    Great wine!!!!

Thank You for the Excellent Wine Service at Tammy!!! The professionalism and knowledge are appreciated.

This winery has amazing views! We love how we feel at home when we come here. Tammie is so much fun and has great knowledge of the wines. We loved having her as our wine expert. We don't need Napa when you got Tammie at Fog Creast! 100% recommend and affordable!

    Charcuterie board and wine tasting

Amazing view, great vibes, awesome service! Tammy was the BEST, she took such good care of us to make sure our afternoon in wine country was 10/10. Also the charcuterie board with the truffle honey was insane - so good! Would definitely come back.

What a lovely tasting experience! Each of offerings in the tasting was delicious - I left with two bottles of rose! More importantly, it was a restorative and relaxing experience. I came out to Sebastopol for some solo time away from the craziness kids and work life. Connie was such a warm and welcoming presence as she came by with her each new pour. I had the patio to myself as I enjoyed the view and enjoyed my wine over a book. Couldn't have asked for a more wonderful experience!

I made a visit to Fog Crest Vineyard during a weekend when the air quality further north was questionable due to the Caldor Fire. I ended up going anyway with my partner, our two dogs, a some friends, and we had a great time. We did their tasting, and the person serving us seemed very knowledgeable about the wines. I particularly liked their rose and their Cabernet. Seeing the menu, their bottle prices were pretty reasonable but I didn't partake because we don't drink often. We sat on their outdoor patio which overlooked different rows of grapes and had a pretty awesome view. We ordered ahead for lunch and I had their roast beef sandwich which was pretty tasty. The place had a very nice atmosphere with friendly staff, I'd go again!

Beautiful mountain view and good wine for sipping. We visited Fog Crest Vineyard on a Sunday afternoon and we were immediately struck by the fantastic view. The outdoor patio is small but comfortably accommodated the four parties which visited while we did. The tasting came with bread and olive oil, and we had plenty of water the entire time. The tasting consists of three Chardonnays and two reds, but each Chardonnay had a strikingly different character. Overall, I had a nice time at Fog Crest Vineyard and would highly recommend them.

Beautiful view and ambiance. The location was perfect. Wine and food. EXCELLENT! The staff is very knowledgeable and very nice. The owner is very nice. It was great to meet her and talk about the business, the history, and just natural conversation.

I always come to listen to music- specifically jazz, which they feature quite a bit. The outdoor setting at this location is very nice. I could see it conducive for events or group reservations. I came with a friend to hear the music and there's plenty of seating. There's a huge redwood tree near the table which offers shade and there are also umbrellas in the sunnier locations. They were making pizza in their own pizza oven today- however for a 10 inch pizza I thought $22 was a little bit much. There are definitely a nice variety of Pinot's offered. However, I was in the mood for something chilled and I opted for their Rose of Pinot. I was pleased with the size of the pour but not sure I would order that variety again. He took excellent care of us and truly spoiled our group at our tasting. We did a small tour on the grounds and learned a lot about their process and the pinot noir process in general. We all loved the wines so much that everyone bought at least 1 bottle, and two of us signed up for their wine club. In fact, we had such a good time, that our group came BACK to share a bottle of wine in between our reservations. Dave took care of us and we were happy to spend some more time with him. It is such a great place -- the wine is incredible, service is excellent, views are gorgeous, and you feel you are right where you belong. Cheers!

My husband booked the reserve tasting ($90, but one tasting fee is waived with the purchase of 3 bottles - which we took advantage of). Their pinot noirs are fantastic - you can smell and taste the french oak. Scott was our host and he was awesome. Really personable, knowledgeable, and friendly - would definitely request him again (if we're able) when we come back next! Upon arrival, we checked in and got to choose where we wanted to sit -inside or outside. It's a relatively small space, but we enjoyed our spot outside, as it was great weather that day. Everyone has a different palette, but we enjoyed the Warren's Hill pinot - which had a grippier, more tannin-heavy taste (than typical pinot noirs we were associated with). Aromatic, umami, darker berry fruit forward. As I preluded, the sauvignon blanc was fantastic - very fruity on the nose. Clean and bright, and I get predominantly pineapple/tropical notes. Would definitely come back again. We joined their allocation list, as they don't offer a typical wine club experience.

It's just simply the best Sauvignon Blanc out there. We came here just to buy a case but saw that you get a free wine tasting if you purchase 3 or more. Place was empty aside from one other party so they were able to accommodate the walk in. The tasting room itself is nicely decorated, clean, spacious, with a more private room in the back and several tables outside. Reason from giving this place a 5 stars is we felt this place was very transactional and not personable like many other wineries in the Sonoma area. Once the tasting flight is done they ask you to either join the club for the comp, buy two bottles, or pay the $35 tasting fee - no offer to revisit any wines or pour something extra they have in inventory. I was curious to try their Sonoma cost Syrah but they didn't have any bottles open. Wines themselves were fine - enjoyed the Pinot rose and Chardonnay (made in Chablis style so more minerality), but their Pinot noirs were quite different from the typical Sonoma coast ones I've had (e.g Williams seylem, Kosta browne, Rochiolli, Arista, etc). These were much darker and less aromatic, no tannins and fuller bodied with some spice notes but short finish. The gentleman pouring for us said these are good to pair with foods, which I could imagine is true. Their estate syrah is similar in style, so similar to their Pinot noir actually, a lighter bodies and ABV Syrah that doesn't have the depth and complexity as syrahs from Paso region that I personally enjoy. But anyways, these are personal preference - when I mentioned a specific tasting note, our host basically said I was wrong. I laughed it off and went along with it, but it didn't sit well.

Since then I have enjoyed some incredible wine club release parties and experiences as her +1. The folks at Red Car are not only serious about making great Chardonnay, Rose, Pinot Noir, and Syrah but they also take pride in the relationships they build with their members. Yesterday was my third rose release party and it was so great to reconnect with familiar faces and their winemaker Tanner. They always support a local business that provides catering (tacos, BBQ, pizza), have a great live band, and other local artisans selling their products. I would recommend a stop at this tasting room and a visit to the Barlow (nearby) for a perfect day out.

We've heard a lot of stellar reviews for Iron Horse, so we were underwhelmed by our experience. To start, we checked in at the front, got a glass of sparkling to start, and was told to wait for everyone joining us to get here. We waited for a few minutes. Our host ended up forgetting us and started walking off with the other party when they finally showed up, and the guy we checked in with had to go tell him we were part of his group. I enjoyed the charcuterie box that comes with the tasting, albeit there was some moldy bits here and there. We got the harvest magnum experience ($90/person). They offer more affordable experiences as well. To be honest, I wasn't impressed with any of the wines. I did enjoy the seating experience, the charcuterie box, and the mini impromptu tour everyone was given of the production. The wine itself was underwhelming for the price and as nothing stood out to us, we finished our tasting and didn't grab anything to go. As we weren't wine club members here, the host didn't pay us much attention. Worth trying once, maybe, to see if their wines are to your liking.
