I am recently attending a class in Windsor, Ca. and have stumbled upon this bbq house nearby. I must say, this is definitely a gem and the people of Windsor is very lucky to have this establishment to their convenience. The food is cooked right with just the right amount of flavor. The sides are well made and the price is on point so you're definitely getting your moneys wort here. Their service is fast and your food is served with a great attitude. Kinda disappointed that I live 68 miles away but I'll definitely come back here whenever there's an opportunity to do so.. in the mean time, I still have three more days to enjoy this gem. read more

Was attending a concert at the LBC and wanted to have dinner close by, chose the Red BeeBBQ in Windsor. I ordered the tri-tip/beef brisket with a side of mac & cheese and their cornbread with honey butter, had my food in just a few minutes. The staff was friendly and accommodating and the prices were reasonable. There are tables inside and out. Mac & cheese was very cheesy and good, but I couldn't place what spices were used. A slightly different flavor from what I expect from Mac and Cheese but tasty. I did like the fact that they did not skimp on the cheese, very creamy. I chose the 1- meat, 2-sides combo. The brisket was plentiful - tender and flavorful. It was just warm, that's my only constructive criticism - I would've hoped it was hot or at least warmer than it was. As far as the BBQ Sauce - I know enough about barbecue that there are many different flavors. For example I do not care for Carolina barbecue with the vinegar base. With their house-sauce I couldn't pin down the flavor. I wasn't a huge fan of their sauce as I like mine on the sweet side. The corn bread with the honey butter was very tasty - I would stop by this place again just to pick up an order to go. Food poisoning. Out of the three of us, two ended up in the emergency room after eating here, which is extremely concerning and unacceptable. We ordered pork ribs with two sides, beef brisket with two sides, and pulled pork with two sides. Unfortunately, everything tasted extremely old--especially the meat, which seemed far from fresh. The texture, flavor, and overall quality were clearly off, like the food had been sitting far too long before being served. I don't make complaints lightly, but this experience was genuinely alarming. No one should have to worry about getting sick after eating out. While the staff was kind and polite, the condition of the food completely overshadowed that. Food safety and freshness should be a top priority, and this was a major failure in that regard. First time visiting this place, and I have to say, I'm impressed! It's a cozy little shop with two staff members running the show. They offer a variety of meat options, but it seems like certain types run out quickly--we went around 6:30 PM, and some were already gone. We ordered the 3-meat, 2-sides combo (pork ribs, BBQ pork, and grilled chicken) with mac and cheese and a house salad. The portions were huge! My husband and I shared it, still had leftovers, and everything was absolutely delicious. I also got the to-go dinner special, which included 3 meats (half portions) and 2 sides. If you order a combo, they'll give you a glass of wine or beer for free--but you need to let them know, as it's mentioned on a sign at the counter. I'll definitely be coming back. I'm going to preface this as a 4.5 star but the price and how nice the guy was had it lean more 5 than 4. Cute little place next to the Panda Express. I desperately needed somewhere with a wall plug to charge my phone, which the guy helped me figure out which one worked, so I came here. Delightful surprise. The $15.99 for three meats (chicken, rib, beef, rice, salad, cornbread, mac salad) with a $2.99 Thai tea/coffee (half and half) was a great price. Based on the photo I thought it'd be a small meal but it is sizable! Definitely at least two meals worth for me or one hearty meal for someone who eats more (teens I'm looking at you). The chicken is so good, moist, flavorful. Ribs cooked perfectly for me, not too soft but not difficult to chew with nice fat ratio. Although I saw some reviews saying otherwise, I enjoyed the bbq sauce personally. Didn't care for the Mac on the side but I think my husband would like it. The Thai tea/coffee is pretty good, boba was a bit hard and was probably not the freshest or maybe wasn't cooked completely. Still one of the better Thai tea/coffee I have gotten from somewhere not southeast Asian food place. Going to come back with my husband on one of his diet cheat days. read more

Hands down one of the best BBQ places around! Whenever we are in Windsor we have to stop by for some Tri-Tip, Brisket, and chicken. The meat is very moist and juicy. It doesn't need BBQ sauce but it adds a kick of flavor. The brisket is nicely smoked but some of the juiciest brisket I've ever had. I also enjoyed the corn bread with honey. What a treat. Also tried the chicken and that too was not a disappointment! Portions are quite large here and prices are more than reasonable for the amount of food you get! The combo is your best bet. You get to choose 3 meats. I went with chicken, ribs, and beef. The ribs are my favorite but the other two meats are just as deletable. So juicy and moist. You don't feel like you're choking on the meat. It all sort of melts in your mouth as you're chewing it. The rice on the side is so flavorful! The baked beans and Mac and cheese are also my side choices. It's all so good! Although we didn't try the potato salad, MIL did and it ended up being tossed. The bbq sauce they use is unique. I can't quite describe it. Not bad, not good, but different. Get it in the side. The chicken was delicious. Moist and flavorful. Unfortunately, that's where the good bbq ended. The tritip was a bit dry and tough. I tried correcting the cuts on the slices but that didn't help much. The flavor was there, but tough meat is a fail especially with bbq. The pork ribs were ok. But not tender or juicy. Definitely not fall off the bone. We were there for a little over an hour and I lost count, but I saw where the issue is. The young man that was tending the smoker/warmer, kept opening it, there were already meats out so it wasn't to cut fresh to serve, and flipping the meats! Leave the meat alone! Last month I ordered from here through DoorDash and left a bad review -- mainly because I didn't understand the cut of brisket I got. The owner, Ge, personally reached out to make it right, and today I went in to talk with him. From the start, Ge was nothing but professional and kind. He didn't argue or make excuses -- instead, he immediately wanted to fix it. He gave me a full plate (2 meats and 2 sides) completely free, then even took the time to show me a whole brisket, pointing out exactly which part I had last time and explaining the differences. I'd never had that cut before since I'm used to sliced brisket, so it was awesome to actually learn something new. Ge's customer service was outstanding -- he kept thanking me for coming in and giving him a chance to make it right, but honestly, I'm the one who should be thanking him. The brisket and pork ribs were AMAZING, just like always. I also want to sincerely apologize for my previous review -- I jumped to conclusions without understanding the food, and Ge went above and beyond to show what true customer care looks like. This place was absolutely amazing. In the pic you'll find that's the sample they offer me and my four friends because I checked in on yelp. It was an insane amount of meat and it was all fantastic. The chicken was very spicy. The meat very tender but we ordered the crab boil. The all in one and another crab and they're fried rice. I heard that the ribs they have our fall off the bone tender. We had a margarita. A Boba. Everything was magnificent. Now the crab comes with the top on so you have to pull it off and it's all cooked but that crab meat is the most tender I've ever had. It's Dungeness crab. The shrimp we're not my favorite but for the price point of 3999 on a crab boil. Class even though they're the head on shrimp with her which I prefer because once I get the more tender they deveined them. Which I found absolutely amazing. The owner was just lovely and so is the gentleman working with him. We walked in at 9:35 and they closed at 10 and they accommodated us for another hour. The name is deceiving.
