I have been going to this store since I was a kid....way before the Town Green was built. The family knows all the locals and always make you feel like close friends and family. The deli sandwiches are at the top of my list! I love Roast Beef, so my favorite is Roast Beef & Swiss. The sweet rolls are soft and amazingly delicious. read more

Been going here Many years. Since Windsor was Small. But, stopped in after being on vacation to grab a little milk for coffee in the morning. It was all past the date. Makes me think about the people who don't check the date... read more

Very friendly service from what I presume to be the owners of this small market. Sandwich prices are not displayed and there is no menu. You just tell them what you want in what bread, and it's $10. Very reasonable for a delicious sandwich prepared with love. Market was very. Clean and tidy. read more

Great sandwich place ! Friendly staff with a great selection of delicious foods and drinks.

If you are need of a drink of any kind you are in the right place. I got 2 bottles of Gatorade, 2 for $5. It seemed pricy till I went to my hotel and they were $4 each. I wish I had bought more, next time, I'm really stocking up. They have wine, beer, soda, energy drinks. Mixers all kinds, ice cream, slushy, frozen burritos. A convince store on steroids. This place is a must to stock up. Check out their prices before going to a winery to make sure you get the best deal. This place is a must stop for snacks and drinks. read more

A really easy in-town stop for pretty much anything you need. For us, that was wine, and they had a surprisingly decent selection of reds, whites, and bubbly - even roses, whites, and bubbles already chilled! Bottles prices are about 20-30% more expensive than Safeway (convenience, kids). We'd definitely stop off again next time we're in town looking for a quick glass of vino. Stay classy, Windsor! read more

Pohleys Market - Great place to grab anything you need! - Grocery Near Me - Windsor, California

California is so odd at times. This is a small shop that has dynamite liquor. I was looking for a place to pick up some decent whiskey. I looked for total wine and bevmo because that is my norm. I found this spot looking for decent liquor. They have better than decent, they have pure fire. They have multiple bottles of weller, and countless other amazing choices. I was happy with the service and the price as well. I highly recommend if you are coming to town looking for some decent low tax liquor, look no further. read more

It feels weird to review a liquor store. But this has been a staple in Windsor for as long as I've lived here. The sandwiches are great, and they are very accommodating if you call ahead and have them made for later. The wine selection is just OK, but they definitely have every alcohol under the sun and decent prices. The owners of the store have always been pleasant and it's easy to park in front, run inside grab what you need. I don't think they've had a downturn in business, but this is one convenient store that I hope stays open in the future. To address some of the other reviews, yes it's old and dirty. Who cares, it's a liquor store, you're not eating off the floor lol read more

Somewhere between a Quickie Mart and a Grocery Store, Pohley's market is a cool independent. My deli sandwich was good. The staff are really friendly. TV on with the football game-cool. According to my son, they like to play practical jokes on the high school students. Prank calls, fart bombs, throwing coins. That's awesome. It's also cool that they donate money to the high school, and sell the HS football practice jerseys. I'm going back more often. read more

Pohleys Market - Pohley's Market - Grocery Near Me - Windsor, California

I'm on the fence here whether this is a three or four star place. I am bumping them up because it's a small independent business with good customer service. Really, this is more a liquor store than a grocery store. They have a good selection of beer, wine, and the hard stuff. I didn't look at prices too closely, but it seemed like liquor store prices, not discount store. I mostly came for the deli counter. They have a good selection of meats, breads, and toppings. I ordered a salami sandwich on sourdough. I was pretty happy with the amount of meat on this $7.99 sammie. It was not the best, but it was pretty darn good. I'll come back for lunch or if I am in the area and need some adult beverages. read more

They are awesome. If you asked for it they will get it for you. And if they can't they will let you know. The deli is definitely worth it the bacon is worth it read more

Pohleys is an old fashioned food market and fills the void if you need some simple items like milk, bread etc. There are new owners and the store is now more spacious and has been given a thorough cleaning. Besides the food and produce Pohleys has an excellent deli. The sandwiches here are large and very good. Good variety of deli meats, cheeses etc. Pohleys won't replace your local Safeway but it sure does come in handy when you need a few items and avoid the lines at the grocery store. Plus it's always nice supporting a local business. read more

Stopped for a sandwich and it was very tasty. Super affordable price and quick service. Lots of drink and chip options as well. Super happy with this stop. read more

So this was my first visit to Pohley's for a sandwich and not liquor. Lol. Heard so many good things and I just have to say it's a nice market and the staff is sooooo nice, but I was not a fan of the sandwiches. Too dry of a sandwich. And mind you, this is only a review of the sandwiches. I'll definitely be back but not for the sandwiches read more

Pohleys Market - Roast beef in sourdough. W/everything & pepper jack - Grocery Near Me - Windsor, California

Great local market with really competitive prices on spirits (aka hard alcohol). I've only stopped to get some high end tequila, but the owner is a really nice guy and it looks like they have good sandwiches and other options as well. Will definitely be going back to try out more of what they have. read more

Really good prices on bottled wine, and a great place to pick up a deli sandwich. The staff are always very sweet. Perfect for what it is!

Great neighborhood liquor store and deli. Everywhere I've lived I find a cool spot like this for when I don't want to or can't get out to safeway. These guys made me feel right at home. Super friendly, fresh sandwiches, fair prices. read more

As a guy that has to travel quite often for work, I'm always looking for a good sandwich spot. After grabbing a sandwich at Pohley's, I've found my spot in Windsor. They use Boar's Head quality meats and cheeses, and they've got the great Dutch crunch bread which puts them up over the top of the five star mark. read more
