I had written a previous review, but it disappeared, so I'm happy to write another because I absolutely love The Beet. The ambience is warm and inviting, the food is creative and consistently delicious, and the staff always make you feel genuinely welcome. It's the kind of place that makes our small community feel extra special, and we feel lucky to have such a unique, high-quality spot locally. My favorite is the burrata small plate with fried saltines and sardines -- such an unexpected and delicious combination! Every dish feels thoughtfully prepared, and you can really taste the quality and creativity in the menu. Came through this small town after 10 days on the road from Seattle to San Francisco what a delight the food is very good. It was surprisingly quiet on a Saturday at lunch time. Started with the baked Brie and wild mushrooms and some olives and almonds. It was a delicious take on baked Brie. After that I had roast chicken with fennel kale and polenta. The combination was excellent. For desert we had home make cheese cake with raspberry sauce it was light and fluffy a perfect texture and flavor. Very popular spot here in Cloverdale. We finally decided to try it on Easter. We had a party of 4 that grew to 8! They kindly accommodated us even those the reservation was for 6! The eggs Benedict was great. The house made sausage was to die for! I also had a ginger mocktail soda that was terrific. Nice to have other choices besides mimosas. Great friendly service! read more

The Beet is the absolute best brunch! Everything I've had there is delicious. Last week I had the Chilaquiles which were amazing! I love their quiche and the Benedict. Just had a lovely dinner party here with 11 guests. We started with their charcuterie trays (delicious) and then we enjoyed some great wines. Dinners here are very reasonable and the waitstaff were very attentive. We all loved their intimate setting (long table with lovely tablecloths, candles and flowers). We also appreciated that we weren't rushed out after dinner. Their chef did a wonderful job preparing and plating the entrees. I would really recommend this restaurant for a large group. It isn't always easy to find a nice restaurant for a large group. read more

The Beet Restaurant and Wine Shop is an amazing restaurant located in the heart of downtown Cloverdale. We went here for lunch on Saturday and the downtown was busy due to it being the Cloverdale Wine Walk. This is a fun event that happens the first Saturday of every month and is seasonal. It was nice to see so many people in the downtown area visiting the local restaurants and shops. The Beet has fun events like dance nights and they also have brunch specials on Sundays. While we didn't have any beverages with our lunch this time around, they do have a wonderful selection of wines you can purchase by the glass, non-alcoholic beverages, and beer so they really have anything that you could be looking for. We look forward to trying our their wine list and coming for dinner sometime in the future. The restaurant has an indoor and outdoor area. It's warm and welcoming and they have a nice little retail section with local art and international gourmet foods. Everyone working here was friendly and made this an amazing dining experience. We got the shishito peppers to share and they were absolutely delicious. I ordered the up beet salad and it was so flavorful and delicious. All the food felt fresh and the ingredients really complimented each other. We both loved everything we had and look forward to coming back and trying out more dishes. Our dinner was amazing, the servers were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and the wine offerings were great! I would absolutely recommend The Beet if you are visiting the area. We enjoyed the shishito peppers and prosciutto/burrata to start. The peppers were cooked well and still a bit crunchy. A few random ones were spicy, but for the most part super delicious. Can you ever go wrong with burrata and prosciutto.... Again, great start. Wine wise, I stayed with my initial red throughout the meal, but my wife changed up her sparkling and ended on one that she loved... we took 2 bottles of it home. For dinner we completely destroyed our black truffle/flank steak and tagliatelle pasta and the chicken breast and polenta. Both dishes were seasoned well and cooked great. We'd probably skip the flank steak addition next time, but both plates were completely empty. Absolutely recommend if you are in the area. Looking forward to coming back! Having been here numerous times it never fails to impress!!! From brunch and lunch to dinner and dessert everything is spot on beautiful and incredibly delicious. The hosts are always attentive and offer suggestions when asked. The menu is small but don't let that fool you because the flavors are huge. At the Beet you can relax and unwind or take someone special on a date. You can dress up or come as you are. Last night I had the scallop special that was so fresh and flavorful. The flavors tied together and made my palate sing. My mouth is watering as I write this review. Don't forget to get a dessert or two. The flourless chocolate cake was smooth and creamy and not dense or dry like many others. I do not know why you would still be contemplating. just go, you will be happy that you did. read more

We were a party of three, two people had the shrimp and fresh pasta, which was very good. I had the flat iron steak which I initially ordered rare, but was told they cook on the rare side, so I changed to medium rare, rare. Unfortunately my steak was tuff, dry and overcooked to a medium. The steak fries were outstanding, just perfectly cooked. Wines were all very good and service was outstanding. I always love the calm, relaxed and very pleasant atmosphere of The Beet as a lovely spot for a quiet dinner. Definitely Will be back. read more

Wow.. what a great place!! Great spot to sit outside, drink your mimosa(s) and eat a great breakfast. Tried the quiche- so light and flavorful. Crust was amazing- side salad was fresh with a light dressing. Coffee, was real coffee, not bulk bought watered down stuff. Staff were friendly and helpful. The service along with the ambience of the outside patio space collaborating with the phenomenal quality of a duck confit with an excellent phrase salad beyond impressed me, and then to top it. This place is phenomenal! Absolutely about time cloverdale has a delicious and well priced restaurant that is accessible and welcome to all. I drove by one evening and saw that there were a lively bunch inside and I decided to stop in to place a takeaway order. When I came in it turns out that they were having a private event. The chef Andrew insisted I could order and allowed me to hang out inside with the private party, that were all so welcoming and friendly. In ordered the steak frites and Shrimp scampi, also a beet salad with prawns and the desert lemon bar. All was absolutely superb. Can't wait to go back. Finally tried The Beet and can't wait to return! Cloverdale got lucky with this gem of a restaurant. The staff was incredibly kind and sat our party of 3 on a Friday around 5:30 without a reservation. That being said I would recommend making one as the spot filled up quickly. We had the beet salad, fishwife salmon with chili crunch and the truffled mushroom pasta. Everything was amazing! Wish we had time for dessert but that'll be something to look forward to next time. It's got an upscale swanky vibe with some different varieties of wines you normally don't see. Also a great mocktale list! read more
