Made a pit stop for lunch, and I'm super glad I did! They have sandwiches, pizzas, and more! I love being able to customize a deli sandwich, and this place hit the spot. Sandwiches were filling, price was decent. Would come again!!

Fall veggie goodness/inspo in the deli case!

We continue to stop at Big John's weekly and it's always a pleasant food shopping experience. It's a beautiful, clean, and well-stocked gourmet market. Locally owned - love that! Friendly team members. And the lines at check-out are never too crazy. Go for the outer aisles: cheeses, meats, deli, and fresh produce! We love their cheese section, which immediately greets you upon arrival. Need help? Just ask! Looking for local cheeses? They offer many! They have a mini Cousteau Bakery inside. Hot tip: get a coffee or tea at the bakery and enjoy it while you shop! The deli makes great sandwiches, and the pre-made items (chicken, salmon...) are tasty and easy for some protein in a pinch. In the meat section, my guy gets the Mary's organic chicken. We've also tried their hamburger patties. Thanks Big Johns for serving our community!!!

Quick fun cheese stop. Big John's in Healdsburg is an excellent stop for lunch event shopping, offering a fantastic selection of cheeses that are perfect for entertaining. The flower section adds a charming touch, making it easy to create a beautiful tablescape. The staff provides friendly, attentive service, and the prices are reasonable given the high quality of products. Even though Oliver's is my hometown go to-Big John's is a delightful spot that combines great selection, lovely ambiance, and good value. I like variety and this store is a fun option.

This market has it all, If you cant find it here you wont find it in Healdsburg. Beautiful cheese selections and fantastic meet counter. Employees are patient, Profession and very friendly.

Hot bar, priced by weight. It was $25 even, and made two meals for me.

I freaking love this place! It's like a Disney Land gift shop for foodies. My first time was a trip to the deli where they have tons of tasty creations to choose from, quality meats and fancy fromage. The second visit I was feeling like a salad and paid visit to their salad bar. Here you'll find the traditional staples, salad choices and toppings abound. They've also put together several pasta salad options - too many to make a quick decision. My plans to have a salad of my own creation was derailed when I saw all the options in the hot bar behind me. Ham and cheese risotto patties, colorful steamed vegetables, roasted fingerling potatoes, fried chicken, jalapeño poppers, mac & cheese, mashed potatoes, and gravy, baby back ribs, battered fried cod, and chicken confit were just some of the items. They also have a soup station, a burrito bar and pizza option that I've yet to explore. The deli wait time was quick despite it being very busy and I've not yet had to wait in line to check out. If you're hungry but not sure what for, this is the best place to go where you're sure to find lots of great choices. Can't wait to go back!

Not dubble meat....

I drove from windsor all the way to Healdsburg to get a sandwich. It was recommended by my brother which lives Healdsburg to get a sandwich. It was recommended by my brother which lives Healdsburg to get a sandwich. It was recommended by my brother which lives there The deli employees did not listen to my specified order. Which is sad? The store looked pretty decent. I worked 89 hour shift with no lunch. Drove all the way to get a decent sandwich. Ask them for extra meat and they failed. Give me a simple dumb sandwich. The bread was old. Not happy

Thanksgiving dinner from big John's market just like homemade yummy

Great for sandwiches, picnic supplies, gourmet foods, fresh produce too. This is a must stop and shop for us when we visit the wineries.

We put together the best charcuterie board and salad for a quiet night alone. They had a great selection and everything we needed!

Green Fish Seafood & Grocery is a mostly Asian supermarket that offers a variety of things from…read moremost places, though, after going there it's apparent it's mostly a Chinese market. It's located on the borderline of Walnut Creek and Alamo-ish areas, and certainly not in an area most people would be driving by unless you live in this area since it's mostly residential here, or you're driving through Olympic locally for something in that direction that's not the downtown. First things first, it's a small place. It's a local market, so it's not going to be very large. They do have their own parking lot in the front, and there's also plenty of parking in the back as well, so that shouldn't be an issue here even though the store is small. While I've seen some people note this as a Japanese market, it is not. While they carry a small section of Japanese stuff, here, most of the things are very much a Chinese focused type of offerings, from the types of produce, to the packaged stuff here. They'll have some miscellaneous stuff like a section just for pastas and sauces in the right side of the store on a rack, they're mostly a Chinese market. If you need a comparison, they're like a mini 99 Ranch. Price wise, it's about right for this area. If you compare it to other grocery market chains it's definitely not comparable, but for a local market in this area, it's not bad. The fish is indeed on the more expensive side, but it does look pretty fresh at least so there's that. They also have some to-go sushi boxes of stuff. It's nice to see they have a variety of offerings from their sushi to-go options, albeit, not cheap but at least they did look pretty good though. The sashimi boxes looked great because the fish quality appears to be great here. The only thing again, it is a bit pricey for some of these options, so just be aware of that. Green Fish is a nice little market for this area, and certainly will have a variety of things here you may be interested in. Again, it's not a large market, so just be aware of space if they do get busy. The fish counter is literally wedged into the corner of the store, but still offers fresh seafood options for those locally to buy from (albeit a bit pricey). They have offerings of various things akin to 99 Ranch, but certainly more focused on mostly Chinese and Japanese as oppose to Ranch that offers a lot of different Asian brands too. While they have pastas and sauces and stuff, that's basically it for the non-Asian market stuff. This is very much an Asian market. I will definitely want to try out some of those takeout rolls and maybe their sashimi eventually.

Especially if you don't have a freezer the size of a bathtub to place a couple of whole salmon in. The place is a warehouse and a commercial distribution center. You have to get a workers attention, (easy to do, they're all walking around) and have them lead to into the fish packing area. They ask you to put a hair net on and you go to a small room where a worker is cutting up sports fish. They'll smoke it, cut it into steaks, fillets or lox. Each are vacuum sealed individually so it keeps well and doesn't crowd up your freezer. Highly recommend the lox, a big hit every time we put it out for company. Didn't get a whole lot of favor when they smoked it for me, might do it myself next time.

If this spot is good enough for the NY Times to name it one of the best bakeries in the nation,…read moreit's good enough for you. All the pastries we had were A+ and worth it. Everything we ordered was exceptional. The Veggie Quiche was thicker than a textbook, custardy and light. I ordered a Marzipan Berry Scone for a friend that I took home and they loved it. There's plenty of seating and four of us chatted forever. The acoustics are great, there are water pitchers to stay hydrated, and if I lived here this would be a favorite spot no contest. My only regret is that I didn't leave with a Challah. Tip these beautiful beloved bakers well. And stop complaining about excellence.

When you walk in, there is a lot of open space and the inside felt comfortable. There was an open and flowing environment. That was great! So, where did it go wrong? The prices were just sky rocketed into another dimension. $7 a muffin and $7 a scone. I seem to have much better luck at the Farmers Market for less. I get it, there is a fancy building that needs to be paid for. Don't come here for dairy free option if you're looking for something in the sweet and savory department. There are GF options but those are still rittled and laced with butter and dairy. Like, bread is your only choice if you're dairy free. The gentlemen that helped me told me to get a loaf of bread. So I did. $12. I went with the Rosemary, olive oil and sea salt focaccia bread. The good news is, it was nice and soft like an Air b n b pillow. The bad news is, it had more salt than the ocean. With copious amounts of olive oil saturated the bag before I left the parking lot (see attached pic). My husband was not a fan either and we left the loaf of bread out for the pigeons.
