Although we come to Healdsburg often, we never found this cute brunch spot until this past holiday season. We happened to be driving by on the way to the Skunk Train and stopped by for lunch. There is a variety of sandwiches you can eat on site as well as a grab and go from their refrigerated section. We went for the seasonal turkey and brie served with fresh chips, both surprisingly delicious for a sandwich that I was tempted to get another to go. I had my eye on the Lemon Ricotta Hotcake topped with ice cream, yes, ice cream. Instead of butter, you get to enjoy it with ice cream slowly melting over your hotcake, making each bite heavenly. I did move the scoop to the side so it wouldn't melt as fast and I can taste the velvety ice cream on its own. Since it was the holidays, I could not resist getting a caramel apple cider which was warming without being overly sweet. With outdoor seating outside, would love to come back during the summer for leisurely brunch. read more

Cute brunch spot in Healdsburg! You order at the counter and they'll give you a buzzer to wherever you seat yourself. Food came out pretty fast. The shakshuka is really pretty with it coming out in a small skillet. Kinda wanted a bigger slice of sourdough but no big deal. More of a lighter option but I also wish I ordered the Benedict instead for a heartier choice. The lemon ricotta hotcake is easily the highlight! The lavender ice scream isn't overly sweet and the floral flavor profile comes out well, the oat crumble adds amazing crunch to the thick and fluffy hotcake. Get this for yourself or to share. I came here after constantly driving by Acorn Cafe on over the weekend and loving how cute it was outside! This is an order up at the counter then find a seat kind of place. The staff was so helpful in explaining the menu and answering any questions we had about the food available. I ended up getting the parfait which was excellent and had some really fun fruit and toasted coconuts! They had plenty of seating both inside and outside with the outside having both heat lamps and a built in fire feature. I can't wait to come back and try the Juju's menu because it also looks incredible! read more

If I lived in Healdsburg, I would eat here all the time. I only had breakfast, but it was enough to make me a fan. It's a very low-key place; you order at the counter, then find a table. While I don't love the rush-rush feel I get here during the ordering process inside at the counter, the food is worth the fuss! I've been for " brunch" twice and the Shop Local Bacon Benedict is outrageous! Journeyman butcher shop is right around the corner from this cafe and they are the best in the area. Their bacon is amazing not only on this Benedict dish but also at home on a BLT sandwich. Being GF, there aren't too many options on the menu so I passed on ordering as I wasn't in the mood for anything available. Was a decent line but moved quick. Order first then grab a seat at prepared tables. Lots of indoor/outdoor space. Servers will provide silverware, water, and buss tables once leave. Friends got some items and this is their review of the items; harvest salad- good flavoring but was expecting it to be warm, steak sandwich; steak meat should be thinner making it easy to eat but was good and came with crispy crunch chips; the beet & goat cheese salad was delicious; and the banana matcha** strawberry was not so **strawberry flavored, strong coffee. Came to Acorn Cafe and really enjoyed it! Also loved that they use the inkind cash pay system which was a nice little perk for Valentine's weekend. Boyfriend and I shared the shakshuka and the lemon ricotta pancakes - a little savory, a little sweet. The shakshuka was spot on! It was well spiced and the combination of fire roasted tomatoes, peppers, and onions was delightful! The pop of freshness from parsley and scallions was also really nice. I also enjoyed the creamy notes from the goat cheese and the special guest, pistachios. The poached eggs were cooked separate and featured the perfect runny yolk. We could have used more bread though. We had to order hash browns later on to finish the dish. As for the pancake, it was so fluffy. The lemon was evident and the fresh scoop of lavender really hammered home that farm to table freshness for me. I also really enjoyed the honey granola clusters which added a fun texture to the dish! We stopped here on the way back to San Francisco, and it was such a gem. Great food, amazing coffee, and really friendly service. The space is cozy and welcoming, with outdoor seating right next to the park. We ordered the huevos rancheros and the açaí bowl, and both were great (one of the best açaí bowls we've ever had!). We were visiting a friend, who took us to Acorn Cafe for lunch. What a cute place! A beautiful patio greets you first when you approach the cafe. The indoor seating is no slouch. Open and airy, it's a very comfortable place to dine. I got the fried chicken sandwich and the lavender lemonade. Others in the party got the grain salad bowl, and corned beef Reuben. The lavender lemonade is a beauty! Blue butterfly pea infused syrup does magic when mixed with the lemonade and turn into a gorgeous purple. However, I don't recall tasting any lavender. The food was really delicious. The fried chicken sandwich is quite dramatic and easily reach 6-inches tall. I decided that deconstruction was necessary to attack it. The pickled carrots and diakon was a nod to a bahn mi and paired well with the sweet soy chicken fried hard. I like the hard, but it would've been challenging to eat it with the bun. The Togarashi chips were extra crispy and generous. The grain salad bowl was hardy and it seem like it was a salad that went on and on, in a good way. The corned beef Reuben was good. The Togarashi chips that came with it stole the show. The staff was very helpful with the menu and in bringing us our food. We really enjoyed Acorn Cafe and would love to come back. read more

One of the best places we ate on the way up to North to Eureka. Wish we would've stayed in Healdsburg lol. The granola was perfection. You can tell it freshly made, wasn't stale at all. The pastries were delicious. I can't remember what we got, but there was something with chocolate or chocolate chips I believe. I wish we would've eaten something like lunch. I visited this place on the fourth of July and it was still a wonderful place to visit despite the crowd there was. The lemon ricotta hotcake was delicious with a soft lemon flavor and a good creamy texture. I expected the ice cream to taste strongly like lavender but instead tasted like a mixture of lemon and vanilla. I also expected perhaps a side or 2 but it comes solely with the hotcake, still very pleasant! But the real show stopper was the banana latte they offer. Absolutely delicious! I recently celebrated my birthday brunch at Acorn Café, and it ended up being such a special experience. I originally coordinated everything with their event planner Ally over email, and the entire process was very smooth. At first they suggested hosting at one of their sister restaurants, but when that didn't work out they were kind enough to accommodate my birthday event at Acorn Café instead, which I really appreciated. When we arrived, about half of the restaurant had been reserved for our group. It looked so sweet and festive. We had a face painter set up along the wall for the kids, huge balloon bouquets decorating our side of the room, and fresh floral arrangements on the tables. It was beautiful and thoughtful, and my guests absolutely loved the atmosphere. The aesthetic was perfect for a relaxed birthday brunch. This was more of a family-style celebration, so the space worked out wonderfully. The kids were able to enjoy themselves, and everyone felt comfortable. It happened to be raining that day, otherwise I would have loved to sit on their covered patio (which does have heaters). Still, having everything set up inside actually turned out to be perfect. The staff was incredible. They were extremely helpful and very organized. Since we had a cutoff time before the kitchen closed, they made sure to come to our tables and take everyone's orders so we could get everything in on time. I did place a deposit ahead of time, which went toward the final bill at the end. Food-wise, we pretty much ordered everything and tried a little of it all. My favorites were the lemon ricotta pancakes, tiramisu French toast, and the breakfast burger. The portions were generous, and we had so much food that many of us ended up taking leftovers home and enjoying them later. Overall, it was such a lovely place to host a birthday brunch. Great food, a welcoming team, and a space that worked perfectly for a family gathering. Really good place for a delicious fast breakfast. When we walked by, they looked like they were packed, and there was a long line waiting to order, but they do everything quickly. You order at the counter, and then your food is brought out to you. Our coffees came out first, and pretty much a few minutes after we sat down. My friend ordered the seasonal muffin, and so we ate a few bites of that before our food came. I got the breakfast burger, which was delicious, though having the sunny-side egg on top made it a little messy. They did ask me how I wanted the burger cooked, and I said medium-rare, and it was probably closer to medium-well. Fast, friendly, and efficient. This place is busy for a reason. Came here during a girl's birthday weekend right after getting massages at A Simple Touch (it's a super easy walk!). It was the perfect pre-wine-tasting lunch. There were four of us, and we shared a bit of everything: the beet and goat cheese salad, the steak sando, a smoothie, and a side of fries (this actually came complimentary as we found a bug in the salad but they were SO accommodating and apologetic about that). Recently visited Acorn Café after an early morning flight into Santa Rosa airport. Right in downtown Healdsburg, this restaurant is known for their brunch and they have lunch too. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you, and they bus your table as well. So it's casual but not entirely self-service. There is also a grab-and-go fridge if you don't have time to sit. Seating inside is a little loud but their patio is large and lovely. I got the Tiramisu French Toast, as well as a side of hashbrowns and eggs. The hashbrowns were particularly delicious. The french toast was good, but I thought the greens on top were odd. I might suggest a pistachio crumble for a similar color but a different texture! Overall a lovely spot for a quick bite or a lengthy brunch with a group. I had some of the best breakfast I've ever had at acorn cafe! My party of 3 had no issue getting a seat on the patio late Saturday morning. I had the 'shop local' Benedict and my mom and husband had the plaza plate with bacon and chicken sausage. We all split the lemon ricotta hotcake. My Benedict was perfect, 10/10. The brown butter hollandaise was delicious as was the journeyman bacon. I'm a big potato gal and loved the mixed potato breakfast potatoes. I never thought to add sweet potato with purple and regular potatoes but the sweetness worked so well. The potatoes were perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The hotcake was delicious. The lemon curd was nice and tart and the lemon lavender ice cream was such a unique flavor addition. All the flavors worked so well together. My mom and husband enjoyed their dishes and I tasted his chicken sausage which was juicy and flavorful. Everything was perfect. We stayed an hour away but this spot was close to our first tasting of the day. We arrived after the breakfast rush and had the place mostly to ourselves. I ordered the breakfast plate and subbed potatoes for fruit. The fruit was fresh and crisp. The eggs were soft and creamy. The sourdough had a nice nutty taste - made even better with a light smear of butter and jam. The bacon was crispy but still rich and fatty. My wife had the tiramisu French toast and said it's the best breakfast dessert she has ever had. The iced vanilla oat milk latte I had was one of the best I've ever had. We were so in love with this breakfast spot we tried to rearrange plans on Sat and Sun to go back, but we couldn't. Our mimosas were top notch - not too much OJ which can be the case many times. Beryl took great care of us today at our lunch. What a kind person he was. As I walked in, there was no line, I ordered and went hunting for a table. We waited for our food and moved because the A/C was blasting and my kids were uncomfortably cold.
