Great walk-in experience with our dogs on their patio next to the vineyard. The staff, especially tasting room manager Roberto, was very welcoming & knowledgeable. Where to start. After cycling by this stunning home and tasting room situated on picturesque west side road for several years, I finally decided to stop by to do a tasting. From the moment we set foot into the winery we felt as if we were part of the family. Trini and lisa, the owners, are so warm and welcoming as are Fernando and Lafi, two of the long time managers. There is a deeper story behind the winery and name (Trini's grandmother) which you need to hear directly from Trini, a charismatic and gifted story teller. And the wine, oh yes the wine! Some of the best Pinots I've ever had and a Chardonnay made for non Chardonnay fans like me. Fear not if you're not a pinot or chard lover, they have several other varietals as well. Fun fact - Trini's son is the wine maker who started making wine as a teen in their garage! My favorite winery to visit because it's by far the most personal experience. I used to live in SF and went quite often, in fact when they were building the tasting room 15 years ago or so I was a regular and joined the wine club. Each time I would bring new people there they'd blown away by the experience. It's basically the polar opposite of some of the more commercial wineries, and most people don't know places like this exist. It's a winery with a soul. And a beautiful story with amazing owners and stakeholders. I moved away during Covid and went back recently. I'm happy to report it's still the same. I met one of the stakeholders, Fernando on this visit and he made us feel right at home like an old friend. The visit was the highlight of our trip and renewed my love for Gracianna. I plan on sending gifts of wine from there to introduce people to this hidden gem as between the quality of the wine, the small batched and feeling of being in the know, and the amazing people its really easy to become a huge fan of this place! read more

"Gracianna is for those with something to be grateful for." Gracianna. Grace. Graciousness. Gratitude. I am grateful for this beautiful, family-owned and operated estate in Russian River Valley's Miracle Mile on Westside Road. They make delicious Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc. We are also thankful for friends who are members and took us there/introduced us to these luscious wines. It was a cold, damp day last weekend during the atmospheric river but the hospitality was warm and welcoming and we enjoyed all of the wines. The small intimate tasting room is open-air. I was concerned about the rain but we were covered and comfortable. They also have seating outside overlooking the vineyards; this will be an awesome option on a non-rainy day. The rain didn't stop us from exploring the vineyards which were shades of yellow, orange, and red. So pretty! Each club member gets a custom plaque which is displayed among the vines. The winery is named after the Amador family's grandmother, Gracianna. And yes, if you were wondering, the Amador name is related to Amador County! Ask them for the story! Our favorite wine of the day was the 2017 Pinot Noir! And we purchased a few bottles for home. We look forward to returning again soon! read more

We loved this winery and it was not on our list. We were touring wineries on Easter Sunday so some of the wineries were not open. Our driver (Wine Tours by Santa) recommended this winery and said it would be a great place for a picnic lunch. He was right on all accounts. This is a small, beautiful. family owned winery. We really enjoyed the Zinfandel and others we tasted. Lafayette (Lafi) was wonderful with the tasting and telling the story of the winery. We went to the winery on Memorial Day and were surprised to see that the place was relatively empty. We had a group of five and sat outside under the umbrella, overlooking the vineyard. We sampled all of their award winning wines and every type of wine we sampled was magnificent. We especially enjoyed the Gracianna Resilience Pinot Noir. It had a delightful bouquet and full bodied taste. Trini and Lisa, the owners, joined us and we chatted for quite a while. They are just lovely, down to earth, and welcoming people. This place is such a gem and one of the best wineries I've visited in the Russian River Valley. All of the staff is just as incredible as the wines, location, and owners which we were fortunate enough to meet during our visit. It's ironic because I personally am not crazy about Chardonnay or Pinots, but yet I loved everything that was poured and bought a few bottles of each. There's plenty of outdoor space to enjoy wines and the river is very close to the tasting room. They are also dog friendly! They made sure our dogs had water as soon as we arrived. Came here for my cousins birthday and I just found my new favorite winery! Trini, Lucy, and another host helping them I think his name was Fernando, made this first experience really special for my cousin, myself, and my family. They actually closed the building to host my cousins birthday at their estate and winery. The room can fit up to 60 people comfortably and 30 people seated. What really touched me is that this whole estate has meaning to it, whether if it's from the gift box, to the windows, to every art piece inside the house, to the medallions hanging on the vines, their wines, etc. EVERYTHING had meaning and I actually loved hearing that during the house tour. And perhaps one of the most wonderful characteristics that this winery has is the deep and welcoming soul that every person of its team display. Gregarious and inviting are two words that describe Sue and Fernando--the two attendants who graciously took care of us during the visit. From the very first phone call inquiring whether they were open, received by Fernando, to the time we first walked in and welcomed by Sue, Gracianna truly lives up to its namesake. A tasting fee of $25 will get you a delicious line-up of rosé, whites, and reds. A wonderful progression from fresh, candy rosé to tingle the palette proceeds to a great example of white wine variance: sauvignon blanc and chardonnay. Sauvignon blanc has tropical fruits with an undertone of mint that is pronounced. The chardonnay is unexpectedly not as buttery in texture, but definitely still has a full-body characteristic. The two pinots and zinfandel as the red offerings are distinct in depth but has an uncanny similarity that transitioning from one to the other is like Goldilocks choosing which porridge is just right for her. I would have to agree that the overall tasting experience was paced appropriately, friendly, and delicious. With the solid 5 star ratings they have garnered, it's no surprise why they have been lauded accordingly. read more

Wow!! Wow!! Wow!! (7/23/2023 visit) What a delightful experience at this family owned winery. From the moment we stepped out of the car we were welcomed by Maya, the cute black dog. Lafayette welcomed us in as we stepped into the winery. We felt like were invited to share amazing wine with new friends. Four different people poured wine, shared tasting notes and some fun stories. Lafayette was super fun! He described the wine and made us laugh telling us that one of the wines could be pared with BBQ meats or hot Cheetos! Too funny. Trinni was very welcoming as was another lady. Sorry, I forgot your name. Hannah poured her first serving for us. Thanks Hannah! This review is long long overdue! I came to Gracianna for my 24th birthday in July of 2020 (height of covid) with 4 friends. We had the most spectacular time. First off, I need fo acknowledge how incredible the winery owners are! They let us play with their dog, told us the history of the vineyard and the local area, and spent time chatting with us. We really felt like we had known them for so long! They had recently had to deal with flooding and them the fires- and yet they handled everything with grace and a smile on their faces! Such a gem! Even though it was the hottest day of the year so far we joined our friends, who are members, for a tasting. The staff was gracious and helpful even with the heat, taking time to explain each wine poured. Even with the heat the setting was wonderful. The outside seating area, (very covid conscience), overlooked the vineyard and was shaded by either trees or umbrellas for the most part. Trini filled us with great stories about the wines. The Gracianna Sauvignon Blanc "Kiwi's Blend", even though I'm normally not a big fan of this varietal, was exceptional. This Crisp with more acid then fruit this New Zealand style wine would be perfect with seafood. The 2016 Gracianna Chardonnay was crisp without being over-oaked and the 2016 Gracianna Pinot Noir was excellent. Unfortunately the heat was a bit too much for us and we had to cut short our tastings. The true spirit of this region shines through with Trini and the entire 2016 Gracianna staff. Fires, floods or Covid don't hamper the true joy of their wine making. Please support this wonderful "Old World" family style winery and it's wonderful staff. p.s For dinner the same evening we make pork and lamb burgers and paired with the Gracianna Zinfandel. Reservation email was responded to immediately and some personal concerns were addressed with humor. The setting is indeed gorgeous, relaxing, very little traffic... none of us are wine drinkers so we needed guidance and information and Gracianna staff were generous with their attention and patient with us. It was also just fun! The tastes went Rose, Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Pinot, Zin and Syrah. When we paid they gave the eldest a free visit, so nice of them.... The winemaker's dinner was an intimate and excellent event from the greeting as we pulled into the parking area to the greeting at the door and all the way through each course of the delectable meal, paired with Gracianna's beautifully crafted wines. We were driving down Westside Rd, having just left a nearby winery. We stopped at Gracianna because the buildings looked cool and it just felt like it was going to be a good place. But that turned out to be an understatement! Fernando welcomed us into the tasting room and we started drinking the exceptional wines. Everything about Gracianna was fantastic. My wife and I stopped by on our honeymoon. When we arrived the owner was taking club members on a tour of his home and invited us along. This was characteristic of how hospitable every person was at Gracianna. Everyone went out of their way to make our experience the best it could be. This is one of the coolest winery experiences we had in Napa-Sonoma! The owner Trini & Lisa were so warm and sociable, so did the two ladies help us in the tasting room. The vineyard is right behind their tasting room. They have a nice patio outside of tasting room if you feel like to relax there. Trini showed us around the vineyard & shared some insights while we enjoying our tasting. After that he toured us around the gorgeous vineyard view house they designed, and shared the stories behind the vineyard, its name, the arts. We were very luck that he was home yesterday, since house tour is not part of wine tasting. Really appreciate he made time from his busy schedule. Their members club is very cool as well. It's called Medallion Club. Each member can have one sentence engraved on their medallion & hang at grapevine as memory. Upon learned this is our first time visit the area, Lisa also recommended couple of wineries near by. She also called one of them herself to make sure we will have good time. We had a fantastic experience at Gracianna! The wines are delicious, but the hospitality and really what makes this place unique. Each piece of their property and business has a story. It's a family-run winery where you can see that passion runs the business. We tasted their rose, chardonnay, pinots and zinfandel. The pinots are great, especially the Estate! Their wine club is also super fun - a "medallion" club where you get to choose the text that goes on it and it's hung on your own vine within the vineyard.
