Cloverleaf Ranch is a magical place! Our nine-year-old just returned from his second year of sleep-away camp (He attended the day camp when he was younger.) and he has so many positive things to say. The counselors were fun and supportive. The activities were engaging. Thomas loved the food. This year he encouraged a friend from school to join him. That boy had a great time, and they both made new friends too. Thomas came back with greater confidence and displaying more independence too. We can't wait to get back the pictures he took with his disposable camera! What I love best, besides hearing the stories about him getting up early to care for the horses that he once found intimidating, was the call we received from Dawn mid-week. We weren't worried. We've had great experiences at Cloverleaf. We know the ratios of campers to counselors allows for attentive care. Still, the mid-week phone call telling us how his week was going just reinforced how much the staff really cares. For this reason, Cloverleaf will continue to be a Cremidis family tradition for many years to come. Next year, little brother will be old enough for residential camp and he's already making plans for how he'll spend his time. read more

I feel like parents should know the teen leaders they employ are from some summer study abroad program and are boys sent here from other countries (New Zealand, Australia, etc.) and they aren't allowed to disclose their names (my daughter's camp leader was named "Cobra"). I didn't feel comfortable with this arrangement and am glad I didn't sign my daughter up for sleep-away camp. She enjoyed the day camp but the staff seemed more concerned with protecting themselves rather than allowing parents to protect their children. I was expecting some nice local horse riding girls to mentor her and instead had to leave her with boys who wouldn't tell me their names. She won't be back. read more

I absolutely recommend Cloverleaf Ranch to any family considering horseback lessons for themselves or their children. We've been at their ranch since September 2024, and every single staff member we've encountered (including office, groundskeeping, and instructional staff) has presented themselves with the utmost professionalism, kindness, and enthusiasm. They've taught our boys how to ride and care for horses in a safe and skilled manner, all while exhibiting patience, dignity, and grace. They are friendly and welcoming at all times, and I feel no hesitation to trust our instructors with the safety of my children. The safety of their students and horses are of primary concern here--as it should be. I must offer an extra special thank you to Mia and Izzy, who have always made it their goal to teach my kids everything they possibly can about riding and equestrian care. It has been a blessing and a joy to work with them, and we love them both dearly! What an incredible summer! My 13 yr old niece went to Resident Camp this summer and had the time of her life! She has never done a sleep away camp before and she was VERY nervous about spending time away from her family. (And her freeking phone.) The staff there did such a great job calming her nerves and tackling her fears. She sent us a letter telling us she didn't ever want to leave. I have never heard someone talk about a zip line so much. Her counselor Reef was fantastic. We can't wait to sign her up for next summer! Thank you for teaching her there are much better things in this world than spending all your time on your phone. I don't recommend taking your kids here. A staff member terrified the children when my disabled adult daughter was just looking at the horses from the sidewalk. We were looking into having her ride there but the staff created a scene and was aggressive. This is not how to teach children how to interact with with others or welcome new customers. read more

My 13-year old son attended the sleep-away summer camp, and the vast majority of the other kids were much younger (under 10). Within the first two days of camp, two of the older kids were sent home from the camp for actions which were absolutely not reasons I would think would require sending someone home from the camp and forfeiting their parent's (not inexpensive) tuition money. The worst part of this was that the camp did not explain, in any way, to my son what happened to his new friends. He was scared and worried and concerned for their safety, and the camp refused to confirm that they were safe. Many of the counselors were very nice and my son really liked them. Two counselors were not good. The first was a male who actually physically pushed my son's friend out of the way. The second was a female who, when my son was upset about his missing friends and was crying, told him to "stop acting like a baby" and said his friend who was no longer at camp was a "bad person." When we picked our son up from camp after his first solo week away from home, this had all built up to a point where he was emotionally distraught. We had spent the week thinking he had had a wonderful time, only to find out that he had been struggling emotionally for days and no one had offered him any support. I cannot recommend this camp for anyone, but especially not kids over 10. The camp does not train their counselors how to deal with older children who have more complex analytical and emotional capacities than the little ones, and the camp's response to dealing with the older kids appears to be to send them home with the slimmest of excuses. read more

Cloverleaf ranch is a great place to learn how to ride and be confident on and around horses. I had only ever gone on a few trail rides on vacation and wanted to take lessons to further my education on horseback. I've now had the pleasure of taking lessons with two of the instructors at cloverleaf and I've learned so much and gained so much confidence and knowledge with riding and handling horses from the ground. The staff is so friendly and you really feel like part of the team as a student. I went to Cloverleaf Ranch for horse riding lessons because it is close to me, just try to find a place which is in the town. I am a beginner as well, only had trail riding experience in the national park, so I have no idea how it would go. What a wonderful experience!!! They are super friendly, the check-in process is so fast. My trainer is River, I had horse riding lessons and trail riding with her. River is super nice and professional, not only teaching riding but also telling me about the horses and the trails. I felt very comfortable with her. I can't say enough good things about Cloverleaf Ranch! For many years, with the help of the Rotary Club, my organization has been able to send students to Cloverleaf for the experience of a lifetime. Many of the students that have been chosen to attend camp would usually never have the option to attend if it wasn't for the amazing Cloverleaf staff and the fundraising done by Rotary. Besides having an awesome traditional summer camp for all kids from different walks of life, Cloverleaf also has a great therapeutic environment for students who have been through traumatic situations. They train their staff to be involved and active to they can help students by providing them the tools they need to feel successful. They do all of this while giving children their first taste of real independence and hands-on life skills. Almost all of our students have come back from camp with the best stories, shared experiences, and overall just joy from the time they had. Even with the fires, Cloverleaf is still re-building and giving back, and still provided camp for needy children. This was so touching and important for the community to know.....even with the fact the camp has experienced so much loss, they still wanted to give back to the community. Cloverleaf has forever changed the lives of students, and I hope they can continue to persevere for many years to come. I had my twins 10th birthday party at the ranch and we had a ball!!! it was a scorching hot day, 102 f, but we enjoyed ourselves none the less! We started off with horseback riding, which was with only one horse (and 14 kids) so it was a slow start, but thankfully it picked up as we headed off to zip lining. Even the adults joined in the fun!!! That was the highlight!!! We also did the archery, but if I had it to do over again I would have went with the riflery instead. We ended the day with a fun time in the pool, which was incredibly refreshing after being out in the blazing heat most of the day. And we made good use of the BBQ area as well! The staff were all incredibly helpful, which we very much appreciated!!! Shawna was a big help with coordinating my needs and budget! A big thank you for your hospitality and in making this birthday party one that will be very memorable!!! I applied for the scholarship program for my 6 year old this last summer in July. He went to summer camp for 1 week Monday through Friday 9-5 pm. The cost was $200 for 1 week but it's on a 12 month payment plan. $20 is taken out of my bank account electronically on the 1st of every month. I can also pay it off early too. My son had so much fun. The camp included healthy lunches and snacks. He did different activities every day along with swimming every day. He did a zip line and games and archery. My son is very active so this program was perfect for him. I'm so thankful for the scholarship program because I have three sons so camp is not always an option. read more

I came here last week with my two boys who are 12 and 13 to take an hour long riding lesson. I have not been on a horse in 10+ years and my boys have never ridden. Our instructor Tammy was awesome! She was very through explaining everything before we did it and has such a passion for the horses it was very comforting knowing that she knew the horses we were on so well. We got off to a little bit of a late start with our lesson, we had to find boots and helmets that fit us (provided by Cloverleaf) but when the lesson was over we had been there for over two hours. It was great! it wore by boys out and gave me a bit of confidence and they were able to listen to Tammy and do everything she asked even though I struggle to get that behavior at home. I would strongly suggest anyone looking into horse back ridding lessons to visit here and ask for Tammy. She means business is the best way possible. They also have a summer camps both day and lodging from my understanding that we are planning on checking out next year. read more

I went to Cloverleaf for three summers when I was a child and they were the best summers of my life. The camp counselors were kind, fun, and responsible. The cabins for overnight camp were magical (I felt like a real cowgirl). The camp itself is so large it's easy to forget you're in a city. Everything was organized perfectly. My granddaughter has attended camp at Cloverleaf Ranch since she was 6 years old and she is now 13. She eagerly looks forward to this camp every year. In addition to the fun she experiences, the camp program and staff have helped her gain confidence and develop life skills, such as teamwork, leadership and responsibility. When I picked her up this summer on the last day, she cried because she said she would miss everyone. I was amazed that the staff pulled it together and made camp available after their facility was destroyed by the Tubbs fire. My husband and I got married at Cloverleaf Ranch about a month ago and it was our PERFECT wedding venue! We wanted something outdoors and casual yet elegant, and Cloverleaf was everything we could have hoped for an more! Dinner outside at sunset overlooking a vineyard, ceremony on a big lawn with horses grazing in the background, dancing in the candle lit barn. It was all just dreamy! Shawna and her staff were incredible. They made everything happen that we envisioned and were always cheerful and helpful when we called. We were able to come visit the site several times before the wedding day to make plans which was a huge help. Moreover, we were on a budget and Cloverleaf made our wine country wedding affordable. They also had the capacity to hold 250+ guests, which is hard to find in Sonoma County I found. If you want to host a rustic chic wedding or event, Cloverleaf is your place.
