Fish & Chips (top) & Fried Calamari (bottom)

Solid spot for fried seafood! The shoestring fries here are AMAZING! Also loved the fish tacos and green sauce they had. The breading for the calamari was not great. Service is efficient, they quoted us about a 45 minute wait for our food on a busy holiday weekend but our food came quicker. You order at the counter then grab a table indoors or outdoors. Plenty of parking and restroom on site for customers, they accept apple pay and have wifi as well.

Super friendly and fast service! You order at the counter and then grab any available bench seating, it was a nice casual vibe with music to hang with friends. Food was good, the fried prawn tacos were fried so well with a slight crunch in the bite. Sauce and toppings were great as well. When I got to my fish taco, however, it got a bit soggy and not as tasty. Perhaps I should have switched the order of which one to eat first

One of the gems in the small town of Gualala. It was very easy to order online for pick-up. We ordered for 10+ people and the food was ready after only about 30 minutes of wait (faster than your average Doordash wait time). When we picked up the food, they have limited seatings and the place is packed. This seems to be quite the town's favorite spot for a quick meal. The fish and chips were delicious. Crispy, flavorful - enjoyed it a lot!

Clam chowder. Tasteless but lots of clams.

Really minuscule portions of the actual seafood. Like four shrimp on a taco and the sandwich. Clam chowder had no flavor. Seemed like it wasn't made with real cream though it had lots of clams. I never add salt to food and had to. But the good thing was the fried fish slider. The rest of the food was mediocre.

Bomb clam chowder. Got it to go. Kick it up a notch by toasting up the bread bowl and pairing w/ a good local beer.

It's a cute little seafood shack to grab a bite to eat. I highly recommend getting their prawns and their delicious crispy fries they go with it. They do have a happy hour where you can get a fish and a taco but the fish taco is better with their house sauce is really delicious. You can put that on anything. Try the house sauce.. nice spot to stop at when you're in the area.

We had the fish and chips. They were fresh and cooked perfectly. The people were friendly.

Love this place. We try to get up to Gualala when possible and always come here. Super fresh fried fish. The fish slider is the perfect size and so so fresh, with a wonderful non-greasy, light batter. My husband took a bite of mine and had to get one for himself. We also got a dozen oysters from the oyster bar: perfectly fresh and briny, and with two sauces - a mignonette and another thin spicy sauce that was among the best I've ever had. We'll be back.

The rating is about a 4.8, but close enough for a 5 star! It was very enjoyable! A fresh seafood restaurant with little flair, just as its name suggests. Three seafood items on the menu Rockfish, Crab & Prawns, prepared as tacos, burritos, sandwiches and salads. A burger, hot dog, grilled cheese and tuna round out the entirety of the menu. Minimal fare done well! The fish & chips were fresh and tasty with a non-overwhelming batter and the fish and prawns grilled tacos were fresh and satisfying as well. The clam chowder was done nicely and served at a good temperature. A nice complement to the food was a beer and wine fridge stocked with local favorites and Mexican beers to round out a good meal. Staff was patient and friendly and served with a smile. Can't wait to return!!!

First off, the fish and chips meal ($19.00) is delicious and prepared perfectly. Service is great and the restaurant has ample seating inside and outside. The reason for the 2 stars is that the three pieces of fish are NOW VERY SMALL. It looks like they are cutting the pieces in half/quarter. Price gouging or shrinkflation? They used to serve 3 regular sized pieces of fish with the meal. Now with half to a quarter of the fish, not sure I would recommend this restaurant. Truly disappointed as I really like Gualala Seafood Shack.

Princess Seafood Market - A dozen fresh oysters

Princess Seafood Market

Princess Seafood has a market and restaurant around the bend from each other. The market itself has…read morepretty much the same menu, but all the seating is outdoors under some tents and you order at the register where they also sell fresh seafood by the pound. Overall, I was pretty impressed and satisfied by the quality of the food I got. Pricing isn't cheap, but in line with expectations for seafood in an area with a lot of visitors, though portion sizes do veer on the smaller side. Kimchi Crab Cakes (2.75/5): I wanted to like these more than I did, but unfortunately I just thought the kimchi flavor was pretty lackluster and also tamped down the sweetness of the crab. The crab cakes are mostly crab, which is nice, but I'd skip this one. Grilled Oysters w/ Lemon Garlic Butter (4/5): Fresh oysters grilled to order, what's not to be happy about. The garlic was fresh and the oysters weren't fishy; all around solid option. Clam Chowder (4/5): A nice clam chowder. Nothing crazy and good amount of clams. Exactly what you'd expect. Crab Roll (4.25/5): Definitely my favorite item we tried! Super generous with the amount of crab with a bit of creamy mayo and slices of fresh tomato. The bread looks really pale, but it was actually a satisfying fresh, soft roll.

There were three of us and we ordered the fresh crab rolls. We couldn't stop saying "OMG" because they were that good. The bread was buttery and toasted to perfection and they were incredibly generous with the crab. The clam chowder was also amazing - not too thick, super flavorful, and filled with the perfect amount of seafood. We shared 6 bbq oysters (3 lemon garlic and 3 Calabrian chili), and they were so good. To finish - we ordered the spicy prawns with garlic bread, which were delicious as well, though we were already so full by then. We ordered our food first and then grabbed a table outside which made for a super relaxed vibe. I would 100% come back whenever I'm in the area and will definitely be telling all my friends about it. I was so impressed!!

Nonetheless, we had an overall great experience. First night, I'd give our meal a 3/5. We had the Short Rib, Salmon Wings, Brussel sprouts, cheesecake, apple tart, and a cappuccino. The short rib was quite dry and tough but the garnish was great. My husband ordered the Mary's chicken with mole and that was FANTASTIC. The sauce was a proper mole poblano sauce. The salmon wings left much to be desired, I was intrigued at the concept, but not impressed. The char bordered on burnt and had quite a bit of bones. We both enjoyed our desserts. Our second meal was off the lunch menu: The fish and chips were pretty great! Well seasoned and the house made tartas sauce was nice. 4/5 The last thing we had were the burgers off the bar menu. This may have been the best thing we ate here! It was cooked to the perfect temp and the spicy aoli had a solid kick! 5/5 The ambience was cozy and the ocean views were STUNNING. The service was friendly and professional. Overall, I do hope I get the chance to come back to Coast Kitchen. We did enjoy our time!

Every once in a while, I go to a restaurant that knows how to do it. This was one of those places…read more It's not the fanciest place, but it's perfect for a fishing town. They have seating inside and outside. My mother had been craving fried oysters so I took her here. For some reason, not many places have fried oysters. I think this was the only place in the Bodega Bay area. Not sure why that is. Anyway, the oysters were 5 stars for my mom. They came with a dipping sauce. I think it was the garlic aioli. I ordered the chicken sandwich special that comes with chipotle aioli. I traded that for the garlic aioli. It was loaded with thin slices of chicken breast. I'm not sure what type of bread they used, but it was perfect for the sandwich. When we first ordered, it was Ash who took our order. He's so energetic and friendly. He is part of what makes this place special. They have an attention to detail and service that reminds of the Garden Cafe in San Rafael. I will be back even though I have to drive all the way from Novato. :)

That's what my boyfriend and I ordered, and were satisfied (not to mention fueled for our hike that afternoon). I agree with other reviews that say it's pricey for what you get, but you'll still have a satisfying meal. The crab sandwich is real fresh, I kinda wish they toasted the bread, but would still recommend it. It came with a few slices of carrot that seemed random IMO, but still ate it. Also, you can't go wrong with the fish and chips! Service was straight-forward - you order and pay at the counter, then take your number to seat where your food is delivered. Most people were sitting outside on the benches, which is where you wanna be, especially on a sunny day with a view of the water. But there are also chairs and tables inside. Parking can be tight around here. The lot outside the restaurant is very small, and the street/back parking signs can be confusing. (There were cars parking in zones clearly marked with "No Parking" signs.)
