bit dramatic but I think it is my absolute favorite cookie... Maybe ever? They are lightly salted on top, and, while they're not undercooked, they've perfected the timing to take them out of the oven at the exact right time between undercooked and crunchy. Side note: I do love walnuts, but I know a lot of people hate them. If you're one of those weirdos (jk I know I'm the weirdo!) try a different cookie. I've also had a chocolate chip, peanut butter cookie here, which I liked, but the walnut chocolate chip is the best! They are pretty big, so I always share, but I could...and would....and HAVE...eaten a whole one. When I come to Healdsburg, I have to come here, no matter what! read more

All the various coffee drinks I've tried over the years here are meticulously crafted and satisfying, the coffee itself of super high quality. The food items are all vegetarian or vegan, and while sometimes I do hanker for meat, I know in advance I won't find it here and am prepared. All Plank's food items are "home" made and yummy, I can't say you won't miss the meat, but I will say you'll likely find their offerings delicious. These folks are doing things right. read more

They had a beautiful display of various pastries at the front with name plates for each item. I asked the barista for a latte recommendation and she recommended the Bangkok latte, described as similar to a Vietnamese latte with condensed milk, and the Cinnabang, which is similar to the Bangkok latte with a touch of cinnamon. I settled on a hot 8 oz Cinnabang latte, which was perfect for the overcast fall day. I felt that the cinnamon was well incorporated into the drink. It is definitely on the sweet side, but not too overwhelming. I also appreciated the foamed milk adding a light, airy mouthfeel to the latte. My boyfriend usually doesn't like flavored lattes too much, but he kept stealing sips off of mine. Dear Yelp Community, Visited for the first time this month passing through the area. I must say, rising early and experiencing the stillness and colors of dawn while the staff is busy inside getting ready before opening the doors was a neat experience. Once those doors were unlocked, multiple people were already outside waiting, and I was first in line at the register. Staff was very friendly, and patiently explained the menu since I was looking to eat something vegetarian this time. I ordered the avocado toast, which was great. The inside ambiance was cosy and warm with wood and plants as key décor. I stayed inside because was warmer, although there is plenty of seating outside (one just outside the door, and the other some steps away in the parking lot). Got my Friday Fuel today: a smooth latte with whole milk (they offer a variety of milk alternatives) plus an egg & cheese bagel sandwich to refuel after a hard workout. Boom! Plank now makes their own bagels (as of very recently). I'm from NJ and love a good boiled and baked bagel. While I don't know if they boil their bagels, my bagel was toasted and had a nice texture. I went crazy with a Jalapeño/Cheddar bagel - enjoyed the extra pow of flavor today. Will shake it up and try sesame or everything next time. Inside the bagel: a two-egg organic slab and sharp cheddar cheese. You can add spicy mayo if you want. No spicy mayo for me but I did add greens for $1. The sandwich is flavorful and filling! This place is awesome. We stayed at a hotel a short walk away. We saw the reviews and just had to try it! Walking in, you are immediately greeted with a relaxing environment. You are welcome to come in, have a seat to relax or even to get work done. The food display shows the seemingly endless amount of bakery selections. After a short but stressful consideration of what to order (stressful because there are sooooo many options), my wife and I were promptly greeted by the staff. I opted to order the Nitro Cold Brew and "The David" bagel. It was a toasted jalapeño Asiago bagel with cream cheese, delicately sliced avocado, sliced hard boiled egg, Maldon salt, and a drizzle of spicy mayo. What an absolute treat it was! My wife ordered a basic cream cheese on a plain toasted bagel. She described it as really good and you could tell it was homemade. She ordered chai latte topped with fresh nutmeg. She loved it to the last sip. We will definitely be back here the next time we are in Healdsburg. Or maybe even tomorrow! read more
