    We came here on our honeymoon and it truly made the night feel so special. They even printed a custom menu for us with "Congratulations" at the top, which was such a thoughtful touch. They were incredibly accommodating with my vegan diet and allium allergy, creating a special cauliflower steak and vegetable dish just for me. Everything felt so attentive and personalized--such a wonderful experience!

    Celebrating the start of January. Jacob, our attentive server, welcomed us and provided wonderful service throughout the evening. We sat outside on the cozy beautiful patio. The atmosphere was charming and inviting--perfect for a relaxed yet refined meal. Loved the menu. Every dish we ordered showcased incredible attention to detail. The flavors, presentation, and quality truly exceeded our expectations. I was personally impressed with the way my steak was prepared. It was perfect. We will be back. Thank you for a special dining experience.

    I felt it was a 5 star experience from my end but my moms duck was very tough. We had a lovely server, on pinpoint and friendly. The atmosphere is lively and in the small space not too loud. Ordered cocktails which everyone was happy with and a few glasses of wine. My salad was very nice, fresh veg and a creamy dressing. Also had a steak tartare which I loved. My partner had the "best mussels he's ever had". The scallops and steak were also delish and a fun presentation on the scallop. Duck breast - tough, mom couldn't cut it, I tried to help thinking smaller pieces would help but unfortunately it just wasn't good. Definitely pricey but if I'm back in Healdsburg for an occasion I definitely go again.

    If you ever find yourself in Healdsburg, do yourself a favor and make a reservation at Valette -- this place is truly a five-star experience every single time. I've been a few times, but my most recent visit back in August for my birthday was on a whole different level. From the moment we sat down, everything felt so thoughtfully curated. They surprised me with a personalized menu that had a birthday message printed on it -- such a small detail, but it made the whole evening feel extra special, like the experience was crafted just for us. And the food... wow. Saying the chef did their thing is honestly an understatement. Every dish was full of flavor, beautifully presented, and just absolutely phenomenal. The cocktails, appetizers, entrées -- everything was perfectly on point. Since they knew it was our birthday celebration, they brought out a complimentary dessert with a little candle, and the three of us had the cutest moment together. It was the sweetest touch to end an already unforgettable night. Valette never disappoints. If you're looking for incredible food, top-tier service, and an elevated dining experience that still feels warm and personal -- this is the place to go in Healdsburg. Highly, highly recommend.

    I spent weeks searching for a new to me restaurant to celebrate my 40th and Valette couldn't have been any better of a choice. From start to finish it checked every box. First I want to say how amazing the service was. We waited not wanted for nothing an it was such a pleasure to be waited on by such a crew. Then dinner. I go to very high end restaurants regularly and eat out every day of the week. This meal was in the top class. Every course was executed perfectly. They also gave my wife and I separate courses for our "trust us" dinner so we ended up having 11 courses instead of 6. There is no. Better value around as far as that option goes. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and in a beautiful part of town. Please do yourself a favor and have a dinner here.

    Valette Walked into a beautiful restaurant with sleek style and cool ambiance. I had the restaurant staff have 2 glasses of champagne reserve brut something Monthuy's Reserve Brut set up for when we arrived and it was good & Toasty Brioche and citrus notes champagne which was perfect way to start the event. And there was a birthday card for Mike on the table which was sweet! Isaac came over to the table and gave us the specials for the night and I was all about the chefs menu of 5 courses with wine pairings! And what was great was they let me choose all of our wines from the wine list because I'm an advanced certified sommelier!. But this definitely had me excited so for the dinner that awaited us. And the 5 course menu cost $135 X 2 = $270.00 Plus reserve wines pairing. $75 X 2 = $150.00 Plus. 2 glasses of the reserve Champagne $46.00 = $466.00 + 14+ for the staff added + 479 + 46 for tax = 525.80 + 150 cash tip. 1st course we had the Oeaetra Caviar - with cured egg, smoked white sturgeon, and buttermilk brioche toast and I chose the Sancerre for Mike and the Matanzas Creek Dry Chenin Blanc for myself and the wines paired beautifully with the caviar. 2nd Course - Scallop encroute- Squid Ink - Melted Leek & Fennel Caviar Beurre Blanc and I paired the David Ramey Chardonnay for Valette with this and the nuanced tropical fruit and apple flavors into the brioche notes of buttered toast with oak! 3rd Course- Porchetta' Tortellini en Brodo: Prosciutto - Parmesan, Crispy Pork Skin. Paired with Pinot Noirs, mine was the savory styled Pinot Noir from the Russian River Valley named Chev for $35/glass and wow it was exquisite along with the prosciutto in tortellinis made for plate presentation and lightly delicate with soul and vigor at the same time! Mike had the Lando Pinot Noir which is from Sonoma Coast and is a more juicy styled Pinot Noir 4th Course- Brown Butter Poached Filet Braised Short Rib - Sauce Bordelaise Heirloom Carrot Puree - Cipollini onion and wow the entree was rich, dense and full of flavor which went spectacularly with the Aperture Cabernet Sauvignon at. $36/ glass and drinking really well that evening and paired well to the big rich filet mignon and short ribs 5th Course- Smoked Volo Chocolate Pave Mousse Cake - Graham Cracker Crumbles Toasted Meringue - Oven Roasted Cherries was delicious and was paired with a Juracon dessert wine and I had a 10 year old Malmsey Madeira and it was a great meal- one of the best all time!!     TLDR: Lovely nighttime ambiance paired with refined and delicious food. Scallops like I've never had them before. Fantastic experience with great service -- will definitely be back. ------ FOOD: 1. Scallop (5/5) Tasty, fun, and unique. The scallop is served in a small pot covered by a beautiful puff pastry that you break through and eat with the scallop. Wish there was more than one scallop, but for an appetizer, this was probably the perfect portion. 2. Trout (5/5) Fantastic trout dish with well-seasoned, buttery layers. Not dry. 3. Salad (4.5/5) Great salad, would definitely order again. 4. Snickers Dessert (4/5) Essentially a homemade Snickers bar. Was delicious, but as a dessert lover, I will say that this didn't fully satisfy my sweet tooth craving. ------ SERVICE: * No notes, I thought it was a lovely experience and the waiters checked in on us consistently throughout the night without feeling overbearing.     My friends and I visited Valette for a fancy meal during a reunion trip of sorts to Russian River, it was on our shortlist of known good restaurants in Healdsburg to check out. We all did the prix-fixe menu that evening, one of us did the optional wine pairing (and the others did cocktails and a glass of wine). We sat on the covered patio, which is more of a parklet type situation and is adjacent to the road (thankfully not too busy). The food on the whole was excellent - I particularly enjoyed the scallops and the dessert. The wine list was solid, as you'd expect from a restaurant in wine country. I was not that enthused by their cocktail list - for some reason this was presented on an iPad (giving me Olive Garden vibes) - they had the staples but their specialty cocktails were less inspired than I would have expected. They were also missing any sort of hard cider - which again is unexpected, given how popular they have become and how many good local options exist. Food aside, our experience of the ambience and the service fell below par for the cost of the meal. Service felt hurried and a couple of times, we had to ask to order drinks (where they tried to leave after taking an order from just one person in our party). The patio ambience is also not nearly as nice as our brief time inside the restaurant - although it was a slightly cooler evening.

    From the moment we sat until the moment we left - it was truly a wonderful experience. We had a large group over Thanksgiving week and the restaurant was very accommodating. We arranged a pre fix menu for our party of 15, as recommended and every dish was fantastic, leaving me sad I finished the plates! Perfectly seasoned, highlighting each individual dish in an amazing way. The owner stopped by our table to thank us for our visit (he also owns The Matheson) and he was a real gem. The service was phenomenal. This would easily be a weekly visit for me if it was closer (from FL), now I'll just have to look fondly at the photos to remember the deliciousness.

    My friend has talked about this place for years now. She told me she will bring me here on my birtday someday and that day finally happen! Located in the busy streets of downtown Healdsburg is this place. They had indoor and outdoor sitting. They were busy but my friend made a reservation for us a while back so we were seated in the outdoor are pretty quickly. My friend raved out their course meals so I had to get it. We got the minimum 5 courses because I just didn't think my stomach has space for more than that. Usually, everyone gets the same dishes but they did an exception for us gave us 2 different dishes on every course (one for the women and one for the men). I loved it because I could share with my boyfriend and try all 10 dishes! The dishes were exquisite. Each one were not only works of art but also each component played a role and complimented each other well. I definitely have favorites but every dish was great. At first I was worried it wasn't enough but we left very full and satisfied. My latte after a heavy meal was a perfect closer. Our waiter was also very attentive and kind. We were all very happy with our experience. Until next time!

    Great spot to visit when you're celebrating a special occasion. The star of the pre-fixe meal was the scallops. The service was friendly and fast, and the ambiance in the heated covered patio was lovely. We'll be back!

Each bite felt delicate yet purposeful, showcasing both technical refinement and remarkable balance. One of the most memorable dishes of the evening was the bluefin tuna moriawase paired with strawberries. Normally, fruit in savory dishes tends to feel distracting or overly sweet to me, but the execution here was exceptional. The chefs managed to create a harmony between sweetness, tartness, acidity, and umami that elevated the tuna rather than overshadowing it. It was a dish that felt thoughtful, restrained, and incredibly well composed. The consistency throughout the progression of the menu was equally impressive. Course after course arrived with meticulous presentation and a strong sense of identity. Every dish felt polished and intentional, balancing visual artistry with flavors that were equally compelling. There was never a moment where the meal lost momentum, and the pacing allowed each course to feel distinct while still contributing to a cohesive experience. That said, there was one course that completely missed the mark for our group. The milk and honey dessert, which resembled a sponge cake topped with a whipped goat cheese foam, was overwhelmingly pungent and difficult to approach as a dessert course. The intensity of the goat cheese dominated every other component, to the point where it felt less like a composed dessert and more like being punched by a goat farm. Looking around the dining room, it seemed we were not alone in our reaction. Interestingly, when we mentioned that this was the only dish we did not enjoy, we were told, "if at least 1 out of 10 guests enjoy it, we consider it a win." It was certainly an unexpected response, especially given how polished and thoughtful the rest of the experience had been. Even with that misstep, the overall meal was exceptional. SingleThread succeeds in delivering a dining experience that feels elegant, immersive, and deeply personal. Between the artistry of the presentations, the balance of flavors, and the technical execution across the menu, it remains one of the most impressive three Michelin star experiences in California.

Since I was just in Paris for 15 days, I booked this upon my return so that I could experience the American version of perfection. It is mind blowing how good it is here. Every course and every moment ... feels special and delicious. Americans have definitely enhanced the lifestyle experience. I know I like it in France... and I love it here at home! Maybe a bit more! I'm so proud that this is in our neighborhood. Feeling so blessed in this moment. Grateful for Chef who really makes a difference and really makes something special to remember forever. The smoked salmon gougeres sounded tempting, but turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. Gougeres are usually served warm, but this one was cold and tasted like a salmon-flavored cream puff. I had the gem lettuce salad next and I liked the addition of strawberries. However, the salad was so drenched in miso vinaigrette that was all you could taste. Overdressed like wearing a tuxedo to a hoedown. I then had "Mary's" version of cordon bleu rolled with chicken and ham on a bed of polenta with spinach and oyster mushrooms with a Dijon jus. It sounded wonderful on the menu, but it was a letdown, oddly flavorless. As I was eating it a local regular next to me said I should have ordered something else - it was not his favorite. Only the bar offers à la carte. We chose the three‑course menu, and it was absolutely worth it, especially given the generous portions. Even with a reservation, we did have to wait a bit, but the team immediately rectified the situation and brought our party of six welcome cocktails, setting the tone for the excellent service all evening. DCK also offers a $30 per bottle corkage fee (max two), which I highly recommend taking advantage of (you are in wine country after all). Once we were seated, the service was excellent and genuinely attentive. Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, knowledgeable, and on top of the details without hovering. The food was exceptional across the board -- beautifully prepared, balanced, and exactly what you hoped for. Dry Creek Kitchen is the kind of place that feels special but still approachable. We'd absolutely come back.

I don't dine out to get over stuffed in my belly. I come to taste the interpretation of the dishes by the kitchen and the chef. And the food was absolutely executed perfectly. The Hazel Hill salad was so simple and dressed so perfectly with farm fresh baby green leaves. We had the burrata salad served with Gougette sourdough bread. We had the Wagyu fillet and the king salmon. Both prepared perfectly. Seasoned beautifully. I was a chef for 25 years and I could find no fault with any part of this dinner. The Basque cheesecake was over the top simple and delicious and decadent. We had a couple of glasses of wine by the glass which were pricey but very well chosen. Loved it! The service was outstanding. And the decor and setting is other worldly.
