    Mezze Trio
    Adrian L.

With the help of Yelp, we found Juju's and it was wonderful! The food was delicious. I had the Branzino served on a bed of couscous cous and some artichoke hearts. The fish was tender and flavorful. My wife and I shared the the Mezze Trio which featured Hummus, Baba Ghanoush and Mahamarra. All these were great but the Mahumarra was our clear cut favorite. It was served with three fresh pita. We needed to order extra pita to finish the trio. The person who greeted and helped us during the whole experience was cordial and provided great service. We will definitely be back:)

Juju Pop-Up, Healdsburg Ah, Juju. Where the food is French-Moroccan and service is casual. We arrived, were handed menus like civilized adults, and sat ourselves down like the free-range diners we are. A lovely person materialized to pour us water while we studied the menu. The maître d' informed us that we were supposed to order and pay at the counter. They gave us a hockey puck to put on our table so the food could find us. Now -- the food. Baba ghanoush -- Served with fresh homemade bread and absolutely stunning. 12/10, no notes. Salade lyonnaise -- The dressing had the boldness of a timid librarian. A whisper of flavor where a sentence was needed. Flatiron steak -- Chewy enough to double as a jaw workout, but the sauce? Chef's kiss. The fries? Magnificent. It's a tale of two textures. Branzino -- Good fish, genuinely. The fennel, however, was doing its best impression of something that had not yet committed to being cooked. Lamb tagine -- Great. No complaints. The lamb knew exactly what it was there to do and it did it. Bottom line: the food ranges from great to so close, just needs another minute on the fennel.

A fantastic concept with personal service from the chef, which made the experience feel special. Fun, well-executed menu, great outdoor seating, and very fair pricing. The lamb and shrimp were standout dishes, though everything we ordered was excellent. Also a really nice wine list. Will be back!

Out of all the places we had dinner in wine country, I can definitely say this place was my…read morefavorite. We had reservations for lunch as we had a big group and a pup. First off, they were so welcoming when we checked in. And I love that it's so pet friendly. Hostess that checked us in was a doll. The inside decor and the layout was so cute. One side is the hostess counter and right across from there is a waiting lounge area which I believe is also utilized for dining. Walking through, they have indoor seating to one side and the bar area to the opposite. Also dining available along the hi top bar counter. We had a big group which they had us set up on the patio. Another beautiful layout. It's like dining in a community garden slash secret garden. Our waitress who took care of us was amazing. So sweet and very friendly. Not just her but the entire staff there. Menu wise looked amazing. Also it was also a recommendation from one of the staff at a winery we were just at. Drink menu was quite huge too. Of course food was on our mind and it did not disappoint. Big group meant a lot of share plates to start off. A double of things ordered to start off. Daily crudo which was served with wonton chips. Fresh fish with all spices and marinaded. It was fresh and delicious. You gotta have oysters if it's available. Curry deviled eggs was quite tasty as well. Your classic eggs with a little twist. Mushroom egg rolls were a hit. It literally came piping hot so it was a little wait till we enjoy it and it was delicious. Came with two dipping sauce which paired very well. Salsa macha fries, similar concept as the elote corn with the coltija cheese, lime creme and cilantro. Brisket can also be added which we opted out for. Then there was the grilled Vietnamese steak with the not so sticky rice in a cube form. Cooked perfectly and the crunchiness of the rice was perfect. Also the dipping sauce was great. Beef brisket tacos were another hit. Two orders and loaded with meat and all the topping. Very flavorful and delicious. Cant come here and not have their almost famous chicken tenders. Big chunks of chicken battered and fried to a nice golden color. It was so juicy and served with pickle chips and dipping. You can have it hot or now with the sauce. Crispy duck confit was delicious. Nice potion of duck with bitter greens and duck fat potatoes. Brazen burger, which was pretty massive. Classic burger but better and with bacon and fries. Then you have the kimchi noodles, added chicken and shrimp or without. That dish was tasty. You either love kimchi or not and the way it was prepared with pasta, delicious. And lastly, the special was a hot ham sandwich I believe. Served with potatoes salad and gherkins. It was a hefty sandwich with loads of meat and cheese. Simply but so good. Food was excellent as we literally had loads from the menu. Of course loads of recommendations which I know why. The food was exceptional and service was great. Restaurant is beautiful and service was excellent. Also they're so pet friendly. Plus, we ordered a dog patty for the pup and it was quite tasty...lol.... Can't wait to come back, hopefully soon. Not sure if menu if set or it changes seasonally. Regardless, whoever is in charge of menu, chefs kiss.

THE PATIO: Nicely shaded with mesh sail cloth, so no risk of sunburn and you won't need your sunglasses. Spacious seating. THE DRINKS: probably why "Bar" comes before "Kitchen" in the name - Gintonica - made with the bar's "featured gin" of the week (or maybe month, or until it's gone). Refreshing -- like it's supposed to be - Love Bizarre - The name certainly is. This mezcal-based cocktail with cucumber, mint, shiso and adornments is great for a summer eve. - Misspent Youth - another gin-based cocktail, but with a sweeter tilt offered up by the addition of galiano, pineapple, and coconut - think Hawaii sans rum. THE FOOD: a little hit or miss for us; maybe explore more of the menu next time - Griddled Crab Cakes* - were mushy and almost tartar-like, and the ham hock flavor overpowered the crab. Won't re-order - Mezze Plate - Best plate of the bunch; flavorful and spicy. Would do this one again - Beef Brisket Tacos* - Too salty and the brisket was tough and stringy. Fuggedaboutit. * like most of the offerings, plates were served up as two per order THE SERVICE: Great start, luke-warm finish Polite and friendly greeting at the door and seating by the hostess. 5 Stars. The server seemed like more of a canned act. Polite, but not too much in the welcoming category. Seemed a bit in a hurry. We've had worse experiences, but I was hoping for something more than functional. 2 1/2 stars for that. Better luck next time.

Even though it was winter, the heat lamps in the back allowed us to dine under the festive lights outside comfortably even if we did keep our hats on. A big fan of tapas since we get to try different dishes, we went all out with Bacon Wrapped Dates with Blue Cheese, Creamy Chicken Croquetas filled with Ham, Gruyère Cheese, my favorite of the night, Crispy Bacalao Cigarillos served with Marinated Olives, Lemon Zest & Romesco Allioli, and Octopus, Fingerlings, Smoked Paprika & Olives. We normally don't get a chance to order paella since it often comes with shellfish but since theirs is made to order for 2 or 4 people, we were able to get one made without shellfish. It surprisingly had a bit of heat to it, but I definitely would love to come back to try more tapas.

We knew immediately this was going to be a special night. We went all in with the chef's prix fixe menu, and it delivered from the very first bite. Warm, homemade dinner rolls -- fragrant with thyme, garlic, and chili flakes, served alongside pillowy whipped butter -- set the tone perfectly. We loved them so much we asked for a second basket without a moment's hesitation. The Sonoma County Organic Salad that followed was nothing short of a revelation: crisp Little Gem lettuce, Pioneer Micro Herbs and edible flowers, beautifully shaved vegetables, whipped fromage blanc, and a Green Goddess dressing that tied it all together with effortless elegance. Perfection is the only word for it. For our entrées, the Petrale Sole Meunière was a masterclass in refined, soulful cooking -- the Costeaux sourdough croutons, potato fondant, haricot verts, and caper beurre noisette working in perfect harmony. And the pork porchetta with nduja? Cooked flawlessly, bold, deeply satisfying, and utterly memorable. We paired the meal with the Valette Rosé of Pinot Noir, which has instantly earned a place among the finest rosés we've ever tasted -- vibrant, nuanced, and a dream with every course. Dessert brought the ItsNotA 'Snickers Bar' and the Almond Frangipane, both executed brilliantly and the ideal sweet finale to an extraordinary meal. Valette isn't just a great restaurant -- it's our new favorite dining destination, full stop. We'll be back, again and again.
