We dropped in to try someplace new and boy was that I good decision. Although on a rooftop there was still a feeling of coziness. Maybe it's the curated pockets of seating or being closer to the clouds, not sure but was here for it. Our server was really nice and validated our food choices. We shared vegetable spring rolls (that look like lumpia goodness), chicken wings with Pimenton sauce and a lime cream, and a wildly delicious smashburger. Presentation and taste was divine. Ambient rooftop in Healdsburg with beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. You walk into a beautiful tasting room on the first floor before heading up the elevator to the fourth floor rooftop. Once you step off, you make a right and enter the rooftop which has both indoor and outdoor seating. We were there around 5pm and it was quite windy - we had to make sure all the menus and napkins were secured and didn't blow away. We stopped for drinks and ended up ordering a couple bites as well. We ordered cocktails, the truffle fries, and the chicken wings. The cocktails were refreshing and tasted like they used fresh fruit juice. The truffle fries were also good, with just the right amount of truffle where you could still taste the potato. The chicken wings were tasty, but had a bit too much oil for my taste. I feel like this spot is underrated. The food here is amazing, quick and flavorful. The WINGS and TRUFFLE FRIES. Omg. The WINGGGSSS AND TRUFFLE FRIESSSS. First wings: Came back twice for them and both times the meat was juicy and flavored nicely. Crispy skin on the outside. The truffle fries were perfectly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside, flavor all around. Generous amount of parm all over. Best dam truffle fries ever! The ahi tuna was very nice and their spicy mayo had a good kick. The carne asada looked odd but tasted amazing, I think the meat might've been cooked sous vide style because for medium-well, it was very tender. The chicken on the Caesar salad was zesty and grilled to perfection. Wait staff is super friendly and attentive. Our dog got some water and they were very nice. I love coming here, the ambience makes you feel like a fancy fancy lady going out with your fancy lady friends. I suppose you can also come here with your significant other, but I prefer to come here with my girlfriends. My first time here and the outdoor rooftop experience is just amazing! The weather was perfect out and the seats by the fireplace was such a cute moment. My group got the oysters which were actually so refreshing with the cucumbers and vinaigrette sauce! This is different than some other oysters I've gotten and I liked how fresh they tasted. We also got the truffle garlic fries, and I loved how the garlic tasted actually cooked into the fries themselves rather than just added on top! I also got a sparkling wine to go with the rest of the food and complete the meal. The only thing was that I couldn't tell who was a server or not because they were all wearing casual clothes lol The workers were very attentive and friendly to talk to! Located on the fourth floor of the Harmon guest house, this place is perfect for a cocktail and small bites. Since they don't take reservations, we came here on a Sunday evening a little after 6 PM. Note: This place can easily be confused with Rooftop 106, which takes reservations. We opted for The Rooftop and found it to be more intimate. There were only a few couples here and we sat out on the balcony watching the sunset's ebb. Their cocktails are fantastic! Literally, lthe back half of their menu is all drinks and cocktails. This place has plenty of small bites as well as 3 dessert options at the time of this writing. Our small bites were ceviche, wild caught jumbo prawns, and a chicken salad. Every single food item was five star excellent. Literally, everything was excellent. I wouldn't hesitate to come here again or recommend it. The only flaw was that they had some trouble with their outdoor heat lamp, which kept shutting off every 10 minutes. Rooftops is located at the 200 block of Healdsburg Avenue, so parking is relatively abundant either at the square or behind the block. read more

From start to finish we had a perfect experience here this evening. Luckily we arrived right before happy hour was over so were able to enjoy cocktails & small plates at a reduced price. Our server Pearl was absolutely magnificent- so cheerful, funny & efficient. The Cosmo cocktail was well made, the mahi tacos delicious with a fabulous sauce and the crispy spring rolls divine. Well, I cannot say that I'd recommend The Rooftop or say that I'd willingly return anytime soon. I visited earlier today to celebrate a birthday, thinking the $1.50 Monday oyster special would be the perfect treat for a special day. Unfortunately, I was quite disappointed and would say it was anything but special. Before I dive into the unpleasant aspects, I will give credit where credit is due. First, the guac, shrimp ceviche, and drinks were all quite good. Not amazing, but good. The choice of tostada as the chip was odd and made eating the guac and ceviche slightly difficult, but both were seasoned well and tasted delicious. The drink, although overpriced, was refreshing on a warm day like today, and nicely made. As a rooftop, it was a lovely view of the area and the breeze was amazing. Unfortunately this is where the pleasantries end. Let's begin on what needs to improve! First, the service was downright atrocious. Our server was largely absent and avoidant. He seemed aloof and uninterested in helping our table. We regularly had to stop other servers to ask questions, order food, and get assistance when needed. He never brought our check, and we ended up going to the bar to close out. Next, let's get into the main event: the oysters. This was the entire reason we went, but the reason we left with a sour taste in our mouths.... Literally! They were overwhelming covered with cucumber (yuck!) which was not listed on the menu. I've never seen this before, and would have loved to know ahead of time, so that I could order without. Once I finally caught a server and ordered some without cucumber, a new tray arrived still topped with cucumber and I had to reorder a second time! And if the cucumber isn't enough to turn you off, just wait until you slurp up the oysters to find lack luster meat with plenty of shell pieces; enough to make you cautious with every bite. Out of the almost three dozen we ordered, every other one had broken shell and made the dining experience a minefield of navigating unwanted crunchiness. To round it out, we ventured down the street to the gem that is Lo & Behold (must go here!) where multiple employees shared their review of The Rooftop with similar unsavory experiences. When even the people in industry have unpleasant things to say, you know something is amiss. My final note: not worth it! Take your time and money elsewhere to experience better service, better food, and a more welcoming environment. Bistro Lagniappe down the street has far superior service, atmosphere, food, cocktails, and most importantly mussels!!! Forget these cheap oysters and taste something worthwhile at literally any other restaurant in downtown Healdsburg! read more

I have never written a one star review before. But then I hadn't walked out of a restaurant after waiting over an hour for oysters and a salad before either. At one point, while our server was addressing a table of six, another server, who we later learned was the manager, interrupted him to ask which table had the crème brûlée. He said table 34. She asked which table is that? Such incompetence. My husband, who worked in restaurants for years, was shocked. You Never interrupt a server when they are addressing customers, much less with such an ignorant question. We asked when we might expect our food - we had also ordered chicken sliders, empanadas and Crudo- at about 45 minutes in. When the tables around us, which were seated after us, got dozens of oysters and even a re-fired order of fries (what do you do to fries that requires a re-fire?) we walked out. We complained to our server who pointed us to the manager, the one who didn't know which table numbers correlated to which table. We live in Mendocino and drive to the Bay Area frequently, stopping for a meal in Healdsburg frequently. It was a Monday evening at 5:30 when we stopped to check out Rooftop. We left at 6:40 with no food, over an hour wasted on a long drive. Do not go to Rooftop unless all you care about is the view. read more

We went for the $1 Monday night oyster special and it was packed by 4:30 pm, mostly locals. We were able to grab seats on the outside couch with another friendly couple, who recommended the oysters. First off, the setting and 4th floor views are very nice. It's a fairly small patio so if there's a large group like when we went, it will be difficult finding a seat. We ordered 2 dozen oysters, figuring you can't go wrong, and an ahi tuna tower. Also two glasses of wine for about $15 each. The oysters came up fast, a combination of Marin miyagi, Tomales Bay oysters and mignonette (but no hot sauce!), normally $3.75 each. They looked beautiful, but the larger ones were inedible and I had to spit into my napkin. The smaller ones were a little better but still slimy. We ate 7 of the 24, yet the waiter never asked if we were enjoying them, etc. The yellowfin tuna tartare was much better, served over avocado, chili aoli with four crispy wontons on the side. We gobbled that up for $20. After 20 minutes of waiting for our drinks and asking about it, the waitress said the ticket ran out of ink and they never got the order, so she brought out the wine and comped us. The servers were nice but really busy. I'd recommend checking it out but forget the oysters. read more

They have one of the best happy hours in Healdsburg, not to mention the best space to lounge about in the afternoon with a delicious cocktail. Both were well-made! My dirty gun martini came extra dirty as requested and my table mate's lemon drop was one of the best she'd had according to her. For food, we took a variety of items from the fish tacos, to the tuna tartar, Brussels sprouts, and chips n guac, but the short rib sopes turned out to be the star of the show! Harmon Rooftop at Harmon Guest House is a fun spot for drinks and bites with a view! Enter through the hotel lobby and take the elevator or stairs up to the 4th floor. Wear a mask! The Rooftop doesn't take reservations so go early or go with a backup plan. This tiny, tourist-friendly town of ours is BUSY always! I went with a few friends on a weeknight around 6pm and we thankfully got a table! We enjoyed different versions of their spicy margarita (with mezcal, without...). We shared shishitos, tuna tartar, and the single slider with fries. The single slider is smaller than a burger but larger than a typical slider, so a good snack or lighter dinner. Everything was tasty. Portions were generous. The open-air Rooftop is a great option always but especially now during Covid times when we don't want to dine inside. It's not a huge space but our table felt safely spaced from others. read more
