It's definitely a really nice ranch. The staffs are friendly, food is organic, and rooms are comfy.

This place hosted our few day work retreat this week. Let me start by expressing that this place is absolutely stunning!!!!!! The drive up is marvelous! As soon as I pulled into the ranch I was taken away by the beautiful scenery and green all over the place. The house our institution had was huge and beautiful we were right n front of the pool which was also huge. The property is amazing. The house is covered with greenery all around giving it a beautiful vintage look. There is a beautiful lath way cover with vines going down toward the pool. Any staff we run into was warming and welcoming. We did eat there and the food was pretty good. Everything was fresh and delightful. I know I have repeated the fact that this place is stunning but there really is no other way to describe it. I recommend it for getaway forsure!!!

Just one of the lovely views offered from the expansive veranda.

I had the privilege of experiencing my 3rd retreat at the exquisite Bishop's Ranch. This gorgeous retreat center never disappoints. The landscaping is beautiful and attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. The views of the Russian River Valley are stunning. There are multiple hiking trails some of which lead to the 2 lakes on this property. The staff are extremely accommodating and welcoming. The food is delicious, healthy and fresh. One has a feeling of nirvana while at this ranch.

We were shown to our table and they offered us some time to walk the grounds, garden and view the lake. They said we could spend more time after lunch, viewing the rest of the property. The garden was beautiful. Lots of herbs and flowers, with labels. The restaurant itself was gorgeous. Wood. High ceilings. Nice decor. Our server seemed pretty new. He made a few errors throughout, but that did not significantly deter from our experience. It was really neat that the chef came out with every pairing and explained each course. We never felt rushed. There was plenty of wine. The food was exquisite. We ended up buying a few bottles of wine and even though I filled out the shipping information and told the server my preferred vendor was ups over FedEx because I have an account - he managed to bring our bottles of wine all bagged up, to our table. Yikes. We were curious about the pizza oven upon arrival. We saw it and hoped for pizza but they did not have that on the lunch pairing menu. So after we finished our scheduled lunch, it was pretty slow there, so we asked if we could stay and order more food. Our server brought the menu for us (after our third request) and we ordered a pizza and the fries which basically stated on the menu that they were the best fries you've ever had. Well, I can attest that they are not. Yes, they are shoestring fries for you lovers out there. But also, they're not a step too far from McDonald's. So that's all. Not the best of my life. Not life changing. Just like McDonald's. But the pizza was good. Unfortunately I had asked if it was red sauce and was given a yes answer. But you can see the pizza doesn't have any red sauce on it at all. I probably would've ordered a different one, if I was properly informed. Also, I asked for no balsamic glaze and of course it came with balsamic glaze. Yet another error. Whatever. I'm not sure what's up with people who swear by balsamic? Keep it off my bruschetta, it doesn't belong there. And don't put it on Brussels sprouts either. Yuck. Too much sugar and it's not necessary. On the pizza, it was fine, but not my preference. But it probably saved the pizza because there a was NO SAUCE. Anyhow- their little gift shop area is super cute and I perused the items. Also- they have a shelf of board games! How fun! It would be great to come by, get some light bites, a ton of wine, and play games and take a walk to enjoy the property. It's such a gorgeous place. I would recommend this place. The lunch and wine pairing was expensive, but the food was superior quality. The wine here is great. We did not become members but I can see why people do. Their Sauvignon blanc was one of my faves, so that was two of the bottles we purchased. Our order was eventually packaged and sent to us, via FedEx, not UPS, and was in good shape upon arrival.

The entire process was so easy from booking, communications, and vendor recommendations. We rented the Coop as well to get ready and it was such a perfect spot to be on the property but tucked away from the main grounds. Our guests continue to say how magical the wedding weekend was because of our venue! Guests walk through olive trees and into an open cocktail space with an abundance of flowers and fresh lavender. The ceremony site is under a beautiful large oak tree overlooking the Alexander Valley. The backdrop really sold me on why we had to get married at Ru's! Dinner was in front of the barn with twinkly lights. Then the dance party was in the barn where we also had lounge seating, and dessert! We had 140 guests which felt like just the right amount of people and the spaces all flowed nicely for it to feel like we could all be together the entire evening- without it feeling too large. We are still on such a high almost five months later and friends still tell us it was the best wedding of 2022! We cannot thank you LeLe and LJ for the best weekend!

It's beautiful and charming in a way that photos barely capture, but that's just the start of it. Lele, the venue owner was a joy to work with. We could tell how much love and care she puts into the space and that working with her would be the opposite of the cookie cutter, corporate experience we've experienced at other popular venues. She provided a thorough tour of the space, a really helpful preferred vendors list, and other wonderful tips and tricks. All the preferred vendors were top tier, and it ended up saving us a ton of time and we were guaranteed a high quality end to end experience. Other key benefits of Ru's: 1. The venue is available the entire wedding day which provides a lot of flexibility 2. There is a beautiful, 3-bedroom cottage on the properties that was perfect for getting ready 3. Unlike vineyards, this property has all the perks of a vineyard (oversees a vineyard) but also allows all types of alcohol (not just beer and wine) 4. The design of the space and the transition between different phases of the day (ceremony, reception, dancing, etc) was seamless This venue is a rare treasure, I would certainly suggest snatching a date before they are all gone.

We found the Grange - what a great place! The elderly woman you have to speak with to make reservations is absolutely lovely! However, today, March 20, 2023, we had our second meeting/gathering here. The president drove by and apparently did not know we were reserved for this afternoon - no big deal, things happen, however, we have the contract and the receipt. This still wasn't the issue. The issue was when we were cleaning, the president of the Grange came by again and started accusing our members of all kinds of inaccurate things, accusing us of having "hundred of balloons" (we had six), accusing us of having a "kids party" (there were four children with us), accusing us of using their kitchen, we absolutely did not, lastly she accused us of doing something "illegal" because she just now realized (although we've been in contact since December) we are a Black Hat Society. I don't know if I am more saddened by the accusations or being discriminated against, or the fact that we will no longer use their facility again. We our a non-profit that supports our community and raising money for scholarships, there was no reason for the rudeness and just straight nastiness that we endured today.

The Windsor Grange  is a cute, convenient and affordable facility for events and gatherings…read more   However, the governing body of the organization that runs it is another story.    On 3/20/22 our organization had a booked event with contract stating our use until 3:30pm.  The president of the governing body drove by early in the day and was apparently  unaware that we had booked the location and so she contacted the woman in charge of the bookings.  The rest of our event ended on a very sour note.  We understand that people are human and mistakes are made.  However, the lack of communication in the governing body, is not the fault of the patrons using the facility.   The president came back to the Grange and was very upset that we were still there at 2:30 (when she thought we were supposed to have been gone by).   She then started asking questions of our organization.  When she realized that we are a local organization of pagans, she left.   We finished up our cleaning and were on our way.  When the president of our organization called the person in charge of bookings, that was when we found out about all of the things she had accused us of.  Keeping in mind, the president of the Grange never even came inside the building.  We were accused of doing things that were "potentially illegal." We were accused of using parts of the facility not in our contract, we did not.  We were accused of having "hundred(s)" of balloons, there were 6. We were accused of having over 50 people there, we had 30 people maximum. We were accused of having held a child's party there, when it was booked for something else (as if we were hiding our true purpose), there were a total of 5 kids.  Yes, we held an egg hunt, but that was it.  She said that the person on the contract, wasn't even at the facility... she was inside, again, the president never left the front parking lot. She was upset that we brought in a few of our own rented tables, because we were not told that there tables there.... all of these accusations are enough to leave a bad taste in anyone's mouth, but the worst part is realizing why the accusations were made.  She was upset that we were a group of Pagans and Witches, so much so in fact that she wanted our check returned and future contracts ended.  Regardless of someone's personal prejudices, making baseless accusations against an organization, and its members is incredibly uncalled for.

I hope, in fact, that I get invited to a wedding here someday so I can experience the bespoke service and delicious nibbles that prior reviewers seem to rave about. The trip to the top of Fitch Mtn is no joke, but worth it on a clear spring day. Bring a little picnic -- perhaps even a bota of local vino -- and bask in the remarkable views of the expensive real estate arrayed out below you in the charming if slightly froufrou town of Healdsburg. p.s.
