Ready to hole up in our Sea Ranch airbnb overlooking the Pacific Ocean. List: wine produce Fire logs Cheese Salami Yogurt Beanies Take n' bake bread Eggs Beyond Beef Breakfast Sausage Avocado Banana Milk Impressive inventory- lots of the staples, Gualala beanies, nice dish towels, meats, cheeses, dairy case, .... Bummer that the produce was awful, overripe zucchini & squash, white mushrooms morphing into brown mushrooms, you really have to pick through everything. Anyway, the only other grocery store is across the street, and you'll be driving a very long time if you miss this turn in the road.

Excellent supermarket. Very friendly and knowledgeable employees. They have ways of sourcing for items that I have not seen at home. We must've visited 5 times over the course of 3 days that we were here in Gualala. We tried their white lightening apricots sourced from Washington. OMG!!! Missing out since they were super yummy and sweet. They also carried a lot on imported goods from Japan. Didn't get to try their deli sandwiches but we did get to try their bbq ribs. They have a setup in front of the store and you get see the ribs, chicken and tri tip cooking. Awesome store... wish we had something like this here at home.

Sad sandwich. 2 slices of meat.

The Market is cute with artisanal treats and trinkets. Nice for tourists, I picked up some Gualala stickers and fudge. I Don't recommend the deli in the back, my sandwich was very skimpy with hardly and turkey.

Outside grill and smoker. The smell sells it!!

Was lucky to find this gem on our way up Hwy 1 on a Saturday. 1/2 slab of babyback ribs, 1/2 rotisserie chicken, chicago dill pickle...get extra sauce! Food is great! Quick and friendly service. Super easy! Supermarket is great too. Pricey, but great!

It's a ten dollar tuna melt. They used to be great.. now there's no love.

Store itself good enough. Selection pretty good. People that work there some super nice others are maybe disgruntled. I wish they would pay 25$ an hour instead of donating there money to causes. Pay it to the workers. My 10$ tuna melt used to be great! Now, there's no love there.

This is a very very nice little Super Market, but honestly I didn't stop in here to shop or even to pick up a few odds and ends or a bag of ice or anything else behind the store's front doors. I stopped here for the exceptionally amazing baby back ribs grilling in the parking lot directly in front of this little grocery store. This rib cooking mad man is throwing down some of the best baby back ribs I've ever eaten, yes ever eaten and they are having a blast doing it, it's definitely a party atmosphere. This giant open pit is filled with cords of real oakwood charcoal that has the pork fat sizzling on these pigs sides and has the locals lined up around the corner, there were cars zig zagging, horns a honking, people jockeying to get a parking spot it was total chaos, at first I thought they were giving away bags of gold nuggets or something. Well let me tell ya these are the real deal, finger sucking, lip smacking pork ribs and on this day I swear I saw pigs fly because these charred tender fall off the bone ribs were flying off the grill. Twenty-five bucks a rack or a half rack for thirteen dollars and if you throw the pit-master and I never used that word lightly a few extra bucks tip he'd toss in a few extra bones for your eating pleasure. The accommodations here are a little more than you might expect, they have a few picnic tables set up under the store's front canopy and although napkins are supplied you may want to get a few wet ones before you dive in because when you are done you are going to look like a kid eating chocolate ice cream and this sticky sauces doesn't wipe off without some effort. The atmosphere was festive as I understand it this is known as "The Saturday BBQ" but I can't telI you if this is a every Saturday thing, I do know this guy was rolling in the dough and the supply of ribs seemed endless. They did have other offerings, I think I saw some tri-tip, some chicken maybe some sausage but every customer I witnessed was going for the ribs. If you've haven't experienced this my friend you may want to bookmark this place, it's definitely a destination and I was so fortunate to find this place in passing while traveling up the coast...

Outside grill - go inside and pay for your order and stand outside to sniff the deliciousness!

They have seating inside and outside. My mother had been craving fried oysters so I took her here. For some reason, not many places have fried oysters. I think this was the only place in the Bodega Bay area. Not sure why that is. Anyway, the oysters were 5 stars for my mom. They came with a dipping sauce. I think it was the garlic aioli. I ordered the chicken sandwich special that comes with chipotle aioli. I traded that for the garlic aioli. It was loaded with thin slices of chicken breast. I'm not sure what type of bread they used, but it was perfect for the sandwich. When we first ordered, it was Ash who took our order. He's so energetic and friendly. He is part of what makes this place special. They have an attention to detail and service that reminds of the Garden Cafe in San Rafael. I will be back even though I have to drive all the way from Novato. :)

That's what my boyfriend and I ordered, and were satisfied (not to mention fueled for our hike that afternoon). I agree with other reviews that say it's pricey for what you get, but you'll still have a satisfying meal. The crab sandwich is real fresh, I kinda wish they toasted the bread, but would still recommend it. It came with a few slices of carrot that seemed random IMO, but still ate it. Also, you can't go wrong with the fish and chips! Service was straight-forward - you order and pay at the counter, then take your number to seat where your food is delivered. Most people were sitting outside on the benches, which is where you wanna be, especially on a sunny day with a view of the water. But there are also chairs and tables inside. Parking can be tight around here. The lot outside the restaurant is very small, and the street/back parking signs can be confusing. (There were cars parking in zones clearly marked with "No Parking" signs.)

Overall, I was pretty impressed and satisfied by the quality of the food I got. Pricing isn't cheap, but in line with expectations for seafood in an area with a lot of visitors, though portion sizes do veer on the smaller side. Kimchi Crab Cakes (2.75/5): I wanted to like these more than I did, but unfortunately I just thought the kimchi flavor was pretty lackluster and also tamped down the sweetness of the crab. The crab cakes are mostly crab, which is nice, but I'd skip this one. Grilled Oysters w/ Lemon Garlic Butter (4/5): Fresh oysters grilled to order, what's not to be happy about. The garlic was fresh and the oysters weren't fishy; all around solid option. Clam Chowder (4/5): A nice clam chowder. Nothing crazy and good amount of clams. Exactly what you'd expect. Crab Roll (4.25/5): Definitely my favorite item we tried! Super generous with the amount of crab with a bit of creamy mayo and slices of fresh tomato. The bread looks really pale, but it was actually a satisfying fresh, soft roll.

There were three of us and we ordered the fresh crab rolls. We couldn't stop saying "OMG" because they were that good. The clam chowder was also amazing - not too thick, super flavorful, and filled with the perfect amount of seafood. We shared 6 bbq oysters (3 lemon garlic and 3 Calabrian chili), and they were so good. To finish - we ordered the spicy prawns with garlic bread, which were delicious as well, though we were already so full by then. We ordered our food first and then grabbed a table outside which made for a super relaxed vibe. I would 100% come back whenever I'm in the area and will definitely be telling all my friends about it. You wait in the line and order at the window. Then they bring the food out to you. There are some picnic tables and sunshades out front. Very easy and no pretense here! Here's what we ordered: Italian sourdough French bread $5 Red chowder $10 White chowder $10 2 crab sandwiches $20 each Albacore tuna sandwich $11 When ordering the bread, make sure you get some butter. The bread was absolutely delicious with crusty exterior and chewy inside. Perfect accompaniment with the chowder! We loved though New England white chowder. The Manhattan red chowder was fine, but we barely had half of it and took the rest home. The crab sandwich was great too! Tuna sandwich was good! There are other foods for sale at the order window - bags of chips, Crustable sandwiches. Can't wait to come back here! Wish I had the cooler with me to buy live crabs!!! BTW, I didn't see a bathroom here. But Fisherman's Cove (nextdoor) has one. It's just one unisex bathroom so there's a long line!
