    Burger. Pretty basic.

I have to be honest with you: not impressed. Overall, I'd say it was "fine". View is gorgeous because you really can't miss in Healdsburg. Service was OK, but we did have to wait quite a while to order and the drinks seemed to take a long time to come out whereas the food came out quickly. Confusing. The Bloody Mary I got was good but basic. The real letdown for me was the food though. This is a "high end" restaurant. The food was not high end to me. It was really comparable to any other American restaurant that you would go to and came at a much higher price. I also felt the options were very limited for brunch. My husband had the burger and I had the chilaquiles. Both were fine, good, but nothing where we said "wow" or felt like it was much better than any other place in town where we could've gotten those dishes. In my opinion, skip it. There's certainly better places in Healdsburg.

Hazel Hill is a restaurant inside the Montage, a beautiful hotel set upon a hill with views. Upscale definitely. Which means you have to valet your car if you want to eat there. It's a minor inconvenience if you're just going for brunch as I was. The food: I had the walnut French toast. Nice presentation. Banana flavor. The eggs Benedict with ham and avocado is also a solid choice. The porchetta sandwich seemed like it was just some pieces of ham. You don't get that nice round slice ...there is an amazing place at the Ferry building and nothing else has been able to match it. Overall, the food was good but not spectacular. It was brunch though so sometimes that's pretty standard. Go for the views and the service!!

Wow! What a treat to dine outside at Hazel Hill on a warm summer evening, overlooking the vineyards. Such a beautiful setting with a delicious seasonal menu and tasty craft cocktails....makes me feel like I'm on vacation. We've been back a few times recently and have explored the menu with friends: *Goguette sourdough - duck fat, herb butter (amazing!!!) *Hazel Hill Salad - local greens, fromage blanc, cider vinaigrette *Sonoma Tomato Avocado Salad - herb green goddess, california extra virgin olive oil (such a summer treat!) *Spaghetti Chittara - dungeness crab, fennel, saffron, calabrian chile *Alaskan Halibut - smoked eggplant, summer squash, sauce vierge *Grilled Pork Chop - roasted local peaches, porcini mushrooms, mustard jus *Hazel Hill Burger - morbier cheese, caramelized onions, horseradish aioli *Wagyu Center Cut Loin - mushroom, spinach, summer truffle, zinfandel jus We recommend all of it!!! You can't go wrong! Beautiful and flavorful preparations. Serene setting. Be sure to look into the open kitchen to watch some of the magic happen. Valet parking at the hotel is free for diners - just bring some cash to tip the staff. Enjoy!

We arrived at the restaurant around 7 PM on a Wednesday, and even though it wasn't very busy, the service was extremely slow. It took about 30 minutes just to get our drinks. I ordered an espresso martini while my brothers got margaritas. Unfortunately, my espresso martini was one of the worst I've had--and I'm a big espresso martini fan, so that was disappointing. There were five of us, and the service never really improved throughout the night. To make things worse, when we discovered we had been overcharged on our bill. Because of that delay, we didn't end up leaving until about 10:18 PM. On a positive note, the food was tasty. The young chef deserves real recognition you could tell he put effort, skill, and creativity into each dish. His work was definitely the highlight of the evening. Overall, the chef's talent stood out, but the slow service, poor drink quality, and rude management made the experience frustrating. I hope things improve, because the food has potential to shine with better service and leadership.

Beautiful restaurant on a gorgeous winery and five-star resort! Wow!! Service was lovely and so professional. I love the open concept kitchen and how a team came out to serve our dishes. Hand-Crafted Cocktails were not only beautiful, they were also delicious! I had the Jackalope - gorgeous orange color with the delicate flavors of carrot and ginger. My friend had the Helios Martini which was delightfully and lightly sweetened with passionfruit. For brunch, our table ordered: Hazel Hill Benedict: Perfectly cooked eggs and the sauce was lovely and creamy. Hazel Hill Burger: Filling and delicious! Westholme Wagyu Steak Frites: Cooked to perfection! Every bite melted in your mouth and it was seasoned so well. The bernaise sauce complemented the beef so well. I've never enjoyed a steak as much as this. And the fries were spot on. For dessert, we had the mini ricotta donuts (to die for!) and the oat milk creme brulee. Yes! It's non-dairy and it was so creamy and rich. Would love to return on a warmer day to enjoy sitting outside.

This place was stunning. The steak frites and French toast were both to die for and the view and decor were perfect. Service was also so nice and welcoming. Definitely coming back here whenever I'm in Healdsburg

Beautiful restaurant with sweeping views of the Montage vineyards and distant mountains. Staff are attentive and friendly including a very approachable sommelier (not pretentious and stuffy). They have a seasonal menu so items will change but let's just say our dinner was so enjoyable, we canceled reservations outside of Montage just to dine there again the following night. First Night: Goguette Sourdough Golden Osetra caviar which was delectable! Corn soup which was had an amazing fresh, sweet corn taste! Wagyu Strip Loin paired with the most fantastic mushrooms Liberty Farms Duck was something I could eat daily. The skin was charred crispy but with some chew which and brushed delicately with a sweet glaze. It was perfection. BlackBerry Chocolate Cake Second Night: For some reason, the second night was not as tasty. We did order almost brand new items but definitely more disappointed. Goguette Sourdough Hit up the Golden Osetra caviar again! Ahi Tuna Tartare--delicious Prime Steak--so so Pork Chop--not seasoned well. Only salted by the bone. I can't remember the dessert but it took almost 20 mins to receive that we asked to cancel the order. They brought it out a min after and waived the charge. But it wasn't good and we didn't even finish it. Their Sunday Breakfast Buffet for $39 was well worth it, especially for all the fresh fruit that was offered.

I've been here a few times with small groups and big groups. Hazel Hill/Montage notably excels in two areas... Drinks and service. While I haven't always been completely wowed by the food, the presentation and overall ambiance is always worth the trip to the hills for a visit. Outdoor seating is a must try although indoor dining is just as beautiful. Hazel hill is a great spot for groups and dates. The front room is a great spot for drinks and social hour as well. Overall 7/10.

We almost skipped Hazel Hill after reading a few negative reviews online, but thank goodness we didn't listen to the "Karens." From start to finish, our experience was absolutely outstanding. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere elegant yet comfortable, and the service flawless. Our server, Sophia, was truly incredible -- attentive, kind, and clearly passionate about what she does. Every detail was thoughtful and elevated without feeling pretentious. Hazel Hill exceeded every expectation and is now one of our favorite dining experiences anywhere. Highly recommend!

Gorgeous view of the vineyard. Loved the duck breast but not a fan of the Porchetta. The vegan chocolate cake was very nice. Definitely order the milk bread with mascarpone and honey; goes perfectly with salad. Buon appetito!

It's always more pleasant and exciting to write a good review. We started with scallop ceviche, featuring lemongrass Thai curry, as well as pumpkin with candied pecans and chilies. Lori enjoyed a nice king salmon, and I savored a beautiful duck breast. For dessert, we had Brooklyn Blackout Cake and donuts. Everything exceeded our expectations at the resort restaurant, and we can't wait to return for our next week of debauchery!

I got the saffron chittarra and that was good but my husband got the salmon and said would not order again. Everyone was really nice but took a really long time. Overall food was pretty good and service was nice but given it's the montage we were not impressed. We've been to several montage locations and this was maybe the least impressive.

The experience was fabulous. I failed to take more pictures because of the overall event. The service was very attentive but not pretentious which is something I had worried about. Everything was what I would have expected from a location such as this. The food was excellent, the cocktails were superb, and as noted the service was excellent. Not sure there is much more to say. Tip: they will validate your parking if you dine with them.

We knew immediately this was going to be a special night. We went all in with the chef's prix fixe menu, and it delivered from the very first bite. Warm, homemade dinner rolls -- fragrant with thyme, garlic, and chili flakes, served alongside pillowy whipped butter -- set the tone perfectly. We loved them so much we asked for a second basket without a moment's hesitation. The Sonoma County Organic Salad that followed was nothing short of a revelation: crisp Little Gem lettuce, Pioneer Micro Herbs and edible flowers, beautifully shaved vegetables, whipped fromage blanc, and a Green Goddess dressing that tied it all together with effortless elegance. Perfection is the only word for it. For our entrées, the Petrale Sole Meunière was a masterclass in refined, soulful cooking -- the Costeaux sourdough croutons, potato fondant, haricot verts, and caper beurre noisette working in perfect harmony. And the pork porchetta with nduja? Cooked flawlessly, bold, deeply satisfying, and utterly memorable. We paired the meal with the Valette Rosé of Pinot Noir, which has instantly earned a place among the finest rosés we've ever tasted -- vibrant, nuanced, and a dream with every course. Dessert brought the ItsNotA 'Snickers Bar' and the Almond Frangipane, both executed brilliantly and the ideal sweet finale to an extraordinary meal. Valette isn't just a great restaurant -- it's our new favorite dining destination, full stop. We'll be back, again and again.

From the very beginning of the meal, there was a clear sense of precision, elegance, and intention. The opening presentation was stunning, filled with an assortment of beautifully composed small bites featuring oyster, mushroom, sea bream, and a variety of other seasonal ingredients. Each bite felt delicate yet purposeful, showcasing both technical refinement and remarkable balance. One of the most memorable dishes of the evening was the bluefin tuna moriawase paired with strawberries. Normally, fruit in savory dishes tends to feel distracting or overly sweet to me, but the execution here was exceptional. The chefs managed to create a harmony between sweetness, tartness, acidity, and umami that elevated the tuna rather than overshadowing it. It was a dish that felt thoughtful, restrained, and incredibly well composed. The consistency throughout the progression of the menu was equally impressive. Course after course arrived with meticulous presentation and a strong sense of identity. Every dish felt polished and intentional, balancing visual artistry with flavors that were equally compelling. There was never a moment where the meal lost momentum, and the pacing allowed each course to feel distinct while still contributing to a cohesive experience. That said, there was one course that completely missed the mark for our group. The milk and honey dessert, which resembled a sponge cake topped with a whipped goat cheese foam, was overwhelmingly pungent and difficult to approach as a dessert course. The intensity of the goat cheese dominated every other component, to the point where it felt less like a composed dessert and more like being punched by a goat farm. Looking around the dining room, it seemed we were not alone in our reaction. Interestingly, when we mentioned that this was the only dish we did not enjoy, we were told, "if at least 1 out of 10 guests enjoy it, we consider it a win." It was certainly an unexpected response, especially given how polished and thoughtful the rest of the experience had been. Even with that misstep, the overall meal was exceptional. SingleThread succeeds in delivering a dining experience that feels elegant, immersive, and deeply personal. Between the artistry of the presentations, the balance of flavors, and the technical execution across the menu, it remains one of the most impressive three Michelin star experiences in California.

The smoked salmon gougeres sounded tempting, but turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. Gougeres are usually served warm, but this one was cold and tasted like a salmon-flavored cream puff. I had the gem lettuce salad next and I liked the addition of strawberries. However, the salad was so drenched in miso vinaigrette that was all you could taste. Overdressed like wearing a tuxedo to a hoedown. I then had "Mary's" version of cordon bleu rolled with chicken and ham on a bed of polenta with spinach and oyster mushrooms with a Dijon jus. It sounded wonderful on the menu, but it was a letdown, oddly flavorless. As I was eating it a local regular next to me said I should have ordered something else - it was not his favorite. How I wish he'd sat down before I ordered!

Only the bar offers à la carte. We chose the three‑course menu, and it was absolutely worth it, especially given the generous portions. Even with a reservation, we did have to wait a bit, but the team immediately rectified the situation and brought our party of six welcome cocktails, setting the tone for the excellent service all evening. DCK also offers a $30 per bottle corkage fee (max two), which I highly recommend taking advantage of (you are in wine country after all). Once we were seated, the service was excellent and genuinely attentive. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and on top of the details without hovering. The food was exceptional across the board -- beautifully prepared, balanced, and exactly what you hoped for. Dry Creek Kitchen is the kind of place that feels special but still approachable. We'd absolutely come back.
