Shrimp

Incredible! I had no idea this place would be THIS good. Every single thing we had was amazing. The matcha fries! The tacos! The shrimp! The cocktails! Each one was so filled with flavor I couldn't pick which one was my favorite. If you're in the area for wine tasting this place is a MUST. Food: 5 Service: 4.9 Ambiance: 4.8 Marcels foodie score: 4.9

Kimchi noodles with shrimp

Vibrant atmosphere. The indoor area was a bit loud for my liking. No issues with the service. Waiter was very attentive. Lots of great bar selections. Diverse bourbon list. Oysters were good. Cucumber salad was a generous portion. It had a curry flavor which we did not care for. I did not like the pea shoot salad. Kimchi noodles with shrimp were delicious. Chicken tendies were also very good. Overall - 4.5

Kimchi pasta - must try

I really enjoyed the asian fusion dishes & their happy hour drinks! Dirty martini was perfect & the vodka soda was actually so good! Our server was great & very attentive. Our fave dishes were the brisket fries, korean ribs and kimchi pasta. Amazing food & really cute inside! Duck confit was a little dry but other than that, we loved the food!

We were looking for a spot to eat in Healdsburg recently. The Asian fusion restaurant Lo & Behold Bar and Kitchen came up highly regarded during our online search. We dropped in a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch recently during the Christmas break. The restaurant is located in a very nice area in bustling downtown Healdsburg, California. Parking is accessible on the street all around Healdsburg square and a nearby parking lot. The beautiful modern decor was bright and vibrant. I enjoyed the cozy and welcoming atmosphere. A spacious patio in the back looked lively with heat lamps and tables all around. There was a full bar with high tops that looked inviting as well. We ordered 2 sangrias and a glass of Chardonnay wine from the happy hour menu. For food we shared deviled eggs, riblets, macha fries, and kimchi noodles. Everything was delicious. The sangrias were sweet and refreshing. I particularly enjoyed the deviled eggs which were scrumptious and the riblets were juicy and tender. The unique kimchi noodles were flavorful. Overall we enjoyed our experience at Lo & Behold. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I thought the complementary bar snacks of wasabi peas and pickled veggies was a nice touch. The daily happy hour is a bonus. We came out impressed and hoping to be back next time we're in town.

We found this place when we all decided we were hungry, needed it to be dog friendly, and had heaters since it was a chilly day. So we walked in, the staff seemed more excited about the dogs than us -- which we totally understand. We got a bunch of things: - Cucumber Salad - 9/10 - Pea Sprout Salad - 8.5/10 - Mushroom Eggrolls - 7/10 - Pork Spareribs - 8/10 - Kimchi Noodles - 9.75/10 - Tacos - 10/10 As you can see, their food tends towards the higher end of the ratings. Or whole table of 5 people agreed that this place was special. Our server also tells us that the menu changes often so I'll definitely have to come back whenever I'm up this way. Highly recommend!

Ever feel late to the party? I've had this restaurant on my "to try" list for such a LONG while and then ended up here twice in one week! First visit was a brunch with my girlfriends, second was a date with my hubby and BOTH visits to Lo & Behold delivered an exceptional dining experience. The service, from host to bar to dining room, was incredible and everyone was engaging, professional and friendly. I was surprised how packed it was by noon on a random Monday! We had reservations (which initially I scoffed because ...well... weekday) but I'm glad we did! I ordered the Brazen Burger with fries and it was all delicious! The bun looked disproportionally huge but was so good. Soft, griddled just right, and never overwhelming. The house-made pickles added the perfect balance to the meaty burger, and I didn't miss having a sauce at all. The fries were crispy, and I happily stole some of my friend's L&B ranch for dipping. Since it was raining the first time and we sat indoors, I was clueless to the incredible outdoor patio which is where we sat the second time. Great atmosphere with ambient lighting and cranked up heaters which kept us cozy all night. Hubby made reservations for Saturday night and so glad we did! The place was ABSOLUTELY packed. We scored a couple seats at the bar while we waited and loved the engagement with both the bar staff and the patrons to our left and right. It was just so comfortable. (And honestly, if we'd wanted a quieter, just-us experience, we could've had that too.) After some back on forth on the unique cocktail options, I ordered Field of Dreams, hubby chose (multiple pours) of Inman Family Pinot and both were a perfect start. For dinner, we shared: Curry Deviled Eggs - Ugh, so good! Simple Salad - Ironically, anything but "simple"! Much bigger than anticipated. Almost Famous Chicken Tendies - Buttermilk-battered, very crispy, varying thickness on the coating but all the chicken was juicy... and again, those pickles! Fusion restaurants aren't for every diner but even my picky husband enjoyed his choices! This place is such a great find, and I can't wait to return. I've just started to scratch the surface on Lo&Behold!

My husband and I had dinner at Lo and Behold on a Friday night and enjoyed a nice meal on their back patio. The outdoor area is really pretty. It had great atmosphere with good lighting and heaters. I ordered the pollo a la brasa, which was pretty good. The chicken was moist, well-seasoned, and the sauce was also good. The fries were just okay for me. would've liked them a bit crunchier. My husband liked his tenders. They were just okay to me. Service was good overall. Our food came out quickly, which was a plus.

Amazing service! Great food! Nice place to eat and hang out! Overall great experience! Yes, I would live to come back to eat here in the future.

I enjoy the drinks at Lo and Behold--the cocktails are definitely on point. However, I found the food to be a bit lackluster. Nothing really stood out, and there wasn't anything on the menu that made me want to come back specifically for the food. That said, I would return for the drinks only.

Went to Lo & Behold with coworkers for a fundraiser before a business dinner, and it was such a fun spot. The tiki bar vibe is strong--inside is cozy and dim with banquettes and tables, while the patio outside has plenty of seating and a great atmosphere. The cocktails were fantastic--creative, flavorful, and on the stronger side (pace yourself!). Prices were about average for a tiki bar, and the fact that they were supporting a fundraiser made the experience even better. Service was excellent: staff was friendly, quick, and attentive without hovering. Overall, a great place to unwind, and I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town. Highly recommend!

Duck egg rolls with sweet chili & hot mustard dipping sauce
May L.

Lo & Behold in Healdsburg has a cozy, stylish atmosphere with an easygoing wine country feel that immediately makes you want to settle in and take your time. I ordered the duck egg rolls, which were good, but the mustard dipping sauce didn't quite hit the mark for me. I was hoping for something more punchy and Asian hot mustard-forward, and it felt a bit muted in flavor. I also had the kimchi noodles with added chicken. The noodles themselves were delicious and well-seasoned, and the addition of water chestnuts gave a nice textural balance. Unfortunately, the chicken tasted burnt, almost as if the marinade caramelized too much during cooking, which resulted in a bitter note that distracted from the dish. Service was friendly and welcoming, and overall the menu feels thoughtful and well-curated. I'd absolutely love to return to try more dishes and explore their cocktail program, which looked great. Definitely a spot with a lot of potential and one worth revisiting.

Mushroom pie

This restaurant/bar has really outstanding food. We made a reservation through Open Table for dinner. We were seated inside near the large bar area. They came out to ask what we wanted pretty quickly, though definitely took a few minutes to figure out what we wanted in terms of starters and entrees. They have a good cocktail menu full of interesting drinks. I didn't note the exact name of mine, it was kind of like Bee's Knees but isn't exactly like that drink. It was really good. We absolutely loved the mushroom pie starter, easily one of the most delicious things with a creamy umami taste. My friend said she would have just ordered one as her entree since she liked it so much, and the whole thing is like a small entree size. I really enjoyed the mezze platter, a vegetarian selection including halloumi cheese and delicious chickpeas. There are a lot of restaurants in Healdsburg, but I'm really glad I tried this one.

We came in on a Saturday afternoon and made reservations ahead of time but don't really think it's necessary unless you're coming in with a big group. There is ample seating area inside and outside and the decor is picturesque filled with plants hanging on the ceiling which who doesn't love that? We ordered the kimchi noodles and the noodles were PERFECT! Love the chewiness and has a good amount of kimchi. We also ordered the fries and it was packed with flavor. Not too salty and no where near bland. They have HH from 3pm-5pm daily which run about $9 per drink. I ordered the tequila water and punch but enjoyed the punch more (definitely much sweeter). I also ordered the gintonica and felt it had just the right amount of gin. But if you really want a bang for your buck, order from HH MENU. Would definitely return if I was in the area!

The bar was packed and they do allow standing room but that's not what i wanted. Standing is fine and dandy if I was in a group but i was alone.... She offered either a table or at the counter overlooking the kitchen..I opted for counter. I had a perfect view of all the food being prepped. I was tempted to do the "founders" menu which is 3 courses for $50 ...option to add wine pairing for $30. BUT...i wasn't that hungry. I opted for the HH menu...i picked the Pepperoni flatbread + Baby lettuce & grapefruit salad. Happy Hour Rose wine... That salad was so damn good! the "croutons' were a goat cheese meringue. wow! dressing was perfectly done. the pizza was also amazing!! i had half of each to take back to hotel. they do have a wall of wine (by the ounce pours)...as impressive as it was ...i wasn't interested in walking over there to pour and sample. super fun atmosphere... phenomenal service spectacular food. 100% want to come back again!

We put in our orders and we were soon presented with the app, warm brioche buns with local butte a generous plate of tasty mesclun mix salad with great micro fennel and mustard greens and a delightful onion gratin with super gooey cheese. Then it was on to the entrees, I had chosen cassoulet, a favorite of mine and it arrived hot and aromatic with a nice hunk of sausage and a confit duck leg. The portion was generous and the beans were creamy and flavorful, my only complaint would be that they were a little heavy handed with the salt. My wife went with the trout which arrived with beautiful asparagus and a tasty sauce but alas it was a little undercooked. They replaced it with a perfectly cooked piece and she was very happy. We both loved the crispy skin on the trout. Finally we both went with the Mille feuille for dessert and it was a wonder, light crispy pastry with lemony custard and cream. Overall good experience, we will likely return.
