As both dog and wine lovers, my husband and I were happy to discover your wine and tasting room shortly after moving to California last year. We've eagerly brought family and friends to Mutt Lynch and have enjoyed warm hospitality there. Until recently. My friend from Illinois and I visited the tasting room mid afternoon on Sunday, April 6. While exchanging pleasantries with the salesperson, we found we had all lived in the same area of Illinois. At this point, the salesperson asked my friend whether she's Jewish. Taken by surprise, my friend replied that she was. The salesperson then went on to tell an account of having had an encounter with rude people at a grocery store in Illinois and later being told it was because they were Jewish. She then said she was probably "going to hell" for telling this story. My friend and I were, frankly, dumbfounded by the entire exchange. And you can imagine how embarrassed I was for my friend to have experienced that at a place I told her she would love, given her obsession with dogs. The fact that A) the salesperson asked whether my friend was Jewish and then B) proceeded to tell a story that slandered Jews was offensive and unacceptable. As a result, I no longer consider Mutt Lynch to be a safe space to bring friends and family. Given the past business we've spent at ML, I'm saddened to realize that the salesperson we encountered today is actually the owner. read more

We stopped into this Boutique tasting room on a rainy afternoon. We were reluctant to bring our 2 GSD inside as they can be a bit overwhelming however we were told they are more than welcome and were greeted with treats for them. They offered exceptional customer service and made us feel very welcome. The host was very friendly and knowledgeable. We purchased a bottle of the miss understood Pinot Noir, it was lighter bodied and very smooth. Would definitely recommend for your next outing with your furry friend. read more

My husband and I walked in on Sunday during this past Memorial Day Weekend with our corgi. We had previously wanted to check this tasting room during our last trip to Windsor but didn't make it in time. We were greeted with one of the friendliest staff I have ever met for a wine tasting room! We chose to sit outside since there was plenty of outdoor seating. Shelly (sorry if I misspelled your name) took care of us with our wine tasting, which is $20 each. You can check in for a BOGO deal or buy a bottle to have that tasting fee waived. We ended up buying 2 bottles and a few goodies. I loved all the little gifts in the shop and probably could've gone crazy with my credit card but I had to have self control. The wines were actually really good and I loved the names of the bottles. Shelly would tell us the story of how the owner Brenda came up with the name, which I always enjoy. She brought out the cutest barkcuterie board with treats for our corgi. Come on! Who doesn't love getting treats for their furry friends? Our corgi happily ate all the treats. Would highly recommend anyone who loves dogs and have dogs to come by this tasting room to have an adult and dog treat. Thanks again for giving us one of the best tasting experience we've ever had! And I've been wine tasting for 11 years in Sonoma County since moving to the Bay Area. What a wonderful winery! I'm a huge dog lover so when someone mentioned that this place was dog friendly, I just had to check it out! Funny thing is I drive past it everyday on my way to work but never really thought much of it. The staff is super friendly and inviting they are very knowledgeable in the wine they provide to their clientele. My mom is a wine drinker, myself not so much. I as more there for the doggy vibes , hehehe. One of the wines we got, was cool because they allowed into get a pic of my moms dog on it! How cool is that! I came across this winery while searching for dog-friendly places in the area. I must admit that I came here not for the wine, but for the unique experience for our four-legged friends. We were welcomed by the nicest staff. I forgot the name of the lady who was helping us, but she made us feel welcome and gave us a quick tour of the place. We sat outdoors. She first brought a dog bed for our pooch to make her comfortable, followed by a charcuterie board of dog treats. My dog had a fun time here. We did one flight of wine tasting. The wines also have a dog-themed name with a picture of a dog, and the tasting fees are waived if you buy a bottle, which we did. You can also order to have your own dog's picture on the wine bottle, but you need to place the order ahead of time. And there are plenty of dog themed goodies for pet owners as well as pets. I absolutely love this winery that I went to for the first time this week! I am biased since I'm a huge dog lover. This place is very dog friendly and the owner gives back a portion of all the wine purchased to charities supporting dogs. All purchases give 10% to charity and some select wines donate 25% of their sales to specific charities supporting dogs. The friend I was with prefered red wine so we ended up getting a couple of glasses instead of doing the wine tasting. The wine was amazing (both glasses) and this winery is in the Town Green so there is lots of restaurants and shops that are nearby. I didn't bring my pup, although we saw a dog in the winery that had grabbed multiple stuffed animals out of a basket they had set out for pups and stuffed them all in his mouth. It gave us a good laugh. The vibe was relaxing and the woman pouring our wine (I unfortunately forgot her name) was friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming, and we had a wonderful time wine tasting. The tasting room is adorable and has lots of items that are perfect for dogs and their two legged companions. You can even purchase a bottle of wine with a picture of your dog on the label that you can pick up or have delivered at a later date, which would make a good gift for birthdays, Christmas, and other holidays. Fairly tasty wines and very cute wine/dog shop. The shop itself is tiny and only has room for a few people to drink inside. They have a parklet outside which has way more seating and was nice to sit at and do a tasting, but the main street of Windsor can be a bit loud with people overcompensating for things who drive annoyingly loud/big cars & trucks in circles around town. They gave our doggo a little bed, a "barkcuterie" treat flight, water, and some toys to keep her entertained while we did our tasting, so that was very nice and cute. And the store had a lot of cute dog and wine stuff in it. The wines themselves were fairly tasty and a bit less expensive than many other wineries in the area. read more

If you're a fan of dogs, you will absolutely love this winery! This is by far one of the most dog friendly tasting rooms that I've ever been to. The wine bottles feature beautiful handmade artwork of dogs. The owner is a dog lover and it is very apparent throughout the tasting room. What's great about Mutt Lynch is this a portion of your wine purchase is donated to dog rescue foundations. I always admire a business that gives back to the community. A tasting will cost you $10 and will get you 5 pours from their current tasting menu (the fee is waived with bottle purchase). Their wines are reasonably priced and also very tasty. My favorite was their red blend which was a mix of earthy and jammy. You'll find many locals who'll come in for a glass of wine here. It's conveniently located right in the heart of Windsor, making a visit here even more attractive. Becca was an excellent host and very passionate about that wines. It's a really fun and casual tasting room. I ended up purchasing three bottles of their wine while I was there. My only nitpick was that the wines that I bought didn't last for very long. It could have been something that I did on accident, but when I opened the bottles at home, they just didn't taste the same. I can't be sure that it was actually the wine itself or not, but I haven't yet experience this with any other bottles of wine that I've purchased. We have visited Mutt Lynch twice. My husband has family in Santa Rosa. We found the place last year and went in to taste some wine. Our daughter was with us. She has cognitive disabilities and even though she wasn't into the wine, she enjoyed meeting the dogs who were hanging out with their families in the tasting room. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we went back when we visited family this year. We walked out with 2 bottles of wine after our tasting. I purchased from Groupon a chocolate and wine pairing for Mutt Lynch Winery. Chocolates always pair well with chocolates! They paired 5 wines with 5 different chocolates. And actually the tasting room is a co-op as it is shared with Deux Amis so the pairing was with Deux Amis and Mutt Lynch wines. Unfortunately I didn't get a good picture of the various wines but 2 were 2012 Deux Amis Zinfandel's, one was from the Manasser Vineyards and the other was Shadick Vineyards, the 3rd was a 2012 Pinot Noir and the bottles were turned in my picture for the 2 Mutt Lynch Winery wines but they were from their MBF collection (Man's Best Friend). Despite my not having the names of the MLW wines all the wines were very good, fruit forward and paired very well with the various chocolates that they had which were from a local chocolatier in Healdsburg. The owner of Mutt Lynch worked hand-in-hand with the chocolatier to match their chocolates with the wines. They do a wine tasting fundraiser, I believe they said it was once month and the "cover charge" to come in and taste on a specific day could be $10 and it goes to a local animal shelter, etc. something to do with animals. All the labels have animals on them and there are some from local artist as the owner will post on Facebook that she is looking for a new label, the local artists will submit their pictures and then people on social media vote on the labels. Prices for the wines are very reasonable. The tasting room is small, hasn't been opened too long but they are hoping to reach more and more people. Wines are only sold at the tasting room. If you like chocolates I suggest going onto Groupon and seeing if they are offering the chocolate and wine pairing for 2. Also, doing a check-in gets you 10% off your wine purchase. We absolutely LOVED our wine tasting at Mutt Lynch. All of their wines are delicious and at a completely reasonable price point. They donate proceeds of certain bottles to local humane societies. I didn't need to redeem their check in offer because your tasting fee is waived with a purchase of any bottle. I took home a Chardonnay and two bottles of the Duex Amis reds. Deciding on those three was tough, as all of their wines are solid. They have three flights to choose from and most focus on reds. They were all really balanced and ranged from dry to rich, so there is something for everyone. Our attendant was so incredibly patient with our group. We dropped in unannounced and are kind of a rowdy crew. She invited us to sit at the table and kept track of who had what. When one of the ladies in our group accidently flung a fresh pour into my lap, our server rushed to get me a damp cloth and stain remover spray. She was so sweet and calm, while surrounded by our chaos. All of their little pup related souvenirs and trinkets are so cute! Thank you for your excellent service and warm welcome. My dad and I had an impromptu wine tasting day a couple of weekends ago and we were looking for a tasting room near Windsor that did not require reservations. We stumbled upon Mutt Lynch online and decided to give it a try since we are huge dog people. We had such a nice time. The little shop was adorable and the woman who helped us was so lovely. Not to mention the wine! We went home with two bottles! I only took away one star because the outdoor seating was very uncomfortable. The chairs were very tiny and I felt like I was going to break it the entire time. I can only imagine how my 6'2" 250lb dad felt. What an awesome place! A wine distributor that I work with highly recommended Mutt Lynch wines. I already had a trip planned out to wine country so I knew I had to make a stop here. The tasting room was perfect- dog friendly, clean, cute gifts. Our host was awesome (I forgot his name). He took us through the delicious wines and we got to taste some chocolates too! My favorite was the Primitivo and we ended up getting a bottle to take home. I love that the winemaker has such a love for dogs. They do events here to raise money for animal groups.
