We recently took my aunt that was visiting from out of town to Copain for their standard tasting experience and it was excellent. Our wine expert was Juan and he did a great job, educating us on the different wines that we were tasting, but also gave us time to mingle and catch up with our group. It was raining that day, so they sat us inside where some of the wine cellars were, which was a very cool experience. Something that I haven't done before. The staff was so friendly. The wines were so good and we will definitely be back!

Thank you to Maura for our amazing tasting experience. She's the best!! All the wines were so elegant and we thoroughly enjoyed her knowledge and expertise. The views were beautiful and the cheeses we had were so perfect with the wines. We enjoyed meeting the winemaker as well, and were so impressed with the experience. We can't wait to return!

Located on a hillside with a patio area that has gorgeous views of Sonoma County. I had the Come Over October complimentary tasting that included 4 wines. Róse, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay and Syrah. We were also poured P2 and a white wine blend. Their tasting menu had a customized welcome with our party's name on it. Nice personalized touch. Our host Carina was very knowledgeable and super nice. Enjoyed chatting with her. Their signature wine style is restrained and elegant (as described by Copian) and I would agree. My first time here and it was an amazing visit. I love the small intimate atmosphere of this winery. I Will be back - as I became a member! Can't wait to attend one of their events.

Thoughtful wines, charming staff, and outstanding views. Worth a visit for sure (and very welcoming to our pup)!

Recommended to this winery by a friend who raves about this place. Went with the tasting which was red heavy, which I enjoyed. The sommelier was fantastic. She spent a lot of time with us not only talking about wine but about her experience in the wine industry and how she got there. Very interesting. My fave of the tasting was the pairings with the cheese and cherry gele was my absolute fave - it paired so well with the wine. The duck sausage was unique. Lovely setting overlooking many vineyards, quiet and relaxing. A great experience. Would do this exact tasting again. Well done guys!! Love the experience.

Our tastings for the day with a couple of bonus's and Michael's suggestions for great dining. ALL were excellent

A perfect way to start of day of tasting. Our host Michael Armstrong was a wealth of knowledge. The vineyard is a beautiful property with indoor and outdoor tasting areas.

Lovely wine, people and atmosphere! Maura, the Estate Manager, was so informative and a joy to talk to throughout the tasting. Would 100% come back again!

Went here as part of a 40th birthday celebration trip. Hands-down the most beautiful winery we went to with beautiful outdoor seating area and view. The tasting was supposed to consist of five but our server Michael brought an additional three which was wonderful. He was also super friendly and knowledgeable, and made the experience great. They even added a customized note to the menu for the birthday. Highly recommend visiting this place if you're going to the Sonoma / Napa area.

Beautiful vineyard and intimate tasting room. This was the first stop to our wine tasting tour. My friends and I actually passed the turn off the road the first time because the sign is small and easy to miss. Once you turn in, you'll need to make another turn, right I believe, and the sign with the arrow was again small. But, there's no way to miss it as you are forced to make a right or a left. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted. The tasting room was cozy and clean. The small touches they had (eg. Lotion in the bathroom, flight menu) were great. The wines themselves were also delicious! We had 3 of the same poured out at a time, and that helped for comparison. We also had a cup of soup, cheese wedge, and toast to pair with the wines, and that was a nice surprise as it was a little chilly. The wine sommelier was knowledgeable and gave us insightful background as to the region and characteristics of the grapes. He was friendly and answered any questions we had. Further, he is a local and offered recommendations on other wineries! All in all, this was the majority favorite for the group (12 people).

We had a truly exceptional experience with Phil today. The tasting was perfectly curated with small meats, cheeses etc. And the view was incredible. The outdoor patio was a relaxing ambiance to sit and enjoy the tasting. This place came highly recommend by numerous friends in the wine community and it did not disappoint! We are happy new club members :)

FIVE STARS FOR MICHAEL AND OUR EXPERIENCE! Seriously loved our pandemic tasting experience, especially the tables in the outdoor area that were perfectly spaced and I appreciated the set up outside that made it so the the sun wasn't blaring on our faces (which would have make our experience unpleasant... It's the little things lol!). My husband and I opted for the "Classic" Flight, which was a $30 tasting for 4 wines (we had one white and 3 reds). Made a reservation on a Sunday at 10:45, and when we arrived, they were prepared and expecting us. Can I also just shoutout how PERSONALIZED this place was! Right when we sat down, we were welcomed with a personalized printed menu! Ugh, I'm a sucker for stuff like that lmao Michael, the person who hosted our tasting, was so knowledgeable and easygoing. He would come around to check on us at perfect times, and was mindful about when to leave us alone. He definitely has a lot of experience in the field and you can tell he genuinely loves what he's doing. I appreciated that during the pours he really talked about what made each wine unique. On top of that, he really personalized our experience by asking what our favorite Pinot Noir qualities were and then gave us two extra Pinot tastings that were similar to our favorite qualities (that weren't on our tasting menu!!). Seriously, that was so appreciated. We even ended up going home with two bottles of the Pinot Noir he poured extra for us :') Overall their wines were great and I wanted to shoutout the Syrah we tried in our tasting flight! Would definitely recommend wine-o's to come see what Copain is all about! Thank you for making our wine tasting experience during this weird time an enjoyable one, Michael!

I'm still warming up to Pinot Noir, but Copain may have pushed me over the edge. After years of loving the bigger reds, I'm growing more and more enamored of lighter yet complex tastes, and Copain has this covered. First off, the winery itself is small and beautiful, whitewashed, and modern. The hosts in the tasting room are exceedingly friendly and the others guests (we came here for a wine event) looked like they stepped out of the pages of the Hampton Gazette. I have never seen so many sundresses, small dogs and crisp cotton shirts, outside of Bridgehampton. This is by no means meant as a dig, just have never seen this many well healed, young wine drinkers out in chinos in one spot. Clearly, they have built a cult following with millennial wine enthusiasts. Perhaps its because they manage some light yet complex wines (whites, a rose, and pinots seem to be the specialty of the house.) This small, jewel box winery itself is stunningly set up on a hillside, overlooking the vines. Recommend joining the wine club for their private events.

Was able to snag a last minute reservation on July 4th thanks to the help of Chris. Thanks Chris for the fast responses to my questions and for calling me as soon as a reservation opened up. Really appreciate the extra mile you went to help make this a special experience! Despite sold out reservations, Copain did a very good job of making sure it was safe and socially distant. There were only 3 other parties present on a property that could easily fit 4x more. Lots of space btwn all of us, everyone wore masks. It was actually quite nice because the wine tasting felt very private and intimate. Views were beautiful, wine was very delicious! If you're cautious and responsible, definitely recommend this winery as a getaway!

I made reservations for two adults and two young teenagers on a Tuesday morning and were the first guests to arrive that day. We were greeted with a welcome glass and were told they were setting up our table. That gave us enough time to do a couple of selfies and within minutes, we were escorted inside. Season Leef was our host/wine ambassador that morning and we loved her energy, attention to detail and how she treated us like we were members of the MacRostie Winery/family. She was more about understanding our palettes and pouring us what we gravitated towards to showcase the vast portfolio Heidi (winemaker) has been able to produce. Usually not a fan of Chardonnays but it was a neat experience tasting different variables and how each one is slightly different. We know we like Pinot Noirs so when we started diving into the reds, thats when we started figuring out what we liked. Ended up purchasing a bottle of their 2022 Nightwing Vineyard 828 Clone Pinot Noir :chefkiss: My two young teens are used to being at wineries with us so they're pretty good about keeping themselves occupied on their own (even with out devices). But, I really appreciated that Season brought over some paper and a pack of markers for them since they both still like to draw. Plus, we had a couple of good sessions of tic tac toe while we sipped and took our time. We had a great experience here thanks to Season! Seeing that they're dog friendly, we'll bring our 4 legged family member next time.

You will get 4 wine tastings, for us it was 2 reds and 2 whites, and a charcuterie plate with cheese, salami, and seasonal fruits and crackers. Wine quality was great. The white wines had a clean and crisp taste with that bright acidity and mineral finish. The reds had a very deep grapefruit aromatic and earthy undertone. After we've done with wine tasting, they gave us a free piece of dark chocolate (super yummy) at the end for palate cleanser. Our server was really knowledgeable and attentive though, so service was nice. Overall a great spot if you stay cool! But okay, few things to watch out for. Make sure you make a reservation in advance cuz they were packed (reservations needed prepayment). Even though we had one, we still had to wait like 20 minutes before our table was ready. Also, definitely ask to sit inside in the summer!! We sat outside and there is no AC, it was so hot we couldn't fully enjoy the graveyard view, it's way too sweaty for the summer.
