When I learned we were going to be traveling near this fantastic restaurant again, I immediately booked a reservation for us to dine. This time we went for a leisurely afternoon lunch. It was a bit warm but we really enjoyed dining outside this time. We had a friendly and warm server named Guadalupe and she provided everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Thank you! This time we ordered the 10 Layer Lasagna with the Domenica's sauce and one with Richard's meat sauce. This is still the best lasagna I have ever ate. Love the ricotta, the goat cheese, parmesan and herbs. It just doesn't get any better than this. The Domenica's sauce stole the show though. This sauce is magic! Along with our meal, we paired a 2023 Pastori Old Vine Zinfandel. It absolutely complimented this meal. For dessert we went with the Passion Fruit Sorbet with blackberries. So refreshing and closed out our delightful lunch. I cannot recommend this place enough. Service is always top notch, food is out of this world delicious with so many homemade choices to choose from. Staff was incredibly rude and unprofessional and needs some big-time attitude adjustments. My family had a big wedding rehearsal dinner there, well over 100 guests. At one point my girlfriend and I were walking from the outside courtyard where the dinner was taking place toward the inside of the restaurant, innocently looking for the restrooms. Some employee with a beard, without saying a word, aggressively steps right in front of us to block our path, as if we we were two homeless people trying to walk in off the street. Doesn't ask "can I help you find something"? or do anything that a cordial person in the restaurant business would do. He just stares at us with a stupid smirk on his face. Seriously, clown? After a couple of awkward seconds, I ask where the bathrooms are and he finally points them out to us. What's worse, at the end of the night, my niece was leaving with her husband when another female staff member rudely told them they couldn't exit directly out the parking lot (even though it was the same entrance where people came in at beginning of the party) and actually grabbed my niece's arm. My niece told her "don't touch me." This staff person then went inside the restaurant and my niece heard the employee screaming in anger. Incredible that this is how their people treat their customers during a huge event. The owner should be completely embarrassed by their employees' unprofessional and rude behavior. They might want to get their employees some anger management training or better yet hire new ones that have experience in the hospitality industry. Until then, pretty sure we can get good meatballs and lasagna some place else that doesn't treat paying customers like garbage. read more

It was my first time visiting Catelli's, but my friends are regulars and knew exactly what to order. We decided to share several dishes family-style, which was the perfect way to sample a variety of menu items. Every single dish was a 10+ in my book! The food was absolutely delicious, and I can see why my friends keep coming back. The service was impeccable from start to finish. The restaurant was easy to find, and I loved the charming décor it felt like a genuine Italian restaurant with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. One of my favorite surprises was the Limoncello Spritz. There was a very small mix up with our order and Catelli's took the initiative to recognize it, apologize and remove items off our bill as a thanks. Catellis is an old school Italian red sauce that has been a local favorite for a long time. Getting a last minute reso is tough, so we stopped in at about 4:30 and we're seated immediately. Food is excellent and for anyone gluten free a good choice. We started with gluten free garlic bread and I have to say it was really great. You had no idea it was gluten free. It was quite good. Next up was the Catelli's salad. It was good, but next time I'm going to try the Caesar salad. Main courses were really in outstanding. The gf pasta with mushrooms, cream and chicken was mind blowing. Might be one of the best gf dishes I've ever had. The lasagna was really outstanding too. This is a classic red sauce Italian that should be on your list. Only about ten minutes north of Healdsburg, it's worth the drive. read more

We were recommended this spot from the place we were staying at in the area. When we arrived it was busy because there was a lot of Prom Students out for dinner, the hostess was very kind and apologetic that as walk ins we were unable to be be seated but she did let us know that it was first come first serve at the bar. My party sat down at the bar and it did appear the majority of the people at the bar were also eating. The Bartender and At this point our server also was incredibly. She was so busy every single one of the bar seats was taken, and she did a fantastic job balancing all of it. Overall the food was an exceptional experience. For starters we got the truffle fries, and A Minestrone soup. The truffle fries were delicious, and had a bit if a kick to them so if you dont like spicy keep that in mind. The Soup was delicious and a great size for the small soup portion. I ordered the Lasagna with meat sauce and its light delicate layers were delicious, and perfectly balanced with the cheese. The server was helpful and informative and told my friend about the Mushroom cream sauce for her ravioli that if you love mushrooms you'll love it but if you don't then steer away. And we LOVE mushrooms and the ravioli paired perfectly with the heavy mushroom cream sauce. We also got the Steak and ordered it medium rare, when it came to us and it was closer to blue/rare the server/bartender didn't hesitate to apologize and in a flash take it back. The cooks remade it and it was perfectly medium rare with that nice browning on the outside and a small bit it pink in the center. We were very satisfied and it was such a lovely touch the manager did come out before the end of our meal to ensure we were satisfied and apologized for the discrepancy in the meal. When we were in Healdsburg recently, we added Catelli's on our list of restaurants we HAD to dine at due to the amazing reviews and positive feedback from our resort concierge. We asked our resort concierge to make reservations for us a few weeks in advance of our stay and we had no issues getting our reservation for a prime time weekend dinner hour time. Geyserville is a really small town with just a few businesses and there is plenty of parking on the street and in small city lots, you really won't have an issue finding parking here. We arrived about 5-10 minutes before our reservation time and were seated immediately and were warmly greeted by everyone we interacted with and staff also wished me and my husband a happy wedding anniversary as well. The gesture and recognition was greatly appreciated! We ordered a bottle of wine to start (all ranging in price, none of the prices were too crazy and most of the wines were local to the area). We ordered a Caesar Salad to start ($10) and a Minestrone to start ($8) and we shared both of these. For entrees, we ordered the Chicken Parmesan ($29) and the Catelli's Homemade Meat Ravioli ($28). Everything we ordered was so tasty and fresh, and we loved everything we ordered! The service was also all so warm and welcoming and made us feel like we were dining at someone's home. I love that they offer specials in addition to their menu. We ordered a couple starters - meatball sliders & truffle fries (both yum). I ordered the lasagna- absolutely delicious. I'm picky with my lasagna, it's something I like to make at home. This will not disappoint, the sauce is deeply rich with 10 paper thin layers of pasta with ricotta and goat cheese in between. We also ordered the halibut with pesto risotto the fish was flaky with a beautiful crust and the risotto was very flavorful, good pairing. The cocktails are also well made and dressed up cutely. We were greeted and sat at a window table for two which was a welcomed first visit seating. Our server, Faith, was both attentive and discerning. The Beef Carpaccio was a tad bit salty but the steak was sliced very thinly and the arugula and Parmesano Reggiano were paired very well in proportion. We shared the Richard's Meat Sauce Penne Pasta and the 10 Layer Lasagne. Both were Italian comfort food personified. I was concerned that the lasagne would be overpowered by the goat cheese, but Faith assured me that it lent a creaminess without the funk. She was spot on. The dishes were served piping hot. Finally got to try Catellis after hearing great things about it. I made reservations to celebrate my 34th birthday with my family. We started with appetizers: burrata and prosciutto, garlic bread and beet salad which were all very delicious. I ordered the clam and spaghetti with white sauce and honestly I have had better clam and pasta. It was decent, felt more like spaghetti in soup. 4.5 stars! We were up in Healdsburg doing some wine tasting and were looking for an early dinner spot nearby. We were advised that since it was a holiday weekend, it would be packed and hard to get a reservation. However, we called around 3pm and were told we could get seated right away outside! A 10 minute drive later, we're indeed seated within 5 mins of arriving. The restaurant is bigger than it looks from the outside. There is a separate covered outdoor area that allowed us to bring our dog. We got the beet salad, which was delicious and much larger than we expected. The hand cut truffle fries, which initially seemed pricey at $12 but were so yummy. We finished them and had no regrets. For our mains, we got the lasagna with meat sauce and Michael's pasta. Both were delicious and portions were generous. I had enough leftover for one smaller meal. Even though we were stuffed, we couldn't say no to sharing their bread crumble for dessert. While reserving the table for lunch I asked for a seat in the patio and even though it was particularly hot with those big umbrellas and trees around it didn't feel that hot. The indoor seating is also equally unique. We ended up ordering beet salad and pasta with dc sauce for us and the kiddo. We liked both. Specially the portion sizes are big. Amazing. Every aspect of it, just amazing. From the outside this place looks very unassuming, step in and its well decorated with bar and reception area right up front. The brick exterior walls and the wood bar and flooring make for a classic rustic feel and looks right at home in North Wine Country. The other dining areas are equally classy but it's not until you go outside that you get the full picture. It opens up to a BEAUTIFUL outdoor garden with a marble & tiled bar, tiled seating area all framed by greenery. Once you sit down and take it all in with your favorite drink you are treated to a delicious Italian cuisine. I went with a large lunch party and was treated with a sausage penne in a tomato cream sauce. It wasn't too creamy and the sausage had a real nice spice to it, it was wonderfully executed. We also had a cheese lasagna which was unique compared to the lasagna's that I've had and made in the past but was still delicious. One thing that was interesting is that the party I was with has several food restrictions but that didn't stop the kitchen from bringing out Gluten Free garlic bread, Vegan and vegetarian pasta dishes for our food-sensitive friends. Lastly, and I cant state this enough, the service was EXCELLENT. Our server was patient with our large group of particular eaters, took pictures of all of us, kept the drinks rolling out and had plenty of support to keep us all fed and happy. Had some NA rose (because pregnant) the arancini special appetizer, the sourdough bread with sun-dried tomato pesto butter, and then the mushroom cream spaghetti and Michael's pasta. We had a table inside and the ambiance is so cool and comforting, but outside is equally great especially on a warm day. Now the food, firstly a lovely selection of dishes and I was bummed the special sea bass for the day had sold out and so went for the cheese ravioli and their spicy red sauce. Just delicious. Catelli's is one of those institutional places a community has that locals love and tourists love more. The food offered is Italian fare done with all local ingredients. We started out of the gate by ordering three of the four salads for the table; the Basil Caesar, the Beet, and the Kale Salad. While the Caesar and the Beet were good, the Kale Salad was exceptional! I would highly recommend the Kale salad to start. I ordered Michael's Pasta as my main while my wife had the spaghetti with clams (with red sauce). Both were delicious and there was an ample serving of it. My sister-in-law ordered the Chicken Parm, which I will order next time, because that was outstanding. The service staff are friendly, as a whole. If you're in the vicinity of Geyserville, Catelli's is a must dine experience. My favorite was the basil Caesar salad I wish I had gotten the full portion. For drinks we ordered the Blind Pig beer on draft and Our Hugo Spritz. I loved the tequila cocktail, it was minty, bubbly, and refreshing. For entrees we got the chicken parmesan and the 10 layer lasagna. They were very tasty. I originally had wanted to order the Richards meat sauce, but didn't realize that there was pork sausage in it as it wasn't mentioned on the website. I got the Domenica's sauce with the lasagna and it was still good, but it wasn't what I had planned on getting. I let the server know and he gladly let me know they were able to comp it and they would work to update the website and they didn't have to do that, but I appreciated it. When researching local eateries for a stay in Geyserville, Catelli's kept popping up. Not surprising in such a tiny town. It is one of very few options on the one lane main Main Street. I decided to watch some YouTube reviews and learned that it takes 24 hours to make the lasagna & the same care goes into the homemade raviolis. With that type of passion it has to be good. Those dishes did not disappoint. This is unlike any typical American lasagna. As noted, it is comprised of multiple, paper thin pasta layers that are deliciously delicate and tender. A must try. The ravioli's are also excellent and the fact that you can choose to split sauces was a highlight. Since we chose meat sauce for the cheese lasagna, we opted for the homemade marinara and garlic butter split. I preferred the homemade marinara while my daughter's fave was the creamy garlic butter. Very typical of our usual pasta taste preferences. The flavors were nicely balanced for the delicate raviolis. These dishes are not "chefy" or re-imagined by fusion or atypical ingredients. These are very simple Italian classics that are elevated by their attention to detail. We finished the meal with a classic tiramisu that feeds two. It was also very good. Like the food, the ambience of the interior is simple but elegant. The outdoor patio (reserved for an event) looks beautiful. The service and vibe is casual, friendly & efficient. Came into town for an anniversary and phoned in for a reservation. Only available was 8pm on Saturday. The associate on the phone was very nice and polite. When we arrived it was difficult to find a parking spot so may need to factor in some time for looking for a spot. It was also difficult to locate the hostess station to check in for our reservation. After getting seated, our server came over brought us water and then disappeared. (Later found out there was a small medical emergency) ambiance is very chill with dim lighting. Many of the seating options have a common bench around the edges of the room with tables situated in different configurations (tables for 2 and 4). Our server, Tiffany, was really nice and attentive. Ordered the kale salad and the 10 layer lasagna. (Lots of recommendations from Yelp and locals!). The kale salad was delicious and enough to share. The lasagna had a very rich sauce and lots of cheese. Catellis allows one bottle brought in and served without a cork fee and free bread with special butter!!! - a local told us about these perks : ) Definitely coming back here again!! read more

We had dinner reservations for 6:30 and we only had to wait just a few minutes. The place is lovely and it was fun. We talked to people on both sides of us. We were up here to pick up Wine and decided to stay locally and eat locally. Our server name was Rosie and she was very good and so was all the staff keeping our water glasses filled. I had an old-fashioned and it was just OK. Little too sweet and a bunch of ice cubes. It just wasn't quite right. My husband had a glass of red wine. We shared a small beet salad, which was delicious and the small serve great for both of us. My husband had the Michael special said it was very good and I had chicken Parmesan. This was also very good made with polenta which I normally don't like, but it was fine. Of course we have leftovers. I wanted a dessert and I got the ice cream with caramel and pecans on top. I had them omit the whipped cream and it was perfect. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. We usually go every year for my birthday with my family (little kids included) and they are always very welcoming and accommodating to big parties and kids. The food never disappoints. I just have to say he was absolutely amazing. Very attentive and prompt. He was a fun , kind , welcoming server and you are lucky if you get him as your server. We all got a variety of things , chicken piccata , Michaels pasta (absolutely phenomenal), raviolis, linguini and clams. We got garlic bread and arancini for appetizers. Every single thing was phenomenal. The kids got kids pasta off the kids menu with a scoop of ice cream for dessert. The desserts were also amazing, lemon tart, bread pudding, tiramisu (as big as your head!!!) If you haven't been to Catelli's, go asap. If you have , you know what I'm talking about!!! Read my review from Sept. 12, 2025, and double it. My wife and I were celebrating our birthdays, which are one week apart. They put a special sign on our table noting that it was just that and everyone was saying happy birthday. I'm 69 years old and usually feel invisible, but this made my day. Cameron once again was our server, and I couldn't have been more delighted. I made sure to tell him what a great time we had last time. When we made plans to visit the Healdsburg, Geyserville area for our celebration, the second thing we did after making hotel reservations was to reserve a table at Catelli's. We knew that was going to be the shining star, and it was. Unlike another Italian restaurant we visited a couple days later (see my review if you're interested), Cameron spent time with us, as he did with all his guests. Everyone there was in for an experience and Cameron made sure of it. No wonder he's been there 11 years. We started the meal by splitting a Ceasar salad, which they split for us on 2 plates and the plates were loaded with delicious salad. Next, I had the Chicken Parmigiana and it was to die for. The smoked polenta was fantastic. I'll be honest and say that I don't remember what my wife had, but I remember her saying she loved it. We were wine tasting at Ferrari - carano winery and was craving some Italian foods and boy ! This place did not disappoint. I had dinner at Serene the other day and the foods here was way more delicious ! Love their garlic bread, spaghetti and clam with white wine. So delicious. The beef carpaccio was delicious as well, a definite try. Our severe was attentive and made our lunch enjoyable. The place have a bar on one side where you can sit relax and enjoy.
