We really enjoyed our visit here... The service provided was excellent and they have some very nice wines too! The venue is absolutely beautiful and very nicely decorated. Prices are reasonable and nothing about our visit was rushed. We'd definitely return and high recommend making a reservation to visit!

Easily the best winery we visited during a Sonoma trip last summer. I would HIGHLY recommend Croix to anyone! When we booked this visit, it definitely seemed on the smaller side, but we were blown away but the vast space and breadth of varietals they create. We met our som, Tom, upon arrival, where he greeted us with some bubbles and a brief tour of the estate. The barrel room was super cool (private party ongoing there during our visit), and the house itself was newly renovated and quite modern but with some classic touches. The well / windmill outside was a remnant of days prior, so it was great to have that history maintained. In terms of tasting, we wound up sampling 10 wines! To keep up with the tasting, I wound up only sipping some of the varietals and dumping the rest, but I'm grateful I did so that I could try (and remember) nearly all their offerings. Tom was a wonderful guide, teaching us about each type of wine, answering my questions along the way, and telling us about his background. The wines truly were outstanding, and I was proud of myself for being able to identify a lot of the tasting notes. The wines, particularly the whites, were so crisp and refreshing, but the reds had substantial body and flavor as well. My favorite was by far the sav blanc, so I shipped a bottle back home. We wound up shipping a few bottles back, and Tom even gave us a bottle to enjoy while we were still in Sonoma. You could definitely tell that he was from the Midwest given his kindness and his hospitality! I can't speak highly enough of our experience at Croix, it truly was 10/10. I'm glad I get their emails and mailing so I can continue to indulge in their wines from the East Coast. Looking forward to a return trip!

Amazing experience! Wow 7 tasting with great comparisons. And exceptional service from Travis! It was raining and 40 and the fireplace was on and they moved us inside! Very thoughtful. The seating? The ambiance and the tasting ms totally 5 stars!'n We cannot say enough about the beautiful setting. They use sheep to maintain the vineyards ... LOVE! Bathrooms, views and explanations awesome! This was our 1st stop of the day so the bar is established VERY high! 7 of us and it was unanimous

Just WOW! Some of the best wines I have had recently. I loved the Pinots the most, but everything from the Rose to the Sauvignon Blanc were amazing!!! We had three Chardonnays that were each different from each other and all lovely. They produce quite a few Pinots as well plus Zinfandel and a GSM. Travis our gracious host, was quite knowledgeable and interesting. The building was beautiful. Definitely the best tasting of the day! Absolutely perfect.

Croix went above and beyond accommodating eight of us over Memorial Day weekend. Great information, friendly hosts, delicious wines in a lovely setting. This is the real deal of wineries. Thank you!

The standout for us was the 2019 Zinfandel--bold, smooth, and just really memorable. Definitely the one we're still talking about. Beyond the wine itself, wandering through the sculpture gardens added something really special to the visit. It's such a peaceful, beautiful setting and made the whole experience feel more like an afternoon escape than just a tasting. Honestly, Kevin made it. Also the staff were friendly, attentive and heavy on the pours making the whole night indulgent and fun. Overall 9/10. Good venue for a company gathering.

It's rare that you get hosted by the winemaker, so we we so excited. This tasting lounge is hidden in an industrial park, shared among other vintners. We were greeted with a great big smile and warm hug from Dennis. We mistakenly were waiting in the wrong place, so he guided us to the tasting lounge just on the other side of production. Cozy and quaint, with a comfy waiting area, short bar and long dining style table made up the tasting lounge with glass windows and doors that looked out into the production facility. We tasted Gerwürztraminer, Rosé and Pinot Noirs. All delicate and luxurious in their own way. I'm typically not a fan of Gerwürztraminer because they tend to lean on the sweet side. This was crisp, vibrant and delightful. All wines were lovely but the fav was the Forcini Vineyard Pinot Noir. It was showcased a smooth, silky and velvety mouthfeel that lingered after swallowing. Dennis gave us a tour of the barrel room and answered all our burning questions about aging, blending and cooperage. He even gave us some barrel samples, so cool! Enough acidity to keep it bright and juicy at the same time!! I rated this a 4.2 which is excellent! McCarter Cellars Rose of Pinot NoiIt's made using the saignée method, which involves collecting juice from pinot noir grapes and its great and has texture in the mouthfeel and I tasted wild strawberry and raspberry and some minerality, and its great! I rated it a 4.1 Then I tasted one of his Pinot Noirs which I think was the Forchini vineyard Excellent Pinot from Dennis McCarter of McCarter Cellars and its unique in Pinot flavors because I tasted some peach in this some forest floor, and cherry cola, and toast from the 50% new oak in it! And I smelled the rhubarb pie filling and reminded me of the spice in Mincemeat pie that my grandma used to make! And it's juicy but sophisticated was my first comment on it. That and it's floral! He's using both American Oak and Central European Oak to craft his wines! I rated it a 4.4 Then we went into the cellar where his barrels are and he got up into the barrels Wow this McCarter Cellars Pinot Noir 2023 is great! I'm tasting the classic flavors of cherry cola, wild strawberry and raspberry plus some Forest floor and rhubarb pie filling with spice and a nice toast on it.! This is great wine! And not quite as sophisticated as the one before this but still has that sophistication while still being juicy goodness! And spice box. I rated this one a 4.5! And then he went around to different barrels and drew some wine from different barrels to create the perfect Zinfandel and it was delicious and smooth and elegant and I am remiss about the flavors it revealed but I remember that I gave it a 4.5 also which is superb or exceptional!

In 2024 we received a shipment of wine where all the wine in the shipment was broken. In typical situations, wineries offer replacement of broken bottles, but Fog Crest was impossible to reach in spite of (literally) 50 phone calls and emails. Since I couldn't reach them, I canceled my subscription to their wine club. Flash forward a few months, they charge me another ~$500 on my credit card for wine, but never ship me any wine (in spite of the fact that I had already canceled online). Again, dozens of calls and emails, no answer and no response. Still trying. A few months after that, they charge me ANOTHER ~$500 on my credit card for wine, but don't ship that wine to me either. After probably 100 calls and emails, I finally talk to the wine club coordinator on the phone. She of course acknowledges my dozens of messages, and acknowledges my situation. She says she will replace the wine that was broken and figure out why they've been charging me for wine I haven't been receiving and make it right. But that she can't talk right now and she'd call me back with more information. That was a month ago. I've now called again dozens of times, and emailed. No response. Called and emailed the owner, no response. This is borderline criminal: $1,500 in charges for undelivered product, a non-existent customer service experience, and an online system so archaic that it doesn't process your cancelation and continues to charge you for product.

We joined their wine club in 2023 and was charged $420 all of 2024/25 for wine that they NEVER shipped. After finally getting a call back, the person said they only called me back because "she saw we had called a lot in one day." That was the first red flag. She promised to credit my account and look into another charge that had been applied. It's been SEVEN days since that conversation, and STILL no credit, no updates, and no resolution. I've followed up with multiple calls, messages, and emails... NOTHING. At this point, it's clear that they don't care about their customers. I highly recommend staying far away from Fog Crest if you value your time and money. Total waste of both
