Having lived in Kansas City, I love good bar b q. Came across Kin smoke and it smelled so Good so I thought I'd give it a try. The wings were amazing!! Got the dry rub, and you have a choice of various sauces. They were so meaty and tender. The dry rub was delicious! Also ordered the St. Louis style ribs. Very tender and meaty. They have a variety of sauces on the table Our waitress sweet and very attentive. Great bar b q!

When I saw that Healdsburg had a BBQ joint in the square, I was stoked to try it out. Was seated almost immediately and ordered a drink. There were only two servers and a nearly full dining room. Im not sure these two ladies stopped moving the entire time I was there. Ordered brisket and fries so that I could sample all of the BBQ options on the table. I asked for the combo which is part flat and part point. Both were tender and juicy. Fries were on point as well. Crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Dare I say, the perfect fry. The espressor sauce is awesome! You get the tang of vinegar and then the espresso comes in on the back. Great combo. The Carolina BBQ is VERY mustard forward, while good, if you dont like mustard, maybe skip it. The Alabama white has a very mild horseradish flavor but is still better than average. The spicy BBQ could be more spicy for me, but is otherwise pretty good. The Kin BBQ sauce is much sweeter than any of the others. And the KC BBQ sauce, I mean, how can you go wrong! This one is no exception. Super tasty. When I was looking at the menu, I saw that they had a hellfire sauce for their wings, and you know how much I love a good hot chicken wing and how disappointed I have been lately. I asked my server for a side of it so I could taste it. This. Sauce. Is. Delicious. It's plenty hot, which is great, but it also tastes great, which is what sets it apart.

This such a wonderful spot if you want a good hearty lunch or dinner! It's right downtown Healdsburg, and has lights outside it's adorable! The atmosphere is casual yet upscale because their food is of excellent quality!! There are so many options of bbq they have it's such a treat! Everything they have is above and beyond! I got the Y.C.B burger which was 1/2 pound- their bbq burger patty, cheddar cheese with vegetables although I didn't get mine with the veggies, and their soup that was delicious and a lemonade we also got their "frickles" as well which are fried pickles with a delicious side of ranch. If you are a pickle lover like myself these are for you! Perfectly coated in batter. The service is always very good, they are SO nice here! It does not matter if it is busy or not they are always there to come back around and make sure your drink is refilled you need anything etc. Wonderful service, delicious bbq and perfect location! This place is a must if you haven't been!

I saw a review on Check Please Bay Area so I bookmarked this to try the next time I'd plan to be up in the Healdsburg area. Hubby & I got an opportunity this past Thursday on our overnight stay. We entered the restaurant around 5:10pm. We were warmly greeted and led to a table. Unbeknownst to us it was HH. Even better. Hubby got the Hamm's draft beer just because it was retro. I got the well margarita. The Hamm's draft was served in a glass shaped like a beer can. You can purchase a glass if you want a souvenir. Both of us ordered the 1x1 platter plate. Choice of one meat and one side. We didn't spot a price listed but decided to get it anyway. Turned out it's $19.50. We both went with the St Louis pork ribs. 1/2 rack. Extra $3. The side - Hubby got the potato salad and I got the apple horseradish coleslaw. The sweet cornbread was a little dry but better with the soft spread. Food came quickly on an aluminum tray. On the table there are six different sauces for you to choose from to add to your ribs. I liked the traditional BBQ sauce and the molasses sauce. The pork ribs were fork tender. Street parking and dedicated parking lots available.

2x2 (C.A.B. Prime Brisket, St. Louis Pork Ribs, Bourbon Baked Beans, KINsmoke Mac n' Cheese)
    Vivi L.

Average at best BBQ experience. We ordered the 2 x 2 (2 meats, 2 sides + cornbread) and opted for the brisket, pork ribs, mac & cheese, and baked beans. Brisket: so so so dry. I think it had a good smokey flavor but I needed to add the bbq sauce to help with the dryness. Pork ribs: these were good! Tender and smokey Mac & cheese: quite LITERALLY the worst mac & cheese I've ever had in my life. It's pasta shells in a watery cheese sauce. The cheese does not stick to the pasta at all so you're essentially eating buttered noodles. I'm amazed this gets served. Bourbon baked beans: these were really good! Great bbq flavor and we liked how there's meat chunks in it as well. A plus here is that the sides are pretty large. Service was quick. The BBQ sauces at our table were virtually empty so I'd suggest the servers check the condiments per table more often. The space is huge with wooden booths and tons of tv, great place to catch sports games at

Delish! You can smell it just walking through the door. That sexy barbecue smoke just lingers. The whole set up just screams bbq from the wooden booths to the carousel of barbecue sauces. The menu is full of great choices and we settled in on a few to share. Service was always at the ready. The pollo borracho sandwich was jam packed with flavor. The burnt ends were super tender, the fried pickles on point, and the Mac was cheesy. Get yourself in here and enjoy!

Great dinner and cocktails at Kinsmoke in Healdsburg. Place is very cool looking and smells so good when you walk in. I sat close to where the food was coming out so I was seeing some good stuff. We got the happy hour margaritas which were really good. And $6 each, pretty great deal. I had the chili cheese fries and hellfire wings from the happy hour menu and my husband got the bacon cheeseburger with fries. Their fries are sooooo good and definitely one of the best burgers I've tasted in quite awhile. Give this place a try, great food, great service and great portions with great hour prices! Ok, my pictures are never that great because I always get so excited when my food gets there i forget to take photos and just dig in. So, everything looked so much better than what you see, it's my fault! Haha

The BEST bbq I've ever had. We have visited 3 times and have been equally impressed each time. We always get there when it opens so we're always greeted and sat immediately. The inside is very country but in a very inviting way and this time of year it's decorated for Christmas! The burnt ends are a must try! They have such a unique flavor profile that isn't like anything I have ever tried before. Another favorite is the smoked chicken and white sandwich. It's creamy and slightly spicy and has yummy pickles! The alabama white sauce is to die for! On our most recent visit, I tried the salmon which was cooked to perfection. The skin was crispy and the potatoes were delicious. The salad had a good vinaigrette taste to it. My husband of course got the smoked chicken and white with mac and cheese. The max and cheese is so delicious. Very creamy with a slight kick to it. It's a must visit each time we visit Healdsburg from Sacramento.

Wow this place is amazing! The location is perfect as it is in the plaza. The wings were my favorite! Lots of sauce options which is nice. I would recommend this place it is 10/10!!!

We were visiting the town of Healdsburg and stopped in for lunch at KINSmoke. We were seated right away and the restaurant was clean and pleasant. There was just one server taking orders and serving food. That was fine. When you visit a BBQ restaurant you expect to have good and flavorful food. That was not the case here. We ordered the brisket expecting it to be flavorful and tender. That did not happen. Our brisket lunch was very dry and half of the meat was burnt. Yes it was burnt and hard to eat. The server checked in on us to see how our lunch was. I did not want to ruin our lunch experience. So I said "it is fine". The server must have known that the brisket was not tender or flavorful based on the appearance and burnt crust that the food was not good. Sorry to say. She did not ask any further. The French fries were very good. Although that was the best part of the meal. I did leave a tip. However lower than I normally would have if the food had been good. Check out the photos below. The second photo is what you would expect brisket to look like. The first photo shows burnt brisket in the front. It was burnt halfway through. I decided not to have a conversation about the food at that time. I decided to add my comments to Yelp instead.

    2x2 meat combo
    Tony G.

Walked by this joint and instantly got taken in by the sept of smoked meats. So I decided to check the place out. Walked in as one of the first people to arrived as it just opened up and we were greeted by a super nice staff member. Ambiance is just as you think for a cool rustic bbq spot. Ordered the 2x2 meat combo- ribs and brisket and yooooooo that brisket was off the chain! I wanted to order more even as I sat enjoying the first plate of brisket. Yes it's that good (imo). I really like the variety of sauces and the host brought out a hot hot sauce damn!!! Hot but good. Our waitress was super cool and accommodating, service gets a I f you're in the Healdsburg area and are looking for some good bbq, I would recommend checking this place out. I can't wait to come back. Oh and you gotta try that hot hot sauce ask for it.

    YBC burger
    Carol B.

Been wanting to come here since seeing it on the show, Check Please. We got the YBC burger and 2x2 brisket and ribs. Meat was not as smoky as expected. Brisket had some dry pieces. Quite disappointed. We live in Sonoma and sadly this place doesn't compare to Cochon Volant (meat very smoky and moist), or even Fremont Diner back in the day. Burger was ok but nothing special. They got the side salad wrong too - supposed to be beet salad but it was just greens. The fries and fried Cajun shrimp were good. We liked the ambiance and choice of sauces. We will give Kinsmoke another shot if we're in the area but hoping the meat will be much smokier.

First off, they were so welcoming when we checked in. And I love that it's so pet friendly. Hostess that checked us in was a doll. The inside decor and the layout was so cute. One side is the hostess counter and right across from there is a waiting lounge area which I believe is also utilized for dining. Walking through, they have indoor seating to one side and the bar area to the opposite. Also dining available along the hi top bar counter. We had a big group which they had us set up on the patio. Another beautiful layout. It's like dining in a community garden slash secret garden. Our waitress who took care of us was amazing. So sweet and very friendly. Not just her but the entire staff there. Menu wise looked amazing. Also it was also a recommendation from one of the staff at a winery we were just at. Drink menu was quite huge too. Of course food was on our mind and it did not disappoint. Big group meant a lot of share plates to start off. A double of things ordered to start off. Daily crudo which was served with wonton chips. Fresh fish with all spices and marinaded. It was fresh and delicious. You gotta have oysters if it's available. Curry deviled eggs was quite tasty as well. Your classic eggs with a little twist. Mushroom egg rolls were a hit. It literally came piping hot so it was a little wait till we enjoy it and it was delicious. Came with two dipping sauce which paired very well. Salsa macha fries, similar concept as the elote corn with the coltija cheese, lime creme and cilantro. Brisket can also be added which we opted out for. Then there was the grilled Vietnamese steak with the not so sticky rice in a cube form. Cooked perfectly and the crunchiness of the rice was perfect. Also the dipping sauce was great. Beef brisket tacos were another hit. Two orders and loaded with meat and all the topping. Very flavorful and delicious. Cant come here and not have their almost famous chicken tenders. Big chunks of chicken battered and fried to a nice golden color. It was so juicy and served with pickle chips and dipping. You can have it hot or now with the sauce. Crispy duck confit was delicious. Nice potion of duck with bitter greens and duck fat potatoes. Brazen burger, which was pretty massive. Classic burger but better and with bacon and fries. Then you have the kimchi noodles, added chicken and shrimp or without. That dish was tasty. You either love kimchi or not and the way it was prepared with pasta, delicious. And lastly, the special was a hot ham sandwich I believe. Served with potatoes salad and gherkins. It was a hefty sandwich with loads of meat and cheese. Simply but so good. Food was excellent as we literally had loads from the menu. Of course loads of recommendations which I know why. The food was exceptional and service was great. Restaurant is beautiful and service was excellent. Also they're so pet friendly. Plus, we ordered a dog patty for the pup and it was quite tasty...lol.... Can't wait to come back, hopefully soon. Not sure if menu if set or it changes seasonally. Regardless, whoever is in charge of menu, chefs kiss.

The standout appetizer had to be the stuffed squash blossoms. THE SAUCE IS TO DIE FOR and goes especially well with their fries. The lamb tartare was unique and didn't taste gamey. I'm not a big fan of uni in general but the toast was great and uni was as fresh as it could have been. For entrees, we ended up with the full order of mussels, the steak frites, the trout, the pork chop, and a few burgers. The burgers were nothing special with burnt buns and slightly overcooked meat. The steak frites we upgraded to the ribeye, and it was truly fantastic. I usually hate ordering steaks at restaurants since I know we can make better at home, but theirs was fantastically done and tasted pure. The trout was incredible as well with the delicious sauce and fresh summer vegetables accompanying it all. The pork chop as well was done well and had many components that complimented every flavor on the plate. We ended the night with their melon sorbet which was nice and refreshing especially in the heat of the day and place. Wanted to try their mille-feuille but my party was too stuffed to share it with me. Overall, great place that took over Molti Amici and plan on returning!
