When entering the center, there are many attendants who are very helpful and guide you to where you need to go for your seats. The concessions are very reasonably priced and you can even purchase a reusable cup that you can bring to other events. The whole center is very well kept and clean. The bathrooms are also very clean. I really appreciate that everything was smooth from parking, seating and even leaving the event. I will definitely be back for future shows.

Staff was friendly and helpful at the event, whether serving us drinks or helping us find our seats. The venue was plain looking both inside and outside. The seats in the auditorium (Ruth Finley Person Theater) were basic but not uncomfortable. And the view, even from the last row in the back on the lower level, was decent. Sound from the stage was fine, clear enough that I could hear every single word the comedian used to keep the crowd rolling with laughter, including myself of course. Good times!

This last time, we were offered blankets to either sit on or cover ourselves as the theatre was a little cool. What a nice surprise! We have never been disappointed by the productions. Talented actors, fun props (Mary Poppins was flying!) and a live orchestra tops it off!

Another play had moments of humor and deep sadness as the two leads navigated the difference between their dreams and their reality. And, last night, I attended a play based on air guitar competition -- which surprised me with the depth each character developed in between outrageous air guitar performances. Try it out! The new season begins in September -- and The California Theater on 7th Street offers a variety of comedy, musical and dance band options throughout the week when the plays are dark. It's amazing!

We have been to several of the plays over the years and each one had characters/performers that engulfed the room with their theatrical presence..Being so close to the stage is like being an active participant feeling the array of emotions and witnessing the unfolding of the script. Knowing some of the actors brings a whole different reality....seeing them in character so opposite of their normal personality you wonder if they have a multi personality disorders...Interesting to see the play with a room full of people and the actors act as if we did not exist and were watching through a one way mirror. All of them completely consumed with perfection for the roles being played...Being a one stage setup the change of scenes are limited but effective. To compliment the evening they have a well stocked bar of local wines, beverages and treats.....

Its theater in the round so every seat is a great seat. The actors and actresses are all from leading Universities and Performing Arts Centers around the country and they have very high skill levels. The first of 3 Musicals was Bonnie and Clyde. We didn't how it would adapt to a Musical but don't worry, it was excellent. The lead roles of Bonnie and Clyde had really good singing voices as well as acting ability. We thoroughly enjoyed this first Musical. Coming up in the next few weeks are Mamma Mia and Pippin. Can't wait! Considering the quality of the performers the cost of the shows is an excellent value. Look for some of these kids in future shows on Broadway, they are that good!

I'll be honest…read morethat I was a bit hesitant to go to this venue for a music performance with my senior Mom with general seating, but am so glad we did. The space is amazing! There was no bad spot in the space and the variety of dining room chairs as seating was fun. I love how it was described as an entertainment space with a bar and not the other way around. Looking at the calendar there is a lot of diversity in performances. We will be back and look forward to where they will land after November.

Theater usually isn't my thing but I must admit I really did enjoy it. One of the requirements of said English class was that I attend performances at the Burbank Auditorium on the campus of Santa Rosa Junior College. I recall loving the building as it was large enough to host a major production yet intimate enough for those in attendance to enjoy the performance. Even today Burbank Auditorium still lives up to the hype as evidenced by checking out it's latest musical "In The Heights". The theater was packed with a fun filled crowd who were on their feet throughout.

"Into the Woods", my favorite musical was absolutely FABULOUS. We LOVED it. They always have great musicals and plays. But this one topped the charts. Give it 10 stars. The seats were awful. I guess the high school kids are very skinny. No width or leg room. Hard to get in and out and very worn down. You could feel the metal.Too many stairs with no rails. Older people had trouble. Fortunately, this is only a temporary venue. The auditorium itself was really nice. But the performance was incredible. It made up for the seats. Thank you wonderful cast and SRJC for this amazing creative production.

Great set design including an older Nissan truck on stage! The venue is nice. Seats are staggered so you don't have a totally blocked view if someone sits in front of you. Only downside, was we (myself and mom who uses a cane) had seats reserved on the Mezzanine and got there only to find out there were steep stairs and no elevator. Went and spoke to the friendliest usher (wish I had asked her name) and she quickly found us seats on the main floor.

Lots of parking, a beautiful stage and an overall smooth run of show. The backstage can get a bit crowded but that is normal with these kinds of performances!
