Wow. This is my absolutely favorite wine tasting I have done in Sonoma, especially at this chapter of my life. They are so family friendly - including small kids and dogs! A really well-kept picturesque property where any picture you take is social media ready. We picnicked with the food that they gave us. That was enough, really well packed and delicious. Incredible grounds and delicious wine! Highly recommend for a wonderful wine country tasting. They do custom food and wine pairings and have some a La carte menu items like fries, pizza, charcuterie and salads. Everyone there was lovely and they greet you with a chilled glass of sparkling wine! It's worth it just to take a stroll through the gardens and property, lots of cute nooks. We loved the raised bocce courtyard, sculptures and adorable floating duck houses in the nearest pond. Gorgeous rose and vegetable gardens, a true paradise. Last but not least the wine was very good. This amazing location opened up later in 2020 and I had the pleasure of going with my wife now in 2026. We had reservations for the lunch and wine pairing on a weekday. We were the first to arrive. Employees were very helpful. We were shown to our table and they offered us some time to walk the grounds, garden and view the lake. They said we could spend more time after lunch, viewing the rest of the property. The garden was beautiful. Lots of herbs and flowers, with labels. The restaurant itself was gorgeous. Wood. High ceilings. Nice decor. Our server seemed pretty new. He made a few errors throughout, but that did not significantly deter from our experience. It was really neat that the chef came out with every pairing and explained each course. We never felt rushed. There was plenty of wine. The food was exquisite. We ended up buying a few bottles of wine and even though I filled out the shipping information and told the server my preferred vendor was ups over FedEx because I have an account - he managed to bring our bottles of wine all bagged up, to our table. Yikes. We were curious about the pizza oven upon arrival. We saw it and hoped for pizza but they did not have that on the lunch pairing menu. So after we finished our scheduled lunch, it was pretty slow there, so we asked if we could stay and order more food. Our server brought the menu for us (after our third request) and we ordered a pizza and the fries which basically stated on the menu that they were the best fries you've ever had. Well, I can attest that they are not. Yes, they are shoestring fries for you lovers out there. But also, they're not a step too far from McDonald's. So that's all. Not the best of my life. Not life changing. Just like McDonald's. But the pizza was good. Unfortunately I had asked if it was red sauce and was given a yes answer. But you can see the pizza doesn't have any red sauce on it at all. I probably would've ordered a different one, if I was properly informed. Also, I asked for no balsamic glaze and of course it came with balsamic glaze. Yet another error. Whatever. I'm not sure what's up with people who swear by balsamic? Keep it off my bruschetta, it doesn't belong there. And don't put it on Brussels sprouts either. Yuck. Too much sugar and it's not necessary. On the pizza, it was fine, but not my preference. But it probably saved the pizza because there a was NO SAUCE. Anyhow- their little gift shop area is super cute and I perused the items. Also- they have a shelf of board games! How fun! It would be great to come by, get some light bites, a ton of wine, and play games and take a walk to enjoy the property. It's such a gorgeous place. I would recommend this place. The lunch and wine pairing was expensive, but the food was superior quality. The wine here is great. We did not become members but I can see why people do. Their Sauvignon blanc was one of my faves, so that was two of the bottles we purchased. Our order was eventually packaged and sent to us, via FedEx, not UPS, and was in good shape upon arrival. read more

A friend of ours brought us a bottle from Bricoleur so we decided to check out the winery on our recent trip to Sonoma Wine Country. Wow! The place is absolutely stunning. It's a huge grounds with all kinds of different buildings, a huge welcoming barn/tasting room with a kitchen, all kinds of outdoor seating on the patio and a separate area where you can take a picnic. It's modern and new while also feeling like somewhere in France or Italy. Just spectacular. I had booked the standard tasting just for me and my husband was very happy to find out they also had food. We shared a huge portion of French fries - while maybe not the best I've EVER had they were quite good - and would be a great tasting snack for a big table. We also had the fresh wood fired meat pizza, with great flavors and some yummy spicy pea shoots on top. Wines were also great. I tend to love Pinots and the founder's Pinot was my absolute fave. The rose and the sparkling rose were also quite good. All the service was amazing, from Marcy who fixed our umbrella to our host, Anthony, and all the other servers who stopped by to top off our water or make sure we were ok. This is a must visit winery, and if you think you're going to only enjoy the wine, which is excellent, you should equally go to enjoy the food created by Chef Todd Knoll. I opted for the Rooted tasting. This is six wines paired with six different culinary tastings prepared by Chef Knoll. For me and my wife we both have Celiac, Chef Knoll prepared our food tasting completely gluten free. Each dish was amazing. The location provides a variety of places to enjoy your wine and food. My tasting was in a beautiful barn like structure. The service excellent. I have had many wine tastings and wine pairing across Sonoma and Napa counties. This pairing was by far the best experience. Chef Knoll created the most delicious food I've ever tasted AND he made them all gluten free. I highly recommend this tasting and food pairing. read more

Had a little trip to Windsor with the girls decided to try out this place for wine tasting. Some of the people in our group had never been wine tasting before, and our server was very knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions we had. The Bricoleur Vineyards "Rooted" experience can be summarized into one word: sublime. From the ample parking offered to the welcoming bubbles glass offered to anyone with a booked experience you are made to feel welcome. The "Rooted" experience offers a variety of cuisine (of which changes often depending on the season) but every dish was thoughtful in its pairing, presentation, and taste. Our server was thoughtful and made us feel right at home. Any questions we had were promptly answered and we did not feel neglected in the slightest. We experienced a range of cuisine from goat cheese-based dishes to finishing off with a delectable wagyu steak cube. All of which did not stay on the plate long as it was delicious. The tasting area is in a large barn which allows for quiet, intimate conversation to be had with a partner to hosting a large group of friends. Thoroughly enjoyed the "Rooted" tasting experience at Bricoleur. It was one of those, let's just do it moments and we are glad we did. This was our first of 4 visited wineries in the Sonoma area over the weekend and by comparison the other 3 (well known wineries) were just "meh". The wine pairings were amazing. I had a wonderful experience at Bricoleur! We did the Rooted Tasting and they were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions of no pork/shellfish, and even better- that didn't make me sacrifice quality at all! The dishes were amazing, my husband said his scallop dish was his favorite thing he ate all trip. It was all paired very well and we very much enjoyed our wines-- the pinots and the Isla Rose rosé were my favorites. For anyone who doesn't want to do formal pairings, they also offer delicious pizzas and a bowl of french fries the size of my head. My toddler was in heaven. The property is massive and stunning-- would be a great place for an event! 10/10 would recommend if you're visiting Healdsburg or Windsor! read more

We received our first course arrived it smelled so bad I immediately sent it back. They did it again it didn't smell as bad but the fish wasn't fresh. The Second course of ravioli 2 ways tasted fine but was served cold. The third course was a piece of over cooked fillet and tough undercooked short ribs. Did the dishwasher cook on Monday. 4.5 stars A little far from downtown Sonoma or Napa but really loved our experience here. We came with another couple and our toddlers. The winery is super family and dog friendly and we enjoyed the picnic they provided for $75/adult. With our picnic we got an orzo salad, a snap pea salad, some marinated cheese, a beet hummus , crackers, and turkey sandwiches. It also came with a welcome glass of a rose blend and then a choice of a Sauvignon Blanc or rose afterwards. You can also order food a la carte as well as wines by the bottle or glass. Highly recommend their fries that you can order a la carte! We also shared a bottle of their founders Pinot and a Zinfandel which were both great with our food and reasonably priced. They have ponds with fish (including food that you can feed the fish or ducks with), a chicken coop, a pavilion that had a corn hole and standing connect four, as well as a rose garden. The property was absolutely stunning and a place that you could literally spend the whole day at with your kids. They also had a wood fire oven where you could order pizza as well though we didn't order any. We would definitely come back! read more

I feel like such a lucky gal to be at this vineyard on two different occasions! I came here this first time when my friend treated me to their rooted experience. It's a course menu with a sampling of their wines. Sooo delicious. It's so rare to get both wine and food right at a winery - and I was so pleasantly surprised how the food complemented the wine so perfectly. The grounds at this winery is also so laid back and pleasant. I loved just hanging out on the grass and enjoy a chat with friends afterwards! I felt so lucky to visit this winery again for bastille day! They really went all out and done it up with a delicious picnic and a fun day for all of us- we even had a little one with us. We got a local recommendation about this winery. It was significantly better than we expected. While the winery building and grounds are spectacular, the wines, service, and tasting was among, if not the best we have ever encountered. The wines, particularly the Sauvignon Blank, Pinot Noir, and zinfandel were really good. Service and presentation by Taryn were exceptional. So I write this review with mixed feelings as I normally do not like to write less than 4 star reviews but this is based on OVERALL experience. First off this place is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained. The interior of the barn to the surrounding outdoor patio/seating areas are clean, welcoming, and beautiful. We had a staggered arrival for our party due to traffic but the vineyard was very accommodating. We did a wine and food pairing and loved the wine and each dish. The chef was very gracious and I liked the fact that they pulled ingredients they grew themselves. Our hostess was also very pleasant and entertaining through the tasting. There was also a sweet special guest- the baby of the vineyard and she was a real delight! After the tasting we were able to order additional food and bottles that we took to their outdoor patio. We had such a great time. Our favorite was a brut - fly by the seat of our pants. The issues arose during the billing process that resulted in 3 separate incidents. So note - be sure to review your bill before authorizing any payments. Our issues were resolved pretty quickly but there was some attitude involved and a bit of blame that left a sour taste and not one that has us feeling we need to revisit. Firstly, this is a fantastic location and facility where you can just get away from everything and enjoy being in the country, yet it is 5 mins outside of Windsor. A really great experience!! Riley was fantastic, a great host and truly a joy to be hosted by. Very knowledgeable about her wines and excellent at describing the food pairing. The food pairing itself was good, really good, very very very good but not great for the wine. A chef reminded me today that making food for specific wines is really hard. Finding wine for food when you have all the choices in the world (like farmhouse) is easy. The Pinot was nice, the Syrah had potential but felt a little thin. I didn't care for the rest of the wines we tried but one or two that I didn't try sounded promising. I'm happy to give them another chance. The location is destined to be amazing. My wife and I are in the founders wine club here. We followed Chris Richard from Handley Cellars. Chris knows how to take care of his customers! They have great wines, but you really must come here and enjoy one of their wine and food pairings. It is really incredible their ability to pair a plate with wine and how much one enhances the other. The pizza's are to die for! The atmosphere is beyond fantastic. There is not a place in California where we enjoy the food and atmosphere more than here. You won't be disappointed. read more
